Vic Joseph and Peter Rosenberg are on commentary.

Karmen Petrovic said she had to join the gauntlet tonight with the eliminator being for the title. She talks about the girls in the gauntlet. She says she's not called "The Gold Leg" for nothing and says opportunities like this don't come up often.

Aaron Rourke comes out to talk. He says he heard it took effort to get to the top but consistency to stay there. He says he understands that now. He says Chazz Hall is a great competitor and he knows he will challenge for the title again. He says he's a champ you could be proud of. He says he has a problem with Harlem Lewis as she says he is ducking him. AR tells him to come out and say why he thinks he's ducking him.

Harlem Lewis comes out. Lewis says he could break him right now. He says he won't as it'll prolong what he wants. He says the truth is AR is ducking him and says his reign is over the second he gets a match. AR says they can fight right now.

Braxton Cole comes out. He says he likes what Lewis said. He says the clock is running out for AR and says he (Cole) will be the one to take the title. He says he has the championship pedigree and says he has the qualities to take this title in the right direction.

AR says he has the looks of someone he wants to punch in the face. He says he didn't forget what he did to Marcus Mathers. AR says he could make this a triple threat. Lewis gets mad and says he's doing it because he's scared. Cole nails Lewis from behind and sends him into AR. Cole hits like an F-5 into a uranage on AR then stands over top of him with the title.

We get a video on Tristan Angels. He talks about his family farm and says it ends with him. He says he's not only one of the best wrestlers Europe has produced, but he was the 2022 Mr. International England. He says don't be fooled, he's as tough as pig's foot. He says Tristan Angels has arrived.

Lince Dorado and Mike Cunningham come out. Mike says to take something off the tron and says he has a new name. He says it should be on billboards and in the lights. He says his new name is Max Abrams.

Lince Dorado & Max Abrams vs. Jacari Ball & Santi Rivera

It's GAL is with Ball and SR. He says he's got fresh new meat.

Lince and SR lock up. SR backs him up in the corner and pats his head. Lince shoves him. CJ Valor is in the VIP Lounge. SR hammerlocks him. Lince flying snapmares him. SR shoulders him over. Lince la magistral's him for 2. 

SR clubs on Lince. Lince double dropkicks his opponents. Lince and Max hit dropkicks. Max armdrags Ball into an armock. Max flying back elbows him for 2. Max misses a corner charge and Ball throws him down backwards. Ball flying corner larias him. Max takes a neckbreaker + backbreaker on the knee combo.

SR pushes Lince out. Ball stomps Max in the corner. SR then stomps Max. Max hits shots on Ball then Ball knees him in the gut. Ball gutwrench suplexes him for 2. Max hits shots on Ball. 

Lince hot tags in. He is flipped into a pele kick on Ball. Lince hits euros and lariats on SR. Lince rakes his back and backcrackers him for 2. Lince hits a handspring double stunner. Max lariats both opponents out together. Max puts his sunglasses on and Lince tope con hilos his opponents through the ropes. Lince top rope crossbodies SR for 2.

Ball dropkicks Max off the apron. Lince superkicks Ball. Lince moonsaults and Ball gets his feet up. Lince takes an atomic drop into a slingblade for 2.

Lince hits a double ddt off a double suplex attempt.  Lince goes up top, Max tags himself in and knocks Lince off the buckles in the process. Gal gets on the apron and Lince kicks him. SR rolls up Lince and pins him.

Thoughts: The ending was interesting. I've never seen someone cost their partner the win with a tag. It was something different. The match was fine and harmless. It wasn't great or anything but I had no issues with it. I'm not really digging what they are doing with Max. 

Dorian Van Dux vs. Kai Kavari

Dux backs him up in the corner and does a taunt. Kai hits a flury of shots and dropkicks him. Kai springboard back elbows him. Dux gets upset and lariats him down. Dux does a spinning gutwrench powerbomb. Dux top rope ssp's Kai and pins him.

Thoughts: This company likes Dux and for good reason. The crowd is getting into him as well and he's clearly got a bright future. Kai did a little flying here which we hadn't see him do before. He's a bit more layback though. This was all squash.

Brooks Jensen does a promo. He asks what Cappuccino Jones thought he was doing when he jumped him. He said he had a dream of a last battle between them with a cowbell involved. He says they will face each other in a bullrope match next week.

WWE Evolve Women's Title Gauntlet Eliminator

This is not a gauntlet, but a delayed entry 7-way.

