WWE Monday Night Raw 3/24/2025

This aired at 4PM due to being in Scotland.

We are in Glasgow, Scotland. Michael Cole and Pat McAfee are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive.

John Cena comes out and gets loud "John Cena Sucks" chants. Cena says the fans are ready to do their worst and he says he has turned the spotlight on them. He says the fans know he can rip any of them to shreds and says no one is safe. He said he put a clueless kid on blast last week. The crowd chants, "f--k you Cena" and Cena rips them for using profanity. He says he doesn't need to single out anyone here because they are all horrible people.

Cena says the fans get to figure out how he makes them pay for the abuse the fans put him through. Cena says he's been paying attention and testing the fans. He says he knows more about the fans than they know about themselves. Cena says their lives are sad. He says this is all the fans have.

Cena says the fans have been an experiment and nothing more than rats in a cage. Cena talks about giving the fans a spinner title. He says the fans ripped him for this. Cena says he will ruin wrestling for every fan. He says he will win a 17th title at Mania and force fans to forget Flair. He says we will forever say the name of John Cena. He says he will win the title, retire with it and take the title home with him. He says he will let the fans make a new toy belt as the real belt comes with him. He says he will be the last real champ in WWE. He says revenge is best serve cold and he will rip their hearts out and force them to watch him walk away with their traditions and dreams.

Cody Rhodes comes out. Cody says Cena needs to take the title away from him before he takes it away from the fans. Cody said he made a mistake last week. He says Cena is angry and willing and maybe the most dangerous Cena ever. He says Cena has made a massive mistake.

Cody said he fought hard for the title. Cody tells him to come take the title now and puts it down on the mat. Cena then walks away. Cody says he needs Cena to understand his need to take the title doesn't outweigh their need to take it. Cody says the champ isn't standing where Cena is, he's standing here. Cody says Cena will walk away from Mania and the WWE empty handed.

Thoughts: It was a bit of a long segment and wasn't as good as last week's segment. I think we see what heel Cena is going to be now and I don't know how many more of these we need until Mania.

The Uso's (Jimmy and Jey Uso) vs A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller)

Jimmy was Jey's mystery partner here. A lot of people thought we would get Joe Hendry since he's from Scotland.

Jey side headlocks Austin then shoulders him over. Jey blocks a hiptoss then hits a hard lariat on Austin. Jey uppercuts GW then corkscrew kicks him in the corner. GW takes a double back elbow and a double elbow drop. GW is sent over the top, Austin is sent with him and Jimmy suicide dives both.

GW clubs on Jimmy's chest then Jimmy uppercuts him for 2. Jimmy chops GW in the corner. Jimmy is thrown out, GW slides out but is punched and goes on the commentary table. Austin then nails Jimmy hard with a forearm from the side and drops him.

Austin chokes Jimmy on the ropes then GW punches Jimmy. Austin hits mounted punches on Jimmy. Jimmy fights off a 2v1. GW spinning forearms Jimmy then Austin slingshot stomps Jimmy. Jimmy backdrops him. GW hits mounted shots on Jimmy.

GW cravates Jimmy. Jimmy uppercuts GW then GW rolls in and is caught with a samoan drop. Jey gets in and lariats GW. Jey hits punches on him and Austin. Jey spinning enzugiri's Austin. Jey corner hip attacks Austin then superkicks both opponents for 2. Jey takes a double forearm then is popped up into a double punch for 2.

GW misses a 2nd rope elbow drop. GW is popped up into a samoan drop. Jimmy is crotched up top. Jimmy superkicks Austin. GW is popped up into a Jey spear. Austin takes a 3D and is pinned.

Thoughts: I liked this. The Uso's had some nice double team spots here and Theory's forearm on the outside was super stiff. It did run a bit long though.

Gunther comes down and knocks Jimmy off the ropes. He fights with Jey and is superkicked twice. Jey slips on a spear and Gun pounds on Jey. Jimmy then runs Gunther off with a chair.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez talk in the back. Dom and Carlito walk in. We cna't really hear them that well but Liv insults Finn. Liv says Raquel will become a double champ tonight. Liv tries to get Dom to bring Penta into Judgment Day. Carlito eats an apple and Dom asks if he's got one for him.

