Marigold 10/24/2024 Fantastic Adventure Day 7

The last show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2024/10/marigold-10202024-fantastic-adventure.html

CHIAKI & Myla Grace vs. Komomo Minami & Minami Yuuki

KM = Komomo Minami

Chi isn't wearing her facepaint here and is more smiley and happy than usual. She dances with Myla during her entrance. Chi slaps KM on the handshake. KM forearms Myla then dropkicks her. Myla shotgun dropkicks her. Myla and Chi hit stereo shoulderblocks. Myla jumps over Chi's back and double stomps KM.

Myla and KM hit stereo facekicks through the ropes. Chi slams KM for 2. Chi takes a double arm throw by her opponents then a double basement dropkick to the back. KM armbars Chi. KM flatliners Chi off the ropes then rolls over her back and ddt's her for 2.

Chi hits a rolling double spear on her opponents. Myla sitout slams Yuuki then does a corkscrew press off the top and pins Yuuki.

Thoughts:
It was basically a rookie style match and wasn't that good. Yuuki had a better showing than usual and is expanding her arsenal some. Myla didn't exactly look that much better then rookies.

Misa Matsui vs. Naho Yamada

This is Naho's Marigold debut. She's from ActWresGirl'Z along with half the roster. Naho sings her way to the ring. She teamed with Misa in AWG.

They lock up. Misa wristlockcs her then Naho wristlocks her. Misa reverses it. Misa hammerlocks her. Naho side headlocks her then side headlock takeovers her. Misa headscissors her and Misa rolls her up. They trade armdrags and sweeps.

Misa hair throws Naho then foot chokes her on the ropes. Misa hair throws her again  and ties her up in the ropes. Misa then knees her in the back for 2. Misa crabs her and Naho ropebreaks.

Naho backrolls and rolls her up for 2. Misa flying knees her for 2. Misa top rope dropkicks her for 2. Misa his a ki krusher and wins.

Thoughts: It was a bit weird as they were treating this as Naho's wrestling debut because ActWres said they were not wrestling even though they obviously are. It was an acceptable undercard match.  They worked okay together and had no issues here. I don't like Naho losing on her debut but it's not surprising.

Kouki Amarei & Utami Hayashishita vs. Chika Goto & Rea Seto

No idea why Goto and Kouki are on opposite sides here. Goto and Kouki shake hands. Rea wants in first against Utami. They lock up. Utmai wristlocks her and Rea reverses it. Utami side headlock takeovers her and Rea headscissors her. Rea dropkicks Utami multiple times and gets nowhere with it.

Rea hits chest forearms then takes a basement dropkick. Rea is double shouldered over. Kouki hair throws Rea then pulls her hair around the ropes. Kouki hair throws her and slams her.

Utami slams Rea for 2. Rea hits chest forearms. Utami stomps Rea's back then Rea backslides her for 2. Chika get in and facekicks Utami. Chika gets in Kouki's face and takes a forearm for it. Chika lariats both opponents in the corner then hip attacks both in the corner.

Kouki takes a chest kick + dropkick combo then Utami is slammed on top of Kouki. Rea is then slammed on top of Kouki. Kouki boots Rea over then dominators her. Rea crucifixes Kouki for 2. Utami hits a double dropkick. Utami amoan drops Rea then Kouki does a nice bridge pin on Rea for 2.

Kouki top rope 180 splashes Rea and wins.

Thoughts: They didn't play up the Chika vs Kouki stuff at all unfortunately when they had an easy storyline with that. Rea dropkicked her own partner to break a hold which was weird but looked okay otherwise. It was about average.

Chika gets on the mic after and says they lost. She says she's leaving Marigold for a month due to injury and says she will be back. She tells Kouki to do what she wants for a month. Kouki gets on the mic and says there's a lot she wants to do. She says she will do the things she wants and likes. She tells her to watch from the outside as she gets bigger.

Kouki then has words for Utami but tells her she will say it later.

Thoughts: There was a rumor going around that Chika was going to retire or leave Marigold. Someone did technically get that right, but it's only for a month. Something seems like it's going on though.

Passion Injection Match - Nanae Takahashi vs. Nao Ishikawa

They pull each other by the hair and slap each other. They then hair throw each other and shoulder battle. NT knocks her over. Nao hits forearms outside. NT fires back and they bang each other's heads off the seats. NT slaps her and NT bangs Nao's head off the chair. NT puts out two chairs and they slap each other.

Nao angel's wings her for 2. Nao pounds on her and gets lariated for 2. NT headbutts her then lariats her over twice for the win.

Thoughts: It was fine but Nao didn't really fire up here as much as she should have. I wanted a bit extra from Nao for this one. She did what she was supposed to though but the outcome was obvious after a while.

