AEW Double or Nothing 2026 5/24/2026

AEW Double or Nothing 2026 5/24/2026

We are in NYC. Excalibur, Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone are on commentary.

Renee and Mick Foley talk in the ring during the pre-show. MJF comes out when they talk about him. MJF says all Mick did was fail. He says Darby Allin will let you down tonight. He says Mick is an underdog like the fans and fails when his back is against the wall. Mick says he lost a lot of matches but he never lost a match in 2:15 like MJF. He says that's not a loss but a disgrace. He says he has Darby Allin to contend with. He says there's shades of him in Darby and says Darby will steal the show, keep the title and take MJF's hair. Mick says MJF has wavy hair and it's waving goodbye tonight. MJF then low blows him. Darby Allin comes down before he can do more and MJF runs. Mick tells MJF not to run away.

Mick talks about Jon Moxley asking Mick to see Darby before AEW, as he says he was told he could do anything. Mick says seeing him succeeds is like seeing himself succeeds as Darby is the weird kid. He says to win one for the weird ones. Mick then says "bang bang".

Main Show

AEW Tag Titles - I Quit Match - FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) (c) vs. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage

Cope and Cage can't team again if they lose. They all hockey fight to start. FTR goes out then comes back in. They fight again. Cage hits mounted corner punches on Dax then back body drops him. Dax lariats Cage down. Dax puts barbed wire around his arm. Cage hits a reverse ddt. Cage has a brace on his forearm. Cage puts barbed wire on the middle rope and trips Dax into it. Cage stands on Dax's back.

Cage whips Dax with a belt then Cope whips both FTR members. Cage chokes Dax with a belt and hangs him. Cash chairs Cage then bangs his arm off a chair. Cope rams FTR with a ladder. Cope pulls a table out. Dax and Cope trade shots with Cope on the apron. Cope lariats Dax over the top and goes with him.

Cash chairs Cope. Cash puts a chair around Cope's head and sends him into the post. Dax brings a toolbox in. Cage grabs plyers from it and grabs Dax's nose with it. He then grabs Cash with the plyers in the nuts. Dax hits him with a tool box then chairs his arm.

Cash chairs Cage. Cope and Dax get on a commentary table. Cope is spike piledrivered through it. Cage's arm is banged off the steps. Cash tries to it with a cement block but misses. Cage's arm is put in the block hole and Dax chairs it. Cage is asked if he quits and says he banged his mother.

Cash then chokes Cage with barbed wire. Cage is hit with a shatter machine. Cash hits Cage with a mic. Cope spears Cash and Dax.

Cope chairs both FTR members. Cage goes to chair Dax. Dax begs off on the mic. Cash says he'll quit if he stops. Stokeley punches Cope with a watch. Cope takes a shatter machine. Cope's wife Beth Copeland (Beth Pheonix) comes out. She hits Stoke with punches. Dax sends Beth into the steps.

Dax says he quits and Cope's team wins.

Thoughts: They did too much for the opener here. How do you really top barbed wire, fire, spike sticks and run-in's in the first match? It was a pretty quick moving match. I would have liked some blood, which we oddly didn't get, a slower pace and just more drama over big spots. I still liked it, but they got very little out of the "I Quit" concept here.

Takeshita does a subtitled video where he says a photo is more than an image and can tell stories about how your journey can begin and remind you of your sacrifices to chase goals. He says it can show you where you are going. He says the final image will show him beating Okada.

AEW International Title - Kazuchika Okada (c) vs Konosuke Takeshita

Don Callis is on commentary for this.

They stare down and trade forearms. KO side headlocks him then facekicks him. KT goes for raging fire and they stare down. KO is facekicked then he flying lariats him. KT is sat up top and KO dropkicks him down. KT is sent into the rails.

KT is rammed into the rails. KO tries to pin him with one foot. KT exploders KO. KT flying knees KO. KT tope con hilos him. KO over the back neckbreakers KT on the knee. KO slams and top rope elbow drops KT.

KT flips out of a german. KT wheelbarrow germans him. KO no sells it and dropkicks him then lariats him. They fight on the apron. KT pumping knees him. KO rainmakers him on the apron. KO ddt's him on the floor. KO tries to tombstone KT on the floor and Don leaves commentary to stop KO, saying KO will break his neck. KT brainbusters KO on the floor. Don yells at KT for it and they argue.

KT corner facekicks KO. KT top rope superplexes him inside. KT forearms him then reaches between his legs and germans him for 2. KO tombstones him. They trade forearms. KT blue thunders him. KO tilt-a-whirl slams him. KO backslides him into a short-arm lariat. KO dropkicks him.

KO goes for the rainmaker and is lariated by KT. KO dropkicks him then KT pumping knees him for 1. KT hits raging fire on KO for the win.

Thoughts: The selling was poor here as often is the case with Takeshita. They hit a lot of big moves then they would just pop back up after. I liked Don getting involved at times and it's too bad they couldn't further it. They kept up a fast pace here and kept things moving but there wasn't a ton of story. KT kind of was the face in this. It wasn't the smart match it could have been and I thought they had potential for a lot more of a story in this than what we got.

Rocky and Mark Davis get in the ring with Don and Okada. KT stands across from all 4 of them like it's about to be a 4v1 fight. Kyle Fletcher then comes out.  Kyle stares down KT then stares down with Okada. Don, Rocky, Okada and Mark leave Kyle and KT in the ring. Kyle hugs KT. Kyle holds up KT's arm and lariats him. Don and Okada smile. Kyle grabs KT by the head and brainbusters him.

Kyle and Okada both grab the title but Okada lets Kyle grab it. Kyle hits KT with the title.

Thoughts: The turn made no sense. Don has always talked about wanting more gold and even stopped Okada from tombstoning KT on the floor. Why would Don want to kick a champ out of his group? That's Mr. Fuji leaving Demolition while they were tag champs for The Powers of Pain all over again.

Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament Quarterfinals - Athena vs Mina Shirakawa

Ath backs up Mina in the corner. Ath misses a corner charge and Mina kicks her off the ropes. Mina armdrags Ath and dropkicks her in the knee. Ath uranage's her on the floor. Thoughts: Ath winning was kind of a surprise as this isn't ROH and she has lost a lot here. Mina worked Ath's leg a bit here but Ath overcame it to win. It was acceptable but nothing too memorable.

AEW Continental Title - Jon Moxley (c) vs Kyle O’Reilly

Jim Ross takes Tony Schiavone's place on commentary for this.

They trade some holds to start. Kyle hits leg kicks. Mox side headlocks and wristlocks him. Kyle kicks him in the back. Mox kicks him in the back. They go head to head and trade forearms. Kyle hits a strike combo and legsweeps him.

Kyle throws him down by the arm. Kyle 2nd rope flying knees him. Kyle armbars him then half crabs him. Kyle blocks a dragon screw and armbars him. Kyle then ankle locks him. Mox lariats him down then hits a death rider ddt for 2. Mox does a choke and Kyle backrolls into an ankle lock. Mox ankle locks him. Kyle taps out.

Thoughts: It was a good bout with Mox working Kyle's leg and eventually winning off of it. It was a submissions based match but they did some nice striking as well. It got enough time to play out and it just was a nice clean match.

They shake hands after.

Joe sits him up top and headbutts him. Will hits a hidden blade for 1. Will hidden blades him from behind and pins him.

