We are at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Blake Howard and Peter Rosenberg are on commentary.

Chazz Hall arrives. He says he knows the opportunity he has tonight. He says his hard work brought him here. He says he will take his first steps to becoming a superstar on the other brands here. He says it's time to take over Evolve. He gets interrupted by a crashing sound. Tate Wilder and Luca Crusifino have been taken out by Kam Hendrix and Harley Riggins.

Tristan Angels vs Romeo Moreno

This is the Evolve debut for both and the WWE debut for Romeo. Tristan was just on AAA last week. Tristan does an inset promo. He says rejoice as Mr. England is gracing Evolve with his presence. He says the most handsome man you have laid your eyes on has arrived. Romeo does an inset promo. He says he's an artist and Evolve is his canvas. He says he will create moments and his legacy.

They lock up. TA armlocks him. RM headflips out and takes him down. TA hits him from the apron. TA shoulders him over. RM trips him then dropkicks him. RM overhead throws him. They chop each other. TA back elbows him. RM is on the 2nd rope and TA double stomps him down. 

TA hits mounted shots. TA suplexes him for 2. TA tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him.  RM's face is banged off the ropes. RM facekicks him. RM enzugiri's him from the apron. RM goes for a springboard and he is pushed on the ropes and out. We go to break and return.

They hit shots on each other. RM rolls into a dropkick on him. RM hits flying lariats. TA is hiptossed out. RM does Taka Michinoku's spaceman plancha. RM springboard dropicks TA for 2. TA backrolls him for 2. TA then half-crabs him. RM rolls him into a brainbuster for 2. 

They both get on the apron and trade shots. TA sweeps him off the apron onto the steps face first. TA hits curbstomp with the knee and wins.

Thoughts: It was just average. TA's not very exciting and is defintely a heel wrestler. RM is a taller high flyer and more of a face. I didn't think it was anything too great. 

Jha'Quan McNair aka Jacari Ball and Santi Rivera talk. It's GAL comes up to them. Gal says they look like studs and says looking like a million bucks is one thing but staying in mind condition is another thing. Gal invites them to workout. They agree and head to the gym.

Thoughts: This is McNair's 2nd appearance on this show. He was shown off a long time ago but never wrestled. I'm glad they changed his name as it's too hard to spell.

Byron Saxton is in the ring with the four new WWE ID female signees.

Giana Capri is first up. She says her years of training prepared her for this moment. She says her time in SHINE and in Japan gave her the extra sauce she needs. She says everyone wants to stay at her table until she flips it.

Sloane Jacobs is next. She used to be on NXT Level Up but was cut. She says she's back and ready to resurface where she belongs. She says she made waves and have waited 3 years for her redemption. She says all these girls will sink beneath her tonight. 

Veronica Haven is next. She says she was lucky to train at Future Stars of Wrestling. She says she trained her aggression into pro wrestling. She says it's time to show Evolve why this fallen angel was chosen to be the next WWE ID prospect.

Anya Rune is next. She says she's an anime girl and comes from a manga panel. She says thanks to SHINE, she was noticed. She says she's the main character of everyone's favorite anime and says we will have no choice but to notice her.

Thoughts: Giana is Valentina Rossi and was Adriana Gambino in WOW. She came across well. Sloane was on NXT Level Up but wasn't ready in-ring wise. We will see if she got better. I've only seen Haven once but she didn't do good on the mic here. I haven't seen Anya before but at least she has a gimmick that's easy to understand.

PJ Vasa comes out. She says she only sees her future victim's and says if they make it to the gauntlet eliminator, she's the last in.

Timothy Thatcher is in his office. He says Evolve has been changing the last few weeks and he's wearing a collared shirt. He says he's trying to make Evolve the best show it can be. He puts over Tyra Mae Steel's performance vs Kendal Grey. He says she can be in the women's gauntlet and says he needs to make a phone call for #8. He says Tate and Luca are out. He says he doesn't understand why Kam and Harley are attacking people. He says he could suspend them but says Tate and Luca will want their match. He says that match is on when they are cleared.

Giana Capri vs Sloane Jacobs vs Veronica Haven vs Anya Rune

Haven and Anya hug. SJ and Giana take japanese armdrags. Anya is thrown out. Haven enzugiri's her opponents from the apron and top rope double crossbodies them inside for 2. Giana forearms Haven over. Giana overhead kicks Haven down from the top rope. Anya hits shots on SJ and Giana. Anya is thrown down backwards. Giana hits elbows on Anya and lariats her for 2.

