AEW Dynamite 3/26/2025

We are in St. Paul, MN.

They have some Minecraft theming for this due to the movie coming out.

Kenny Omega vs Blake Christian

Blake gets out of a wristlock and does a chinlock. Blake hadscissors him and is headscissored. KO shoulders him over, Blake kips up and piefaces him. KO hits chops on Blake then backdrops him. Blake hits forearms and KO fires back. Blake dropkicks him.

Blake eye rakes KO then spears him on the apron. Blake does a corkscrew tope on him. Blake handsprings into a knee from KO. KO then nails Lee Johnson on the apron. KO hits a dragon suplex then hits another. KO does a version of oblivion on him. KO pumping knees him then hits an OWA and wins.

Thoughts: It was thankfully a shorter match with KO winning and not some attempt at an epic. It was still super random though and completely out of nowhere. I don't even know when the last time Blake made Dynamite was, if ever.

Kenny says he doesn't get to wrestle every single week the way he wants to. He says he's facing Ricochet and Mike Bailey at the PPV. Mike comes out. Mike says Kenny is an inspiration to him and respects him. He says he admires him as a wrestler, person and champ. He says he won't hold anything back and says he won't hesitate to kick his head clean off.

Ricochet then interrupts from outside near a pool somewhere. The audio is terrible. He says his wedding is today. He says he will show everyone on 4/6 why he's out of this world. He says he will leave with the girl and the gold.

Kenny says the PPV won't be about making friends as he has a cat and doesn't need anymore. He says Mike and Ric are stepping stones to his legacy. He then says he has to go.

Thoughts: This was bad as expected. Mike looked 10 years old here and came across like such a nerd.

The Learning Tree do a promo in a parking garage. Jericho says Gravity's mask was taken from them. He says i's time for al the masks to be removed and time to address some ugly truths. Jericho says Bill and Bryan Keith haven't used the wisdom given to them. Jericho says he's sick of asking them to prove their worth. He says they need to go prove themselves if they are worthy and says he's asking for the last time.

Jericho says he wants Bandido's mask now as he knows Bandido wants the ROH Title. He challenges him to a Title vs Mask match at the PPV.

MJF comes out with a mic. He takes shots at the crowd and calls out MVP. MJF says MVP is a legend and asks if he has a new cane as it's nice. He says he doesn't do friends and neither does MVP. MJF says he'd like to be in the business of hurting people.

Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin come out. Bobby asks MJF for the card. Bobby looks at MVP and Shelton. He then rips the card up. Bobby holds his fist up at him. MVP says we're cool. MJF then leaves.

Bryan Keith and Big Bill come out. Bryan says they aren't out here to join them, they have will real business to attend to. MVP tells Bill to put his b!tch on a leash and we can talk. Bill says he sees them with the titles but doesn't see a challenger. MVP says he doesn't see a challenger either and calls them b!tches. Bill then calls them b!tches back.

Bill says he was a tag champ and never got pinned for the titles. Bill says he wants his rematch and says they will take those titles. MVP laughs then tells them to win a match to get a rematch.

Thoughts: I didn't like this segment. I don't think it was planned out as MVP pretty much destroyed Bill and Bryan on the mic here and made them look dumb.

Renee interviews Toni Storm, Thunder Rosa and Luther. Renee says they haven't teamed up in 3 years. Toni says nothing has changed and Rosa says everything has changed. Rosa says she wants the title, what she never lost. Toni says Bayne and Ford are about to get double teamed like they never dreamed. Toni wants to name their team "Thunder T!ts".

Kyle Fletcher vs Brody King

Kyle hits boots and stomps in the corner. Kyle poses then is chopped. BK hits forearms in the corner and foot chokes Kyle. BK slams and sentons him. BK hits chops and Kyle leg lariats him. Kyle stomps on him. BK lariats him over the top.

We go to PiP break and return. Kyle hits knees to the head. Kyle forearms him then BK sidewalk slams him. BK hits lariats and chops. BK back body drops him. BK then topes him outside. BK chops him outside and is pushed into the rail and post.