Thoughts
: I liked it. They kept it moving and didn't go too crazy here. They ended it at the right time too. The backwards throw Will took into the rails looked rough. They definitely channeled some of the Joe/AJ matches a bit. I'm not sure where Joe goes here with the loss and it seems like his little storyline with Will is now done.

Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament Quarterfinals - Swerve Strickland vs Bandido

Swerve gets fireworks for his entrance.

They hockey fight to start. SS shoulders him over. Band slaps him. Band goes up and over then dropkicsk him in the knee. Band double stomps his back then kicks his back. Band flying headscissors SS then SS lariats him over.

They get on the apron. SS slaps him. Band poisonrana's him off the apron to the floor. Band hits a 21plex inside and strts holding his neck when he goes for the pin. Band is popped up and he hurricanrana's SS. SS blocks a 21plex with a kudo driver. SS house call kicks him and pins him.

Thoughts: I didn't like the poisonrana off the apron not meaning much when that should have ended this. Oddly, Band sold that move more than Swerve did. It didn't go too long at least and Band really did ry to sell his neck here. They didn't go too too far with this and they kept it interesting, so this was okay overall.

AEW Women's Title - Thekla (c) vs Jamie Hayter vs Hikaru Shida vs Kris Statlander

Thek is triple booted to start. She takes moves from all 3 opponents. Jamie takes a double boot and a double knee to the head. Jamie double lariats Shida and Kris. Thek buzzsaw kicks Jamie for 2. Kris superkicks Thek then one-legged packagae piledrivers her. Shida hits Kris with the kendo stick. Jamie pulls Shida out and they double lariat each other on the floor. Thek curbstomps Kris and pins her.

Thoughts
: It was an alright bout here. Everything went well. I liked Kris' fire up spot. Jamie was nice and stiff here and Thek won this as expected. It could have maybe went a little shorter but it was totally fine otherwise.

Thoughts:
We've seen these before and it was similar. It wasn't super serious and was about them having fun and doing some cool spots. they did all that. It was a fun match and it was good. Mark Davis seems to have tripped into a chair leg and hurt his eye which concerns me. There were some rough bumps taken here and we know there was at least one injury coming out of it. I enjoyed it. This was a totally random and thrown together match though.

Jericho jumps through a table after in tribute to Sabu which I didn't like.

DA side headlock takeovers him 3x to start. DA dropkicks him out. DA misses a tope con hilo through the ropes and lands very hard on the back of his neck. MJF side headlocks him then DA reverse ddt's him. DA is crotched up top. MJF 2nd rope tombstones him. MJF side headlock takeovers him and pins him.

Thoughts:
MJF won as expected. He's close to home and he paid too much for that hair to lose it. They overdid it as expected and Darby took some terrible looking bumping as he always does.  It could have been sped up a bit more at times and the finishing stretch could have been better. I was alright with this overall.

DA is put on a stretcher after. MJF stands on him and holds the title up. Kevin Knight comes down and chases MJF away. Kevin then top rope 180 splashes Darby on the stretcher to end the show.

Thoughts: That was a surprise. Kevin was doing fine as a face and I don't love to turn faces who got organically over. We will see what he looks like as a heel, but they have a heel like him and it's Ricochet and he can do more than Kevin can. Ricochet is just older.

Overall thoughts: It was a very good PPV from AEW. The only match I didn't like all that much was Okada/Takeshita as they didn't sell. The wrestlers gave the typical PPV level effort with everyone going all out and giving their all. The women's matches were better than expected. Stadium Stampede was my match of the night and Ospreay/Joe was done pretty well too. As always, they could have done a little less in most of the matches, but it wasn't as egregious as usual. I also do wish they could get the length down as this went over 4 hours as it's an endurance contest for me, especially when the show goes past midnight. I'd give this an 8 out of 10.

Thoughts
: We only saw the second half of it, but it was enough. Lightning had the edge, Makabro made his comeback then Lightning put him down for the pin. What we saw was just average.

An Informante does a promo. He says they are arriving to gain information on Benabe and Mike Nice. He says they are cardboard box champions and were given the titles. Thoughts:
We knew Idol had won already. Like with Markova, I expect him to be champ at the Anniversary show then lose it. What we got wasn't bad but we only saw some of it. Idol works more of a moved based style so he works a little better with Idol than other's would.

Thoughts: We didn't see that much of it so it's a bit hard to comment on it. Bryan was a bit careful here and gave me some Cena style vibes.

El Diabolico does a promo. He says WWC is coming to his town. He says he has the lost soul Xavant in his way. He asks what makes him think that he can dance at his house? He says he's a tremendous fighter but he doesn't care what he has. He says Aguadilla is the city of sharks and says he will have the support in their match. He says he will take him to the real school of wrestling and Xavant will find out why he's the real danger incarnate of wrestling.

Xavant does a promo. He says the people want good wrestling and he will bring it. He says Diabolico isn't thinking straight. he says he's in national hero mode until the Anniversary Show. He says he will give his all for the people of Aguadilla and says when the people ask, he fulfills it. He says he will persevere until he triumphs as that is what heroes do.

John Hawking does a promo. He says he has his hands full with 2 matches. He tells Lightning to get his fists ready because he's ready to fight him. He says Lightning is a legend but he's betting on himself and will win that fight.

We go back to Bryan vs Intelecto Cinco Estrellas. Bryan is taking a group beating. Eddie Colon and Carlito Colon come out to help beat him up. Chicano comes out with a chair and hits Orly, Leyenda and Sole. The heels then leave. Bryan and Chicano bump into each other. Chicano gets his chair ready but they hug.

Eddie Colon talks. He says Chicano hasn't learned that he was voted out. Chicano says he heard Eddie and his brother say the trash needs taken out. He says it gave him a great idea. He says at the 53rd Anniversary Show, it should be Bryan and Chicano vs Eddie and Carlito. He says there should be two trash can's/dumpsters and the two who fall into the trash can's/dumpsters lose.

Eddie says he's the boss and asked who gave him authority to set up matches. Chicano asks if he says yes or no. Carlito says what Chicano doesn't understand is that Eddie is in charge. Carlito says Chicano can't make an offer and Carlito says no. Chicano then asks Victor Jovica who gives the thumbs up. He says he'll see him at the 53rd Anniversary Show.

Joe Bravo does a promo on facing Chicano today. He says life has put them in different places. He says he can imagine the amount of nonsense Chicano said and thought when he found out he was facing him. Joe says he doesn't care what Chicano says. He says Chicano knows that what awaits him is not easy at the show. Joe says let's see if Chicano can last 5 minutes with him.

Chicano does a promo. he tells Joe Bravo to lace his boots up tight and says he'll need it for the tears he will make him shed. He says he'll see him in a few hours.

Ray Gonzalez does a promo. He invites everyone to come to the free show and says he will do a meet and greet. He says he'll be waiting for the fans and says checkmate.

Axel and Abel then close the show. They talk about the free show today.

La Tigresa does a promo. She says the 53rd Anniversary show is dedicated to her. She says she grew up and learned in WWC and says she wants to share the tribute with all of her fans. She say she'll be waiting for us.

Overall thoughts: There wasn't a lot to see here. It was almost all promos and hype for the free the show today. We saw clips of 3 matches here and Rivera/Idol looked like the best one on this show. I wouldn't really recommend this and just thought it was average for WWC standards. I'd give it a 5 out of 10.

AAA on Fox 5/23/2026

AAA on Fox 5/23/2026

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/05/aaa-on-fox-5162026.html

We are in Mexico City, Mexico. Corey Graves, JBL and Savio Vega are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive and hang out. It seems like there are audio issues as we can't hear the commentators for this segment.