Bayley talks to Lyra in the back.

We get a video with old photos of luchadores including Black Shadow, Santo, Mil Mascaras and Blue Demon. The video says one star shines brighter than the rest and it's El Grande Americano, from The Gulf of America. They say he was raised to be the top luchador and was the face of lucha. They say he was blackballed by his enemies and disappeared without a trace. They say the legend has returned. They say he's an icon and trailblazer.

Thoughts: They had a bunch of AI images here.

Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee ask Adam Pearce what that was. Pearce says that's the newest member of the Raw roster. Chad Gable comes in and says it's not him. He says someone got him sick on the way over here and he can't compete tonight. Chad gives him a doctor's note and Pearce says it's legit. Rey says they don't need a match, they will see him in the parking lot. Chad says Lee should take on El Grande Americano.  Lee says he will take the match and Rey calls Chad a jack@ss.

WWE Women's Intercontinental Title - Lyra Valkyria (c) vs Raquel Rodriguez

RR throws her then swings her around. Lyra's up and over is blocked. She dropkicks the knee. RR blocks her sunset flip. Lyra rolls her out of the ring. Lyra's dropkick through the ropes is caught but she hurricanrana's RR into the commentary table. Lyra jumps off the top and is booted in the gut by RR in the air.

We go to break and return. RR slingshot jackhammers Lyra for 2. RR misses a corkscrew elbow off the buckles. Lyra top rope legdrops her on the back of he neck for 2. RR corkscrew elbow drops her off the buckles.

Lyra is caught off the buckles but hits a ddt out of it for 2. Lyra dropkicks Liv through the ropes. Lyra rolls up RR and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a shorter one. What we got was acceptable but this wasn't what it should have been.

Liv beats up on Lyra after. Bayley comes out to help Lyra. The faces get the edge on the heels.

We get a package on the Iyo/Bianca/Rhea situation.

Adam Pearce heads to the ring.

The Uso's talk in the back. Jimmy says Jey has become a meme and a joke. He asks why Jey didn't hit the killshot tonight. He says Jey won't win if he stays like this. Jey knows. He says he hasn't beaten Gunther and doesn't know if he can beat him. Jimmy says he can't beat him. He says this Jey can't. He says he needs Main Event Jey Uso and the Jey who won the Royal Rumble.

Jimmy then challenges Gunther next week. Gunther says sure as long as he doesn't trip and fall like his brother. Jimmy then hits a hard slap on Gunther and Gun laughs.

Adam Pearce comes out and talks about Rhea signing her name to the Women's Title match contract. Adam says Rhea is not in the match. Iyo Sky comes out. She says she doesn't care about contracts. She says it doesn't matter if it's Rhea or Bianca, she will take on both because she is the women's champ.

Bianca Belair comes out. She says she earned the #1 contender's spot and won Elimination Chamber to get to Mania. She says she's not going to let Rhea headbutt her way into the match. She says if she didn't earn it, she doesn't deserve it.

Rhea Ripley comes out. She says she doesn't care about Mania. She says she doesn't care who she has to face to get her title back. She says she just wants her rematch. Adam says they have been talking about Rhea's match for weeks. Bianca says Rhea waited 3 weeks and can wait 3 more. Iyo tries to interrupt and is piefaced. Iyo goes after both and Adam says enough.

Adam says Rhea gets her rematch next week and the winner faces Bianca. Iyo is popped up into a ddt on Rhea then Bianca nails Iyo. Iyo armdags Bianca and Rhea boots Bianca. Iyo shotei's Rhea then Bianca lariats Rhea out. Iyo jumps off the steps with a headscissors on Rhea on the floor. Bianca KOD's Iyo outside onto Bianca.

Thoughts: I don't want to speak too soon but I don't think they should do the 3 way as it makes The Rumble and The Chamber mean less if Rhea just got the show without winning either.

Dom and Penta talk in the back. Dom says he's willing to offer Penta a spot in Judgment Day. He says Penta could be IC champ tonight.

We get a video on The War Raiders.

