We are in San Jose, CA. Bryan Danielson, Ian Riccaboni and Tony Schiavone are on commentary.

The Death Riders (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli) vs The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita and Hechicero)

CC and Hech go at it. Hech takes him down. CC wristlocks him and Hech poses. They shove each other. Hech shoulders him over then crucifixes him for 2. CC side headlock takeovers him. CC misses a senton and Hech crucifixes him for 2. Hech flips out of a hiptoss and CC flips out of a back body drop. Hech leglocks both of CC's legs and CC ropebreaks. 

Mox and KT go at it. They shoulder battle and KT knocks him over. CC boots KT. CC catches KT in the air and KT leg lariats him. Hech step up knees Mox in the corner. CC hits euros on Hech and Hech headscissors drops him. 

We go to PiP break and return. Hech chops CC. CC spinebusters him and is monkey flipped out. Hech dragon screws Mox over the 2nd rope then top rope diving elbow drops CC. KT comes in and hits forearms on Mox. KT flying lariats him. KT 2nd rope diving headscissors CC then lariats him over the top. KT blue thunders Mox for 2. 

Mox forearms KT. Mox facekicks him then KT forearms him. CC euros KT then Mox lariats KT for 2. Mox crossfaces KT. KT pumping knees Mox in the face. CC and Hech tag in. Hech dropkicks him then spinebusters him. Hech twists CC's head with his feet. Hech is pushed off the 2nd rope to the outside. CC la silla's him off the apron.

CC running euros Hech outside. CC top rope crossbodies Hech. Hech flapjacks him then rolls him into a pin attempt. Hech rolls up CC and CC giant swings him. Hech step up knees CC in the corner then legdrops the back of his neck. 

CC eye pokes Hech and cradles him for the win.

Thoughts: The finish was weak here. But the work was okay otherwise with a lot of stiff shots being thrown. The Death Riders were the favorites here and won.

Lance Arhcer and Mark Davis attack Mox after. Shafir comes in and gets hit too. KT is given a chair to hit Mox with but he refuses to do it. KT's crew argues. KT's crew leaves him and he motions to Mox that he will have the title.

Persephone and Willow Nightingale are interviewed by Renee. Willow congratulates Pers for being Mone for the title. Pers says Willow knows what it's like to beat Mone as she beat her too. Pers says she beat Mone harder. Willow says she can take some hard shots and Pers says she doesn't think so. They pound fists after Willow says let's have a good one.

Don Callis hypes up Kyle Fletcher in the back and says he wants to see what he will do to Mike Bailey. MJF walks in and says he wants to see what he will do too. MJF says Mike kicked him in the face last week and asks him to kick the sh!t out of him. Kyle says he doesn't take orders from him and says he will beat him up bad for himself, not MJF. MJF tells Don he should teach his guys how to speak to the world champ. 

AEW TNT Title - Kyle Fletcher (c) vs Mike Bailey

Mike chest kicks Kyle. Mike hurricanrana's him and rolling armbars him. Kyle facekicks Mike outside. Kyle is sent into the steps. Mike rolling armbars Kyle outside. Kyle kicks him in the back to escape. Mike hits arm kicks on Kyle. Kyle slams him.

Kyle stomps him in the corner. Kyle yanks him into a backbreaker then a backdrop for 2. Kyle chops him then Mike chops back. Mike flying headscissors Kyle. Mike chest kicks Kyle down then standing ssp's him for 2. 

Kyle half and half suplexes him. They facekick and slap each other at the same time. Kyle superkicks him then takes a spinning roundhouse kick. Mike poisonrana's him on the apron.

We go to PiP break and return. Kyle 2nd rope spinning backdrops him during the break. Mike backslides him then plancha's him outside. Mike triangle moonsaults Kyle outside. Mike misses a top rope ssp. Mike then top rope corkscrew moonsaults him outside. 

Mike rolls up Kyle for 2. Kyle lawn darts him into the top buckle. Kyle hits mounted shots on Mike. Kyle corner facekicks him. Mike is on his back with a sleeper. Mike armbars him. Mike standing moonsault double knees him. Mike buzzsaw kicks him. Mike then armbars him again. Kyle sitout powerbombs him to escape it. 

Mike standing moonsault double knee drops him on the floor. Kyle kicks him while he's up top. Kyle is kicked on the 2nd rope. Mike 2nd rope poisonrana's him. Mike spinning high kicks him for 2. Mike standing moonsault double kneedrops him inside. Mike superkicks him. Kyle michinoku drivers him for 2.