NT grabs her by the hair after and stands over her. Nao slaps her multiple times

Nao asks if that's all the passion she had. Nao slaps her around harder while yelling "passion". Nao bows with her after, throws her out and they grab each other by the hair as they walk out.

Hum gets on the stage and does a diving headscissors, banging her own head off the floor. NS takes longer to get in than Hum does and Hum dropkicks her when she gets in. NS high kicks her then fisherman's suplexes her for 2.

NS does an octopus on her. Hum backslides her then la magistrals her. Hum bridges her for 2. Hum spinning headscissors her. Hum misses a top rope splash and NS crucifix bombs her. NS hits a top rope double knee drops and wins.

Thoughts: It wasn't a good Marigold debut for Hummingbird. She botched her one big spot which screwed up all the flow and heat of this and the rest of her offense didn't look much better.

NS gets on the mic after. She says that was dangerous and she lost consciousness half way through it. She says Misa Matsui wants the next shot and Misa comes in. Misa asks if she's okay and NS says it was pretty bad. Misa challenges her for 11/2. Nat accepts the challenge.

Mai takes a double fisherman's suplex. Kiz fisherman suplexes Mai for 2. Mirai hits a double lariat. Mai and Mirai go for a double team but Kiz moves. Mai then facekicks Mirai anyway. Mirai kicks her back and they argue. Kiz takes a double backdrop.

Kiz takes an AA then Mai top rope elbow drops Kiz for 2. Yuz superkicks Mai and Kiz rolls up Mai for 2. Kiz hits re:dream on Mai for 2. Mai dropkicks Kiz. Kiz takes a lariat + flying knee combo. Mia STF's Kiz and Yuz breaks it up.

Mirai and Mai hit stereo suplexes at 15 minutes. Kiz and Yuz take a double STO together. Yuz is then put in a crab while Kiz is put in an STf. Mai then taps out Kiz.

Thoughts: I didn't like Mai facekicking Mirai on purpose. There was no reason for that and it wasn't believable. I didn't love the finish either as Mai didn't really build up the STF finish. I liked the match otherwise though. The rookies got a lot offense in and they teased them pulling off the upset well before the vets put them down. It was a good match.

Mai gets on the mic after. Mai says she can feel their energy but they are far from taking the tag belts. Mai says let's fight again together in the future. Mai thanks everyone for coming. Mai says they have had problems but they are still together.

Miku hits head kicks and tiger drivers her for 2. Miku hits another styles clash and wins.

Thoughts:
It was an okay match here with it mostly being based around strikes. It wasn't the best they could have done or an epic but they did okay with it. I could have done without the styles clash on the apron as it didn't add much.

Marigold World Title Match - Sareee (c) vs. Bozilla

Boz shoves her and Sare waistlocks her. They trade chest forearms and Boz bodyblocks her. Sare does a nasty looking spin kick right above Boz's ear. Boz corner splashes her then pop-up shoves her. Boz stomps and foot chokes her. Boz then does a normal choke.

Sare is sent into the seats then chaired. Sare gets busted open and Boz poses for a photo. Boz rams her int othe post. Boz piledrivers her for 2. Boz hits a side pendulum slam then she walks on her. Boz 2nd rope moonsaults her for 2.

Sare fires up and hits a headbutt flurry. Boz lariats her over then sitout powerbombs her for 2. Boz brings a table in. Boz takes a sunset bomb onto a table. Sare double stomps her and step up enzugiri's her. Sare cradles her for 2 then uranages her on her shoulder. Sare armbars her and Boz taps out.

Thoughts:
It was a great match. Sareee bleeding really helped this one. I don't know if anyone has bled in Marigold before so it really felt special when it happened. It was a smart match here with Boz establishing her size early. Sare then fought back and worked the arm. Sare sent her through a table to even some things up then armbarred her to win which worked since she was working the arm. Boz could have beat her up a little more but the structure was good and they did this well.

Sare says Boz is world level after, so beating her means she is also top of the world. Sare says Boz is her rival and thanks her. They shake hands after and a fan yells "thank you Bozilla".

Nanae Takahashi comes out. She says today's match was a good one but she thinks she is greater and has more passion. Sareee says she's ready anytime and says whether there's more or less passion is up to Nanae. Sareee accepts the challenge. NT says she won't lose when it comes to passion or strength.

Sareee says she's the outsider fighting on the inside. She says she will keep proving she's the only one on top.

Overall thoughts: It was a good show from Marigold. The main was great but my expectations for it were higher than what we got. Miku/Nagisa was fine but didn't get to the next level. I liked the tag title match. Hummingbird's debut was a disaster. Nanae/Nao was also fine but didn't quite meet my high expectations. Naho had an okay Marigold debut and the Kouki tag was average. I liked this show and would recommend it. I'd give this a 7 out of 10.
