Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/03/wwe-smackdown-312025.html
We are 22 days away from Wrestlemania 41. We are in London, England. Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett are on commentary.
We see various wrestlers arrive. Seth has security following him.
Cody Rhodes comes out to talk. Cody says he will face John Cena at Wrestlemania. He says he stand face to face with him in a few nights. Randy Orton comes out. Orton says he remembers when Cody was breaking into the business and busting his butt harder than anyone else. He said Cody left and it took balls.
He says Cody is still the same guy. He talks about Cody facing Seth in Hell in a Cell with his pec torn. He says Cody did it for the people and won the match with a torn pec. He then says Cody beat Roman and finished the story. He says there's always another story and Cody is stuck in it. He says Cody is in control of his legacy and says the business is hot because of Cody.
Orton says he loves him, respects him and is proud of him. He says it's time for Mania. Orton says Cody will enter and leave Mania champ and will beat the hell out of Cena up and down the Vegas strip. Orton says Cena wants to go for #17 but there will be a time when he wants to go for #15. He says he won't kick him in the balls though like a coward, but will look him in the eye and tell him he's coming for the title.
Drew McIntyre comes out. Drew says it's a couple of nepo babies having a love fest and says it makes him sick. He asks what Randy has done to justify a title match. He tells Randy to go to the back of the line. He says Cody should have listened to him but he shunned him and attacked him.
Drew talks about Priest screwing him over the last year. He says it won't be Orton taking the title from Cody, it'll be Drew. Drew says KO may have a point about Orton. Drew says he knows Orton's back is hanging by a thread and he will break it. Drew goes to say something to Cody then Cody hits him. Drew then avoids an RKO.
We see Pretty Deadly and The Street Profits head to the ring.
Drew vs Orton has just been signed for tonight.
WWE Tag Titles - The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson)
AD = Angelo Dawkins
Mark Nash does the ring announcing. He's new. PD is in British flag attire.
AD side headlocks Kit then shoulders him over. AD hits punches in the corner. Kit facekicks him. AD takes an atomic drop into a dropkick. Ford takes a double hiptoss then AD takes a ddt. We go to PiP break and return.
AD twisting double underhook suplexes Kit. Ford gets crotched up. AD enzugiri's Kit. Kit rebound lariats AD. Kid is launched into a codebreaker on AD for 2. Ford misses a top rope splash and Elton gets a 2 count on him.
Ford superkicks Elton. Elton is pushed into a backdrop for 2. Kit hits a flying spear while Elton hits a flying euro over him. AD takes a spilled milk for 2. AD blocks a codebreaker. Kit skins the cat and is caught on AD's shoulders. Kit takes a doomsday blockbuster and is pinned.
Thoughts: It was short and didn't get to be an epic like it could have been. What we got was fine but it really only felt like a taste. I don't like PD losing at home and Elton got little in here.
Katana Chance, Kayden Carter and Zelina Vega talk to Chelsea Green and her crew. Vega calls them the bootleg Men in Black. She says she's a big threat to them and they challenge for a trios match tonight.

We go to break and return. Carter hits forearms on Alba then she rolls her into a superkick. Carter dropkicks her while she's on the bottom rope. Carter springboard legdrops Alba.
Piper sentons Alba on accident. Chance is rolled into Piper. Piper takes a samoan drop then Chance keg stands onto Piper for 2. Chance walks up the buckles and dives onto Alba outside. Carter superkicks Piper. Green distracts the ref and Piper michinoku drivers Carter to win.
Thoughts: It was an average match. Chance had a noticeable botch here on a rolling move and the break ate up a lot of this.
The heels beat up the faces after and Vega comes out. She ddt's Piper then is hit by Green from behind. Vega hits forearms on Green. Alba superkicks Vega then Piper sentons Vega.
WWE United States Title - LA Knight (c) vs Braun Strowman
BS shoves LA off the lock up then throws him down. LA side headlocks him. LA hits punches then BS hits a big hiptoss for 2. BS hits a corner splash then BS is pulled over the top. LA dropkicks him through the ropes then BS hits a big facekick outside.

BS runs around the ring then gets nailed by Jacob Fatu.
Thoughts: Again, we didn't get a lot of this before the finish. The two matched up better than expected but this ended as it heating up.
Fatu samoan drops BS on the commentary table. Fatu hits headbutts. LA hits punches on Fatu then Fatu pop-up samoan drops him. Fatu corner hip attacks BS several times. Fatu then double jump moonsaults him twice.
Jackie Redmond interviews Jimmy Uso. He says he will slap Gunther again if he needs to. He says Gunther isn't unbeatable. Jimmy says him and Jey will bust up Gunther.
Jimmy runs into The Miz and Carmelo Hayes. Miz says Jimmy is the other Uso. He says they are career sidekicks and Gunther is the lead. Miz says Jimmy will never know what it means to carry the industry and neither will Jey. Miz tells Jimmy if he slaps him he'd still be on the ground. Jimmy teases doing it to him. Fatu says they went on their own last week. Solo tells him to lower his tone. Fatu says when it comes to Braun, he will be the last man standing so they better get in where they fit in. He says he's bringing the US Title home to the family with them or without them.
We get a video of Naomi talking. She says she has always done the right thing and asks Bianca why she thinks it was different than her doing the right thing. She asks how Jade took her place with Bianca and asks who inspired her and had her back. She says she's done being treated as the 3rd wheel and is doing being underappreciated. She tells Jade to proceed with caution if she stays in her way.
Jade Cargill asks Aldis where Naomi is and says it's on sight when she catches her. Michin and B-Fab say they know Jade will take care of Naomi when they find her. Fab says Naomi deserves all that is coming to her and tells Jade to do what she has to do.
We get a video on an unknown wrestler.

