WWE NXT 2.0 5/31/2022

WWE NXT 2.0 5/31/2022

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2022/05/wwe-nxt-20-5242022.html

Diamond Mine arrives. Strong says the Creeds have the night off and told them to sit back and watch what they do to Pretty Deadly

Diamond Mine (Roderick Strong and Damon Kemp) vs Pretty Deadly

Elton slams Strong and hits a euro uppercut. PD double suplex Strong then Strong leg lariats Kit. Elton rides Kemp then slaps his back then Strong slaps Kemp. Kemp hits two big suplexes on Elton and flying shoulders him. Strong chops up Elton. Kit and Strong fight on the floor with Strong going into the apron.

Elton suplexes Strong for 2 and then Kemp deadlift germans Kip. He hits a twisting suplex on Kit then slingshot spears him. Strong and Kemp backbreaker their opponents at the same time as we go to PiP break. We return with Kit putting a chinklock on Kemp. Strong gets the hot tag in and backbreakers both opponents.

Strong through Kit into Elton then backdrops Kit. Elton pushes Kemp into the steps then Strong and Kit double clothesline each other. Elton hands Kit a title belt. The Creeds come down and get hit with a belt from PD when Julius pushes Strong out of the way then PD hits their bearhug + nekcbreaker combo to win it.

You had to see the finish on replay to get a good view of it. It wasn't a bad match at all with both teams looking solid.

Grimes and Sikoa meet up in the back. Sikoa says he has his back tonight and will make sure Trick and Melo pull nothing on him. Sikoa says he has got next. Duke Hudson walks in. He said he has next after he beat Bron Breakker. Sikoa says him beating Bron by DQ didn't count since he needed Gacy. Duke says Sikoa is inexperienced and not on his level. Duke says he isn't good enough to make a challenge for any title then Sikoa challenges him for tonight.

We see a preview of Tony's crew on a pier with LdF.

Grayson Waller is in the back telling everyone they can learn from him and Tiffany Stratton. He talks down to them saying they don't have athleticism or looks. He calls everyone stupid then Josh Briggs walks up behind him. Briggs says if he wants to impress everyone, show how well he can take a country @ss beating. Quincy Elliot and Javier Bernal were both visible in this segment.

We see Tony D's crew and LdF at a pier. They meet up in a yacht. Santos arrives and Tony said they are late. Lopez tells the captain to take themsomewhere nice. Santos brings up AJ Gallante. Tony says he doesn't trust or respect him. Santos says he isn't shocked by that. Santos says he knows a snake when he sees one and Tony is a cobra. Santos says he would love to squeeze every last breath out of him. Tony says okay, let's do it. Their crews start to get fiesty. They talk about Santos beating Tony, and Tony says he cheated. Santos says he won't fight him unless he puts something on the line. Tony says he wants a 6 man tag at In Your House. He says if Tony's crew wins, they join the D'Angelo family, and if they lose, they join the LdF family. Santos and Lopez don't get this idea. Tony says he is the don and is about making big moves. Santos says he sees 3 new members of LdF, then says he will use his yacht once he wins. Tony says his crew will tak over the Legado's at IYH. They agree and Santos tells him to get off his boat.

This was a fun segment.

Cora Jade vs Elektra Lopez

Lopez messes up a wheelbarrow move then I think Cora missed on a basement dropkick. Lopez then kind of drops her on her face and and throws her. Lopez bangs her head off the mat then slams her. Cora fights back with forearms then Lopez basement dropkicks her. Lopez grabs her legs as she puts her knees on her back.

Lopez gets kicked out of the ring then Cora headscissors her inside. Cora hits a shining wizard and double stomps on her back. Cora sentons her off the top and wins.

This wasn't good. Lopez is still super green and botched a bunch of stuff here.

Wes Lee is interviewed. He said he has been waiting to fight Xyon Quinn. He said his last match didn't go as planned with him, but he will keep fighting. Sanga comes in and tells Wes to fight him like he fought him. Sanga says he has a giant heart even though he isn't a giant and tells him best of luck.