Kyle hits a hard lariat. Mike hurricanrana's him for 2. Mike superkicks him and spinning high kicks him. Mike misses an ultimate weapon and cradles him for 2. Mike sunset flips him for 2. Mike spinning roundhouse kicks him. Kazuchika Okada gets on the apron. Kyle eye rakes Mike. Mark Davis gives Kyle a title belt and Kyle hits Mike with it. Kyle brainbusters Mike and pins him.

Thoughts: It was obvious what this was going to be - a no-sell fest with big moves and very indy wrestling. We got all of that and a dirty finish as well. Not even an apron poisonrana and a 2nd rope poisonrana could put down the great Kyle Fletcher here. I hated this.

Brody King vs ?

King does an inset promo. He says he's been looking all over for Swerve and he can't be found. He says he has a standby match and isn't ready for it. He says his opponent will find out who the most dangerous man in AEW is.

King lariats the jobber then over the shoulder piledrivers him to win.

Thoughts: It was a very quick squash.

Swerve chokes King with a chain from the front row. Swerve then chokes him in the ring with the chain. King breaks the chain and stares down Swerve. Swerve tries to run and is backdropped. King corner cannonballs him. King chokes Swerve on the apron. Prince Nana interrupts and is hit. Swerve bangs King's arm over his shoulder and gets out of the way.

Mike Bailey is interviewed. Mike says the best man didn't win and Kyle had to cheat to win. Mike says he gives everything he has when he gets in the ring. He says he has to look forward, not back. He says The Don Callis Family will get what they deserve at Revolution.

Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin vs The Dogs (Gabe Kidd and David Finlay)

Gabe nails DA on the apron and DF stomps OC. Gabe throws DA then sends him out. DF pushes OC into the rails. GA eye rakes Gabe outside. DA chops Gabe. OC is sent into the rails. OC superkicks DF. OC puts his hands in his pockets and dropkicks DF into the steps. DA dropkicks Gabe into the rails.

OC top rope diving lariats Gabe then pump kicks him. DA topes DF but DF kind of swats him away. DF suplex throws OC. We go to PiP break and return.

OC hits stupid weak chops on the heels. OC rolls up DF for 2. OC backrolls DF for 2 again and topes Gabe off of it. OC spinning ddt's DF. OC takes a running corner euro. OC fights off a double team in the corner. 

DA is tagged in. He boots DF and hits forearms on Gabe. DA hits running corner attacks on the heels. He pulls Gabe over the top. DA springboard back elbows DF. DA sharpshooters Gabe. DF breaks it up.

Gabe hits a hard lariat on DA on a code red attempt. DF hits mounted punches on OC. DA hits a code red on Gabe. OC hurricanrana's DF outside. DA and OC hit topes outside.

DA top rope dropkicks Gabe outside while he's seated in a chair. Clark Connors nails OC from behind with a tire iron from the crowd. DA goes for a coffin drop and Gabe turns it into a pin attempt. DA takes a uranage backbreaker, a dominator and a Gabe piledriver. Gabe pins Darby.

Thoughts: If there was ever a time for OC not to screw around, it was this. The Dogs are supposed to be this violent and serious unit and OC was just goofing off against them. This brought down the whole match and ruined it. Darby took some awful looking bumps as usual here.

Clark Connors spears OC after and pounds on him. Roderick Strong comes out. Strong teases doing a move to OC but throws OC into them and beats up The Dogs. Darby hits Gabe with a skateboard. Strong backbreakers Clark and clears him out.

AEW TBS Title - Willow Nightingale (c) vs Persephone

They trade some holds. Willow side headlocks her then takes her over. Willow flying headscissors her. Pers flying headscissors her. They shake hands and Pers rolls her up for 2. Willow cradles her for 2. 

Pers kicks Willow in the corner. Willow step up enzugiri's her then hits corner lariats. Pers crucifixes her then Willow fisherman suplexes her for 2. Willow low crossbodies her. Pers fallaway slams her and kips up. We go to PiP break and return.

Willow blocks a tope and Pers dropkicks her off the apron. Willow hits forearms on her outside. Willow spinebusters her on the floor. Willow cannonballs Pers off the apron. Willow corner cannonballs her for 2. Willow misses a top rope moonsault. Pers germans her. Willow germans her back. 