Mich pele kicks her and PK's her for 2. Flair hits chops. Mich backdrops her. Mich corner cannonballs her then hits a soul foot for 2. Mich misses a kick against the steps then Flair sweeps her on the apron. Flair then submits her with the figure 8.
Thoughts: It was average. Flair didn't really work the leg til the end and nobody did anything too wild here. Flair was not very over at all.
Tiffany Stratton was interviewed. She talks about last week's segment. She says Flair loves to talk and didn't let her get a word out. Tiff says she has nothing to lose at Mania as she loses to a vet, but Flair loses to a little girl. She says she can't wait to see Flair's look when she loses. She says Flair's ego will stay in Vegas she will walk out women's champ.

They lock up and Orton side headlocks him. Drew shoulders him over. Drew boots Orton in the gut and bangs his head off the buckles. Orton hit corner punches and sends him into the post shoulder first. Orton's head is banged off the commentary table then drew is backdropped onto it. We go to PiP break and return.
They trade shots. Drew stomps Orton's hand then Orton lariats him. Orton powerslams him. Orton hits a draping ddt. Kevin Owens comes out. Drew claymore kicks a distracted Orton and wins.
Thoughts: It was another shorter one here and it was average. KO coming out furthers the program with Orton at least but there's not a lot else to say about this.
KO bangs Orton's head off the commentary table. Orton sweeps him onto it. KO then runs.
We get a Rey Fenix video and the commentators say he's coming soon.

Miz springboards into a superkick from Uso. Uso hits a top rope splash and wins.
Thoughts: Like the other matches, we got half of this, went to break and returned for the 2nd half. They blew some kind of neckbreaker spot here. The match was average as expected and Uso got the win as expected.
Uso calls out Gunther on the headset after.
Drew is in the back, greets someone then is interviewed. Drew says nobody screws him over and when no one gets in his business, he wins. He says he's going to town and says everyone is invited.
Drew opens the door and runs into Damian Priest. DP beats up Drew and bangs his head off a box and a car hood. DP then throws the owner of a car through a table. Drew knees DP in the gut. Drew then is chokeslammed onto the front window. DP asks if Drew has any more jokes and says, "rest in peace, jack@ss". Punk then walk past with security behind him.
Nick Aldis is in the ring and says he's here to get the triple threat match between Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Seth Rollins signed. Roman comes out with Heyman and we go to PiP break.
We return. Roman has the mic and says to acknowledge him. Roman says it's beautiful how the crowd sings. Heyman joins in too. Seth comes out before Roman says much more. Seth says this is their building and says they came here to try and burn down the old guard years ago. He says there's been a little love and lots of hate. Seth says they accomplished their mission.
Roman says "we" died a long time ago and it's only been Roman. Roman says he took us to where we are today and made it better than when they found it. Roman asks what Seth has done. Seth says Roman let the biggest snake in the world in Punk in. He says Roman shook Punk's hand when he could have let him finish him. He says he has to clean up Roman's mess again like always.
CM Punk comes out. He says he came here to chew gum and sign a contract and he's out of gum. Paul tells Punk he's closing the show at Mania and gets to live his dream of all dreams. He says Punk is a Wrestlemania main eventer.
Seth grabs the mic. He says Punk doesn't deserve to headline Mania and blames various people for it. Punk thanks everyone and thanks the fans for chanting his name for 10 years. Roman says Punk should thank him. Roman tells Punk to close the show thanking him. Punk thanks him. He says because of him, he will see him in the main event of Wrestlemania. Punk says that's not the favor he is owed though and the show ends.
Thoughts: This segment wasn't that much outside of them announcing this as a main event and Punk saying he is still owed a favor. They ran short on time and they spent too much of the time playing with the crowd.
Overall thoughts: It wasn't one of the better Smackdowns. A lot of time was wasted on listening to crowd chants. None of the matches really got he time they needed and there weren't a lot of new developments here. Mania is on it's way and they are definitely trying to prevent injuries. There really wasn't anything must see here and it was a very average show overall. You could skip this and not miss anything. I would give this a 5 out of 10 and would not recommend it.