Roxanne Perez does a promo for the Women's Breakout tournament. She says she was watching NXT as a kid and took a 10 hour bus ride to train with Booker T. She said she missed the prom to do a match. She said Cora Jade did the same thing she did and she is close with her. She says Tiffany Stratton is bigger and stronger but not more determined.

Wes Lee vs Xyon Quinn

Lee runs at Xyon and they both kind of fall over. Wes flips out of a giant throw then kicks him. Wes double stomps his back then is thrown onto the top rope gut first. Xyon then bounces him on the rope and he flies off.

Xyon pulls on his arm then slams him. Xyon hits corner spears and Wes kicks him. Wes then moonsaults him off the middle buckle and is caught and lawn darted into the buckles. Xyon gets rolled up out of nowhere and Wes wins it.

Very surprising ending here. The idea was okay but they were a little sloppy here and it was short.

Diamond Mine is fighting in the back. Strong is mad as he told the Creed's to stay in the back and they didn't. Ivy said Julius took a belt shot for Strong, but Strong insists he would have won regardless. Strong says when he says to do something, you do it. He says he knows what is best for Diamond Mine. Strong says if the Creed's don't beat Pretty Deadly for the tag titles at In Your House, they are out of Diamond Mine.

Joe Gacy talks about Bron Breakker. He shows clips of The Steiner Brothers and said Rick Steiner would allow Bron and his brothers to fight. Joe says he did that because Rick and Scott Steiner fought. Joe accuses Bron of having uncontrollable anger issues. Joe says he knows a lot of intimate information about Bron when he kidnapped his father Rick. He told Bron to lash out at In Your House. He said one way or another, he will be NXT Champ at In Your House.

Bron is shown watching that promo. Bron says he lost the title once and doesn't want to lose it again. The lights flicker and we hear Joe laughing. Bron goes to throw a tv but stops himself. Bron says he is unpredictable, but it's not a weakness, it is a strength and he will rip Gacy apart. If Bron is DQ'd at In Your House, he loses the title.

We have a women's championship summit with Toxic Attraction, Wendy Choo, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. Chance says it is their time to talk and they are sick of hearing them and seeing them. They said they had a nice run but they will knock T-A off the top of the mountain. Gigi says it is delusional confidence. Gigi said they had been through a bunch of contenders already and Wendy tells them to sign the contract.

Jacy accuses them of playing video games while they controlled hte women's division. Kayden says it's easy for them to be on top when they don't defend the titles. Wade Barrett tries to interrupt. Kayden says they are the only tag team to ever beat them. She calls them airheads. Wendy tells them to sign the contract again as Jacy calls them the Lollipop Girls. Mandy says she has the most pressure going in and the crowd chants to sign the contract. Mandy tells everyone it's been 200+ days with her being champ. She signs the contract and Wendy hits Mandy with a spitball. They all then brawl and knock the table over. Chance and Kayden dive on Gigi and Jacy. Mandy then gets put on the table and Wendy does her sleeping elbow drop on her through it.

This was not good at all with everyone being annoying on the mic.

Kiana James goes up to Ivy Nile who is working out. Kiana asks if Ivy will still talk to the Creed's after they get kicked out of Diamond Mine this weekend. Ivy says the Creed's will win. Kiana says the Creed's have less than 12% chance of winning according to her numbers. Ivy grabs her and asks what her numbers say her chances are of her kicking her @ss and she says they are lower than that.

Duke Hudson vs Solo Sikoa

Duke legitimately got beaten up by Jake Atlas last weekend. They are apparently a couple and there's quite the story behind how that one turned out.

Solo hits a lariat early and headbutts him in the chest. Duke goes outside and drapes Solo's throat on the rope then slingshots in and germans Solo. Duke pounds on Solo then Duke running back elbows him. Duke hits an overhead belly to belly suplex. Duke neck cranks him and takes a nice back body drop. Duke then takes a samoan drop and a corner splash. Solo superkicks him and hip attacks him. Solo then top rope splashes him and wins it.

