TNA Impact 4/2/2026
Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/03/tna-impact-3262026.html
We are in New Orleans, Louisianan. Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt are on commentary.
Mike Santana comes out through the crowd to talk. He says he went to battle with Steve Maclin at Sacrifice. He says he's one of the toughest SOB's and he dropped him. He said he would step in and out of Sacrifice as world champ and he did.
He says Eddie Edwards is up next. He says they are now officially facing each other at Rebellion on 4/11/2026. Eddie Edwards comes out with Cedric Alexander. Eddie says Rebellion will be known as "The Night of The System". He says when he takes the title from him, TNA will be run by The System. Mike says Eddie doesn't believe his own words or else he'd fight him right now.
Cedric tells Mike to calm down. He says Mike won't be the only man losing a title at Rebellion. He says Leon Slater has been dodging him. Ced says he will become the new X-Division champ at Rebellion.
Leon Slater comes out. He says he doesn't like how Ced talks about him. He says Ced thinks it will be easy but it won't happen. He says he beat him one time and has no problem doing it again. Ced says they will have the Tag Titles, the X-Division Title and the World Title. He says The System will have all the gold.
Order 4 come out. Ali says Rebellion will be the night of Order 4. Ali says he'll be the next International champ. He asks the crowd to say, "In Ali, We Trust".
Trey Miguel comes out. Trey says the rule of thumb is that if someone says your name, you have to step up. He tells Ali to look at him when he talks to him. Trey says Ali is a coward. He says he hides behind the numbers as he can't do it himself. He challenges him to be a real man at Rebellion. He says he won't walk away with his International Title.
Ali says him not being able to walk away is like what happened to Jada Stone, right? Mike says they should get in here and they should throw hands. Ali says they have numbers and Mike only has 3. Moose then comes out with Alisha Edwards. Ali beats up The Great Hands and enters the ring.
Santino Marella comes out. He tells everyone to calm down. He says he has an idea - Ali, Eddie, Ced and Zero vs Mike, Moose, Leon and Trey.
Thoughts: They addressed a lot here. Santino's gotta learn when to mess up people's names and when not to though. I had no idea who was supposed to be in the next match because he messed up the names on purpose. I'm not excited about there being a PLE on 4/11. There is just not enough time to build that up right.
Leon Slater, Mike Santana, Moose & Trey Miguel vs. Order 4 (Mustafa Ali & Special Agent 0) & The System (Cedric Alexander & Eddie Edwards)
Moose shoves Ced on the lock up. Moose running euros him then uranage's him. Moose sentons him. Mike chops Ced. Ced then hits Mike from behind. Mike hits armdrags on Eddie then dropkicks him. Eddie takes corner attacks. Leon rewind kicks Eddie. Mike jumps off Leon's back with a senton on Eddie.

Ced knees Leon in the gut. Leon spinning heel kicks him. Trey comes in and dropkicks the heels off the apron. Trey knee slides out and tornado ddt's Ali on the floor. Trey top rope diving meteora's him inside for 2. Ali ear claps Trey. Zero comes in and chokeslams Trey. We go to break and return.
Trey lariats Ali down. Zero germans Trey. Trey takes corner attacks and Ced michinoku drivers him for 2. Ced hits chops and Trey asai moonsaults him. Trey back body drops Ali.
Mike hits doi fives on Eddie and claymore kicks him. Mike topes Ced outside and top rope splashes Eddie for 2.Trey canadian destroyer ddt's Ali and Ali takes a nasty looking bump on his neck. Cedropkicks Trey through the ropes. Leon slingshot plancha's Ced. Zero suicide dives outside. Moose catches Ali's tope and apron powerbombs him.
Moose and Zero hockey fight. Moose dropkicks Zero then top rope superplexes him. Ali hits a top rope 450 and Leon hits a swanton 450. Trey neckbreakers Ced over his back. Trey goes to springboard and is forearmed by Zero. Zero takes a spinning lariat out. Mike handles The Great Hands. Mike backroll cutters Ced and Eddie shining wizards Mike to win.
Thoughts: It was a good opener. We had bunch of flying here and it was a fast paced match. It was what you would think it would be and it worked out as it was supposed to.
Daria Rae complains to Santino in the back about making impromptu decisions. She says it's always chaos and he can't get it together. She asks who laid out Nic Nemeth at Sacrifice. Santino says she was late and not here. Daria says she was in a board meeting where they talked about him. She says he's skating on thin ice.
