NWA Powerrr 4/28/2026

Note - The NWA moves to Comet TV this week (Friday at 10PM and Saturday at 4PM). You'd never know that by watching this show as they didn't mention it once. I'm sure they weren't allowed to, but there's going to be a lot of confused fans next week when they find out the show isn't on Roku and when they find out they are now 2 episodes behind.

Joe Galli, Danny Dealz and Tim Storm are on commentary.

#1 Contender's Match - Dr. Vik vs Wrecking Ball Legursky

Vik does karate poses and backs off from Ball. Vik hits punches to the gut and Ball no sells them. Vik head chops him and Ball no sells it. Vik bites the hand then gets on his back with a sleeper. Ball throws him over. 

Ball misses a splash. Miss Starr tells Vik to headbutts him. Vik does and Ball no sells it. Ball headbutts him down. Vik's head is banged off the buckles. Ball wind up punches him. Ball chest clubs him. Vik stunners him over the top rope. Starr tell Vik to go get him.

Ball shoulders Vik over. Vik eye rakes him and flail's on him. Vik karate kicks him in the gut. Starr gets on the apron and says to do it again. Vik tries it again and is powerslammed. Ball hits a corner splash. Ball hits a corner hip attack.  

Vik goes out. Ball splashes him against the side of the ring. Ball misses a splash and goes into the post. The ref counts 10 and Vik wins by countout!

Thoughts: Bigtime upset here. If you had to have Vik win, this was the only way you could do it...minus a meteor crashing on Ball's head. The logic was good and it was kind of interesting.

Tiffany Nieves comes out and looks shocked. She golf claps for Vik. They play some love music. Vik tries to hug her and she screams.

Tiffany Nieves and Dr. Vik try to do a promo. Tiff tries to teach him how to do the promo. She tells him to be sure of himself. Silas Mason comes in and says he will show him how to cut a wrestling promo. Silas then yells and says he will break every bone in hi body. He says every minute will be absolute agony. Vik looks shocked and Tiff says you do it like that.

The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) vs The Rewind Society (Samuel C and VHS)

Sam dances and tries to get Doc to join in. Doc no sells lariats. Doc backhands him down. VHS dances and gets Doc to join in. Doc throws him in the corner and hits punches. VHS takes a double shoulderblock. Karl back elbows VHS. 

Doc facekicks Sam. Sam takes a corner splash then a backdrop + neckbreaker combo. Doc high kicks Sam. Sam takes a magic killer and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a quick squash and not much else. The Rewind's danced and didn't get anything else in.

The Colon's and The Country Gentlemen talk in the ring with Kyle Davis. Joe Cazana says Kyle is stirring the post. He says The Colon's made a great run in The Cup last year. He says he knew their dad for 40 years. He says they live in "Puerto Stinko" and says it's one of the worst places in the world. 

Eddie/Primo says he respects them as they are a wrestling family. Eddie says everyone knows The Colon's and knows what they are capable of. He says they almost won The Cup last year and they almost forgot The Cazana's were in it. Eddie says they will win the whole thing this year. Joe says The Colon's have great legacy but you don't have Cazana legacy. He says The Colon's won't get past them in Texas. 

Eddie says they'd love to hit Joe. Eddie says they will take the old man down if he gets in their way.

TV-MA does a promo. Tiff sets up her match for next week.

The Immortals do a promo with The Crockett Cup. Kratos says you gotta come through them and says they are prey to none, friends to few and predators to all.

Pretty Empowered (Kenzie and Kylie Paige) vs Sirena Veil and Haley J

Everyone fights to start. SV and J take superkicks. J's team stalls outside. Kylie superkicks SV. SV takes some botched suplex move. SV rolls up Ken then euros her from behind. SV kisses Ken on the apron then chops her. SV knees her in the face. SV waistlock drops Ken face first on the mat for 2.

J meteora's Ken from behind. Ken is double stomped in the corner. SV leg lariats Ken. Ken stomps her. Kylie tags in and hits lariats on her opponents. Kylie superkicks SV. Kylie hits a flatliner + ddt combo. Kylie germans SV then pumping knees her for 2.

Ken superkicks J. SV is chopped by The Paige's in the corner. J clips Ken and Ken topes her. SV headbutts Kylie up top. Kylie hurricanrana's her. SV hits a spinning flatliner and pins her.

Thoughts: We got another upset here. They are definitely trying to make Veil a thing but she has to fix up some of her botches. It was acceptable.

Natalia Markova congratulates Sirena Veil. She says she can't wait as Veil has a good chance to test her skill. Nat says she's the best and proves it night after night. She says she will prove why she is called, "The Crush". 

Shanghai Stick Lethal Ladder Match - Daisy Kill vs Eric Smalls

DK brings a step ladder for Eric. 

DK mocks him to start. He call him a joke. Eric runs under the ladder to evade him then trips him into the buckles. Eric misses a bronco buster in the corner then is pulled crotch first into the post. Eric is sent into the post and the steps. 

Eric goes under the ring and pushes a kendo stick out. DK goes for it and is hit in the crotch with it. Eric then rams the stick into his crotch. DK misses a kendo stick shot. DK is pushed into the post.

They go back in the ring. Eric hits him with the kendo stick then does the worm and spins on his head into a legdrop. Eric climbs the ladder and grabs the kendo stick up top. Eric is hit in the crotch and he comes off the ladder. DK then pins him with his feet on the ropes.

Thoughts: It went as expected with Eric having to be crafty to get anywhere before being put down. They did what they could with this one and it was entertaining.

DK hits kendo stick shots on Eric after.

Sirena Veil does a promo. She says the great thing about being #1 contender is that she beat Kenzie for it. She tells Markova to watch her neck as she is coming for the gold.

NWA World Title - Silas Mason (c) vs Dr. Vik

Vik has Starr and Gretta with him.

Vik tries to get SM to calm down. Vik does karate stances. SM does karate stances back. SM blocks some shots and knocks him down just by posing. Vik goes out and stalls. SM kisses Miss Starr's hand. Vik punches SM in the gut and hurts his hand. 

SM grabs him by the arm and hits him in the gut. SM then spanks him and chops him down. SM throws him by the beard. SM slams him then pulls him up on the pin attempt. SM talks to Starr. Vik chokes SM with his belt then gets on his back. SM throws him over.

SM gets fired up. SM blocks Vik's kick then thrill ride's him for the win.

Thoughts: Yeah, Vik didn't win here and basically got destroyed. It went as it should have. 

SM says he heard Bryan Idol is getting the next NWA Title shot. He says he doesn't know what kind of blackmail he has on Corgan to get these shots. He says him getting all these title shots make him sick. He says Corgan is wasting the best talent he has ever had. He says Corgan is addicted to pissing away talent like he is addicting to pissing away money. Silas says Idol made him bleed and says it's a sin that won't be forgiven. He says Idol will see The Southern Six raise The Crockett Cup high. Silas says Idol will die.  

Overall thoughts: It was a better effort than usual from The NWA. Almost everything had a reason for happening and was built up and they got some matches for next time set up as well. There was nothing great here, but at least it was all plausible. As mentioned, they didn't mention Comet TV once and that's going to lead to some very confused fans next week, but my guess is the NWA wasn't allowed to mention Comet. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 as it was entertaining and not your typical NWA episode.