Nikkita Lyons and Laynie Luck are in the VIP section. SJ bangs Anya's head off the buckles with her legs. Giana axe kicks Anya's back. SJ side slams Anya then Giana split leg drops Anya. SJ and Giana push each other. Anya upkicks both then bangs their heads together.

Anya chest kicks SJ in the corner then takes her down by the arm. Anya backdrops Giana. Anya hits forearms on Giana. Giana is sent out. Haven rolls up SJ. SJ twisting fisherman's neckbreakers Anya. Haven is hit with snake eyes from SJ. 

SJ clips Haven then indian deathlocks her. Haven taps out.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good. There weren't a lot of botches or anything but the format and skill levels made it tough. Giana looked miles above everyone here. Sloane is back, but she still looks green. Anya didn't do that bad.

Kali Armstrong runs in and throws out the girls. Sloane goes face to face with her. Laynie Luck jumps in the ring and hits forearms on Kali. Kali punches her. Luck is down and backed up in the corner and Kali says this is what she does.

We see Mike Cunningham working out with Lince Dorado. He says it's cool working out with him but Lince is keeping the lucha magic from him. Lince says he can't show him everything. Santi, Gal and Jacari are working out. Lince yells at them for being loud. Mike says him and Lince should team up with Gal and a partner. Gal says they should wrestle Santi and Jacari instead.

Aaron Rourke says it's one thing to win the belt but it's another to keep it. Harley and Kam call him pretty boy and tell him the paint may help him. Aaron says he has a title and they don't and asks if they are going to jump him like Tate and Luca.

Dorian Van Dux returns next week. 

WWE Evolve Title - Aaron Roberts (c) vs Chazz "Starboy" Hall

They lock up and AR rolls him. Star then rolls him off of it. AR waistlock takedowns him. AR wristlocks him. Star headflips out. AR throws him by the wrist. Star upkicks him and they kip up and stand off. Star flips out of a snapmare. AR rolls up Star and basement dropkicks him. 

Star walks up the ropes and springboard corkscrew armdrags him. Star dropkicks him. Star enzugiri's him then boots him out. Brooks Jensen is in the VIP Lounge and yells at AR to get back in. Star plancha's him. Brooks calls AR a coward. Cappuccino Jones comes in and hits Jensen. They go to the back.

We go to break and return. AR goes up and over Star then dropkicks him in the corner. AR pump kicks him for 2. AR knee drops him and dances. AR full nelson's Star in mid-air. Star armdrags him. AR enzugiri's him from the buckles and corkscrew elbow drops him off the 2nd rope.

AR elbow drops Star. Star spinning heel kicks him. AR misses a corner splash. Star springboard dropkicks him. AR 2nd rope moonsaults into a spinning ddt for 2. Star sits up top and AR handstand hurricanrana's him. AR forearms him in the spine. Star headscissors him but AR flips out and lands on his feet. Star pele kicks him. AR blue thunders him for 2. 

AR is up top and Star handspring backflip kicks him. Star then does the flying space tiger drop outside. Star misses a top rope ssp. Star shiranui's AR. Star standing corkscrew moonsaults AR. AR corner meteora's him. AR hits a nasty ushigoroshi. AR hits a molly go round off the top and pins him.

Thoughts: Action wise it was a decent bout with the two doing all kinds of flying and having an athletic match. AR has gotten a lot better and can do a lot more than he used to. Star did some nice flying here but had no real shot of winning. Starpower wise, it was a weak main event though.

Kam and Harley watch in the back. They say these two can fight. Harlem Lewis says AR is ducking him.

Overall thoughts: It's rather amazing how quickly this show has changed. It feels like most of the people from last season are gone and it has only been a month or so. Their replacements need a lot of work and I'm not quite sure if I see the starpower in them. The opener was average. Romeo Moreno moves well for his size and is young and he may be worth keeping an eye on. I see "tag team" guy at best for Tristan. Jha'Quan McNair has finally arrived. We got to see the 4 new female signees in action. It wasn't that great and Giana Capri was the only girl who stuck out. The main was very athletic. Aaron Roberts has improved a ton and Starboy can do just about everything with ease. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 as the main was the only thing I liked here.