Chessman, Dorian, Marisela, Cibernetico, Texano Jr., the Mexican announcer Jesus and others are in the ring. Various wrestlers surround the ring and Dominik Mysterio is watching in the back. There is no English commentary for this segment.

We see a video on the history of AAA. We then hear new translator talk (who we are told is Savio Vega) and he says they are introducing a new GM. Marisela Pena says today sets the path for the future of this company. She says the new GM is a visionary who understands the heart of wrestling. She says this person will take AAA to a new era. The new GM is Rey Mysterio. We then hear JBL and Graves.

Rey Mysterio comes out. JBL complains and says there will be riots everywhere. Dom Mysterio and Dorian Roldan are both upset about this. Savio Vega says hi to everyone. Rey Mysterio talks. He says he had a dream 30 years ago and says AAA gave him the one opportunity he asked for. He says he found a new family in AAA 30 years ago and returns as a GM.

Rey says he will take the company to a bigger level. Rey announces that the AAA Cruiserweight Title will be up for grabs now and it's Laredo Kid vs Rey Fenix.

AAA World Cruiserweight Title Match - Laredo Kid (c) vs. Rey Fenix

They lock up. Kid backs him up in the corner. Rey wristlocks him. Kid headflips out. Rey does leapfrogs and takes armdrags. Rey misses a dropkick.

They shoulderblock battle. Kid topes Rey. Kid comes off the top and Rey sitout powerbombs him. Kid hits kicks and neckbereakers him. Kid michinoku drivers him for 2. Rey pulls Kid's throat down over the top rope. Rey is stuck on the 2nd rope. Rey 2nd rope moonsaults and backrolls into a cutter on Kid for 2.

Rey hits a death valley bomb for 2. They hit each other and Kid canadian destroyer ddt's Rey for 2. They trade chops and forearms. Rey high kicks him. Kid poisonrana's him. Rey germans him.

Rey springboard spin kicks Kid in the face. Kid cradles Rey out of the mexican muscle buster. Rey superkicks him and rope walk kicks him. Kid takes a very weird looking fall into the ropes and is struggling to get up. The ref tries to stop Rey as Kid is still down. The ref looks to the bell ringer and low blows Rey. Kid then top rope frogsplashes Rey and pins him.

Thoughts
: Kid's fake knockout at the end was pretty good here and he did some great selling for it. This just further confirms his heel turn. I didn't like this otherwise. They didn't sell much at all and the canadian destroyer ddt meant nothing.

Next week is the start of La Noche de Las Grandes and the big El Grande Americano Original vs El Grande Americano II mask match will happen next week.

Rey Mysterio talks to Laredo Kid in the back and Spanish. Rey complains about Kid won. Kid says a win is a win. Rey says Kid will face Rey Fenix again next week at Noche de los Grandes.

We see a pep rally for El Grande Americano II.

Anything Goes Match - Los Americanos Hermanos (Bruto Creedo & Julio Creedo) vs. Los Americanos (Bravo Americano & Rayo Americano)

All 4 fight in the ring to start. JC clubs on Rayo then Rayo step up enzugiri's him. Rayo top rope la silla's JC. JC overhead throws him. Rayo takes a backcracker into a fallaway slam. Bravo top rope crossbodies BC. Bravo flying headscissors BC. Bravo hits punches on BC.

Bravo takes a double pop up drop. Bravo is held for shots. Rayo headscissors BC over the top. Bravo walks off of 2 people's backs and dives on JC outside. Rayo 2nd rope moonsaults JC. BC top rope cannonballs his opponents outside. Bravo is sent into the post. Rayo dropkicks BC. Rayo is slammed on the bottom half of the steps. The Creedo's miss a chair shot then get hit with chairs. JC takes double Kawada kicks and is double pounded on.

JC's crotch is pulled into the post. A pinata El Grande is grabbed. Rayo meteora's the pinata into JC. Rayo tells Bravo to get the tables. JC backdrops Bravo on the apron. JC hits shots on Rayo. Rayo is hit with the pinata then lariated by JC. Rayo is slammed on a chair then side slammed on a chair. Rayo fights off both opponents. Rayo is held for a standing pedigree and JC jumps over BC's back to add more to it.

Bravo comes in and hits JC with a US flag. BC is hurricanrana'd off the buckles and also hit with the flag. Bravo topes through the ropes and splashes BC on the floor. Bravo airplane spins JC. BC takes a double top rope diving headbutt for 2. Rayo and BC trade forearms. Rayo hits Kawada kicks and enzugiri's him. JC and Bravo then hit kicks. Bravo and Rayo take a super collider for 2. JC goes up top and hits a double superplex, which may be the first time that has ever been done. BC top rope moonsaults then JC top rope 450's Bravo for 2.

Rayo comes in and hits The Creedos with a kendo stick. BC is laid on a table. Bravo top rope splashes him through the table. Bravo loads up his mask on the ropes. He flying headbutts JC while Rayo russian legsweeps him. El Grande Americano Original belly to belly suplexes Bravo through a table. He then throws Rayo from the apron through the commentary table.

El Grande Americano II comes out. He hits Los Creedos with a chair. The Grande's argue in the ring but neither touches the other. Grande II gets on the mic and talks about what Grande Original did to him. Grande II gets him upset and Grande Original gets in the ring. Grande Original takes his jacket off and he has a shirt on with Grande II's girlfriend on it.

Grande II goes to hit him but Rayo and Bravo stop him. Los Creedos then stop Grande Original from going after Grande II. Grande Original and Grande II then hit each other at the same time, so no one will get in trouble. They fight and everyone, including security, tries to break it up.

Rey Mysterio comes out. He tells everyone to relax. He says they made a big mess on his first day as GM. He says he won't let this ruin the mask match next week and they start fighting again. Other wrestlers then come out to break the fight up. The match ends due to a no contest and everyone fights.

Thoughts: The match was very hard to call because the two teams look so much alike. Rayo has blue on his outfit which makes him look like Bravo. And in various positions, it's hard to tell The Creed's apart with masks on. They did about as good as they could without being able to get blood and without being able to do anything crazy. We got flying, brawling and various weapons shots. The crowd was into it too. The Grande vs Grande feud is easily the feud of the year and even their fights outside the ring have been entertaining. I thought they handled them hitting each other well here. Yeah, this was Los Creedos vs Los Americanos, but the real feud is here is Grande vs Grande and they did that well. This was good and effective. We didn't get a finish, but it didn't even matter.

We get a video with some comic graphics that covers the Grande vs Grande feud.

Overall thoughts
: The biggest match of the year is happening next week with El Grande Americano Original vs El Grande Americano II in the mask vs mask match. No, it won't get as much talk or as many views as anything at Mania did, but everyone who has been following AAA is hyped for that bout. It's been very well booked. The two have done some great brawls to lead up to it. El Grande II has become the second most over face in Mexico next to Mistico and the whole thing has just been massive success. I never watch AAA live, but I'm not missing that match for anything. They did a great job building up that match in the go home show and that's all that matters.

I didn't like Rey/Laredo. It was indy wrestling and not my thing. We didn't get a finish in the main but the main and post-main shenanigans was good enough and it didn't matter. I love Savio Vega, but he was not good on commentary here. He's a great wrestler and an even better booker, but he wasn't fast or accurate enough as a translator and couldn't provide a lot. He's also a Puerto Rican wrestling guy, not a lucha guy and because those styles are so different, he can't really provide a lot of the insights on lucha like Rey can. Maybe he can get better, but it was not a good night for him.

