WWF Superstars of Wrestling 9/26/1992
Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/02/wwf-superstars-of-wrestling-9191992.html
Next week's how is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/03/wwf-superstars-of-wrestling-1031992.html
We are in Hershey, PA. Mr. Perfect and Vince McMahon are our hosts. Perfect has a Hershey Kiss hat on. He says Hershey will be known as the place Macho Man kissed the title goodbye to Ric Flair.
The British Bulldog vs. Barry Hardy
Davey pushes him off the lock up twice. Davey shoulders him over. Davey hits a big slam then a suplex. Davey hits a corner lariat then a running powerslam for the win.
Thoughts: It was your usual squash here with the jobber getting nothing in and Davey winning in short fashion.
WWF Update
Mean Gene shills some new WWF video games. We see clips of Macho Man and The Ultimate Warrior forming The Ultimate Maniacs last week.
Papa Shango vs John Rechner
I'm pretty sure John is Balls Mahoney.
Papa points at John. John goes down and holds his knee. Papa stomps the knee. Bret Hart does an inset promo. Bret says he didn't lose the IC due to Papa's curse. He said the match could have gone either way and says he's wrong. He tells Papa to forget it if he thinks he's afraid of him.
Papa headbutt drops John's knee then shoulderbeakers him. Papa then gets the win.
Thoughts: Papa injuring John's knee by pointing at it was the usual hocus pocus crap and it was a quick and not too exciting squash.
Papa shoots fireworks out of his stick after.
WWF Event Center
Sean Mooney hypes up the 10/3/92 Boston Garden show.
Kamala's crew does a promo. Harvey says Kamala is teaming with Razor and Nailz. He said he got him two great partners. He says Warrior/Taker/Boss Man are great individual wrestlers but will be a beaten team.
The Ultimate Warrior does a promo. He doesn't desire or take weaknesses from anyone. He says he walks into the trios match as one-half of The Ultimate Maniacs. He says The Macho Maniacs protect them also.
The Komet Kid vs Barry Horowitz
This is The Komet Kid's/Max Moon's WWF Superstars debut. Kid shoots flares out of his wrist guards. Kid then pretends to jetpack up the steps.
Kid does rolls and hiptosses him into a dropkick. Kid hits a water wheel drop and armlocks Barry. Kid monkey flips him then armdrags him into an armlock. Kid legdrops the arm. Barry jawbreakers him.
Barry runs into Kid's boot in the corner. Kid 2nd rope twisting bulldogs him. Kid hits a spinning heel kick then does one in the corner. Kid finlay rolls him and pins him.
Thoughts: This was Paul Diamond under the hood here. He had a nice costume and pretty everything he did had an extra roll or twist on it. It was something different and you could tell Paul was trying to do what he thought a high flyer or luchador would do. He did a poor job of it though.
Razor Ramon vs Nick Tarentino
Razor boots and stomps Nick. Razor throws Nick. Razor chokeslams him. Razor boots and slaps Nick around. Razor boots him in the corner. Razor 2nd rope backdrops him. Razor then folds him with a razor's edge and wins.
Thoughts: Razor dominated here and Nick did a good job in making Razor look big and bad. Nick had pink and black on with long dark hair, making him look like a Bret Hart knock-off.
WWF Event Center
Sean says Superstars will be seen at a different time next week. He then shills the 10/3/92 Boston Garden show.
Jim Duggan does a promo. He says people say to whisper to get someone's attention but that's not his way. Jim says that's not his way. He says sometimes it's gonna be a fight and Repo Man is going down.
Shawn Michaels does a promo with Sherri. He says he's thrilled British Bulldog made the best of his IC Title shot. He says he's the #1 contender to it and will get what he wants - the IC Title.
The British Bulldog does a promo. He says Shawn look into his belt instead of a mirror as that is the closest he will get to it. Davey says he will turn him every which way but loose.
The Big Boss Man vs Bruce Mitchell
Bruce wristlocks him and gets hit. Boss back body drops him. Boss hits headbutts and punches. Boss gutwrench slams Bruce. Boss uppercuts him then leg lariats him on the ropes. Boss hits him in the back then Bruce goes down after being thrown into the corner. Boss hits a sidewalk slam and wins.
Thoughts: It was all squash like always. It wasn't one of the more interesting squashes though and Bruce didn't pose much of a challenge here.
Boss handcuffs Bruce to the ropes after.
Mean Gene Okerlund interviews Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect on the stage. Ric says he rules the WWF. He says him and Perfect walked off with all the fame and the fortune. Perfect says The Ultimate Maniacs should be called The Ultimate Losers. Perfect says they are a leg up on all the competition, taking a dig at Macho Man's injured knee. Perfect says everything is as it should be - perfect.
The Nasty Boys vs Akita Webb and Bobby Perez
Saggs stomps BP's foot then lariats him. Saggs forearms him over then Knobbs hits an elbow's drop.
The Nasty Boys and Hart do an inset promo. The Nasties say they are the #1 contenders for the tag titles and it's due to Hart. BP takes a pit stop from Saggs. Knobbs drives Webb down by the head. The announcers question where Money Inc stands if The Nasty's are the #1 contenders. Saggs hits a legdrop off the buckles onto Webb. Knobbs corner splashes Webb. Webb takes a powerslam and a top rope Saggs elbow drop. Saggs picks up the win.
Thoughts: It was the usual Nasty's squash. I thought Vince wondering whether The Nasty's or Money Inc should be the #1 contenders was a good story here and it does make you wonder.
The Nasty's see themselves giving out a pit stop on the tron after and Knobbs says to get ready for pity city.
WWF Event Center
The Mountie and Jimmy Hart do a promo and mock Tatanka's yell. Mountie says Tatanka is going nowhere with that especially when he meets The Mountie. He says he always gets his man and is the only law and order.
The Big Boss Man does a promo. He said he's happy to have Taker and Warrior as his partners. He said he told his partners his main mission in life is to take care of Nailz. He says Nailz will find out that he doesn't play silly games and tells him to get ready to serve hard time.
Vince and Perfect run down next week's show to end this one.
Overall thoughts: There wasn't a lot going on here outside of The Komet Kid making his Superstars debut. Summerslam just happened and it's a bit early to start hyping up Survivor Series, so it was a slower week. The matches were all squashes as usual and nothing you needed to see. I wouldn't recommend this one.