Kyle PK's him from the apron and topes him into the rails with BK's head hitting off the LED board on the rails. Kyle hits a nice top rope elbow drop.

BK overhead suplexes him into the buckles. Kyle superkicks him on the apron then death valley drivers him on the apron. We go to PiP break and return. BK lariats him. Kyle superkicks him in the back of the leg and back of the head. Kyle tombstones him for 2. BK flips him with a lariat. BK corner lariats him.

Mark Davis comes out and pulls Kyle out of the way of BK's cannonball. Kyle twisting brainbusters him on the top buckle and wins.

Thoughts: I wasn't a fan of this one. The first half was mostly all strikes which weren't super exciting. They didn't sell much either as expected while doing lots of big moves.

Mark and Kyle beat up Brody after. Powerhouse Hobbs then comes out through the crowd. Hobbs hits shots on both then Brody lariats Kyle over the top and goes with him.

We go to break and Von Wagner is one of the security guards. They can't restore order. Mark and Hobbs beat up security and the match starts.

Powerhouse Hobbs vs Mark Davis

They lariat battle and trade suplexes. Hobbs hits forearms then body blocks him. Mark hits forearms and running forearms him in the corner. Hobbs back body drops him. Mark back elbows him then Hobbs powerslams him.

Hobbs hits corner lariats then takes him down. Mark enzugiri's him then Hobbs hits a spinebuster. Hobbs then wins.

Thoughts: It wasn't pretty with Hobbs having trouble throwing Mark but I liked what we got. Oddly it wasn't very long. I liked see Von Wagner and would love to see him get a shot with AEW.

Lexy interviews Nick Wayne, Mother Wayne and Kip Sabian. She wants to know what's going on. Nick says things are starting to make sense of why Christian did what he did at the PPV. He says what happened last week is what happens when you properly execute a plan.

Renee interviews Adam Page. Swerve Strickland comes in. He says he heard Page say he wants to get involved in his title match and Swerve threatens him. Prince Nana then breaks it up.

Tony Schiavone does a sitdown interview with Cope and FTR. Cope says he came back to help FTR after The Death Riders attacked them and he didn't mean to take them away from tag team wrestling. Dax says they took their eyes off the prize and Cash says they all let their emotions get the better of them. Cash says he wants them all to be on the same page. Dax says it's time they all focus on separate goals. Cash says Rated FTR has life left and he wants to go after the trios titles. Cope challenges The Death Riders for the trios titles at the next PPV. Cope then says "Rated FTR, Out".

Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana come out. Swerve says he's here to call Mox out. Mox comes out and they go face to face. Swerve says he's been letting things like this go on for too long. He asks what happened to Mox. He says Mox used to be revered. He says Mox hides behind The Death Riders including Shafir. He says Mox hides the title in his briefcase as he can't look at it anymore. They stare dwn and Claudio shows up behind Nana. Swerve notices.

Mox asks who and what is Swerve. He says he knows what Swerve could be. He says he had high hopes for him but has been disappointed. He says he will let Swerve be all he can be but says Swerve has to ask himself how far he is willing to go. He says Swerve isn't who he thinks he is and hasn't suffered enough.

He says guys like Swerve give him hope for the future. He says he won't give it to him. He asks how far he's willing to go and says he will go the whole way right now. Shafir comes out with a crowbar and Willow follows her with a lead pipe.

Swerve says Mox finally found someone smarter than him. Swerve says he is unscripted violence. He says Mox has been in Texas death matches and he has won them. He says he is the most dangerous man in AEW. He says he will take the title back and lead the Dynsasty area while Mox can play himself on TV. The Death Riders then back off.

Shafir then attacks Willow. Willow fights back. Nana, Mox and CC try to break it up.

Samoa Joe and Hook talk in the back. They find Max Caster talking to Top Flight and AR Fox and get behind him. Joe then chokes out Max. They then greet Top Flight and AR.

Renee interviews Jay White. Jay says he's entering himself in the Owen Hart Cup Tournament. He says he lost and got injured last year but will win this year. He says so be it if Page or Ospreay end up against him. He offers to challenge anyone who thinks they are more deserving of the spot in the Owen Hart Cup Tournament on Collision.