As I alluded to though, it doesn't matter. They needed to get one thing right here with the mask vs mask match and they knocked it out of the park. This gets a 7 out of 10 from me and it was a good show.

WOW Women of Wrestling 5/23/2026 Season 6, Episode 33

WOW Women of Wrestling 5/23/2026 Season 6, Episode 33

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/05/wow-women-of-wrestling-5162026-season-6.html

We are in Las Vegas on Freemont Street. David McLane and Nigel Zane are on commentary.

Top Tier comes out. Coach Campanelli says she will show why the world why she leads the best team in wrestling. She says she chose Xena Phoenix as she wants to show Xena at her peak. She says she wants to show the strength at the top of Top Tier and says she will show Coach Tip #1 - Coach always ends up on top.

Coach Campanelli vs Xena Phoenix

They lock up. CC cravates her. Xena rolls her up twice then armdrags her twice. Xena suplexes her for 2. CC dropkicks her, sending her headfirst into the buckles. CC pulls her hair around the 2nd rope. CC clubs on her and knees her in the back. CC dragon screws her. CC hits knees to the face.

CC swinging neckbreakers her for 2. Xena rolls her up for 2. Xena hits lariats then arm throws her. Xena shoulders her over. Xena hits a corner splash. CC airplane spins her and does a twisting killswitch. CC pins her.

Thoughts: It was a shorter bout but it went well. Xena wasn't bad as a face and Coach worked fine with her. I don't love Xena losing clean like this though as she's one of the most talented girls on the roster and deserves better.

Coach talks after. She says Coach always ends up on top. She says one would think the assessments are done but she has something to show us.We see clips of Glitter and Krush arguing in the back. We see Glitter hitting Xena in the back of the leg with a steel pipe before their 5/2 match which made Xena limp to the ring. Coach says they have to wrestle again because of it. Glitter and Krush shove each other.

Thoughts: They didn't explain the attack on Xena well and if you don't watch regularly, you wouldn't have any idea what they are talking about.

The Enlightened are interviewed. Samantha Smart says Scout Parker knows nature is about survival of the fittest and has the opportunity to be around The Enlightened and learn a thing or two.

Scout Parker is interviewed.  She says her game plan is to bring her force of nature tonight and she's ready to show The Enlightened what her balance of enlightenment is.

Dr. Pam Demonium vs Scout Parker

Pam wristlocks Scout. Scout uses the ropes to flip out. Pam armlocks her, goes to lick her and is armdragged. Scout armdrags her into another pin attempt. Scout flying shoulders her then pumping knees her. Scout enzugiri's her. They go out and Pam lariats Scout on the floor. Pam hits a stroke on her for 2.

Pam camel clutches her and butt drops her back. Pam neckbreakers her for 2. Pam stomps her. Scout flying headscissors her then flying back elbows her. Scout spin kicks her on the 2nd rope for 2. Scout standing moonsaults her for 2. Scout flying corner lariats her. The Classmaster hits Scout from the apron then Pam does a botched 2nd rope diving ddt for the win.

Thoughts: Things were going okay, then they had to botch the finish, which made his end on a sour note. Scout as a face wasn't a good idea on paper and it's really not working.

The Enlightened grab Scout after. Classmaster hits a big chop on Scout and Scout goes down. The Mighty Mights come out and pull Scout of the ring. This post-match beatdown was one of the weakest ones I've ever seen.

The Enlightened are interviewed after. Pam asks if Scout will be ready for them. Pam says they will be back for enlightenment and won't give up on her. They say she will be enlightened.

Brooklyn Love does a promo from the tennis courts. She says Full Throttle is burning rubber right into Monsters and Metal. She says they will put pedal to the metal and there's only one outcome - they run you down and lead you into the dust. She tells Monsters and Metal to get ready to get flattened.

Next week has Penelope Pink vs Genesis in a WOW World Title match.

WOW Tag Titles - Miami's Sweet Heat (Lindsay and Laurie Carlson) (c) vs Best 4 Business (Sandy Shore and Kara Kai) vs Ashley Blaze and Tara Strike

All 6 girls fight. Tara and Blaze get sent out. B4B get on MSH's backs and are rammed into the corners. B4B hits stereo sunset flips on B4B. Kai avoids corner splashes and tags in Tara. Tara hits a strike combo on Laurie then leg lariats her for 2.

Tara legsweeps Laurie and Blaze bottom rope sentons Laurie. Blaze suplexes Laurie for 2. Blaze backrolls Lindsay then dropkicks her for 2. Blaze crossbodies Lindsay then Lindsay boots Blaze. Shore rolls up Lindsay then is thrown backwards. Shore is double booted in the corner. Kai takes a double suplex from MSH.

Kai hurricanrana's Lindsay for 2. Blaze is caught off the 2nd rope and Tara 2nd rope dropkicks them over. Kai pulls Blaze out of the ring. Shore natural selection's Laurie for 2. Laurie takes a double hip attack then a double spin kick for 2.

Tara takes shots from Shore in the corner. Shore chinlocks her. Tara high kicks Shore then Shore pulls her down backwards. Shore curbstomps Tara for 1. B4B and MSH fight. MSH are pulled out by them. B4B are knocked off the apron and Tara dives on them off the apron.

Blaze then topes everyone. Kai does a tequila shot variation on Tara. Blake TKO's Kai. Laurie spinning lariats Blaze. Shore code red's Laurie then Lindsay lariats Shore. Animal Instinct come out. Tara high kicks Lindsay then Laurie is hit with a double superkick. Animal Instinct beat up MSH outside. Blaze hits a knee to the face to a B4b member while Tara buzzsaw kicks a B4B member. Blaze and Tara both pick up pins and win the tag titles!

Thoughts: So the finish likely happened as Animal Instinct said they wanted Miami's Sweet Heat on the 2/14 episode. But...that was February and there's been no updates since so it came off as being random even though it wasn't. The match wasn't that bad for how many people were involved. I probably would have had B4B beat Strike/Blaze by cheating somehow which would force a rematch and build up to Strike/Blaze winning. Instead, Strike/Blaze got the decisive win here and I don't know that we need to see them face B4B again.

Overall thoughts: The show was alright. In-ring wise, it was the usual quality. Coach/Xena wasn't bad and Xena carried Coach to one of her better matches. Pam/Scout had a botched finish which hurt things. The main was fine and we had a title change. How that played out could have been done better though. We've got some clear things set up for the future like MSH/Animal Instinct, Brooklyn Love's crew vs Monsters and Metal and The Enlightened/Scout Parker. I'd give it a higher 5 out of 10 as they did some things well but could have improved on some other things. It was above average.

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event XLIV 5/23/2026

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event XLIV 5/23/2026

The last SNME is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/01/wwe-saturday-nights-main-event-xliii.html

Note - This is one of the weakest special show cards WWE has ever put out. Cody, Roman, Punk, Seth, Drew, Gunther, Bron Breakker, The Uso's, LA Knight, Orton, Fatu, Trick, Brock, Danhausen and Oba are all missing from this. Even a bunch of mid to upper card guys are missing from this.

We are in Fort Wayne, IN. Michael Cole and Wade Barrett are on commentary for this.

Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair vs Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab

CF is wearing gear with friendship bracelets on it and she's wearing pig tails.

