Will Ospreay vs Blake Christian

This is Will's return after being out due to injury. He has a bunch of new ugly tattoos.

BC stalls outside to start. They trade some basic holds. Will is shouldered over and kips up. Will chops him down. Will flying headscissors him. BC rolls him into a splash on the floor outside. BC tries it again inside but Will gets his knees up. Will running facekicks him then slingshot plancha's him outside.

BC corkscrew topes him through the ropes. Will's neck is pulled over the rail top. Will springboard forearms BC off the rail. Will springboard forearms him. BC reverse ddt's him on the knee then hits a ddt. BC stomps him. BC pulls Will's head around the middle rope then he cranks on the head.

BC knees him in the gut and Will step up enzugiri's him. Will handspring corkscrew kicks him for 2. Will release suplexes him then misses a standing corkscrew moonsault. BC step up stomps him. BC then topes under the buckles into a ddt on the floor. BC springboard 450's Will for 2. 

BC handspring cutters him for 2. BC pumping knees him then hits a standing shiranui for 2. BC goes for the hidden blade and takes a back elbow. Will then hits a hidden blade and pins him.

Thoughts: It was fine. We got some flying, Blake worked the neck he should have and Will picked up the win before they went too wild here. This was a good choice for an opener.

Will gets on the mic after. He says the biggest difference between him and Mox is that he doesn't need a weapon to snap someone's neck. He says he can do it with his bare hands. 

Jon Moxley comes out with Wheeler Yuta. Will goes after them. Will throws trash cans at them. PAC pump kicks Will in the ring then does the brutalizer. Refs and security then come to break it up.

The Bang Bang Gang come out and Will jumps off the ramp onto Pac. He chases him to the back. 

The Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson and Ace Austin) vs The Death Riders (Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta)

Mox sends Ace into the rails. Yuta hits punches on JR then Mox is sent into the rails. JR boots Yuta and corner lariats him. JR hits mounted corner punches. Yuta takes a double hiptoss then Ace basement dropkicks him. JR sentons Yuta. 

Mox lariats JR and hits mounted punches. They chop each other and JR suplexes him. Ace hits chops on Mox. Ace trips him and kicks him. Ace basement dropkicks Mox. Ace death valley drivers Yuta. Ace fosbury flops Mox outside. Yuta sends Ace into the steps. 

We go to PiP break and return. Mox texas cloverleafs him then STF's and crossfaces him. Axe slingshot sunset flips Yuta but Yuta rolls through. JR is tagged in. He hits shoulderblocks on Yuta then atomic drops him. JR hits chops then lariats him. 

JR hits forearm jabs on Yuta. Daniel Garcia gets on the apron and Austin Gunn hits him. JR forearms Yuta then powerbombs him for 2. Ace twisting swantons but Yuta gets his knees up. Mox gets in. Ace knees him in the face. Ace helicopter kicks him. Yuta flying knees Ace. Mox hits a cutter on JR then Yuta topes JR. Mox death rider ddt's Ace and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a solid match. The Gang lost as expected. I'm not sure why they did this other than to get Mox on TV. Yuta's new look is a real downgrade and makes him look like Gedo in trunks.

We get a Kenny Omega promo after Revolution. He says Swerve is a danger to him and Brody but not himself. He says if Swerve wants to get dangerous, let's play a game of Risk. He says put his #1 contendership on the line in a match.

Coffin Match - Gabe Kidd vs. Darby Allin

Gabe is in the parking lot. DA drives a car at home and then jumps on him. They fight and DA is slammed and powerbombed on the hood. DA eye rakes him. DA covers a towel in windex and shoves it in Gabe's mouth. DA then puts Gabe in the trunk of a car. DA then drives up a hill of trash and flips the car. DA then pops the hood and Gabe falls out. DA puts him on a box on wheels and rolls him into the arena.

They head to ringside. DA pulls out a straightjacket and a skateboard. Gabe is sat in a chair and slapped. DA puts Gabe in a straightjacket. DA goes to hit him with a skateboard and Gabe low blows him. Gabe sends him into the steps. Gabe bites DA's head and gets his blood on his face. The coffin is slammed on DA's fingers.

We go to PiP break and return. DA bites Gabe on the top rope. DA hits a code red off the buckles. DA ties the straightjacket up more and Gabe's hands are tied up now. DA does a reverse ddt. DA is crotched up top when Gabe kicks the ref into the ropes. Gabe powerslams DA. Gabe enzugiri's DA while in the straightjacket. He then rams him off the apron to the floor near the casket.

DA bites Gabe's nose. DA hits him with the skateboard several times. DA top rope coffin drops him twice. DA topes him into the casket and the lid falls down on Gabe. DA wins the match.

