TNA Bound For Glory 2024 10/26/2024
Note - Kaz won the pre-show Call Your Shot gauntlet for a title shot. I have no idea why that was on the pre-show since it was obviously important. I won't be covering it since it was an intergender match.
We are in Detroit, Michigan.
They have a singer named Ilona singing the national anthem.

Vik gets on the post and canadian destroyers him on the apron. Mike hits a flipping fisherman suplex off the top for the win.
Thoughts: They did too much here with canadian destroyers in the ring and on the apron meaning absolutely nothing. They did some cool moves though Vik didn't bust out the whole arsenal here. It was a flippy, indy style match and not something I enjoyed.

Steve topes him with his hands behind his back and running knees him. Josh tombstones Steve for 2. Josh germans Steve. Steve no sells it and headbutts Josh. Josh then ankle locks Steve. Steve passes out due to pain and is tapped out.
Thoughts: The ziptie spot was a neat idea but it looked silly when Josh couldn't put down the man who couldn't his hands. It was longer than it needed to be and a little slow at times. They did beat the crap out of each other though as they had a stiff match here. I liked it as much as I didn't like it.

Thoughts: It was odd that Steph de Lander didn't come out for this. I didn't expect her but she could have added a lot to it. It was a hardcore match with them having to do a lot of set-up between the spots and slowing the match down because of it. There was not a lot but various spots in this one. PCO took some awful bumps on his head here. It was average.
Moose vs Mike Santana
JDC is with Moose. Mike enters through the crowd. They go out early and Mike hits punches and chops. Moose is sent into the rails. Mike facekicks Moose on the rails. Moose is pulled out and Mike topes JDC when Moose moves. Moose apron powerbombs Mike then JDC throws Mike into the steps.

Mike rolls up Moose for 2, takes a facekick then Mike spinning lariats him for the win.
Thoughts: I didn't like the JDC interference here as it should have been a DQ. It was an average match and the finishing run to this wasn't good. It also got more time than it needed. At least Mike won here as they need to establish some new stars but this was an odd way to have Moose lose.

They fight on the buckles. Masha hits headbutts and superplexes her. Masha half-package piledrivers her and wins.
Thoughts: I didn't like this one. It went longer than it needed to. It was slower than it should have been. They did too much. There were no real faces or heels here and the crowd wasn't good. The build up to this was a last minute job that wasn't that good and this was not a great way to end Grace's long reign. I think they tried to have a classic here but this wasn't it.
Ace Steel talks to Mike Bailey before his match. Ace tells him it took him 10 years to get her and says "we believe".
We get a video of Joe Hendry getting ready in the morning and walking around outside. Joe then comes out with a chainsaw, suspenders and a mask, I guess for Halloween.

JBL then lariats him down. Ryan Nemeth confronts JBL then JBL knocks out Ryan with a punch. Nic hits a danger zone. Another ref comes down and Joe kicks out at 2.
Joe stops a superkick and Nic superkicks him. Nic hits a danger zone and wins.
Thoughts: This is why TNA is TNA and why it stands where it does on the wrestling totem pole. Yeah, the channel they are on sucks, but screwing the fans out of the big happy moment has been the priority since the Jarrett days. The whole route to get here sucked with Moose beating Nic for no reason then losing to Nic in a multi-man match for the title in match where Joe could have maybe won. They teased that Joe could pull it off again here but again, he fails. Joe's TNA's biggest star. You have to be a total idiot to try to screw with that yet TNA has done it twice now. The decision here was absolute garbage and would have been the worst of the year if not for WWE trying to do Rock vs Roman until the fans complained.
The match wasn't that good as expected. Joe's not a good in-ring guy and doesn't really get the pacing of a match. Nic's pretty vanilla and there was a bunch of shenanigans going on with Kaz and JBL. I don't know where they go from here and I honestly don't even care. This was another classic LOLTNA moment.
Nic and Kaz argue after.
They show some clips of the TNA Hall of Fame inductions of Bob Ryder and Rhino. Santino puts them over.
They also announce some upcoming shows.
TNA World Tag Team Title Full Metal Mayhem Match - The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards) (c) vs. The Hardys (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy) vs. ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey)
The weapons (including some tables) and the mat are all painted Jeff Hardy style.

Brian has a chair thrown at him by Jeff. Eddie's head is banged off the seats by Matt. Matt chairs Eddie and Ace sets up a table. Brian is put on it and Ace top rope splashes Brian through it.
Matt climbs a ladder and legdrops Eddie through a table. Bey and Jeff trade shots. Bey takes a twist of fate into a neckbreaker by The Hardy's. The Hardy's climb a ladder together and get pushed into the ropes. Bey jumps off Ace's back to euro Jeff. Jeff is tripped into a chair then gets his face double stomped into it.
Matt takes a double enzugiri from ABC. Matt is put on a ladder on the 2nd rope and Bey top rope double stomps him off the top. Jeff hits ABC with a ladder. Jeff has a special ladder that can be extended into a longer ladder. Jeff takes a double suplex on that ladder. Ace tries to climb the special ladder with help from Bey but Jeff breaks it up and the ladder goes into the ropes.
The Hardy's set up a ladder and put the special ladder inside of it, making a bridge on the ropes. Bey and Matt climb the ladder. Ace and Jeff climb on the bridged special ladder with chairs. Bey and Matt get chaired. Ace and Jeff duel chairs. Ace and Jeff then fall onto the bridged ladder together.
The System use chairs on their opponents. The System set up tables. Brian chairs Matt. Matt and Jeff take side effects off apron through tables. Ace hits shots on Brian then takes a chair and a spear. Bey chairs Eddie and Brian. Brian takes the 1-2-Sweet and the fold by ABC.
Eddie blue thunders Bey. Eddie and Ace fight on the ladder. Bey does an assisted springboard cutter on Eddie while he's on the ladder. Ace bounces the ladder closer to the tag titles. Bey is stuck hanging from the titles when the ladder is moved. Brian climbs the ladder and spears him as he hangs in the air.
Eddie is hit with a chair by Matt and takes a twist of fate with the chair on his head. Jeff hits twists of fates on Brian. Jeff has an apron angled from the floor to the apron. Jeff tries to slide down it with a chair but it doesn't work and he just dropkicks Brian. Jeff chairs Brian.
Brian is put on a table and Jeff climbs a ladder. Jeff hits a swanton on Brian off the ladder through tables and appears to hit his head off the ladder in the process. Ace climbs the ladder and Alisha Edwards comes out and pushes him off into the ropes. Alisha takes off her neckbrace. Matt comes in the ring and hits a twist of fate on Alisha.
Matt climbs a ladder and takes kendo stick shots from Eddie. Eddie climbs a ladder and has chairs thrown at him by The Hardy's. He then gets double powerbombed through a ladder outside. The Hardy's then climb the ladder and grab the belts to win.
Thoughts: It was a long and slow ladder match. One team was always on the side of this one selling. There was a lot of breaks between the various spots and it honestly was boring at times. They covered The Hardy's weaknesses well here and they did a bunch of a big spots for this one. The heat suffered some for this as the crowd was down about Joe losing in the prior match. I liked it overall but this was not a classic original TLC ladder match. I'm not really surprised by The Hardy's winning. What else were they going to do?
Overall thoughts: It was a long PPV at 3 hours and 20 minutes. Joe Hendry not winning the title was the big story here in what was a classic LOLTNA moment. Most of the matches on this show went too long and suffered some in quality because of it. I probably liked the main event the best but it was not a perfect match. I wouldn't recommend this one and I can't see anyone whose been watching the show regularly not come out feeling disappointed. The show was average overall and I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
