WWE Evolve 4/1/2026

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/03/wwe-evolve-3252026.html

We are at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Blake Howard and Peter Rosenberg are on commentary.

Aaron Rourke it's an exciting time for Evolve and talks about the show tonight. He says there will be new talents coming and he will have an eye on them. He says he's holding this title due to WWE ID. He says 3 new WWE ID prospects will make their debut. He says the winner of that match gets to face him in a title shot.

It's GAL comes out. He says a bunch of new dummies are making their debuts but they could be studs. He says they will learn there is only one stud on this brand and It's GAL.

Dorian Van Dux vs It's GAL

Dorian is Mike D'Vecchio. He's making his WWE TV debut here. Gal holds the ropes open for him.

Dux running backdrops him for 2. Gal germans him then facekicks him. Dux hits a hard lariat. Dux doctor bombs him and pins him.

Thoughts:
It was a decent debut for Dux here. He was made to look good here and he did with his flying and power. His problem has always been that he overdoes it and is kind of a spot monkey but if WWE can slow him down, I think he will do well here.

We are told Tristan Angels will fight Romeo Moreno next week.

Zena Sterling begs Timothy Thatcher in the back for a shot in the championship eliminator gauntler tonight. TT says she needs to pick up more wins to get in. Zena gets mad and throws a chair down when TT leaves.

Tate Wilder says Harley and Hendrix talk a big game but are hiding from him. He says he will track them both down.

Chuey Martinez is in the ring with 3 new wrestlers - CJ Valor, Chazz "Starboy" Hall and Santi Rivera. Hall is Starboy Charlie from the indies and he's a decent underdog face. CJ is asked how he's doing. He says if he learned anything form powerlifting and jiu jitsu, opportunity is never guaranteed. He says his mentors at the Rhodes Wrestling Academy taught him to keep on stepping. He says he will keep stepping until the title is his.

Santi Rivera talks next. He says he feels fantastic and feels on top of the world. He says he wrestled in New England. He says he's built by divine design and has boricua blood in his veins. he says he's the next Evolve champ.

Thoughts:
It the Starboy show here. He got to do the big spots and got a lot of chances to shine. He did well here and hit all of his stuff clean. These guys did the best they could with the situation. Rivera stuck out the least. CJ's going to be a power guy, but he's small compared to people like Harlem Lewis and I don't know if it's going to work. I can't say I see any of these guys being a huge star though. The match was alright and they got a lot of time to work with.

Starboy is interviewed after. He says it was a surprise to him. He says he'll be fighting for a WWE title and thanks everyone who supported him. He thanks Aaron Rourke for the shot and says he better watch out.

Tate Wilder is looking for Harley Riggins and Kam Hendrix. Luca Crusifino is hanging out and is looking for Tate. Tate asks what happened to him. Luca says he's on a journey of self-reflection. He says he will never figure it out if he keeps chasing them in a 2v1 right. Luca says him and Tate should team up in a tag match and tells him to picture them cruising to a win. Tate says he will take any partner he can get.

We get a video on Mike Cunningham. He says somebody's gotta do it and that's him. He says you can own any room but his and that's Main Man Energy. He says he wouldn't want to stand next to him either and that's Main Man Energy. He says he's been swinging in and out of the ring and says that's Main Man Energy.

We are told the new WWE ID Women's signees will appear next week.

Thoughts: It was a very action packed match with tons of fast paced action here. This was not one of those multi-person matches with only 2 people in the ring at once though we did get that at some points. There was a lot going on here and they did fine with this. PJ or Kali winning were the best options here as they needed the win most. It was weird for them to do this match here since all 5 girls will be facing each other again next week. That one definitely took me a bit to figure out as it was confusing.

Overall thoughts: It was a very newsworthy Evolve with 4 new in-ring debuts and more coming next week. This show is all about finding new talent and they did what they were supposed to do here. The bad news about all the new talent though is that people will have to get cut to make room for them and we will have to see who survives. I liked the opener. Dux looked good and if they can just keep him under control in the ring, he should do fine. We got a longer 3-way with 3 new debuts here. Starboy got over and picked up the win. The match was fine and we will see where things go. The main was a very fast paced match with action constantly happening and multiple people in the ring at the same time. I liked it but I don't know if I really got the need for this since the same wrestlers will battle each other next week. I'd give this show a 6 out of 10. It was a good show with a lot happening.