Pers superkicks her. Pers asai moonsaults her for 2. They trade shots and Willow lariats her for 2. Pers goes for a razor's edge, Willow turns it into a backslide and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a random one that got a lot of time. The match was alright but the finish didn't work here. It was alright and both girls gave a better effort than usual here. 

We get a video for the next match.

Harley and Willow do a promo. Willow says she defend her title against England's and Mexico's best. She says Lena Kross should face her at the PPV pre-show for the TBS Title.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and Mark Briscoe vs Tomasso Ciampa and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood)

Mark knocks Ciampa off the apron and The Bucks hit stereo topes to start. All 6 fight outside. Dax is sent into the steps and Cash is sent into the apron. Cash is sent into the steps. Ciampa is put on a table. Mark goes up top and is hit by Dax. Mark is superplexed and gets his knees up on a splash. Nick 450's Dax off the top. A Buck is triple pounded on in the corner. A Buck is popped up into a double dropkick on FTR.

Ciampa takes a sunset flip + german. A Buck hits a double shiranui on FTR. FTR take dobule superkicks. Ciampa takes a triple kick. Dax is catapulted into Cash's crotch. Mark 2nd rope cutters Cash. Ciampa lariats a Buck. Ciampa and Mark trade shots then facekick each other at the same time. They then fly at each other and both go down.

We go to PiP break and return. Mark and Ciampa trade chops outside. Mark blockbusters Ciampa off the rails. A Buck slingshot facebusters Ciampa then moonsaults off the apron. A Buck dropkicks FTR through the ropes. A Buck then tope con hilos FTR outside. Mark lariats Ciampa over the top. Mark jumps off a chair and tope con hilos outside.

Dax takes corner attacks. Dax takes a razor's edge + neckbreaker for 2. Cash superkicks Ciampa. Cash takes a double superkick. Mark iconoclasma's Ciampa. A Buck top rope swantons Ciampa then then other Buck hits a top rope elbow drop on Ciampa. Mark top rope froggy bow's Ciampa for 2. 

A Buck is knocked off the top and sent through a table. Mark takes a shatter machine. Dax hits a Buck with a tv monitor then a Buck takes a spike piledriver through the commentary table. Ciampa pumping knees Mark on the ropes for 2. 

Ciampa pumping knees Mark and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a very fast paced match. They did everything 100MPH and it was hard to even follow along at times. There were lots of big spots, but none of them meant anything and I didn't really care for this.

Ciampa pounds on Mark after. Ciampa chairs Mark. Ciampa chokes Mark with a chair. Ciampa 2nd rope air raid crashes Mark through chairs next to each other.

Bryan Danielson hosts a press conference with MJF and Adam Page that is taped and not in front of the crowd. 

Page says the match isn't for revenge, it's for the title. Page says he's taking what MJF holds dearest. MJF says it's sickening and stupid that he has to be in a texas death match. Page says MJF will be leaving the show in an ambulance. 

MJF says his losses to Page were flukes. He says Page is a lucky shot and is all out of bullets. He says he's not concerned with their two matches and is worried about beating him at the PPV. 

Page says he's the master of the texas death match and has ended them. Page says MJF doesn't stand a chance and he will teach him all the lessons he learned about texas death. 

A reporter asks Page who he is if he loses to MJF. He says it won't happen as he is winning the title. MJF says it's obvious he's not winning. MJF says he wants to salute and brings in beers toast Page not being champ again. Page knocks one away, MJF throws the other at him and they fight. 

Page and MJF fight into the arena. MJF is knocked into ringside. Page pounds on him in the ring and security tries to break it up. MJF is hit with a deadeye. Page grabs a barbed wire board and MJF escapes.

Overall thoughts: The show ran 12 minutes late. It was almost all wrestling on this show. It's the show before the PPV, so we had limited news and developments here. The opener was alright. Fletcher/Bailey was an awful indy style match with them doing big dangerous moves that meant nothing. Orange Cassidy screwed up his match as he just had to bring the comedy vs the serious and violent Dogs group. Willow/Persephone got a lot of time and was alright with Willow winning. The main was 100MPH and all action. I found it a bit hard to follow and while they did a lot of stuff, it didn't mean a lot so I can't say I liked it. We then had an MJF/Page press conference and brawl to end the show. I'd give it a 5 out of 10. I just didn't like a lot of the matches that much but most of the show built up something on the PPV.
