WWE Evolve 3/25/2026

WWE Evolve 3/25/2026

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/03/wwe-evolve-3182026.html

We are in the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Blake Howard and Peter Rosenberg are on commentary.

Tate Wilder is in the ring. He says he's being blamed by Kam Hendrix and Harley Riggins for them losing a match. He says they attacked him and couldn't finish the job. He tells them to out and see if they can finish it. Cam, Harley and Kai Kavari come out. Kam mocks him. Riggins calls Tate awful for taking Kai out in front of his family and friends. He says Kai wants to go now.

Tate Wilder vs Kai Kavari

Kai slides in and is dropkicked. Kai's head is banged off the buckles. Kai is sent chest first into the buckles. He then takes a backdrop uranage. Tate hits euros and Kai slides out. Tate's throat is pulled over the top rope. He then gets lariated for 1.

Kai spin kicks Tate in the gut. Kai suplexes him for 2. Kai chinlocks him then half-straightjacket cokes him. Tate knocks him down a few times and running shoulderblocks him. Tate twisting suplexes him. Tate top rope moonsaults him and pins him.

Thoughts:
It was a quick one. I don't like Kai getting handled like this in his first singles match. He didn't get to do a lot here but he likes to bump and didn't botch.

Tate throws Kai out after. He asks if this is the best the heels got.

Lince Dorado vs. Mike Cunningham

Jha'Quan McNair is in the VIP Lounge.

Mike armlocks and hammerlocks LD. LD flying snapmares him then Mike shoulders him over. Line hiptosses him. Line flips over his back and armdrags him into an armlock. LD dropkicks Mike for 2. Mike shoulderbeakers him. LD sits up top and is dropkicked down.

Mike springboard tornillo's him outside. Mike hits a hard running lariat for 2. Mike elbows the arm. LD hits punches and chops. Mike back body drops him. Mike spinebusters him for 2. Mike hits some punches and misses a legdrop. LD springboards and Mike pulls him down. Mike running legdrops him for 2.

Mike armlocks him. LD flying headscissors him. LD euros him over, lariats him and spinning heel kicks him. LD backcrackers him. LD tope con hilos him through the ropes. LD top rope crossbodies him. LD armbars him. LD high kicks him then hits a handspring cutter for 2.

LD is up top and takes a euro. Mike falcon arrow's him off the buckles for 2. LD then rolls him up and pins him.

Thoughts: Mike does a lot of the right things but hasn't put it together yet. He has to stop the dancing. He makes him come off unlikable and that's not good since he's going to be a face. The falcon arrow off the buckles probably should have put Lince down here. They didn't really get a good rhythm going here.

Lince is interviewed. He says Mike is cool and reminds him of himself. Mike comes in and says Lince is quick. He says Lince taught him some valuable lessons going forward. He says he doesn't lose, he only learns and that is Main Man Energy.

Timothy Thatcher is in the back on the phone. He says Kendal Grey didn't just hold the women's title, she earned it. He says she set the new standard in Evolve. He says the division needs a new standard. He says they will have an eliminator gauntlet in 3 weeks to determine a new champ.

He says next week will have Lyons vs Vasa vs Choo vs Laynie Luck competing for the last spot in the gauntlet. He says new prospects will debut next week. He then puts on his Evolve hard hat and says let's get to work.

Kali Armstrong vs. Masyn Holiday

MH dances with Layla Diggs on her way to the ring.

Kali rams her in the corner and hits shots to the gut. Kali hits corner spears. MH hits punches. Kali powerslams MH then running shoulders her for the win.

Thoughts:
It was just a quick squash here and not much else.

Kali says she's looking for Timothy Thatcher after.

We get another Braxton Cole video. He talks about his first world problems. He says generational wealth made him a generational athlete.

Brooks Jensen vs. Cappuccino Jones

Cap does an inset promo. He says the pot is hot and Jensen isn't. He says it's personal tonight. he says it's time someone knocks him off his high horse and he's that guy. Brooks says he made the biggest mistake of his life by calling him out.

BJ dives at him and misses. Cap hits forearms. Cap 2nd rope diving flatliners him then dropkicks him out. Cal low dropkicks off the apron. We go to break and return. BJ traps him in the ring skirt and pounds on him. They trade shots. Cap sits up top and is lariated down.

BJ hits crossface shots and bangs Cap's face off the apron. BJ elbow drops him and sends him into the ropes. BJ euros him in the back of the neck. BJ puts his feet around Cap's head and bangs Cap's head into the mat. BJ full nelsons him twice. BJ misses a charge and goes into the 2nd rope. Cap boots him and corner lariats him. Cap elbows him in the head.

Cap slips on a springboard then 2nd rope springboard back elbows him. Cap then does it again. They trade forearms. Cap hits punches and superkicks him. Cap crossbodies him over the top and both go out. They fight outside. They push the ref and the ref declares a double DQ no contest.

Thoughts: You can only really get so excited about a Jensen match. He's just not a super exciting guy to watch and Cap wasn't the guy to make it more exciting. Cap also had a bit of a sloppy night and it was mostly just two people pounding on each other.

They fight more after and BJ hits him with his cowbell.

Kali Armstrong talks to Timothy Thatcher. She says she was supposed to beat Kendal to become Evolve champ and it can't happen as she left. Tim says Evolve is where rivalries start. He says her goal should be to get to NXT where she will see Kendal again. He says she should focus on the Evolve Women's Title. He says everyone feels the same way but adds her to the gauntlet qualifier, which is now a 5-way with her in it.

Aaron Rourke comes out to talk. He says it's crazy to be out here as champ. He says he wasn't so confident at one time and was made fun of. He says kids made him hate who he was in school. He says he wanted to be like his heroes including Ric Flair, who he says inspired him to wear his robe. He says Charlotte Flair is his favorite wrestler and she inspired him too. He says he will chase her 14 titles.

He talks about being told how he was too different to be in the ring. He said he made his own mold instead of trying to fit into it. He says not to be anyone else but yourself as you are good enough and great. He says he wants everyone to say he's outlandish, but that's why we love him.

He thanks the fans and says he loves them and is privileged to be their champ.

Harlem Lewis watches in the back. He tells Aaron to soak up the spotlight while he has it as it won't last long and the title will be his.

Overall thoughts:
It wasn't one of my more favorite episodes of Evolve. Like NXT recently, their best talents got called up and now the brand will be lacking some starpower for a while. And this is Evolve where the talent isn't the greatest to begin with. The opener wasn't too much of note and I didn't like Kai Kavari getting beaten in his singles debut. Cunningham and Dorado didn't really get a good rhythm going. Cunningham really has to drop the stripper stuff or go full on heel because a stripper face isn't going to work. Kali Armstrong won a squash. Jensen and Cappuccino had a more strike focused match that wasn't pretty. Aaron Rourke did his usual speech about how he's different and was bullied that we have heard before. I would recommend this one and would give it a 4 out of 10. I thought it was below average.
