We are in El Paso, TX. Excalibur and Tony Schiavone are on commentary.

AEW World Title - MJF (c) vs Kevin Knight

MJF armdrags him and says that's called an armdrag. KK armdrags him. KK hits more armdrags and armlocks him. KK shoulders him over three times. KK reverses an armdrag with one of his own and does an armlock. MJF drops him with a shot. KK hits forearms and boots in the corner. 

KK misses a top rope splash and MJF knees him in the gut. MJF hits him with his crotch. MJF pop up drops him. KK is thrown chest first into the buckles. MJF is sent chest first into the buckles. KK boots him out of the corner and 2nd rope diving lariats him. KK leapfrogs and dropkicks him.

KK slams him then jumping splashes him for 2. MJF rolls out and KK tope con hilos him. MJF knees him in the gut. KK jumping ddt's him for 2. MJF alabama slams him then F-5's him for 2. KK cradles him then backslides him. They trade pin attempts. KK superkicks him. KK suicide dive lariats him outside. 

We go to PiP break and return. KK moonsaults him off the rails. KK is crotched up top. MJF is stuck in tree of woe. KK coast to coast dropkicks him. KK hits a top rope twisting splash but MJF sends the ref into the ropes with his feet. KK gets a 2 count. KK tries another top rope twisting splash but MJF gets his knees up. MJF heatseeker piledrivers him and wins.

Thoughts: MJF won as expected but Kevin gave him a good fight. Kevin did some nice high flying and looked like he belonged in the biggest match of his career. It's the personality and mic work that he needs to work on though and we'll have to see if he can get there or not. It was a good match.

MJF throws the ref out and grabs the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Mike Bailey comes in from behind and superkicks MJF out. 

Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin vs Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors

The fight starts as the heels enter the aisleway. DA is sent into the steps then shotgun dropkicks CC into the rails. CC pounes DA into the rails. Gabe hanging guillotines OC from the steps. Oc stands on the timekeepers table then CC runs up the steps and spears him through the table in a cool spot. DA boots Gabe out of the corner and is flipped with a lariat. Gabe fisherman busters him. 

We go to PiP break and return. DA is sat on the top rope in the middle of the ring and is pushed down to the floor. DA hits slaps on CC then CC slaps back. CC grabs his belt then DA trips CC with his own belt. OC does his stupid weak kicks to the heels. OC double hurricanrana's them. Gabe's head is banged off the buckles as is CC's. OC top rope diving lariats Gabe. OC PK's CC then beachbreaks him.

Gabe hits a hard lariat on OC. OC stunners Gabe and DA code red's Gabe. OC topes Gabe. DA stunners CC then OC spinning ddt's CC. DA coffin drops off the top to the outside. OC orange punches CC and pins him.

Thoughts: I didn't like the heels losing here, especially to OC, who doesn't need it. It was all action here and they kept things moving. I didn't like OC screwing around with the weak kicks but he kept it short thankfully. I liked this. 

David Finlay comes out and hits the OC/Darby with his shillelagh. Darby is then held for a shillelagh shot. The faces are stacked on each other and DF poses with the heels.

Thoughts: I'm surprised to see Finlay here instead of in WWE. I don't think he will stand out much or be a big hit here.

Renee talks to Bandido and Andrade el Idolo in the back. Band says he grew up watching him and it means a lot. Idolo says he heard he's one of the best Mexican wrestlers alive. He says he doesn't know if Band wants to fight or wants a selfie. Idolo teases taking one, but says he has a call and will see him at Revolution.

The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windows) vs The Iinspiration (Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee)

This is a lose-lose here as both are new teams and don't need to lose. The Iinspiration debuted on a house show instead of on TV for unknown reasons.

The Iinspiration do an inset promo. They say they are excited to step in the ring with The Birds. They say they don't have the balls to face them and need to step up or step aside. The Iinspiration dance and the music stops. They make the music be played again.

The Birds attack The Iin's then chop them in the corner. The Birds hit a backbreaker then a running lariat. Lee takes a double suplex. The Iin's take stereo lariats. Jessie take a hart attack onto Cassi and both are pinned together.

Thoughts: This was a total squash here and a great way to kill off The Iinspiration before they even get started.

Adam Page vs Marty Smooth (?)

I'm not sure what the jobber's name is here but he has an awful hairdo. Page running facekicks him then buckshot lariats him to win.

Page says he put is future at stake to do what MJF's parents should have done to him years ago. He says he has no conscience in Texas Death. He says he will rip him and tear him and only let him lay when he is finished with him. He tells MJF to come down and try to hit him with his diamond ring.