Daria says it'll be Arianna Grace vs Xia Brookside in a #1 Contender's Match tonight. Daria tells him to get out of her office. Santino says this is his office and she doesn't care.
Thoughts: The Daria Rae character sucks. It makes Santino looks like such a putz and is like watching a husband be sent to sleep on the couch over and over again.
We see clips of the roster congratulating Ricky Sosa on being signed. Eric Young comes up to him. He says he's the gatekeeper here. He says he sets the tone. He says the hard work starts not and asks him if he understands.
The Hardy Boyz come out to talk. Matt says Sacrifice was a revelation and a realization. He says The Righteous betrayed them as they thought they would. He says it's a shame as they could have been great friends and a great faction. He said they could have made money and magic together but it's not happening. He says it's clear they attacked him before the PPV. He says Dutch then attacked him at the PPV. Matt then starts talking in another voice. Matt says they will snuff them out.
Jeff says they made a mistake. Jeff says he painted their faces and said he thought it was a brotherly love thing. He says brotherhood is dead. Matt says they will only talk about apocalyptic consequences now.
The Righteous come out. Vince says what they did wasn't to them, it was for them. He says they just removed what was in the way. Vince says love requires sacrifice. Dutch says they don't cling to the lie of love being gentle. He says Matt is stronger than death. Dutch says they aren't victims but the offering. Matt says they are offering to whip their @ss right now.
Vince says that's disappointing. He says the feeling they have isn't pain or anger, it's the old them trying to survive something greater. Vince says they are running away from themselves. Vince says they have something they want.
Vince says it's buried and forgotten but still breathing. Matt says let's see if they are breathing if they step in the ring with them now. Vince says it sounds like a wonderful idea but not tonight. Matt challenges them for next week. Dutch says that sounds lovely. Dutch says it must be done Hardy's style in the way of extreme. Jeff says it'll be a tables match for the titles.
Thoughts: It ran into the usual issues Vincent and Dutch's stuff runs into with them not being able to get their points across directly and leaving us wondering what exactly they were talking about. I still have no idea what they are doing with The Hardy's.
The White Rabbit teleports in the back and grabs Victoria Crawford as she walks to the ring.
Arianna Grace and Stacks mock Mike in the back. Grace is told to go and she says she won't. She says she just saw the champ get pinned and it's a bad look. Grace says champs are supposed to win and she'd know as she's champ. She tells him to grab some notes as she handles business and she doesn't know what Mike does. Mike says they don't even work here.
Bunkhouse Match - Tessa Blanchard vs. Jody Threat
JT hits Tess on the stage as she enters. She hits mounted shots. JT runs to the back for a trash can and hits Tess with it. JT hits her with the can more. JT stomps Tess and the bell officially rings.
JT throws weapons in the ring and can't lift a case she finds outside. JT grabs a table from under the ring and gets dropkicked through the ropes. Tess pounds on her on the floor. JT's head is banged off the steps. Tess pushes JT's head against the post and boots her. Tess then fails to lift the case. Tess rams herself into the can and post when JT moves.
JT finally lifts this mythical box into the ring. Tess nails JT. JT apron edge powerbombs Tess. We go to break and return. JT stomps Tess. Tess' face is banged off the mat. JT puts her in a chair and meteora's the chair when Tess moves. Tess hits mounted shots on her.
JT's head is dropkicked into the buckles and a chair between the ropes. JT his cowbell shots on Tess. JT ties up Tess with a wire over the top buckle. JT hits cowbell shots on her. They grab the mythical box again. Tess' head is put in it and JT tries to close the case on her.
Tess whips JT with her belt. Tess then chokes JT with the ref's belt. JT F-5's Tess while Tess is on her shoulders. Tess falls out of the ring but holds onto the belt. JT is getting choked out and the ref stops it.
Thoughts: The finish was creative and worked. Tess was very good here as she was aggressive and attacked her like it was a real fight. The stuff with the box/case turned comedic though. They could not get the box in the ring three times in a row and the struggle over it was very funny when it wasn't supposed to be. The box didn't factor into this much either, so I don't know why they focused on it so much. The match was mostly good but the box stuff brought it down.
Ryan Nemeth is trying to figure out who attacked his brother at Sacrifice. He says he will take that person out. He sees BDE and asks if he took out Nic Nemeth. BDE says he doesn't know what he's talking about. Frankie Kazarian comes in. Kaz says it wasn't him and says it was probably BDE. BDE says he doesn't like being accused by them. Kaz says you don't disrespect him or point your finger at him. Ryan says Kaz needs to teach him a lesson. BDE say he won't back down from a match.
