Thoughts:
It was a fun match here with the faces flying and the heels doing the job. It ended at about the right time and they kept it moving. This was a good choice for an opener.

They show us clips of Texano Jr. and El Mesias in 2011 match where Texano became AAA Mega champ. They say they will revive their rivalry tonight.

We see clips of La Catalina at Wrestlemania. She meets John Cena and is thrilled. We then see her at a photoshoot. We see her meet Dominik Mysterio. Dom says it's his company and he's champ. Cat says she will be Reina de Reinas champ someday. We see clips of her prior run in WWE. She says the girl we saw before doesn't compare. She says she will triumph and be the princess for little girls.

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. vs Laredo Kid

Doc is the current Latin American champ and Kid is the Cruiserweight champ. Doc misses a charge and takes a corner lariat. Kid slaps him. Doc hits a corner lariat then chops him in the corner. Kid misses a corner charge and is sent out. Kid superkicks Doc outside. Kid swantons Doc off the post outside.

Kid hits a top rope splash on Doc for 2. Kid stomps Doc. They each hit some shots. Kid superkicks him in the lower back. Kid bottom rope corkscrew moonsaults him. Kid then misses a tornillo off the 2nd rope. Doc pump kicks him and headbutts him. Doc death valley drivers him for 2. Kid neckbreakers Doc.

They go out. Kid spin kicks Doc in the gut. Kid 450 splashes him off the apron to the floor. Kid misses a corner splash. Doc pump kicks him on the apron then body slams him from the apron to the floor. Doc of course only gets a 2 count off of it.

Doc triple jump moonsaults Kid for 2. Doc michinoku drivers Kid and pins him.

Thoughts: I wasn't a big fan of this. They didn't click that great and there wasn't a clear face or heel. That slam from the apron to the floor also should have put Kid down but he was kicking out of stuff right after. They continue to push Doc as a big deal but he doesn't come across as anything too special.

Doc hangs Kid his title after. They stare down with their titles and shake hands.

We get clips of a 2016 Texano Jr. vs Mesias match.

Rey Fenix talks to Laredo Kid in the back. He says it was a bad night an e's better than this. Kid says Rey is jealous that he doesn't have a title like his brother. Kid then leaves and Rey throws his towel down.

Marisela Pena talks. She says after a few weeks of reflection, AAA will have a General Manager. She says she will be looking for the best candidate. She says the new GM will be named on 5/23. She says nothing will be the same once we get a new GM.

El Mesias & Mecha Wolf vs. El Grande Americano & El Texano Jr.

Mesias has Dr. Doom entrance gear on.

Wolf hits GA from behind then stomps and pounds on him. Wolf chops him then GA leg lariats him. GA armdrags him into a hammerlock. GA headstands while doing it. GA armlocks him. Texano comes in and kicks Wolf.

Mesias tags in. He shoves Texano and they trade shots. Mesias sunset flips him but Texano sliding lariats him. GA and Texano tease dives but backroll away. Texano takes his rope away from Mesias. Mesias and Wolf then nail the faces. Texano is stomped on then hit with a hart attack for 2.

Texano takes a double shot on the ropes and Mesias gets a 2 count on him. Mesias chinlocks Texano. Mesias pulls him down by the hair. Texano tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him then they double clothesline each other down. GA tags in and drops Wolf a few times. GA back body drops Wolf. GA short arm lariats him then 2nd rope flying lariats him for 2.

Texano hits Mesias. Mesias powerslams him. GA step up enzugiri's Mesias then rolling death valey drivers Wolf. Mesias spears GA then Texano leg lariat Mesias. They fight outside and Wolf topes Texano. GA overshoots a tope on Mesias.

Texano spears Mesias into a rail. GA hits Wolf and mist spits out of Wolf's mouth. GA flying headbutts Wolf and submits him with la cavernaria.

Thoughts: It was an alright tag match. They pushed that Mesias and Texano had issues and they expanded on it some here. It wasn't anything too wild but there was nothing wrong with this. I was surprised the other Grande Americano didn't get involved.

The crowd chants for Texano Jr. after. El Grande Americano Original then jumps Texano from behind. He sends him into the post shoulder first then ankle locks him on the buckles. El Grande Americano (Kaiser) then comes back out and Grande Original backs off.

Overall thoughts: It was an easy show to watch as usual. It does feel like someone else is booking it though. The last two weeks have been kind of weak storyline wise and just mostly wrestling only. We haven't seen much of El Ojo, Dom or Mini Vikingo lately and I'd like to know why. I would give this a 6 out of 10 and I thought it was good.
