WOW Women of Wrestling 10/26/2024 Season 5, Episode 7

Jessie Jones comes out. She tells David McLane she wants the reward money. Dave confirms he will see the proof tonight. Jessie shows Dave her phone and shows him a video or photo. She says the woman stole her bourbon too. Dave says he has the evidence and says one of the people who attacked The Beat is Vickie Lynn McCoy. Dave says McCoy is fired and gives Jessie the money. Jessie asks Dave to leave her out of this after.

Thoughts: We had heard for months that McCoy and The Tonga Twins quit and I guess this is how they are addressing McCoy leaving.

We cut to the Fab Four's dressing room. McCoy isn't there. Pink and MSH are shocked she is fired. Lana blames it on AI and they call Jones a hillbilly.

Animal Instinct (Goldie Collins and Catarina Jinx) vs Princess Aussie and Tormenta

Aussie and Cat go at it. Aussie waistlocks her and Cat wristlocks her. Cat knee drops her arm. Aussie armdrags her. Aussie hits a corner splash and suplexes her for 2. Aussie flying headscissors Goldie. Goldie takes a double hiptoss for 2.

Aussie rolls her up and sliding lariats her. Tor gets double teamed in the corner and Goldie side slams her. Cat does her unusual wraparound legdrop. Cat boots Tor in the corner. Goldie headbusters Tor for 2. Tor's head is banged off the mat. Tor hits shots to Goldie's gut.

Tor misses a corner charge then has her head banged off the buckles. Goldie la silla's Tor's neck on the ropes. Cat boots Goldie off the apron on accident. Aussie comes in and knocks over cat a few times. Aussie superkicks her for 2.

Goldie boots Tor then is sent out. Tor lariats her on the floor. Aussie blocks a hiptoss from Cat and backslides her for the win.

Thoughts: It was a shorter match here. The finish was a bit sudden and it was average. Goldie had a better showing than usual here.

Tiki Chamorro and Pep Riley vs The Alliance (BK Rhythm and Gigi Gianni)

BK raps before the match, calling Pep "pipsqueak" and Tiki "coconut head".

Tiki takes Gigi down then snapmares her. Pep basement dropkicks Gigi for 2. Pep side headlock takeovers her and Gigi headscissors her. Gigi pulls Pep down backwards. Pep takes a double hiptoss drop for 2. Gigi chinlocks Pep. Pep bulldogs Gigi off the casadora.

Tiki gets the hot tag in and bangs the heels' heads off each other. Tiki headbutts BK then spears her. Pep is caught on a crossbody by Gigi. Pepe then takes a neckbreaker + emerald flowsion combo and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a quick one here. Pep got beat up on, Tiki got the hot tag then Pep got put down. There wasn't much else to this. It was fine for what it was.

Pep is in the back. She tells Tiki it's okay then throws her bow down. Pep then pouts. Chainsaw and her sister Angelica Dante walk past. Chain gives Pep her bow.

Chainsaw vs Brittany Bay

Chain scares Bay to start. Bay tries to thesz press her but is caught. Bay dropkicks her low then Chain blocks a facebuster. Bay is laid on the top rope and Chain chops her gut. Chain hits a corner splash then stands on her gut. Chain does a half-straightjacket on her then pulls on the nostrils and mouth.

Bay's head is banged off the buckles and Chain chokes her. Chain hits corner spears. Chain catches Bay's crossbody and puts her in tree of woe. Chain takes off Bay's eye lash and pulls her down. Chain foot chokes her.

Bay double boots her out of the corner and 2nd rope crossbodies her. Chain chokeslams her and pins her.

Thoughts: Chain's offense was a little weak here and didn't look like it could have possibly hurt at times here. That brought this one down but they got the idea of it right otherwise. I popped for Chain pulling Bay's eye lash off.

The Classmaster and Samantha Smart come out. Smart says Dave should have just asked her if he wanted to know who attacked Beast. Smart says Jessie Jones only named one attacker but says there's another. Dave says he gave the reward money away already. Smart says if she can reveal the other attacker, Dave should give The Classmaster another shot at The Beast's title. Dave says he'll agree to it if Classmaster can go beat another former WOW champ first if she wants the shot. That champ is Santana Garrett. Smart says make it the main event and she will accept. They agree to it.

Smart says the second attacker is The Disciplinarian. Dave says Smart threw Dis under the bus and she will be fired too. Smart said she already took care of it and suspended Disciplinarian indefinitely.

Thoughts: This was interesting. Disciplinarian hadn't been around for a while so this was a way to explain her leaving WOW.

WOW Tag Titles - Miami's Sweet Heat (Lindsay and Lori Carlson vs The Mighty Mights (Sugar and Spice)

The Mights take boots to start and Spice is thrown down by the hair. Lana Starr is on commentary. Lindsay has the blonde hair and she chokes spice on the ropes. Spice hits shots to the gut then Spice takes a double Japanese armdrag. Lana calls The Mights "Salt and Pepper".

Lori corner lariats Spice. Spice back elbows her. Spice is caught on a 2nd rope crossbody and backbreakered. Spice knees Lori in the head then headscissors her. Spice takes a double team on the ropes.

Lana says good riddance to Vickie Lynn McCoy being gone. Spice takes a double suplex for 2. Linday foot chokes Spice. Lindsay hits a world's strongest slam on Spice then rams her back into the corners.  Spice fights out and and snapmares Lindsay off the casadora. Lindsay misses a butt drop. Lori and Sugar get in. Sugar hits some chest forearms and double axe handles her chest.

Sugar flying headscissors Lori. Sugar crucifixes Lori for 2. Spice comes off the top and hits a double crossbody. Sugar is rocket launched but caught by Lindsay and rammed into the buckles. Sugar takes a top rope elbow drop + side slam and is pinned by Lindsay.

Thoughts: The Mights didn't have the cleanest offense here. They didn't get a ton of it in either. The heels' finisher looked good here and they won as expected. This needed a little bit longer of a finishing stretch and was just average.

Overall thoughts: The matches were all on the shorter end of things and none of them were that great. We had a lot of developments though with The Disciplinarian and Vickie Lynn McCoy getting fired. Samantha Smart also got The Classmaster a title shot. Pep Riley and Chainsaw also appear to be forming an interesting friendship. It was an easy to watch episode and I liked it. This episode was fine.