MJF comes out. He asks if he saw him whoop Kevin Knight's @ss. He says don't make him come down and whoop Page's @ss too. The Don Callis Family (Fletcher, Okada and Davis) then jump Page from behind for unknown reasons. Davis running lariats Page. Knight and Bailey chase them away with chairs. 

The Family goes up to the stage then Don Callis and Lance Archer get on the stage. Don says he sees 3 champs and 3 entitled millenial punks in the ring. He says they have trios titles but want more titles. Don says he heard the faces say they would defend their titles any place and any time on Collision. Don says the place and time is tonight. Don says the trios titles will belong to him when they win.

Renee does an interview in a board room with FTR and The Young Bucks. Stoke is wheeled in with FTR. FTR says the greatest tag teams of the millennium are them, The Bucks and The Briscoe's. Dax says they beat The Briscoes and can say chapter closed and they are the best after beating The Bucks. The Bucks say this is different as they attacked their family. The Bucks say this is revenge for their family. The Bucks say they want to kick the sh! out of them at the PPV. FTR says they hope they are there so they can teach them another lesson. Dax says they are so lucky to have the no contact clause but said they didn't say anything about Brandon Cutler (who is filming this). FTR then punch Brandon down.

AEW Continental Title Eliminator - Jon Moxley vs Hechicero

Hech top wristlocks him. Mox takes him down by the arm. Hech elbow drops Mox's back and boots him in the face. Mox stomps the hand and does Hech's taunt. Hech rolls Mox into a side headlock. Mox trips him. Hech headscissors him and twists Mox's head with his feet. 

They shove each other then shoulderblock each other. Hech hits mounted punches. Mox hits mounted corner punches. Mox corner lariats Hech. Hech armbars him. Hech pulls Mox's arm over the top rope. Hech top rope diving elbows Mox for 2. 

We go to PiP break and return. Hech kneels on Mox's shoulder and pulls his legs back. Mox briding cutters him. Hech dragon screws Mox over the 2nd rope. Hech is up top and is hit. Mox superplexes him then does a grounded sleeper. Hech reverses it. Mox armbars him. Hech leglocks him and Mox ropebreaks.

They trade chops and forearms. Hech jumping kicks him then step up knee him. Mox lariats him. Hech flapjacks him and rolls him around the ring into a pin attempt for 2. Hech misses a move against the ropes and is curbstomped. Mox flying knees him then hits a death rider ddt to win.

Thoughts: I don't think happened in the right spot on the card. It was a little boring and slow and they just didn't take it up to the next level. Mox won as expected here. 

Konosuke Takeshita comes out and gets on the ropes to look at Mox, who had left ringside. Mox then turns around and has words for him from the crowd.

Brody King comes out. He says he can be like Swerve and tell everyone how dangerous he is. He says he knows he's the most dangerous man in AEW and says he will prove that tonight. 

Prince Nana comes out. He says he hears King and asks if he wants to go down that rabbit hole. King tells him to bring Swerve out. Swerve then nails King from behind with a chain. Swerve hits a house call kick. Swerve chokes King with the chain around the top rope. Swerve says you chain a dog up like this. He says he had to send a message to Omega and now has to send it to him. He says all the roster is on notice. He says it's one thing to say you are the most dangerous man and it's another to come out and prove it. He says he will see him at Revolution. Bandido then comes out to help King.

The Death Riders talk. Garcia says that's the way they like it and asks when The Don Callis Family will pick fights they can't in. Yuta shows off his new haircut. He says losing his hair was the darkest moment of his career and says The Death Riders are why he is prepared everyday for war. Shafir calls Toni a p!ssy. Mox says they are all a bunch of punks. He says nobody does it like they. Mox says he will go as long and as far as it takes with Takeshita and says they will see it until the end.

AEW Women's Title - Thekla (c) vs Thunder Rosa

Rosa slaps her and bangs her head off the buckles. Rosa chops her then back elbows her. Rosa diving lariats her off the apron. Rosa chops her on the rails and sends her into the side of the ring. Rosa crossbodies her off the rails. Rosa la silla's her on the 2nd rope. The boots her in the back of the head and double stomps Rosa's back from the apron. 

We go to PiP break and return. Thek boots her out of the corner then hanging headscissors her over the top. Thek slaps her around. Rosa kicks her in the gut then stunners her. Rosa flying lariats Thek in the corner then slingshot meteora's her. Rosa dropkicks her against the bottom rope then northern lights suplexes her for 2. 