Thoughts: It was a wild one and the violence was a bit comical at times. I spent most of this wondering where Gabe's buddies were and I can't believe they didn't interfere. It was entertaining and something different, even if it was a bit over the top. I hope this is the end of this feud. They feel like they've been going at it forever now.

Darby tells MJF he's coming after. 

We see Jack Perry getting ready for a bus trip. Luchasaurus is waiting for him. Jack pulls a nut out and a squirrel jumps into hi hand to take it. We then see them at a gas station and see them driving in. 
 
Jack says Jurassic Express has arrived in Fresno. He says he's teaming with 2 guys who are like Brothers to him. The Young Bucks come in. One of The Bucks says Revolution was a rough one and says what kind of examples would they be to their kids if they didn't get up and keep fighting? The one Buck says they will fight Romero and Okada tonight and Luchasaurus says, "b!tch".

Prince Nana does the intro for Swerve Strickland and calls him, "Mr. Dangerous". Swerve sits in a chair in the ring. He says him and Brody King went to war at the PPV. He says the only true winners of war are the ones with power. He says he enjoyed beating him up in his home state but says the power still lies elsewhere. He says he dealt with power all of his life. He says he'd be a 2x champ if it weren't for The Bucks. He says what does power mean if he doesn't have the ability to protect it? 

Swerve says it makes no sense to beat Kenny Omega twice and get nothing for it. Swerve says Kenny's power is interesting to him. He says he wants Kenny's power and wants to block out anyone else who thinks they can get it. Swerve tells Kenny to offer up his EVP status to get a rematch. He says when he beats him, he will become AEW's new EVP.

Mike Bailey is interviewed. He says you can look at some people and know they are a star. Mike says he had to fight and scratch. He says he had to wrestle all over the world to get others to believe in him. He says that mental toughness makes you a star and a winner.

Mark Davis vs. Mike Bailey

Mike is still wearing a Mistico style mask.

Mark misses a charge. Mike pump kicks and dropkicks him. Mike corner facekicks him then hits chest kicks. Mike facekicks Mark off the apron. Mark shoulders him over, slams him and sentons him. Mark chops him down. 

Mike boots him out of the corner and 2nd rope dropkicks him. Mike hits kicks on him then chest kicks him down. Mike running SSP's him for 1. Mike hits facekicks while Mark is on the apron. Mike sweeps Mark on the apron then triangle moonsaults him outside.

We go to PiP break and return. Mark backdrops him. We see Mike took an orange crush on the apron during the break. Mark is kicked while on the 2nd rope. Mike sitout powerbombs him for 2. Mike top rope ssp's him for 2. They slap each other. Mike spinning roundhouse kicks him. 

Mike hits chops and Mark forearms him down. Mark hits knees to the body then chops and lariats him down. Mark powerbombs him for 2. Mark running forearms him in the corner. Mike spinning roundhouse kick him from behind for 2. Mark enzugiri's him. Mark running lariats him. Mark piledrivers him for 2. 

Mike hurricanrana's him for 2 then PK's and standing moonsault double knee's him. Mike spinning high kicks him. Mike hits ultimate weapon and pins him.

Thoughts: I liked what we got here. It was all stiff shots and they didn't overdo it too much. 

We see an MJF promo after Revolution. He says he was in the greatest dog collar, iron man and texas death match of all time. He says he's the greatest AEW champ of all-time and they call him Mr. Revolution. He says adrenaline stops you from feeling pain but it's gone and he feels every bump and bruise. He says it's worth it because he won. MJF says he turned 30 and says Happy Birthday to himself. He says he wants to go down as the GOAT and says he's ahead of schedule. He says only one man will be regarded as the GOAT and it's him. He has the camera man ask him what he will do next and he says he's going to Disney World.

Okada, Trent and Rocky Romero do a promo. Okada laughs at the idea of being The Bucks' and Jack's family. He says he's only loyal to one family, unlike Takeshita, who is shaking hands with Mox. He says he and Roppongi Vice will pick up a win for The Don Callis Family. Rocky says arriba to The Don Callis Family.

No Holds Barred Match - Marina Shafir vs. Mina Shirakawa

Toni Storm was attacked earlier so Mina is taking her place. We clips of it and Toni is down in her dressing room. Marina says what she did or didn't do to Toni isn't your business. She says if Mina wants to suffer the same fate, it's her choice.

Mina swings a barbed wire bat at her and gets her in the leg. Marina hits shots to the gut and slams her. Mina dropkicks her in the knee and low flying knees her. Mina hits kicks to the back and low basement dropkicks her. Mina brings a champagne bucket in with bottles. Marina uranage's her. Marina hits mounted forearms then hip throws her several times. 

We go to break and return. Marina spits champagne at her. Mina slaps her and dropkicks her, sending champagne onto the camera's. Marina kicks her in the gut. Mina la mistica facebusters her. Mina top rope dropkicks her then chairs her. Mina top rope diving slingblades her for 2. Mina chairs her more.