RR and Fab start us off. RR forearms her then lariats her down. RR bangs Fab's head off the mat and AB flying headscissors Fab. AB hits shots on Mich then basement dropkicks her. AB throws her down backwards, double knee drops her and rolling sentons her for 2. AB is lifted into a dropkick on Mich.

Mich boots CF out of the corner. CF snapmares her and CF headscissor rolls her. CF forward handspring lariats Mich. Fab is flatlinered into the ropes. AB crossbodies Fab off the buckles. Jade superkicks AB.

Jade and CF stand off. Mich hits CF from behind then hits mounted shots on her. Jade running lariats CF. Mich gets a 2 count on CF. Fab boots CF in the corner. Jade does push-up's to taunt CF. Mich suplexes CF for 2. Mich guillotine chokes CF. CF boots Mich out of the corner. Mich hurricanrana's CF for 2. CF back body drops Mich then CF and Fab boot each other at the same time. RR comes in and running dropkicks Jade off the apron.

RR lariats Mich down twice. She kicks her in the gut and drops her face first on the mat. RR low dropkicks Mich. RR top rope dropkicks Mich for 2. RR headbutts Mich then Mich poisonrana's her. AB spinning ddt's Mich for 2.

Mich jawbreakers AB. Fab ddt's AB for 2. AB counters the heels and hits a double ddt. CF top rope crossbodies Fab and Mich. CF germans Mich. CF is almost pushed into RR. Mich catches CF with the styles clash for 2.

RR headbutts Fab. Jade superkicks RR. AB slaps Jade. CF facekicks Jade. AB and CF get hit from the heels. Jade and RR get in the ring together. They trade shots at the same time. RR headbutts her then hits riptide for 2.

Everyone starts getting a shot in. CF saves RR. CF and RR hit stereo fallaway slams. AB hugs both. Jade pushes RR into Cf. Jade pump kicks RR then hits a jade end on her for the win.

Thoughts:
The crowd really liked it. It was a long opener. They definitely tried to follow the format of a good match and it wasn't bad. I think you could have put anyone in this and get similar results. They ran with the story of Flair and Rhea not getting along all match long, then they lost when things were going well for them.

We see various wrestlers arrive. Cathy Kelly interviews Ethan Page. Page says it's not the biggest night of his career, it's the biggest night of Cathy's career as she gets to interview him before he wins the title. He says it's also the IC Title's biggest night as it gets the spotlight it deserves. Page says Penta's reason for being champ happens tonight as he gets to hand him the title.

Sol Ruca is interviewed after a Sol/Lynch highlight package. Cathy says some say Sol isn't ready for a match like this. Sol says the real question is if Becky is ready. She says she won't take the match lightly and says it only takes one sol snatcher to know the next gen is here.

Becky Lynch vs Sol Ruca

BL throws the title at her and pounds on her. Sol knocsk her down and he bell rings. Sol drops her chest first on the mat. Sol springboard twisting crossbodies her. Sol sweeps her and superkicks her. Sol springboard 450's into a lariat on BL.

Sol handstands on the apron then PK's her there. Sol 2nd rope moonsaults onto BL outside. Sol armdrags her. Sol hits forearms in the corner. BL facekicks her. Sol superkicks her in the gut. They botch a spot where Sol is supposed to do a move to the ref (BL is supposed to pull the ref into Sol). The ref then calls for the bell and DQ's Becky.

Thoughts: Wow, this sucked. Things were going well and they quickly went to a DQ. Do this stuff on Raw, not on a special show.

BL comes back in and hits Sol with her title from behind. She then uranage's her and pounds on her. BL hits 2 more uranage's.

Penta says Ethan Page keeps talking about his title but the talking stops tonight. He says he fights with fire and never backs down. He says Page is an arrogant clown. He says he will learn why Penta is zero miedo.

We get a video on the Intercontinental Title.

Becky Lynch talks to Nick Aldis in the back. Nick says him and Adam Pearce saw what happened. Nick says Becky will face Sol now at Clash in Italy in a title match. Becky complains of corruption.

Nia Jax and Lash Legend are interviewed. Nia says they will make sure they aren't former tag champs anymore. Lash says it's time to end the nostalgia tour. Nia says they are stronger, taller and better and will make history by making Paige/Brie history.

WWE Intercontinental Title - Penta (c) vs Ethan Page

Penta waistlocks Page. Page backrolls and is kicked. Page hits punches on Penta in the corner then stomps him. Penta flying headscissors him and tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him. Penta springboards and is dropkicked in mid-air. Page hits mounted punches.

Page is dropped face first on the buckles. Penta walks up the buckles, seated moonsaults and armdrags him. Penta superkicks him outside. Page superkicks him outside. Penta is then back body dropped onto the commentary table. Penta is sent into the post twice. Page elbow drops Penta for 2.

Page chinlocks him. Page basement dropkicks him for 2. Page chinlocks him again. Penta hits chops and Page forearms him. Penta superkicks him in the leg then facebusters him. Penta enzugiri's him in the corner then handstand dobule pendulum kicks him. Penta tope con hilos him outside.

Penta top rope crossbodies him. Page facekicks him. Penta reverse headscissors Page off then top then springboard ddt's him for 2. Page boots and kicks him out of the corner. Page powerslams him for 2. Page does an up and over backcracker for 2.

Penta and Page trade chops. They superkick and facekick each other down. Page flying single leg codebreakers him for 2. Penta hits a made in Japan for 2. Page flying knees him. They fight on the buckles. Page pulls on Penta's mask and 2nd rope powerslams him for 2.

Page pounds on him then takes off the top buckle. Penta misses a charge and goes into another exposed buckle for 2. Penta springboard canadian destroyers him and pins him.

Thoughts:
I liked the match. It got enough time, they didn't overdo it and they had me convinced Page had a shot of winning it. Page did a bit more flying than usual and heeled it some. This was one of Penta's better matches and I thought it was good.

Paige and Brie Bella are interviewed. Brie says she and Paige have each other's backs. She says she believes in them. Paige says this was never supposed to happen. Paige says they aren't supposed to win tonight but will.

The Street Profits do a promo. AD says they are going for the tag titles and are about to get that money. Ford says if he can trust him then tonight is that night.

WWE Women's Tag Titles - Paige and Brie Bella (c) vs Nia Jax and Lash Legend

Nia misses a charge and Lash takes a double dropkick. Nia takes a double bulldog and Paige running knees Nia for 2. Brie top rope double axe handles Nia. Nia catches her off the top and samoan drops her for 2. Brie double boots Lash out of the corner.

Paige comes in and Lash grabs both opponents by the throat. Lash takes a double codebreaker. Lash hits mounted shots on Paige for 2. Lash hits short arm shoulderblocks on her then splashes her for 2. Nia shakes her butt on Paige on the ropes. Nia chops her.

Nia cobra clutches Paige. Lash forearms Paige in the corner. Lash lariats her for 2. Paige hits shots on Lash then has her head banged on the mat. Lash chokes Paige on the ropes. Nia hits corner splashes on Paige.

Paige pulls Lash out. Nia goes shoulder first into the post when Paige moves. Brie top rope dropkicks Nia then hits chest kicks. Brie running knees her for 2. Nia pop-up headbutts Brie.

Nia samoan drops Brie. Lash 2nd rope splashes Brie. Brie is held in the air and Nia 2nd rope legdrops her for 2. Paige sunset flips Nia and pins her with Brie's help.

