Shawn Michaels comes in and tells us our guest will be defending the title at Mania in 2 weeks. It's Gunther.

Taker says Gunther is his guy and says he loves this business. Gunther walks in. He says he heard the trainees come from athletic backgrounds. He says they are here as their real passions didn't work out. He says they are just pretending to like it and says you have to do it because you love to do it. Gunther asks Tyra about her gold medal and she says she's not intimidated by him. Gunther says it doesn't pay the bills and says to focus on her skill.

Tatyanna says her heart beats out of her chest to her. Gunther asks Zena. She talks about trying to be the best she can be and entertaining. Gunther says nobody cares or wants to see Barbie. Gunther asks if Jasper is the guy who spoke up to CM Punk. Gunther tells Jasper to show him the passion and show him that he's ready to grind and get to the level where he can shut up Punk or Gunther. Gunther tells him to shut up and work hard. He says he has seen many guys like him before and says there's the door if he wants. Jasper says he's not a quitter.

Chris Island laughs and says it's a love/hate relationship with Jasper. He says Jasper likes to act big and bad but stopped with Gunther. 

Thoughts: Gunther's stuff was clearly all a work here.

Bubba complains about having 0 points and says he hopes things will change today. He says his team is screwed. Gunther says he wants to see the sweat flying and people struggling today. Gunther and the coaches talk. Gunther asks Taker why Tyra doesn't know she's a killer yet. Taker says he wanted to correct him but says she's right. Taker says he wants to let Tyra loose. Bubba says there's a serious side to Zena he wants to see. Mickie says Troy can be a bad@ss. Booker says Leigh will be a breakout star. Bubba says he sees Gunther in Cutler. They set up the matches for tonight.

Dani Sekelsky is working with the trainer on her back. Her back is hurting after wrestler Penina and Bailey. She says she's not 100% but it doesn't mean she doesn't want to get in the ring.

Bubba talks to his team. He says he wants a heel, serious side of Zena. Zena says Tyra's her opponent and she feels pressure to face her. She said she was told not to be comedic tonight. Bubba doesn't think it'll be hard.

Shiloh talks to Gunther about his missing tooth. Mickie says Troy is so gifted and he needs to understand pain so people can feel the pain. Leigh says they need to get to the foundation of wrestling and she needs to wrestle without thinking of the plan. Gunther tells Tyra to be a killer and force Zena to show grit. Gunther tells her to make it uncomfortable for her and tells her not to laugh anymore. Bubba says Tyra laughs and smiles too much. He says there's a lot of work to be done.

Gunther talks to Bayley and Leigh. Gunther tells Bayley to make her work. Gunther says he wants grit.

Gunther tells Jasper not to be ballsy tonight. Gunther says he expects a physical match between Cutler and Jasper. Jasper says he always felt like he had something to prove and says toughness in the ring is his identity. Gunther finds Troy reading "The Blessings". Gunther tells him to focus on the match to get his blessings.

Troy says you need to be aggressive but keep your partner safe and he finds it hard. 

Troy Yearwood vs Shiloh Hill

This is not in front of a crowd. Hill slaps Troy's back then shoulders him over. Troy does a high leapfrog, trips him and slaps his back. Troy side headlock takeovers him. Troy shoulders him over then hits a high dropkick. Troy chinlocks him and we go to break.

We return and Troy gets backdropped. Hill lariats him then hits a corner spear. Hill bulldogs him. Gill front facelocks him and Gun doesn't like it. Hill twisting neckbreakers him for 2. Hill spears the middle buckle when Troy moves. Troy hits forearms then flying back elbows him.

Troy hits a corner splash then misses one. Hill hits a twisting double underhook ddt and wins.

Thoughts: What we got wasn't bad. Troy is really in great shape and has super agility. I would agree that they didn't show much hate or aggression here. This was short.

Mickie is asked if we got bad@ss Troy. She says she didn't. Mickie said he did good athletically but it lacked the emotion. Troy said that hurt but he needs to hear it to get better. Taker asks to see Hill's back and it's all red. Booker says he's not sold on Troy and says he needs to put in a lot of work. Bubba says he didn't see urgency or passion out of either of them. He says to find what p!ssed you off and bring it to the ring. Gunther says Troy didn't see mad that he got slapped in the back. He says they had good physicality and effort.

Zena Sterling vs Tyra Mae Steel

Tyra throws her down then leg trips her. Zena pushes her off the break then trips her. Zena side headlocks her and takes her over from there. Zena hits a big slam for 2. Tyra backdrops her then knee drops her back. Tyra chinlocks her.

Tyra bangs Zena's face off the mat. Tyra stomps her then does a big slam for 2. Tyra does a mean looking STF variation. Zena jawbreakers her. Zena running lariats her. Zena lariats her then back elbows her. Zena backbreakers her for 2. Tyra pins her with a german.

Thoughts: Tyra was more heelish here and looked good doing it. Zena's selling was decent and she was a little more stiff than usual. What we got was alright. This was short.

