WOW Women of Wrestling 3/22/2025 Season 5, Episode 28

Miami's Sweet Heat (Lindsay and Laurie Carlson) vs Animal Instinct (Goldie Collins and Katarina Jinx)

Linds throws Jinx down by the hair. They trade waistlocks and Jinx snapmares her. Jinx does her weird twisting leg lariat then slingblades Linds for 2. Jinx boots Linds in the corner. Goldie headbusters Linds for 2.

Goldie slams Jinx for 2. Jinx chokes Linds on the ropes then Goldie rides Linds on the ropes. Linds takes a double suplex. Linds clubs on Jinx then hits an oklahoma stampede. Laur knee drops Jinx for 2. Laur tries some pins on Jinx but Jinx turns one into a grounded surfboard.

Jinx's head is banged off the buckles. Jinx is whipped into a Linds clothesline for 2. Jinx is bridged on the ropes and Laur butt drops her. Laur misses a coner splash. Jinx spin kicks Linds. Goldie hits a top rope diving double clothesline. Goldie spinning side slams Laur for 2. Goldie spinebusters Laur for 2. Goldie take a side slam + top rope elbow drop combo and is pinned.

Thoughts: I liked this one. Animal Instinct became the defacto faces in this due to both teams being heels and that was something different. Goldie was kind of fun as a face and they did what they were supposed to here.

MSH gets on the mic after. Linds says we all know they are the greatest. Linds says they don't need Lana and said they are fine without her. Laurie says they are asking for a title match while Lana deals with the help and the secondary team in their stable. Laurie says they will be our 5x tag champs.

Spring Break 24/7 (Brittany Bay, Sandy Shore and Crystal Waters) vs The Alliance (BK Rhythm, Gigi Gianni and Reina del Rey)

Gigi pushes Bay then is rolled up for 2. Bay sunset flips her for 2 and Gigi kicks the camera on the kickout. Bay hits a dropkick and a corner splash. Gigi is double tripped then takes a double hip attack for 2.

Sandy hits a skull crushing finale on BK then sends her into Waters' boots. Waters hits a flying headscissors then is grabbed by the hair by Reyna. BK knocks Waters over then pretends to surf on her. Gigi corner lariats Waters and chops her.

Gigi chinlocks Waters. Gigi side steps a crossbody from Waters for 2. Reina sends Waters into the buckles and throws her down from tree of woe. Gigi hits shots on Waters in the corner. Waters 2nd rope crossbodies her.

Bay gets in and hits dropkicks on BK. She corner splashes her. Sandy 2nd rope diving facebusters BK. Shore dropkicks BK through the ropes and is pulled down backwards. Shore is held up in the air and is flipped into a slam. Shore is then pinned.

Thoughts: There were a lot of things that didn't really fully hit here. None of it was a big deal though and the match was what it should be. I was alright with this though the execution left a little to be desired.

Sibley Scoles interviews Chainsaw and Daisy Lane. Lane says she feels great about tonight's match. She says Chain will have no problem handling Kalaki. Chain then just yells when she is interviewed.

Daisy Lane and Chainsaw vs Kalaki The Island Girl and Tiki Chamorro

Tiki takes Lane down then shoulders her over. Lane takes a double back elbow then armdrags from Kal. Kal airplane spins Lane and gutbusters her. Kal maybe goes for a curbstomp but Chain breaks it up. Chain chokes Kal. Chain hits corner spears on Kal.

Kal avoids a charge and tags out. Tiki hits chest forearms on Chain. Chain blocks a sunset flip then corner splashes Tiki. Chain drops Lane onto Tiki for 2. Lane wraps Tiki's leg around the ropes and pulls. Tiki headbuytts her and both go down.

Kal comes in and dropkicks Chain. Kal jumping headbutts Chain. Chain blocks a move, pulls down Kal backwards and splashes her to win.

Thoughts: There wasn't too much of note here. Chain was protected at least and thankfully her team got the win on this one. It's nice to see Chain get to do something meaningful.

Chain splashes Kal after and drops Lane on her. Lane then makes the ref count another pin.  

Daisy Lane and Chainsaw talk after. Lane says what they found in each other, they never found in any other teammate. Lane says they found support, encouragement and friendship and their power. Lane then holds up her doll and Chain picks her up.

They do a video on the situation with Tara Strike getting injured.

Kara Kai, Xena Phoenix and Ashley Blade talk in the back. They say let's see how strong Top Tier is when the odds are even. Xena says justice will be served.

Holly Swag says Betty betrayed her before she betrayed her. She says she should have been living the glamour lifestyle and said her mom made her follow too many rules. She says Lana Starr has no rules and makes her look like a superstar. She says she's letting loose.

We see Jessie Jones and Big Rig Betty talk. Jones says Betty should have beaten Holly before but she needs to now. Jones says she needs to beat her like a child.

Next week has Top Tier vs Ashley Blaze, Xena Phoenix and Kara Kai.

Big Rig Betty vs Holly Swag

Holly runs out of the ring and Jessie Jones throws Holly back in. Betty takes her down and is kicked. Holly is thrown into the buckles and takes back elbows. Betty hair throws Holly and sends her hair into the buckles.

Betty chest clubs Holly then kicks her in the back. Betty superkicks Holly in the head for 2. Holly pushes her and piefaces her. Betty throws her down. Jones comes in and tries to hit Holly with a piece of wood. Betty and her with over the stick. Holly pushes Betty into Jones.

Holly leg lariats Betty. Holly chops her down. Holly foot chokes Betty. Holly twisting neckbreakers her. Betty suplexes her. Betty kicks Holly in the ribs. Holly clips her then chinlocks her. Holly clubs on her. Holly slaps her then Betty urakens her. Betty superkicks her. Lana Starr gets on the apron and distracts Betty. Holly mises a shot on Betty then Betty stunners Holly for the win.

Thoughts: It was a decent match with them showing some hatred here and getting rough with each other. I don't think it was quite as good as it could been but I had no issues with it. It would have been nice to see Holly try to get some sympathy and turn on Betty during the match.

Betty throws Holly out after. 

Overall thoughts: It was a fun episode of WOW. Animal Instinct as the faces vs Miami's Sweet Heat was something different. They did what they were supposed to do in the main. The trio match wasn't the cleanest, but it was fine enough. They also did a decent job of hyping up next weeks Xena/Blaze/Tara vs Top Tier match. I'd give this one a 6 out of 10 as I enjoyed this one.