Thoughts: It wasn't that bad and could have been a bit cleaner at times. It was better than I expected though. I am curious as to what the plan is for Brie and Paige as I'm sure Paige will get pushed aside as soon as Nikki is healed. I don't know where Nia and Lash go now.

The Vision are interviewed. Logan says they are the greatest crossover stars in WWE history and are the greatest tag team champions in the history of the world. Logan says the tag titles are the smoke and if The Profits want the smoke, they will bring it to them. They say the smoke is for them and not The Profits.

World Tag Team Titles - The Vision (Logan Paul and Austin Theory) vs The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford)

Ford rolls up Austin to start when he's not looking. Austin shoulders Ford over. Ford side headlocks him and Austin side headlocks him back. Austin shoulders him over.

LP comes in. He boots Ford in the gut then shoulders him over. Ford goes up and over LP and then hits armdrags. Ford dropkicks him multiple times. LP is hit with a double flapjack then Austin is double flapjacked onto him. The heels go out and regroup. They tease leaving and The Profits attack them in the aisle.

Ford corkscrew splashes LP in the corner and spinning enzugiri's him for 2. Logan hits shots on the faces. LP hits mounted shots on AD. LP jumps off Austin's back into a splash on AD. Austin double underhook suplexes AD. Austin stomps AD. AD takes a double shoulderblock. LP chinlocks AD.

LP lariats AD. Austin hits shots on AD. Austin hits corner spears on AD and back elbows him. AD boots LP out of the corner. LP stops AD from making a tag. LP hits AD in the gut. AD neckbreakers Austin, which makes him ddt LP. Ford top rope diving elbows Austin. Ford lariats Austin.

Austin forearms Ford then rolls into his powerslam. Ford standing moonsaults him for 2. Austin spinning forearms Ford and LP buckshot lariats Ford. Ford rolls up Austin for 2. Austin is thrown into a german from Ford. Ford topes LP.

Austin takes an electric chair blockbuster for 2. FOrd enzugiri's LP and AD lariats LP over the top. Ford tope con hilos over the post onto the heels. Bron Breakker comes down, tries to spear Ford and is pounced by AD onto the commentary table. AD spinebusters Austin and Ford top rope splashes Austin for 2 when Heyman puts Austin's foot on the ropes.

Ford stares down Heyman. Ford follows him outside, jumps off the steps and LP hits him with brass knucks. AD tope con hilos LP. Austin pins Ford.

Thoughts: It was a nice main. We got some nice flying and The Vision surprisingly won this one. It could have been a little cleaner at times but it worked out just fine.

Bron Breakker runs in the ring after and spears AD and Ford. The heels then pose to close the show.

Overall thoughts: Starpower wise, this was one of the weakest special shows ever. There's no excuse or explanation for it. Even if you put wrestler names into a hat and picked names, you'd get better stars than what we got here. The opener wasn't bad. Lynch/Sol was a joke. I liked Penta/Page and the Women's Tag Titles match was acceptable. I liked the main. There's nothing you need to see here but the wrestlers did make the most of this situation. I'd give the show a low 6 out of 10 as most of the matches were okay, but they get a 0 out of 10 for effort here. The show was alright.

John Hawking vs Lightning

Joe Bravo vs Chicano

Mike Nice and Oscar Benarbe vs Los Informantes

Xavant vs El Diabolico

La Guerrera Amazona vs Stephany Amalbert

----

Abel Durant and Axel Cruz are our hosts.

We see our first clips from Furia Extrema last week. The video quality of the clips is absolutely awful. Markova won the WWC Women's Title and hit La Amazona Guerrera with it. Xavant won his natch. Tony Leyenda and The Colon's interfered in La Amenaza Bryan's match with Intelecto 5 Estrellas. Chicano saved Bryan form a larger beating. A masked man, who turned out be Lou Forza, interfered in the Paparazzi/Ray Gonzalez vs Colon's match.

Abel Durant and Axel Cruz welcome us to the show.  Axel says he loves Natalia Markova.

WWC Junior Heavyweight Title - "El Hostil" Jovan (c) vs El Informante

We join this in progress. Jovan goes for a tope and is hit. Info elbow drops him then chops him down. Info chops him in the corner. Info eye pokes him and lariats him. Info pushes Wendy the ref and Wendy pushes him back right in the head. Jovan 2nd rope twisting crossbodies him but Info gets his feet on the ropes. Info and Wendy shove each other. Wendy shoves him over and Jovan pins Info.

Thoughts: We didn't get to see much of this and it was full of shenanigans with the ref and Informante shoving each other.

Informante then gives Wendy an F rating on his clipboard.

Wilfredo Rivera does a promo. He says he will be part of the battle royal tomorrow. He says he has a mission and goals and won't allow anyone to delay his progress in the company.

Ray Gonzalez does a promo. He talks about the free show tomorrow. He invites everyone to come. He says he will do a meet and greet there. He then says his checkmate line.

We get an ad for the 5/30 Moca show. It has:

Chicano vs Intelecto Cinco Estrellas

Zcion RT1 vs Lightning

La Amenaza Bryan vs Tony Leyenda

John Hawking vs Amaddeo Sole

Wilfredo Rivera vs El Informante #1

Mike Nice vs Orly Jr. of Los Informantes

Oscar Benabe vs El Informante #2

La Guerrera Amazona vs Stephany Amalbert

El Payaso Makabro vs El Diabolico

Victor Jovica will have a contract signing between Intelecto Cinco Estrellas and Zcion RT1 for the 53rd Anniversary Show Main Event (This is almost assuredly going to have some kind of major stipulation or gimmick involved).

WWC Women's Title - Kamila (c) vs Natalia Markova

We join this in progress. Nat bangs Kam's head off the apron and mounts her for a pin attempt. Kam hits forearms and corner splashes her. Kam corner crossbodies her for 2. Nat goes outside and grabs the WWC Women's Title. She brings it in with her and holds it up. La Guerrera Amazona comes out and takes it from her.

Kam dropkicks Nat from behind and 619's her. Kam misses a top rope splash. Nat spinning heel kicks her in the corner and pins her with a double underhook ddt.

Thoughts
: We didn't get much of this and what we got didn't look that good with some weak shots. Markova winning probably should have been expected here as now she can lose it at the big 53rd Anniversary show. It also sets up an easy match with La Amazona Guerrera.

An Informante does a promo. He gives the ref's and Benabe/Nice an "F". He says the refs are slow and full of trickery and corruption. He says Pelayo Vasquez is responsible too and he'll be waiting for him.

Mike Nice and Oscar Benabe do a promo. Oscar says every time they fight Los Informantes, they try to trip them up but they have one foot ahead. Mike says they fight tomorrow and says they will have an afternoon of entertainment tomorrow.

Eddie Colon talks to the sound guy in the back. He says to turn off the mic if Chicano tries to talk on it tonight.

WWC Tag Titles (Vacant) - Special Ref: Orlando Toledo - Los Matadores Celestiales (Mike Nice and Oscar Benabe) vs Orly Jr. & Lou Forza

We join this in progress. Lou Forza is replacing Tapia here. OB misses a corner charge and 2nd rope dropkicks Lou. The faces hit double sunset flips but Toledo slow counts. Orly neckbreakers Nice and Toledo fast counts.

Lou tells Orly to go up top. Benabe tries to jump off of Lou's back but slips when he's supposed to cutter Orly in mid-air. Benabe has the pin and Toledo just stops counting. Nice and Benabe get upset at Toledo.