Elijah walks in and the heels leave. Elijah says if BDE wants to shut Kaz's mouth, they'd all be happy.
The White Rabbit then appears in front of Tessa Blanchard and she follows him backstage.
The Home Town Man vs. AJ Francis
AJ pokes him and throws him down on the lock up. Home hits punches then lariats him over the top. Home topes him. Home hits him with his shirt. Home goes for a slam and AJ falls down on him for 2. AJ chokes him over the 2nd rope then pulls his neck over the ropes. AJ clubs him. AJ hits tennessee whiskey.
AJ spits on Home's shirt and throws it. AJ hits forearms. Home fires up, hits some punches and hits a slam on him for 2. AJ spears him then chokeslams him for the win.
Thoughts: Home lost as expected here. This one was mostly built around Home and AJ was just along for the ride. It was fine and made sense but nothing too special.
AJ gets on the mic after. AJ says there's been a lot of talk about what happened to Nic Nemeth. AJ says to roll the footage. We see clips of Nic down and Ryan asking for help. AJ says he's the one who took out Nic. He says he made his TNA debut 2 years ago when he beat Joe Hendry. He says he has taken out all of our favs but says all Nic has done is steal opportunity after opportunity from him. He says he has proven that he's the show stealer in TNA.
Ryan Nemeth comes out and yells at AJ. He then backs off as AJ charges him. AJ says he will do him like his brother and will leave him without a pulse because he's the best big man in the business. He says that business is money, money, money.
Xia Brookside says she's ready in the back. Yei Ling Lee says she has a gift for her. We then see Xia's dad Robbie Brookside wishing her luck in a video. Robbie says this is her birthright to become champ and she agrees.
We see One Man Gang in the crowd again. He definitely stands out and looks more imposing than anyone else on this show.
TNA Knockouts World Title Match - Arianna Grace (c) vs. Xia Brookside
AG rolls her up then wristlocks her. Xia rolls out and is taken down by the wrist. Xia kips up and la magistral's her. Xia yanks on the arm. AG takes her down and leglocks her. They armdrag each other then Xia dropkicks her. We go to break and return.
Xia flying headscissors her. Xia running back elbows her in the corner. Xia russian legsweeps her then takes her down for 2. AG flying back elbows her for 2. Stacks gives AG the cobra. Xia tornado ddt's her off the 2nd rope for 2 when Stacks pulls Xia out. Lei Ying Lee grabs Stacks then AG hits Lee outside. Xia's back is rammed into the apron edge. AG sends Lee into the steps.
Xia thesz presses her outside and hits mounted shots. AG is then sent into the steps. Xia tornado ddt's her. Xia grabs the cobra and they fight over it. Stacks is on the apron and AG is pushed into her. Xia rolls her up for 2.
AG pump kicks her. Xia codebreakers her for 2. Xia is tripped into the 2nd buckle face first. Stacks gets involved and Lee topes him. AG grabs the Knockouts Title and hits Xia. She then TKO's her on the knee and wins.
Thoughts: It wasn't the disaster it could have been but it was a bit below average. There was a ton of interference here by Stacks and it didn't look good. Xia lost as expected here as Grace has been getting pushed and Xia hasn't been.
Mike Santana comes out to help Lee. Stacks swings at him and is hit with a spinning lariat.
Eddie Edwards appears in the crowd. He says Santana is running around and getting emotional. He says that's his thing - letting his emotions call the shots. He says Santana is standing in the ring as someone pinned twice by him. He says Santana isn't in control but his ego is. Santana challenges him to get in the ring. Eddie says he beat him once and will do it next at Rebellion. He says he will beat him for the 3rd time and will walk out of Cleveland as a 3x TNA champ. Santana says he will stomp him out. He says Eddie will face the standard of TNA for the title.
Tessa Blanchard is in some old school room. She runs into Father James Mitchell who says, "Welcome to The Undead Realm". He then laughs and the show ends.
Overall thoughts: The opener was good and Tessa/Threat was mostly good. The Righteous tried to explain their turn on The Hardy's and didn't do a great job of it. AJ Francis beat The Home Town Man as expected and they did what they were supposed to do there. The main wasn't that great as expected but it wasn't the disaster it could have been. We also got a bunch of spooky sci-fi stuff with The White Rabbit that is what it is. The first half of this one was better than the second half. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 and thought it as average as some of the low points really brought this down.