This was short but I thought it was a decent match. Duke took some nice bumps here and looked solid.

Tiffany Stratton did a promo. She was not happy about not being in the Women's Breakout Tournament, then bragged about taking Nikkita's spot. She said she wouldn't have won anyway. She said she has bodybuilding, gymnastics and cheerleading medals and says she works harder than anyone else. She says Roxanne Perez's lifestyle is as boring as a cardboard box. She said Roxanne missed her prom because he didn't have a date.

We see Thea Hail graduate. She goes to announce which college she will go to. She has various hats from Notre Dame and other places then throws them out and puts on a Chase U hat. We then see Chase U celebrate.

Very clever segment.

Grayson Waller vs Josh Briggs

Jensen and Henley are with Briggs and Waller tells them he doesn't want a 3v1. He tells them to leave so we can have a slobber knocker. Briggs shoulders him early then does his slide outside to punch him in the face. Waller kicks him and does a cool capoeira kick on him.

Waller gets on Briggs' back and rides him like a horse. Briggs hits a gordbuster then Waller elbow drops him. Waller leg lariats Briggs then does a cowboy dance to mock him. Briggs backdrops Waller then Robert Stone and Sofia Cromwell come out. Briggs kicks Waller then dives at him and knocks him out of the ring. Von Wagner gets on the apron, Briggs knocks him off then Waller hits his roll into the ring for a jumping cutter to win it.

Von jumps Briggs after and bangs his arm off the post. Jensen makes the save.

The match was fine with Waller doing funny cowboy stuff against Briggs.

We see Nathan Frazer warming up in the back for his match with Grimes tonight.

Ivy Nile vs Kiana James

Kiana has music with whistling in it. Ivy chinlocks her early and fireman's carries her. Kiana kips up out of a wristlock and hits a stiff forearm. Kiana then takes one back then side slams her. Ivy hits some kicks on her and hits a step up enzugiri. Ivy then hits a stiff flying kick in the corner for 2. Kiana hits a hard lariat on her and yells "brains over braun". Ivy slips her dragon sleeper in but Kiana reverses it. Ivy hits a stiff haymaker then grounds and pounds her. Ivy hits more kicks then hits an exploder for the win.

I thought this was Kiana's best match yet. They were stiff with each other here and it was nice and short.

Pretty Deadly come out after. They said they are going to win at In Your House and will be the reason the Creed's get kicked out of Diamond Mine. PD asks what she will do when Diamond Mine closes. They get on the apron, The Creed's come out then throw them in. PD is then throw out and lariated over the top.

We get another Italian promo. The guy is riding a ferrari and we see clips of skiing in the Italian Alps. He says style, class and athleticism is coming to NXT. Giovanni Vicci is coming soon.

Cameron Grimes vs Nathan Frazer

We get a flip out of a wrstilock early then Grimes armbars Frazer. FRazer headflips and cartwheels out of a wristlock then they double kip up and stare down. Frazer hits a nice dropkick and does some flipping around before hitting a headscissors. Grimes kicks Frazer from the apron and we go to PiP break. Frazer gets backdropped on the apron and takes a chest kick.

We return and Grimes takes a flatliner into the 2nd buckle. Frazer flips out of a german then asai moonauls him into a slice. Grimes gordbusters him then takes a superkick. Both men are out of it then Grimes gets his legs up on a Frazer running SSP. Grimes uranage's Frazer and they forearm each other on their knees. They get up and trade more shots then Frazer hits a nice snap hurricanrana for 2.

Frazer topes Grimes outside then takes a spider german. Grimes then hits the M. Bison stomp on him and wins it.

This was a little short but it was a good one. These two matched up very well together and had a good cruiserweight match.

Trick Willians and Hayes attack Grimes after but slide out when Grimes doesn't go down.

Overall thoughts: I thought it was a good show. The main was good, Duke/Solo was good and Diamond Mine vs PD was decent. The Toxic Attraction segment sucked though.