Lou codebreakers Nice from the side. Orly superkicks Toledo on accident. Orly takes a suplex + sitout powerbomb combo. Another ref comes out while Toledo is down and counts the pin for the faces.

Thoughts
: We only saw a little of it and what we saw didn't look that great as Benabe messed up his big spot here. It's a shame Tapia didn't make this match as him and Orly have been feuding with Nice/Benabe for months and it would have been nice to see a decisive battle. I guess that leaves room for yet another rematch, but that match has been done to death.

John Hawking says he has two important matches tomorrow in the battle royal and vs Lightning. He says he respects the living legend Lightning. He says he beat him before and says Lightning knows what he's made of. He says he's better prepared this time.

Joe Bravo does  promo. He says he knows Chicano will come back with desire and eagerness to return to the ring. He says he ants Chicano to look him in the eyes and see his patience and calmness. He says he imagines Chicano was preparing hard and hitting the gym hard on his break from WWC. Joe says he's always prepared for anyone but despite his calmness, there's a beast inside who is always ready.

Chicano does a promo. Chicano says Joe Bravo did not take his place as Eddie Colon planned. He says Colon made a mistake putting him in a position where he faces someone he beat before. He says he will run over Bravo and come straight for Eddie Colon.

The refs talk in the back. Toledo asks why Wendy is calling Pelayo Vasquez. Toledo asked why the other ref got involved in his match. The ref says that's his job. Toledo says he will give him a summary of his job and kicks the other refs out. He says the ref has been here a long time and says he's a Pelayo suck up. Informante comes up to him and shoves dog food in his face. They then put the ref on the ground and rub his face into it. Toledo says this is so he learns respect. Toledo says he's the head of the ref's and says that ref needs to learn that.

El Cafe del Millenio

Ray and Paparazzi bring out La Amazona Guerrera. Natalia Markova just stomped  on her before this. She says she has a lot to say about what Eddie Colon did to her and her colleagues. She says what matters to her is that she wants to challenge Natalia Markova for the Women's World Title. Natalia Markova comes out and poses with the title. We cut ahead and Amazona is gone. They bring out Chicano and leave the ring so he can speak by himself.

The sound guy says he has instructions from Eddie Colon to not let him speak and to turn his mic off. Eddie Colon comes out. Eddie says he doesn't want Chicano in the company and he's voted out. Eddie says he's the boss. Eddie calls Chicano a disgrace. Carlito Colon then backcrackers Chicano from behind. Eddie says that's the consequences of not following instructions. Eddie and Carlito stomp Chicano. Eddie says this is what he deserves. He says he will curse his mother.

Lightning comes out. Carlito hits Chicano in the head with a chair. Lightning goes to the back without doing anything. Chicano is busted open. Eddie says this is what Chicano deserves. He says Chicano is going to the trash heap.

Abel talks about La Tigressa, whom the 53rd Anniversary show is dedicated to.

We then hear from La Tigressa. She thanks everyone for celebrating this with her. She says the show is dedicated to her. She says WWC is the #1 company in PR and says she learned here and faced great wrestlers here. She says she is invited us to join her on 6/27.

El Diabolico says the show tomorrow will be in his home town and he will face Xavant. He says Xavant is still the lost soul running around. Hr says he is a tremendous fighter but says he will show him where boys and men are seperated. He says he will show what the devil is capable of. He says may God have mercy on his sould.

Xavant does a promo. He says the champ has arrived and he wants to greet everyone. He says we are stopping in Aguadilla before the 53rd Anniversary show. He says he's facing one of the most deceitful heels. He says the champ has arrive and is in national hero mode. He says he's ready for the competition. He says he will pay the ultimate consequences and says he will persevere until he triumphs as that is what champions do.

The mayor of Aguadilla talks about WWC returning.

Abel and Axel then close the show. They talk about Alberto el Patron showing up on social media. It seems like he'll be a lock for the 53rd Anniversary Show as well.

Overall thoughts: We had a lot going on here with recaps from Furia Extrema, hype for the 53rd Anniversary Show, lots of shilling for tomorrow's show, some clips of matches and clips from El Cafe del Mileno. It wasn't great but they had a lot to cover here and did a decent job doing it. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 overall and would say it was average, but the TV has been so weak lately that this was above average.

NWA Powerrr 5/23/2026

NWA Powerrr 5/23/2026

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/05/nwa-powerrr-5162026.html

Joe Galli, Tim Storm and The Pope are on commentary.

We get a video on Idol/Silas to start.

Kyle Davis talks to Daisy Kill in the ring. DK says his name and says he has been unsuccessful vs Eric Smalls multiple times. DK says Eric got lucky and is a little freak of a person. He says he'll kiss his boot if he loses as he's so confident he can beat him.

Kiss My Boot Match - Daisy Kill vs Eric Smalls

DK facekicks him down and bangs his head off the mat. DK hits mounted corner punches. Eric lifts him in the electric chair and drops him backwards. Eric then does the worm with a headspin and legdrops him. DK electric chairs him and Eric bulldogs him off of it for the win.

Thoughts: I didn't like this at all. DK went down quick, clean and easy and I don't know why.

Eric waits for his boot to be kissed and DK punches him right in the crotch.

The Cazana's do a promo. Joe says they are going to Disney World after they win The Crockett Cup.  Joe says they will knock the ToC down in size and says they always do it by the book.

The Good Brothers do a promo. Doc says The Cazana's beat them clean. the Slimeballz come in and says they did a good job trying. The offer advice as they are the US champs. Sage says the fluked and says Joe Cazana is dumb. Sage says better luck next time and come to them when you need them. Karl says he doesn't like them and Doc says they smell weird.

NWA World Title - No Limits Match - Silas Mason (c) vs Bryan Idol

They hockey fight to start. Idol lariats him over the top rope. Idol top rope plancha's him outside. We go to break.

Kenzie Paige says Kylie Paige cost her The Burke Gauntlet and says she turned on her. Kylie says if she can't get the title, she wants another Paige to win it.

David Crockett talks about his best friends in wrestling like Jerry Brisco. He says they were crazy. He says Roddy Piper was great. He says Ric Flair offered to start the company over with him when it closed. He says he and Ric celebrate his birthday and the plane crash.

We return from break. Silas bangs Idol's head off a table. Silas then bangs Idol's head off the side of the table. Silas is pushed into the post. They fight in the aisle and Silas is sent into the wall. Idol double underhook suplexes him on the floor for 2. Silas slams Idol on the floor.

Silas hits Idol in the gut with a chair. Silas puts a chair between the bottom rope and the mat. Idol sends Silas face first into it. Idol goes for a dive and Silas hits him with a chair.

We go to break. The Titans of Calamity do a promo. Talos says he's been waiting to get his hands on Joe Cazana for a long time. Tal says he's going to get his hands on the trophy and a bowl of KFC. Ren makes a Colonel Sanders remark.

We return from break. They are still fighting outside. Idol's head is banged off the apron. Silas bangs Idol's head off a rail then hits mounted punches. They fight in the bleachers. Idol flying knees him and Silas falls down the steps.

Silas hits him with a chair. Idol suplexes Silas on chairs. Idol slingblades him in the ring. Idol superkicks him. Idol hits a double jump moonsault. Silas gutwrench powerbombs him.

Silas sets up a table in the ring. Silas' legs are bleeding. They fight on the buckles. Alex Taylor joins them and Idol pushes Alex through the table. Idol bringing butters Silas. Kerry Morton flying pumping knees Idol. Kerry goes to pull Silas onto Idol. Ricky Morton tells Kerry to do something and Kerry puts Idol on top of Silas for 2.