Top Flight (Dante and Darius Martin) vs Alex Findley and Devo Knight

Darius takes down Alex then side headlocks him. Big Bill and Bryan Keith are watching in the back. Alex is suplexed then takes a slingshot swanton on Ale. Devo takes like a lariat + sto combo.

Dante flips over Devo. Darius and Devo botch an atomic drop spot. Darius enzugiri's Devo then flatliners him off the bottom rope for 2. Dante springboard crossbodies Alex. Darius double boots Devo then Devo takes a dropkick into a german. Devo takes a samoan drop then a top rope frogsplash from Dante. Dante picks up the pin.

Thoughts: It was a quick squash for Top Flight. They had a couple of sloppy moments here and I was kind of surprised to see them get a squash win on this show out of nowhere.

Mark Briscoe vs Konosuke Takeshita

Mark side headlocks KT. KT shoulders him over. Mark uppercuts him. Mark flips out of a back body drop then back pele kicks him. KT boots him out of the corner. Mark hits a finlay roll. KT superplexes him for 2.

They each hit corner forearms. Mark lariats him over the top. KT facekicks him. KT ddt's him on the apron. We go to PiP break and return. Mark bites him on the buckles then top rope dropkicks him.

Mark flying forearms him. Mark hits palm strikes and chops in the corner. Mark dropkicks him through the ropes. Mark cannonballs him off the apron. Mark then tope con hilos him through the ropes. Mark walks the rail and elbow drops KT on the floor.

Mark misses a top rope elbow drop then takes a release german. Mark running lariats him for 2. They trade forearms and Mark exploders him. KT exploders him then Mark exploders him back. KT pumping knees him then Mark hits a jay driller for 2. KT spinning forearms him then hits a raging fire to win.

Thoughts: They started no selling towards the end of this which I didn't like and I thought it went a bit long despite the winner being obvious here. I liked it at first but less as it went on.

The Death Riders minus Mox and Shafir do a promo. Yuta says Cope tried to take him his family. Pac says he doesn't like Rated FTR's cockiness. Pac says they don't get challenged, they challenge Rated FTR.

Lexy interviews The Hurt business. Bobby says MVP told them to take a vacation and then they saw him hugging MJF. MVP says the earned a vacation but they have been talking about adding a 4th member and he made a move. Shelton says MJF has a rep and Bobby says MJF is not to be trusted. MVP says MJF has some reprehensible qualities and that's what he likes. MVP says he respects them if they don't want him in and says let's focus on the Big Bill situation. Shelton says, "let's hurt people".

Toni Storm and Thunder Rosa vs Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford

Rosa smacks her chest and chants "Thunder T!ts". Rosa chops her. Meg misses a corner charge. Meg slams her. Ford and Toni get in. Ford shoulders Toni over. Ford armdrags her then Toni hits a german. Ford takes a backbreaker + legdrop combo. Rosa jumps off Toni's back into a dropkick on Ford. Rosa back elbows Ford.

We go to PiP break and return. Meg flying lariats Rosa. Ford hits a handspring back elbow on Rosa. Rosa and Ford double clothesline each other. Toni jawbreakers and headbutts Meg. She then lariats her over the top.

Toni tornado ddt's Meg on the floor. Rosa hits kicks on Ford and death valley drivers her. Meg forearms Rosa then hits an F-5. Toni corner hip attacks Meg. Meg hits an F-5 on Toni and pins her.

Thoughts: I'm not sure why this was the main other than to throw a bone to the girls. It was a bit rushed but it did have a lot of action. It was just average.

Overall thoughts: It was an okay show overall and it was very wrestling heavy. Omega/Blake wasn't too wild and was surprisingly kept short, but man was that random. I didn't like Fletcher/Brody or Mark/Takeshita. Hobbs/Davis wasn't perfect but I was okay with it and the main was average. There wasn't anything great on here but the show has just improved overall over the last few months and I'd give this a 5 out of 10 overall.