Dramatic Dream Team 5/22/2022 - Audience 2022

 Dramatic Dream Team 5/22/2022 - Audience 2022

DDT hasn't had good looking cards lately with intergender crap and Phermones. This isn't much better. They didn't even stop with the intergender stuff in one of the matches here as the men pretended to be women on top of it.

Kazuki Hirata vs Yuki Ueno

Hirata dropkicks him early. Ueno rolls out and pulls him out then throws him into the rails. He then jumping face kicks him outside. Ueno then hits a perfect dropkick for 2. Ueno slams him then frogsplashes him for 2. Hirata comes back with a headscissors then does a nice hiptoss counter into an stf.

They trade forearms and Ueno hits a suplex. Hirata no sells it and suplexes him back. Hirata enzugiri's him then starts walking slowly. He then does a weird pose for some reason and Ueno falls down. Ueno doesn't get up and Hirata goes to do his Magnum Tokyo dance and is hit from behind. They both start doing the Magnum Tokyo dance then they snap out of it and Ueno hits his forward rolling ddt to win.

I have no idea what was going on here or why.

Yuki Ishida vs Naomi Yoshimura

Yuki tries some shoulders early and gets nowhere then is shouldered over.  Naomi hiptosses him, slams him and elbow drops him for 2. Yuki tries some forearms on Naomi and is chopped down.  Yuki then flying shoulders Naomi. Naomi hits a big slam on him then Yuki fights back with a sumo chop flurry. Yuki hits a neat sumo fisherman's takedown then spears him. Naomi hits a chop then hits his side judo throw for the win.

This was a short squash but was well done and fun. Yuki was very fiery here and Naomi did good as the hoss.

El Unicorn, Ilusion, Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya vs. Burning (Jun Akiyama, Tetsuya Endo, Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku)

Unicorn trips Yuya and armdrags him. Unicorn flips out of the corner then backflips into a headscissors. Unicorn then hits a nice dropkick on him then a nice dropkick in the corner which Jun no sells. Unicorn tries forearms shots on Jun but gets nowhere then takes a hard slam. Jun goes for a ddt but Okada stops him from doing it.

Okada and Illusion go at it. Illusion dropkicks him off a leapfrog then Hino gets in. Hino hits chops on Okada and slams him. Naya and Okada trade forearms and Okada is blasted with some. Naya hits a high hip toss and elbows him for 2. Illusion slams Okada then top rope dropkicks him. Okada then hits a nasty facekick.

Okada diving headbutts him off the top for 2 and both teams break up the count for some reason. Illusion bulldogs him out of the wheelbarrow position. Endo and Hino get in. Endo goes for his handspring back kick and is fallaway slammed then standing moonsaults him. Hino racks and throws Endo then sentons him for 2.

Hino exploders Jun then Jun gives him one back. Naya running knees Akiyama then takes Endo's pele kick and knees him. Hino hits a beautiful overhead belly to belly on Endo. Unicorn flips in and does a wild jump up onto the ropes flip into a double armdrag. Hino and Naya then pick up their partners and foot battering ram their opponents off the apron. Illusion and Unicorn then get help from Burning to hit springboard moonsaults outside.

Unicorn jumps off of Naya's shoulders on the top rope and double stomps Yuya. Yuya hits a high backdrop on Unicorn for 2 then crabs him but Uni hits the ropes. Uni and Maya hit forearms then Uni hits a slap flurry on him. Uni hurricanrana's him for 2 and dropkicks him for 2. Yuya then hits a nice water wheel drop for 2. Yuya then backdrops him and crabs Uni for the win.

I didn't get Burning helping out Unicorn and Illusion. I don't know what the explanation was but it didn't make sense since they'd want to win the match. I wish that didn't happen here as this was good otherwise. The big guys played the hoss role well and the teens of Unicorn and Illusion were good underdog faces. This was a good match minus the issues I mentioned.