Bubba says he's proud of Zena and said we saw a different side of her. Booker says Zena showed more than when she started. He says she did a hell of a job. Mickie says she likes Zena's new gear but says she's wrestling in lingerie and needs to stop. Taker says Tyra didn't answer the call.  He says it wasn't her best performance. He says she has an arsenal of moves in her but just does the basics. Taker says she has to use her amateur wrestling as it will set her apart from the rest. 

Tyra says she was disappointed. Gunther says Tyra didn't show that she's a killer in her match. He says he wouldn't know she's an amateur wrestler if she didn't show her medal. Tyra said she didn't have her contacts on and didn't want to hurt Zena. Booker says Tyra knows all kinds of moves and needs to know how to use them. Tyra says she wants to cry.

Tyra talks to us fans in the camera. She asks who Bubba thinks he is saying she's too happy. She says she's happy as she appreciates where she is. She talks about people in her life dying. She says she's proud to be alive and be in America and the WWE. She says telling her to be more serious is like telling her to kill herself.

Jasper says he wants to show Gunther who he is.

Jasper Troy vs Cutler James

They lock up. Troy clubs him and headlocks him. CJ waistlock takedows him then punches him in the nose. CJ side headlock takeovers him. Troy rams him into the corner. Troy is thrown out. Troy's head is banged off the apron.

Troy goes in and comes out. CJ chops him and is rammed into the steps. We go to break and return. Troy hits a splash in the ring for 2. Troy stomps on CJ then hits a powerslam. Troy butt drops CJ's back and rakes his face.

CJ hits a backdrop and Troy back elbows him. Troy backbreakers him. Troy sleepers him. CJ makes his comeback and they double clothesline each other down. They trade and Troy misses a shot. Troy misses a corner charge.

CJ hits lariats and does like an olympic slam to win.

Thoughts: It went long. Jasper had a bad missed punch. The match wasn't anything too special and CJ continues to be generic. I think Troy does the right stuff though.

Booker says it was a hard hitting match and says good job. Booker says he would give it a "B". Mickie said they worked hard and it looked like a fight. Gunther says Jasper needs to get rid of the vest and tells Jasper to cut out his emotion. Bubba says CJ needs to be more like Gunther and didn't see enough of the bad@ss he wanted to see. Taker says they understood the assignment. He says Jasper was a monster.

Cuter has chop marks on his chest in the back. Jasper says he's emotional and always hot headed. He says he lets it all out in the ring.

Bayley says she wants to show her darkness and toughness theme.

Bayley Humphrey vs Leigh Laurel

I think LL has new red gear on. Bay throws her down off the lock up and hits corner spears. Bay rolls her across the ring then clubs her. Bay slams her. Bay tries to cho pher against the post but hits the post.

Bay stomps her and chinlocks her. Bay clubs LL. LL hits high front kicks. LL pump kicks her then is knee'd in the gut. Bay has her on her shoulders but is armdragged. LL hits a fliyng kick.

LL hits mounted shots. LL does like a pump superkick. LL misses a top rope crossbody and goes down hard. Bay does the head squeeze and LL taps out.

Thoughts: Bay got her mouth busted open here. The idea wasn't bad at all and they did alright for their experience level. LL did a bunch of kicks that I didn't expect and Bay was the monster heel was expected.

Taker says he's happy with what Bay did. Bay isn't bothered by her cut lip. Gunther says LL was too hesitant. Bubba says Bay doesn't have a command of her own athletic ability. She is asked if she was a base in tumbling and she says she was. Mickie says she thinks that holds her back. Mickie tells her she won't hurt 'em and if she does, it's wrestling.

The judges then award points. He gives Zena a point. He says he won't give Jasper one as it gets to him. Gunther gives Shiloh a point. Hill says he thinks Gunther gave it to him to make a statement and he doesn't know if he earned it. Booker says it's BS and says Jasper deserved and earned a point.

Bubba talks to Zena backstage. He says you have to earn the handshake and says Zena earned the handshake. Mickie says her team needs to take it more seriously and says it's game time. Booker says he's always been the underdog and is willing to get down and dirty. Taker says he's p!ssed. Taker says that was not Shiloh's best effort. He says Jasper has a great future ahead of him but he can't be boo-boo facing when things go wrong.

Jasper says Gunther's thing was about respect. Gunther comes in. Jsper thinks Gunther tried to put him in his place. Gunther says nothing personal and it's all business.

Booker goes up to Jasper outside. He says they got f*cked out of the point. Booker tells him he can't let his emotions get in the way. He says he will be a big star and says he needs to step on toes and keep walking. Booker says it's no game and is real and his career. 

Overall thoughts: It's a hard one to judge. All the Gunther stuff and stuff with the judges is obviously worked. The matches aren't true matches as they aren't in front of real crowds and there's edits so we don't truly see everything. With that being said, I still like eps like these more than the original eps as they are more wrestling focused. I wouldn't really recommend this one though and am still waiting until we get more live, traditional matches.
