We are in Queretaro, Mexico. Corey Graves, JBL and Rey Mysterio are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive and hang out.

El Ojo talk in the back. Dorian says Penta can only beat Vikingo by cheating. Dorian says Vikingo will face Wagner on 5/30 for the AAA Latin American Title. Vikingo says Wagner's legacy is trash and says he's a nepo baby. Vikingo says he will be Latin American champ and Dorian will be GM.

El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. then walks in, taps Dorian on the shoulder and asks what Dorian knows about family. 

El Hijo del Vikingo vs Mini Vikingo

Hijo throws his jacket on Mini and stomps on him before the bell. Hijo dropkicks Mini then stands on him in the corner. Hijo corner basement dropkicks Mini then sits on his head on the ropes. Hijo basement dropkicks him in the back of the head for 2. 

Hijo hits forearms on Mini. Hijo still has his jacket on and he camel clutches Mini. Hijo bodyscissors takesdowns Mini. Hijo ties up Mini's arms and bangs his face off the mat. Hijo stands on Mini for 2. Mini slaps him then Hijo slaps back. Mini pump kicks him. Hijo spinning heel kicks him then meteora's him through the ropes, sending him to the floor. 

Mini is sent into the steps. Hijo suplexes Mini on the ramp. Hijo throws Mini on a powerbomb onto the ramp. JBL calls for the match to be stopped. Hijo picks up Mini on the pin attempt in the ring. Hijo slaps him and tells him to slap back. Hijo then pounds on him more. Hijo misses a corner charge. Mini corkscrew kicks him. Mini toyota rolls him for 2. Mini hits a wild tornillo into a crucifix driver on the floor. 

Mini springboards inside but Hijo gets his knees up. Hijo corkscrew kicks him. Hijo powerbombs Mini for 2. Hijo hits mounted shots and chokes him. Hijo takes the 2nd turnbuckle pad off. Mini sends Hijo into the exposed buckle. Mini top rope 450's Hijo for 2.

Hijo overhead belly to belly suplexes Mini into the ref, sending the ref out. Mini hurricanrana's Hijo but the ref is down. The bell rings, but nobody knows who rang it. Hijo lariats Mini. They go up top. Hijo does a top rope uranage but again, the ref is down and can't count. Hijo seems to have hurt his arm on the top rope uranage. 

Hijo grabs a chair. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. runs down and michinoku drivers hijo on the chair. Mini hits a 630 phoenix splash on Hijo on the chair and pins him!

Thoughts: Yeah, this was great. Hijo did a great job of whooping Mini. Mini's tornillo crucifix driver to the outside was amazing and Mini pulling off the upset to win was big. The commentators were fantastic here too and really sold Mini's beating well. I really liked this one.

Omos comes in and lariats Wagner and Mini after. Omos rams Mini into the post and throws Wagner in. Omos lariats Wagner and chops him in the corner. 

Wagner's brother Galeno del Mal comes out and hits Omos with a chair. The Wagner's double headbutt Omos then double lariat him out of the ring.

Thoughts: It was said that Galeno got signed and he debuted here. I like Galeno more than Wagner as he's a fat guy that can do some impressive flying. 

Laredo Kid vs. Rey Fenix

Kid was on WWE Main Event this week.

Kid side headlocks him and shoulders him over. Rey kips up and flying armdrags him but Kid headflips out. Kid flying headscissors Rey and they stand off. Kid trips him and they stand off. Rey walks up the ropes and springboard corkscrew armdrags him. 

Kid lariats Rey for 2. Kid kicks Rey in the back then slaps him in the back of the neck. Kid basement dropkicks Rey for 2. Rey hits shots. Kid sitout tilt-a-whirl slams him for 2. Kid top rope splashes Rey for 2.

Rey high kicks him out of the corner. Rey rope walk kicks him for 2. Rey enzugiri's Kid off the apron. Rey bottom rope springboard diving headscissors him outside. Rey double jump springboard moonsaults Kid for 2. Rey springboard spin kicks Kid. 

Kid flying forearms Rey in the corner then slams him. Kid bottom rope corkscrew moonsaults him. Kid misses a 2nd rope moonsault then canadian destroyer ddt's him for 2. Kid slaps Rey. Rey rolls into a cutter on him for 2. They chop each other on their knees then get up and trade forearms. Kid is up top and is hit with a euro. Rey hits a mexican muscle buster and pins Kid.

Thoughts: They overdid it a bit here with the canadian destroyer ddt not finishing this. It was mostly flying and cool moves. Fenix really doesn't feel like all that big of a star right now and if you went into this blind, you wouldn't see much of a difference here starpower wise between these two. 

Rey tries to help Kid up after. Kid pushes him away. Kid then clutches his AAA Cruiserweight Title. The fans throw coins in the ring as they enjoyed the match. Rey offers a handshake but Kid rams him with his shoulder. 

They do a contract signing for El Grande Americano Original vs El Grande Americano II in a mask match. They have Dorian Roldan and the female interviewer there. 

Both Grande's are brought out. Dorian says his family put the best lucha matches on and says the most significant is a mask vs mask match. He says the loser has to take off their mask and reveal their identity. Grande Original has a letter from his attorney. It says Grande Original will not face Grande II unless they accept his petition. The petition says there should not be any physical attacks until 5/30 and if there is, the attacking wrestler loses his mask before the bout. Grande II is asked if he's okay with that. Grande II signs the contract. Dorian says security can leave since the contract has been signed (Grande Original didn't sign it). Dorian says there's another clause - Grande Original said that the female interviewer (Andrea Bazarte) attacked him and says the female interviewer must leave AAA (she is Grande II's girlfriend). Grande Original asks that she be removed from AAA. The female interviewer agrees if it's required for Grande II to take Grande Original's mask. 

The female interviewer leaves. Grande Original signs the contract and throws the pen at Grande II. Grande II says Grande Original has no idea what he has done. Grande II then gets jumped by Julius and Brutus Creed, who were Gable's/Grande's partners in WWE. Grande II then takes a double spinebuster through the table. The Creed's then hold up a US flag. Los Americanos then come out to help Grande II. 

Thoughts: WWE/AAA made 2 big errors with this segment. The first was that a lot of this was built around Grande Original accusing Andrea of attacking him. They didn't explain why this was significant - Andrea is Grande II's girlfriend. They didn't explain this on TV and it came off as a very random segment without knowing that. I'm sure they'll explain it next week, but the segment didn't work without that key bit of information. I also thought that Grande Original throwing his pen at Grande II should count as a physical attack. Maybe it will, but it hasn't yet.  

Overall thoughts: We started off hot with a great Mini Vikingo vs Hijo del Vikingo match. Laredo Kid/Rey Fenix overdid it in their match and they had an indy style bout. The closing segment had issues as they forgot to mention that Grande II is dating the interviewer, which was the key part to the segment. They may have also technically broken the no-contact clause already that they agreed to when Grande Original threw his pen at Grande II. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 as the main event segment really got botched bad and messed things up. I enjoyed the show overall though.