Silas stares down Kerry and Kerry is scared. The crowd chants "you messed up" at Kerry. Silas chases Kerry out. Idol and Silas hockey fight. Idol takes a thrill ride and Silas pins him.

Thoughts: The big news coming out of this was Kerry trying to cost Silas the match. They've been having some issues and this solidifies that split. I like The Southern Six, so I don't like to see them break up. I was surprised Idol didn't win here and I'm not sure if he will ever win the title since he couldn't here. The match was acceptable but not much more. The outside brawling didn't do that much for me and the in-ring parts weren't that great.

Natalia Markova does a promo. She says Tiffany Nieves caught her off guard and congratulates her. She says she's on top of the world now but both of them know it won't last. Nat says she doesn't need shortcuts and takes pride in everything she does. She says she can enjoy the title for now, but don't get too comfortable.

2026 Crockett Cup Finals - The Titans of Calamity (Talos and Ren Ayabe) vs The Country Gentlemen (AJ and KC Cazana)

Tal offers a test of strength but KC can't reach. KC slaps him. KC flying shoulders him and gets nowhere. Tal back body drops him. Tal backs up AJ in the corner. AJ side headlocks Ren. Ren shoulders him over. Ren slams AJ. Ren back body drops AJ and barely gets him over. Tal stomps and foot chokes AJ in the corner.

Tal hits corner spears on AJ. Ren foot chokes AJ then hits forearms. Tal pulls AJ's throat down over the 2nd rope. AJ hits spears and punches to Ren's back. AJ chokes Ren and tags out. KC stomps Ren. We go to break.

It's Me...Carson Drake

Drake says Silas' NWA Title reign is on a timer. He says he has had everything he wanted his entire life but can't get his hands on the NWA Title. He says he will fight him like a man who has nothing to lose. He says he will win the NWA Title and leave him the same man he was before. He says Silas can't beat him.

We return to the match. KC stomps Ren. AJ foot chokes Ren. AJ camel clutches Ren. KC knocks Talos off the apron. AJ flapjacks KC onto Ren. KC does his strut and misses the legdrop. Ren misses a big boot by KC sells it anyway. Tal comes in and rams AJ into KC then slams AJ onto KC. Joe Cazana comes in to hit Tal with a book and Tal head chops Joe.

Tal hits a facekick on KC. AJ takes a double boot out. KC takes a double chokeslam and is pinned.

Thoughts
: I was surprised to see the ToC win. They probably aren't going to be around a ton due to Ren living in Japan and wrestling for AJPW. The match wasn't that good and the various breaks really took away from it. We also didn't have clear faces in this one.

Overall thoughts: We had 3 matches. Daisy/Smalls was short and dumb. The NWA Title match was acceptable but nothing too great. That was mostly notable for Kerry turning on Silas too. The main wasn't anything too special and didn't have clear faces in it. I'd give it a 4 out of 10 as the wrestling was cut up by breaks which hurt it and the matches weren't anything special. I thought it was below average.

CMLL 5/22/2026 Viernes Espectacular

Thoughts:
This went well. Tornado did some nice flying with extra twists on it and EJ kept powerbombing him down. The powerbomb on the floor really should have ended things though.

Dark rolls up Rosa for 2. They trade shots in the ring and Rosa rolls her into a double stomp and pins her.

Thoughts: They hit most of their spots but there was a lot of waiting at times for that next spot to hit and there were a lot of people coming in and out at their leisure. I'm not sure that Rosa needed to get the pin here but I guess it doesn't matter all that much. It went better than the usual women's match but some of the waiting around hurt this.

They run an ad for the Pittsburgh Steelers then have Neon, the Steelers mascot and others wear Steelers colors out.

Barbaro Cavernario & El Sky Team (Mascara Dorada & Neon) vs. Don Callis Family (El Clon, Hechicero & Rocky Romero)

Hech takes down Barb. Barb trips him and they trade chops. Barb is triple teamed. Hech then takes a superkick and an MD armdrag. Neon codebreakers Hech and Barb flying headscissors Hech. MD hits a springboard double crossbody. Neon springboard diving headscissors Clon then MD top rope diving headscissors RR. Neon is caught on a tope and put into the rails. MD is then caught on a tope and powerbombed onto the rails. Barb walks up the ropes, springboards and plancha's his partners when his opponents move.

Barb is then double and triple teamed in the ring. Barb makes a comeback and hits a dropkick. MD is popped up from the ramp and he flying headscissors Hech. Neon springboard diving armdrags Clon.

Clon takes corner attacks and Barb giant swings him. The faces then dropkick Clon as he swings. Neon is spinebustered then chopped by Hech. The faces get some offense in and get 2 counts. Neon is sent into the buckles. Clon superkicks MD then overhead kick him.

Barb hammerlock suplexes Clon. RR boots Barb out of the corner. Neon dropkicks RR out of the ring. Neon's springboard is blocked by Hech. Hech is knocked off the apron. MD moonaults off the post while Neon does his blind step up moonsault while Barb topes outside between the ropes.

All 3 heels are down in the ring. 2 of the faces miss dives and Barb hits a vader bomb. Neon and MD's arms are tied together and the heels go for pins on them. RR hits corner lariats on Barb. Clon plants off the top into a moonsault outside onto Neon and MD. Hech step up knees Barb then RR running shiranui's Barb. RR topes MD. Hech flips Barb into a pin and pins him.

Thoughts
: We only had one fall here so it was a longer one fall match. It was mostly a tornado tag here with people doing whatever they pleased. The faces triple dive spot was cool and Clon's plant moonsault to the outside as nice as well. I'm not a huge fan of these free for all matches as they lose their structure and it's just people doing whatever until the finish happens. I didn't like this that much but they did try.

The final two are Atlantis Jr. and Villano III Jr. They will move onto a match at another show. Atlantis dropkicks him out then topes him into the rails. V3 takes down Atlantis. They grab each other on the mat and the ref lays on them to break it up.

Thoughts: I always hate these finishes where they end a cibernetico with 2 people left. It's not exciting and it just doesn't make a lot of sense. These two wanted to fight and they were ready, so just let them fight. It was the usual cibernetico with fast paced action and everyone taking turns for their segment. That torture rack piledriver Cobarde took looked like a bad idea before it happened and hopefully Cobarde is okay. I thought Villano III Jr was one of the better wrestlers in this match. Oro really didn't stick out much and Espanto failed to impress as always. This one felt a bit heavy on the heels as there were only 3 faces in this. It was alright but not great.

We get another NFL ad.

Vol canadian destroyers Band for 2. Band top rope moonsault reverse slams him. Band then hits another 21plex and wins.

Thoughts
: I didn't like it. It started off today but they did more and more and sold less and less as it went on. It was just an indy style match and not my type of thing.

Band raises Vol's hand after. Vol puts Band on his shoulders.

The announcer then closes the show.

Overall thoughts: This was a "more is more" type of card. The opener went well. The women's match had a lot of set up times between various spots and brought it down, though it did go better than the usual women's match. The Sky Team trios match was a free for all and not my thing. The cibernetico was fine but nothing too memorable. It also had a dumb ending where the final two didn't wrestle but move onto another match at another time. The main was an indy style match with them not selling a lot and doing big moves. I didn't really like this show that much but would give it a 5 out of 10 and an average rating as there were limited matches here.