Laynie Luck and Karmen Petrovic are the first two in. KP side headlocks her and tries a pin. Luck tries a pin. They do a double knuckle lock. We see girls watching this in the back. Luck trips her. KP armdrags her then legsweeps her. They each go for pins. They double swinging facebuster each other.

Kali Armstrong comes out. We go to break and return. Kali throws KP then rams Luck in the corner. Kali hits running corner spears. Kali spinebusters Luck. KP hits kicks on Kali. Luck sunset flips her. Kali takes a double superkick into the gut.Kali takes a double legsweep. KP sliding kicks Kali for 2. Kali knocks over KP. 

Wendy Choo is next in. Choo hits lariats on Kali then hits a pepsi twist lariat. Luck is sent into Kali and Choo handspring forearms them. Choo running facekicks Kali. Choo 2nd rope crossbodies her. KP superkicks Choo for 2. Luck upkicks Kali. KP boots Kali out of the corner.

Tyra Mae Steele is next in and she interrupts a pin as she heads in. Tyra takes down all opponents. KP is held for a flying forearm from Kali. Tyra pins KP. Karmen Petrovic is eliminated.

Tyra and Kali slap hands. Luck is held for shots from Kali. Luck knees Tyra in the face. Choo is pushed into the steps outside. Luck is stomped on.

Sloane Jacobs is next in. SJ claymore kicks Tyra. SJ tornado ddt's Kali off Tyra. SJ flying back elbows Tyra for 2. SJ helps up Luck to work with her then she rolls her up and pins her. Laynie Luck is eliminated.

SJ is double teamed and held for a flying Kali shoulderblock. Sloane Jacobs is eliminated.

Kali and Tyra get hype. Choo backrolls Tyra for 2. Choo puts her in the dirtnap and Kali breaks it up. Choo gets double teamed. Choo is double suplexed.

Nikkita Lyons is next in. She has lost a bunch of weight. Lyons hits shots on Tyra and Kali. Lyons fisherman suplexes Tyra. Lyons is double teamed. Lyons is held for a flying Kali shoulder but Tyra gets pulled into it and takes it. Lyons drops Kali with a forearm and hits Tyra with a spin kick to the face. Lyons pins Tyra. Tyra Mae Steele is eliminated.

Lyons flying headscissors Kali. Choo intercepts Lyons on the buckles. We get a tower of doom spot with Choo being superplexed. 

PJ Vasa is the final entry. We go to break and return. PJ corner splashes Kali then black hole slam her for 2. PJ takes a double boot. PJ double suplexes Choo and Lyons. Kali powerslams PJ. Tyra stops Kali's running shoulder. Kali swings at her and is kicked. Lyons high kicks Kali and pins her. Kali Armstrong is eliminated.

The locker room is still watching in the back. PJ is double teamed. PJ takes a high/low. PJ is put in a double armbar. PJ is thrown out. Lyons tiger drivers Choo for 2. PJ back body drops Lyons. Choo dirtnap's PJ. PJ spinning samoan drops Choo.

PJ misses a splash off the buckles. Choo does a short ddt on PJ with her leg. Lyons split leg drop's PJ and pins her. PJ Vasa is eliminated.

Lyons and Choo are the final two. They trade shots. Lyons forearms her and Choo euros her. Lyons michinoku drivers Choo for 2. Lyons shoulder throws Choo. Choo full nelson slams Lyons for 2. Lyons catches Choo off the buckles and swinging slam her. Lyons vader bombs Choo for 2.

Choo dirtnaps Lyons and Lyons backrolls out. Lyons kicks her in the gut. Choo hurricanrana's her off a tiger driver attempt and wins.

Thoughts: Choo winning was a big upset and it kind of feels like a "thank you" gift for her. She really wasn't the best pick but at least she has been a main character on the show and she's definitely worked hard for it. The match went fine. They kept up a good pace and it never got boring. Them having Kali continuously lose would usually perplex me, but she's on NXT now and probably won't be around here much longer. They kind of buried Karmen as she was brought in as a surprise and quickly got taken out. This worked out well and was a fun bout.

Timothy Thatcher gives Choo the title after and Choo holds it up. 

Overall thoughts: It was a fun episode of Evolve, though if you watched this over Dynamite, you made the wrong call (there was a major happening on it). The opener was fine. Dux won a squash and WWE clearly likes him. The women's gauntlet went well and had a surprise winner. This was an easy 6 out of 10 for me and they did a good job with this episode.