The New Day talk to Adam Pearce in the back. They say they deserve a tag title shot at Mania. Adam says no. He says they should have said they would be willing to prove how great they are in a tag match to qualify for them.

Bianca comes in. She asks who she is facing at Mania. Adam tells her she's the guest referee for Rhea vs Iyo. She says she doesn't know how to referee and says Bianca has a week to figure it out.

El Grande Americano vs Dragon Lee

Grande is clearly Grande and has some extra tassles on his tights plus a mask. Grande trips Lee and armlocks him then armdrags him. Lee headscissors him out then topes him. Grande hurricanrana's Lee and headbutts him for 2. Grande the exploders Lee off the apron to the floor.

We go to break and return. Grande has Lee on his shoulders and Lee victory rolls him. Lee pumping knees Grande. Grande is in tree of woe outside of the ring and Lee top rope double stomps him as he hangs.

They chop each other on their knees. Lee facekicks him then rebound germans him. Lee superkicks him. Lee is overheasd belly to belly suplexed into the buckles. Lee sitout powerbombs Grande for 2. Lee is on the buckles and Grande pulls the mask off. Grande then ankle locks him and Lee taps out.

Thoughts: I wasn't a fan of it. The exploder off the apron should have ended things but they went on like nothing major had happened. Grande got the cheap win here by pulling off Lee's mask.

CM Punk comes out. Punk says he's not in a good mood but the big ovation helps that. He says he's tired and jetlagged. He says he has a match at Mania but he's not getting what he wants, or is he? He says Seth screwed him out of Elimination Chamber. He says Seth has been crying since he got here. He says Roman is taking this a bit personal as well as he sees that his wiseman isn't just his wiseman.

He says there will be a contract signing on Smackdown and asks the crowd why they are booing. He says they wanted it here and so did he. He says he can't wait to sign the contract and see if it gets him closer to getting him what he wants. He says he will see them at the contract signing in London. He says neither of them have beaten him without the others help. He says he brought them into the business and can't wait to be the man to take them out of it.

Logan Paul does a video. He says AJ Styles is added to the list whose downfall he is praying on. He tells AJ to meet him next week.

Cath Kelly interviews Bron Breakker. He says Penta joining Judgment Day doesn't concern him. He says he will beat him because the dogs are barking in Glasgow.

WWE Intercontinental Title - Bron Breakker (c) vs Penta

They trade wristlocks. Penta side headlocks him and is thrown off. Penta kicks him in the leg. Bron then runs the ropes nad lariats him over. Bron hits corner spears. Penta flying headscissors him. Penta springboards and gets hit with a knee.

Bron jumps off the apron and flying lariats him over the commentary table. Carlito and Dom come down. We go to break and return. Penta chops him and is punched down. Penta hits forearms then Bron hits a big forearm. Penta superkicks him then Bron jumping knees him. Penta superkicks him.

Bron takes kicks then Penta slingblade bulldogs him. Penta goes to dive but is hit with a euro. Bron throws him up but is caught with a backcracker for 2.

Bron blocks a canadian destroyer and gorilla press gutbusters Penta for 2. Penta superkicks him and enzugiri's him in the corner.  

They fight on the buckle and Bron headscissors him down.  Penta tope con hilos him. Penta hits a canadian destroyer for 2. Penta has words for Carlito and Dom outside. Penta is on the buckles and Bron runs up the buckles and frankensteiners him. Carlito grabs Bron and is thrown in. Bron flying spears Carlito.

Dom then clips Bron and causes a DQ.

Thoughts: What we got was alright but the ending was totally lame here and a poor way to end the show.

Dom pounds on Bron then Finn comes out and chairs Bron as he fights Dom. Finn hits more chair shots on Bron. Dom chairs Bron with the edge of it. Dom gives Penta a chair. Penta throws the chair at Dom and superkicks the chair into his head. Finn then pounds on Dom and chairs Bron. Finn top rope double stomps Penta.

Overall thoughts: It was a lame Raw. There were no great matches. The stars weren't really in action and there weren't a lot of big developments here outside of El Grande Americano's debut. This completely forgettable. This was just not the strong show they needed headed into Mania and they are not really doing Mania justice so far. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 and even that's probably generous.