KO-D Six Man Tag Team Title Tournament Final Match (vacant) - Eruption (Hideki Okatani, Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi) vs. DAMNATION T.A (Daisuke Sasaki, KANON & MJ Paul)

Oka jumps Kanon to start. They battle shoulders. Saka attempts punches on Paul but can't far then starts kicking him. Higuchi then machine gun chops Paul then double chops him. Paul no sells Oka's forearms then is tripped and pulled out. Everyone fights outside and Oka gets a chair pushed in his throat by Sasaki.

Sasaki suplexes Oka then Oka ropebreaks for his crossface. Kanon fist drops Oka and bodyscissors him. Paul then smals and chinlocks Oka. Paul slams him and misses a splash then Oka tags out. Higuchi hits a nice dropkick on Paul and powerslams Kanon. Sasaki dives on him and is caught and dropped on the buckle then facekicked. Higuchi then falling splashes Paul for 2.

Paul and Higuchi trade shots then lariat battle. Paul hits a nice release german on Higuchi which isn't sold then Higuchi lariats him. Yukio hits some kicks on Paul then takes a stiff body block. Kanon hits a stiff shot on Yukio's gut then takes a flying knee to the gut for it. Kanon gets stuck on the top rope and is kicked then flying knee'd.

Oka and Kanon trade forearms then Oka bulldogs him for 2. Kanon and Oka go for submissions then trade forearms. Everyone fights in the ring. Sasaki holds up Oka for a Kanon volleyball spike then Kanon hits a nice dropkick on him. Yukio and Higuchi kick and chop flurry Kanon then Kanon takes a running lariat and a PK. Oka then northern lights suplexes Kanon and butterfly suplexes him. Eruption's Fujita pulls out the ref on a count then chairs are grabbed. Paul hits Yukio and Oka with the chairs. Saki Akai gets on the apron and tries to do something then she gets chaired by Sasaki.

Oka gets DDT'd into a stiff wheelbarrow german. He tries but gets DDT'd then Sasaki top rope elbows Oka. Oka then hits a nice northern lights on Sasaki for 2. Higuchi claw slams Sasaki into an Oka top rope knee drop. Oka misses a 2nd attempt on the diving knee from the top then gets lariated by Kanon. Kanon twisting brainbusters him then Sasaki pedigrees and superkicks Oka for 2. Sasaki hits a weird bladerunner on Oka and wins with a crossface.

I liked this for the most part. It went a little long but there was a lot of stiffness, the heavyweights looked good here and Kanon did a nice job. Saki getting nailed with the chair was also a memorable spot.

Big Japan Pro Wrestling 4/16/2022 - BJW New Standard Big "B" ~ All Time Super Best~

Big Japan Pro Wrestling 4/16/2022 - BJW New Standard Big "B" ~ All Time Super Best~

There's a show from 4/18 as well, but it's the video quality is so bad that it is like watching it with glasses on.

Hikaru Sato & Kota Sekifuda vs. Kazuki Hashimoto & Kosuke Sato

Hikaru Sato is in from All Japan here. Kosuke and Kota go to the mat then stand off. Kazuki and Hikaru shake hands then trade kicks. Kazuki asks for a handshake then slaps him then then they each hit a bunch on each other. Hikaru then slaps him and slams him and then gives him a free shot to kick him.

Kosuke gets in and hits two big dropkicks on Hikaru. Kota then gets in and backcrackers Kosuke as he hangs off the 2nd rope. Kota then top rope dropkicks him for 2. Kosuke guillotines him and suplexes him out of it.

Kota starts to make a comeback and does an unusual slam on him then backdrops him for 2. Kota then picks up the win with a top rope forgsplash on Kosuke.

This was short but it was decent. I liked Hikaru and Kazuki trying to bring a little something to this and Kosuke/Kota matched up well as usual.

Abdullah Kobayashi, Jaki Numazawa & Ryuji Ito vs. Brahman Brothers (Brahman Kei & Brahman Shu) & Drew Parker

Everyone fights at the bell. Jaki gets sprayed with something by the Brahman's then Jaki and Ito counter a 3 person irish whip. Abby gets in and swings his bullrope around. The Brahman's fight with people in the corner of the arean where it's too dark to see match as Abby yells. The Brahman's put a bull rope in Jaki's and Abby's crotch then pull on it to hurt them then they spray Jaki again.