Rosa is up top and gets hit. They trade shots up there and Thek spider superplexes her. Thek spears her. Thek hits mounted punches. Rosa stunners her. Rosa hits a vertigo variation for 2. Thek bridges out of a lariat then spears her. Thek curb stomps her. Thek hits another curbstomp and wins.

Thoughts: It was a shorter bout but I liked it. They were a bit rough with each other and hit their spots clean. This went a lot better than I expected.

Kris Statlander goes up to Hart and Skye after but security stops her. Thek curbstomps Rosa. Kris goes for Thek and Thek runs.

Jack Perry says he pinned Ricochet for the 3rd time last time. He says he beat him when the odds were even but Ric cheated when it mattered. Jack says it'll be time to finish the war soon. Ric and The Demand talk. Ric says he's the most fighting champ in AEW. He says if it's a war he wants, it's a war he will get. He says when you are in demand, you get to make demands.

Tomasso Ciampa is interviewed. He says Kyle Fletcher took his TNT Title and gave it a makeover. He says now he's hiding behind The Don Callis Family in trios and tag matches. He says Kyle knows Ciampa is the new TNT champ when they meet. He says he will play the games or earn his shot if he has to. He ays he didn't come here for instant classics but to become a top guy. 

FTR interrupt and come out. Dax says he's here to welcome an old friend to AEW. He say he couldn't think of a better way for Ciampa to be a top guy than to surround himself with top guys like them. Dax invites him to join them and take over the company. Ciampa says he hated him 10 years ago and still hates him today. Ciampa says something to Big Stoke and Dax says if he has a problem with him, he has a problem with FTR. Ciampa says Dax signed a no-contact clause, but he and Dax didn't sign one. He then chops Dax. Dax says he's not mad at him and will see him at Collision.

Toni Storm goes up to Orange Cassidy in the trainer's room. OC has ice on his ribs and says Finlay's crew wants to fight. He says they will fight at Revolution and next week. Toni goofs around and tells the camera man to be gone.

AEW Trios Titles - Adam Page and Jetspeed (Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey) vs The Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada and Mark Davis)

The faces run in and all 6 fight. Most of them go outside. Mark is sent into the steps and Mike goes into the rails. Page is sent into the rails. Mike chest kicks Kyle. Kevin rams Okada's back into the apron edge. Mike flying headscissors Kyle then pump kicks him off the apron. Mike goes for a triangle moonsault and Mark lariats him down.

Kyle hits mounted punches on Mike. Mark slams and sentons Mike for 2. Mike's head is banged off the buckles. Okada slams Mike then sentons him. Mike cradles Kyle for 2. Page facekicks Kyle, springboard lariats Okada and fallaway slams Kyle. Page rebound lariats Okada then lariats Kyle over the top. Page boots Kyle down.

Kyle takes a double knee drop, a splash from KK and a Page sliding lariat. Kyle then takes a triple basement dropkick. The faces hit mounted punches on the heels in the corners. Page slingshot plancha's, Mike tope con hilos and Kyle blocks KK's dive. Kyle throws KK off the top into the rails outside. Okada rams Page into the rails. We go to PiP break and return.

KK flying lariats Okada. Kyle corner facekicks KK and Mark sliding lariats KK. Okada dropkicks KK for 2. Kyle is swept on the apron and Mark is pulled over the top. KK dropkicks Okada. Mike tags in and top rope moonsaults Kyle outside. Mark's head is banged off the buckles then Mike top rope dropkicks Mark. Mike drops Kyle with kicks and running ssp's him. Mike spin kicks Mark in the face. Kyle superkicks Mike. Mike PK's him the standing moonsault double knees him for 2. Mike roundhouse kick Okada in the head.

Page and Mark trade forearms. Mark enzugiri's him. Page hits deadeye on him for 2. Mike poisonrana's Kyle then triangle moonsaults him outside. Page lariats Mark twice. MJF comes down and nails Page. Okada rainmakers KK. Mark piledrivers KK and pins him.

Thoughts: I knew the faces were losing here as there was no reason to make this otherwise. The faces were also a makeshift team so it wasn't going to be a long reign. The match was fine with a lot of fast paced action and flying. The trios rules meant selling and the story didn't matter as much which helped these guys out.

Overall thoughts: The opener worked. I liked the OC/Darby match. David Finlay is now with AEW and I don't think he will do well. The Iinspiration got destroyed in their TV debut for no reason. Mox/Hech was a bit slow and didn't fit in the spot they were given. Thekla/Rosa worked out a lot better than I thought. I liked the main. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. They had a lot of solid wrestling here and everything mostly made sense. I thought it was a good show.