Mina boots her from the ropes. Mina goes for a tornillo and Marina does mother's milk. Mina eye rakes her. They fight on the apron. Marina backdrops her off the apron through a table. Marina of course only gets a 2 count off of that. Marina slaps her multiple times. Mina grabs an empty champagne bottle and hits Marina in the face with it. Mina uraken's her then hits storm zero to win.

Thoughts: Mina winning was a bit of a surprise since Toni and Marina are the ones feuding. It was a hardcore match and one of Mina's better outings as it got her out of her usual shtick. I thought they should have sold the champagne bottle spot a bit more. I liked this.

Andrade El Idolo is interviewed. He says he wants the AEW World Title. The guy who plays Serpentico says he has something for him. It's a briefcase from MJF. Don Callis is then shown on video. Don says he needs him to accept money on behalf of The Family as he is his money man. Idolo asks if they are working with MJF. Don says Darby Allin has become a pest and they are going to take care of him for a lot of money. Don then says he's his money man. Idolo is then given the briefcase and he's not thrilled.

Jack Perry & The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) vs. The Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada, Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta)

Okada ducks Jack's lock up and gives The Buck's middle fingers. Okada eye rakes Jack. Jack flying headscissors him and dropkicks him. Trent and RR are pulled out by The Bucks. Okada faces a triple team and he ays he's sorry. He then takes shots from all 3. A Buck is popped up into a headscissors on Okada. RR takes a flipping neckbreaker + backbreaker combo. Trent takes a sunset flip + german.

A Buck dropkicks RR through the ropes then the other Buck corkscrew flips outside. Jack does a top rope moonsault outside. Jack corner lariats Okada. Jack is double stomped on in the corner. Jack takes a double stomp then an over the back neckbreaker on the knee. 

We go to break and return. Jack hits chops on Okada. Jack rebound lariats him. A Buck flips out of a double hiptoss then walks up the ropes and does a headscissors + armdrag combo. Okada takes a PK from the apron. A Buck hits locomotion northern lights suplexes on RR then double northern lights suplexes RR and Trent. The Bucks hit a senton and a top rope elbow drop on the heels. 

RR euros a Buck and jumping knees him. Trent superkicks RR on accident. The heels hit stereo jumping knees. The Bucks hit stereo sunset flips then do stereo sharpshooters. Jack then stf's Okada.

Jack topes Trent outside. Okada stops a Meltzer driver with a dropkick. Jack takes a sliced bread. Trent flying knees a Buck. A Buck then takes a top rope double stomp + b-driver for 2. The faces bite the heels in the crotch to block tombstones then do triple cradles for 2 counts. RR takes a triple superkick and a BTE Trigger. Jack is thrown into a flying knee on RR. A Buck pins RR.

Thoughts: We've been seeing this match since Day 1 of the company. We knew exactly what it would be and that's what it was and the faces won as expected. They didn't overdo it too much at least and it was okay, but nothing we haven't seen a million times before.

One of The Bucks says tonight is bittersweet. He says they blew it on Sunday and thought the would win at Revolution. He says they had their family watching them and had their kids wearing special entrance gear to see them lose. He says FTR was the better team on Sunday. 

The other Buck says he was too embarrassed to look at his dad in his eye. He says his dad told them to remember who they are and says there's arenas filled with fans who believe in them and love them. The Bucks say they know who they are. They say there isn't a team in the back who will prevent them from getting their AEW Tag Titles for a 4th time.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage come out. Cope says they respect them and said the FTR match was one of the best of all time. He says hey are both too good to hand their heads in embarrassment. Cope says he can relate as FTR attacked his wife. He says his wife is a bad@ss and he hasn't been able to look her in the eye as they thought she needed spinal fusion surgery. Cope says he needed to get back to AEW to rectify the situation. He says the way to do that isn't to break their necks, it's taking what is most important to them and that's the AEW Tag Titles.

Cope says it'll be FTR vs Cope and Cage II at Dynasty for the tag titles. Cage says this is personal for him too. He says winning the tag titles means he makes a ton of extra money and says they get a chance to prove that they are the best team of their own generation and the best team of The Bucks' generation. 

FTR and Big Stoke come out. Stoke goes to talk and is told to shut up. FTR head to the ring. They take a double superkick, a spear and then a low blow from Cage. 

Overall thoughts: It was a good show overall. We had a bunch of fine matches and the stories around them made sense. Darby/Gabe was probably the big highlight here as it was over the top and had some wacky stunts. Mina/Marina oddly had a decent bout. The opener and main were both kept on the shorter end which hid some of the weaknesses of the wrestlers as well. I'd give this a 7 out of 10. I had no real issues with this show.