The Brahman's then hold Jaki for a Drew dropkick. Jaki gets a suitcase put in his crotch then Drew rolls a bowling ball at it. Jaki makes his come back with a back elbow on a Brahman then makes a tag to Abby. Abby then goes down and bites a Brahman's crotch. I was going to make a gif of that but nobody needs to see that. Abby then does the same to the other Brahman brother then hits his bell off of Drew's crotch.

Ito gets in and swings his cane wildly. Drew tries to throw salt at Ito and nails his partner instead. He begs for a metal sign from a Brahman then nails his own partner with it. Abby gets in and shining wizard's Drew then Ito rolls up a Brahman brother for the win.

It was a hardcore comedy match. It wasn't that well done or anything, but it was probably more interesting than a straight match would have been. It did have some level of entertainment to it, but that's about it.

Daisuke Sekimoto & Shigehiro Irie vs. Kazumasa Yoshida & Takuho Kato

Kato and Sek shoulder battle to start then Kato shoulders him over. Yoshida hits chest clubs on Sek but makes no headway and gets dropped from his chops. Irie gets in and hits a hard forearm on Yoshida then hits some headbutts. Sek elbow drops Yoshida.

Yoshida hits chest clubs on Irie to little effect then Irie does his rebound splash on him. Yoshida tries to fight off both guys with chest clubs but takes a stiff neckbreaker from Sek for 2 at 5 minutes. Irie can't get a backdrop on Yoshida so Yoshida backdrops him instead.

Kato comes in and hits slams on both opponents then bulldogs Irie. He hits a nice fallaway slam on Irie then Irie comes back with a nice black hole slam on Kato. Sek gets in and lariats Kato against the ropes then takes a running shoulderblock.

Yoshida throws Sek off the top then legdrops him for 2. Yoshida hits a face kick on Sek then takes an abdominal stretch. Kato breaks it up then Yoshida and Kato stereo suplex their opponents at 10 minutes. Sek comes back and lariats both down.

Irie corner cannonballs Yoshida then Sek brainbusters him for 2. Sek then hits a big lariat on him and wins it.

This wasn't bad at all. Yoshida's team didn't bring a lot to this here but I could buy the storyline of Yoshida just trying to hang in there and survive. Irie was good here.

Yasufumi Nakanoue & Yuji Okabayashi vs. Satsuki Nagao & Takuya Nomura

Nomura and Naka start things off. They test strength and Nomura double arm northern lights suplexes him over. Nagao hits some forearms on Oka and they trade hard chest slaps. Oka slams him for 2. Nagao hits a nice dropkick on Oka then takes a double shoulderblock from both opponents.

Nagao chops Oka and Oka dares him to hit more. Oka then knocks him down with one chop. Naka gets in and hits a hard forearm on Nagao then vader bombs him for 2. Nagao hits a running forearm on Naka then gets Nomura in, who facekicks Oka off the apron.

Nomura hits a forearm flurry on Naka then gets one back. Nomura then kick flurries him and underhook suplexes him. Naka flapjacks Nomura then Oka splashes Nomura. Oka and Nomura trade forearms and chest clubs and Nomura has to struggle hard for a slam on him at 10 minutes.

Nagao gets in and hits forearms then russian leg sweeps Oka for 2. Oka takes a double suplex and Nagao forearms him for 2. Oka shoulders down both opponents and takes more Nagao forearms. Oka then kind of running suplexes him for 2. Oka then torture racks him and wins it.

This wasn't a bad match with Nagao trying to go toe to toe with the big guys and Nomura kind of being his back up. The result was never in doubt but it worked.

G-Shock & Alpha Death Match - Kankuro Hoshino vs. Akira Hyodo

We have thin metal rods, barbed wire chairs, ladders, cement blocks and ring steps here.

Hoshino sentons a cement block to prove a point then Hyodo sentons one with rods on it in return. They battle shoulders which Hyodo wins then Hoshino goes into the carpet strips. Hyodo picks up tubes and gets them kicked into his chest. Hoshno hits some elbows then drops an elbow on a ladder on Hyodo.

Hoshino puts some of the rods on cement blocks and gets back body dropped on them. Hyodo then hits Hoshino's back with a cement block and breaks a cement block over the block on his back. Hyodo then stabs him with a rod and chokes him with it. Hyodo then puts a chair on Hoshino's stomach and drops a cement block on it. Hoshi gets put between a ladder and Hyodo slams a chair on it.

Hoshino stupidly flying clotheslines Hyodo and lands his back on a ladder. Hoshino then sentons cement blocks on Hyodo's back for 2 and suplexes him on ring steps. Hoshino slams him on cement blocks and puts a chair on his chest. Hoshino goes for a top rope senton but Hyodo moves and he lands his own back on the blocks. Hyodo then slams him on light tube covered steps.

Hyodo samoan drops him on the cement blocks then misses a top rope senton with tubes and lands on the blocks. They each grab blocks and collide with them. Hoshino then decides to senton a ladder and Hyodo decides to senton ring steps for fun. Hoshino bangs his own head off a block then Hyodo germans him. Hyodo then hits a gorilla press into a gutbuster.

Hoshino STO's him on a ladder then puts blocks on him. Hoshino then top rope sentons blocks on Hyodo and Hyodo kicks out at 2. More blocks get put on Hyodo and a ladder. Hoshino then top rope sentons all of it to win.

This was the usual stupid match between these two. They spend most of it dropping themselves on the cement and do very little wrestling between weapons spots. The matches aren't smart and it's like watching a bad science experiment. They definitely get an "A" for effort though as they have no problems breaking their bodies for a small amount of fans.

BJW Tag Team Title Match - Okami (Daichi Hashimoto & Hideyoshi Kamitani) (c) vs. Kazumi Kikuta & Yuko Miyamoto

Yuko and Kikuta are an odd pairing here. Yuko and Kami mat wrestle to start. Kikuta and Hash get in and trade some shots then Kikuta starts punching him in the knee. Yuko and Kikuta hit a nice double dropkick on Hash. Yuko then neckbreakers Hash. Kikuta hits forearms on Hash then takes a uranage.

Kami gets in and hits some chest slaps and a headbutt on Kikuta then runs him over with a shoulder. Kami slams Kikuta then Hash does the same. Kami then 2nd rope elbows him for 2. Kikuta comes back with a dropkick on Kami then hits a gamengiri on Hash.

Yuko and Kami shoulder battle and Yuko dropsaults him. Kami tries to backdrop Yuko but Yuko reverses it then standing moonsault double knees him. Kami then flying shoulders him. Hash comes in and kick combos Yuko then running step up knees him for 2. Yuko comes back with a release belly to belly.

Kikuta comes in and hits a corner dropkick on Hash then puts an anaconda vice on him while Yuko octopus stretches Kami. Yuko kick and slap combos Hash then Kikuta superkicks Hash for 2. Hash then falcon arrows Kikuta. Kami does a weak shoulder into Kikuta then running shoulders him from behind.

Kami and Hash double team Kikuta on the ropes then hit a double running attack. Kami accidentally hits Hash on a double team attempt and Kikuta's team makes a comeback. Yuko spinning heel kicks Hash then corkscrew moonsaults him off the top. Kikuta hits a rare top rope double stomp on Hash. Yuko goes for his handspring back elbow and is caught then takes a lariat/german combo.

Kami hits a big lariat on Kikuta then backdrops him for the win.

This was a pretty good match and one of the better things any of the four have been involved in for a while. They kept it simple and escalated the level of moves properly until the finish. We got to see Kikuta do some moves out of the norm and the oddball pairing of him and Miyamoto worked out better than expected. I liked this one. A good effort by all here.

Overall thoughts: A good BJW show. The main was good and I thought three of the other tag matches were decent too.
