Note - Contrary to what my reviews suggest, I really do like this promotion. They got a good commentary team, they've got a good roster and Billy Corgan does have an eye for scouting talent. But the booking is usually bad, the matches are never great (mostly because they don't get the time to be) and we get a lot of stuff with Dr. Vik/Bitcrush that never fits in. 

Joe Galli and Tim Storm welcome us to the show with The Slimeballz. All four will be doing commentary on today's show. 

Crockett Cup 2026 First Round Match - Pretty Boy Smooth and Hayden Backlund vs The Wrestling Machines (SLADE and Mike Mondo)

C-Lo is with PB and HB. Aron Stevens is with Slade and Mondo.

HB takes down Slade and is put in a side headlock. Slade shoulders him over. PB comes in and facekicks Slade. Mike boots PB in the gut then PB throws him. HB top rope elbow drops Mike's arm. Slade comes off the top and is hit in the gut by HB. HB sliding lariats Slade. 

HB boots Slade out of the corner but Mike pulls him crotch first into the post. HB takes a claymore kick + russian legsweep combo for 2. Mike knees HB in the gut and back elbows him.  

Slade euros HB down. Slade lariats him for 2. HB takes boots and a foot choke in the corner. Mike elbow drops HB for 2. Mike slams HB. Mike comes off the 2nd rope and is met with a boot. HB's tag is blocked and he rolls his opponents. PB gets in. PB shoulders over both opponents. PB then corner splashes them. PB slams and legdrops Slade for 2. PB hits a big lariat on Slade for 2. PB goes for a double chokeslam but is double eye raked.

HB superkicks Slade. PB throws HB into a cutter on Mike. Slade sends PB out. Slade does a grounded figure four and taps out HB.

Thoughts: It wasn't a great way to introduce Backlund since he took the fall and mostly got beaten up here. The match was fine and they kept thing moving.

Aron Stevens and The Federation of Champions talk. Mondo says what him and Slade say is what they do. He says they show up and get the job done. Mondo says there's a reason they are champs. Slade says Backlund and PB Smooth saw what happened when you face them. He says you will just tap. Carson Drake says the finals of The Crockett Cup will be The Drake's vs The Wrestling Machines. Aron says he will take all of them to the promised land. Tommy Rant says he wants to go and Aron asks why he's here. Aron says they are not in The Federation, only financially. They then kick them out.

Natalia Markova vs Herra

Herra dropkicks Nat as she poses. Herra corner splashes her and belly to belly suplexes her for 1. Herra clubs on Nat and Nat crossbodies her. Nat knees her in the gut then running back elbows her. Nat bulldogs her for 2. 

Herra boots her in the head and sentons her for 2. Herra twists Nat's head and stomps her. Herra hits corner lariats her for 2. Herra hits chops. Nat forearms her and high kicks her. Nat then facebusters her for 2. Herra throws her down and twisting splashes her.

Nat boots her out of the corner. Nat spinning heel kicks her in the corner and double arm ddt's her to win.

Thoughts: Nat won as expected here. It was the usual Markova match with there not being any great logic to it and with her moves not looking the best. I don't think Herra had lost yet in the NWA and this is a dumb way to have her drop her first fall.

TV-MA of Gretta, Tiffany Nieves and Ms. Starr talk. Tiff says being a TV champ doesn't get her a title shot. She says Markova is an idiot. She says her eyes are on her. Starr says TV-MA will face The Hex next week and asks if they are ready. Starr says they are always ready.

Crockett Cup 2026 First Round Match - The Southern Six (Kerry Morton and Alex Taylor) vs The Hardway (Dalton McKenzie and Jack Vaughn)

Danny Dealz is at the commentary table but Silas Mason kicks him out.

Jack and KM lock up. KM is pulled down. KM boots him in the gut and grabs his mustache. KM crossbodies Jack but just goes down. Jack back body drops him. AT comes in and is facekicked. Jack side slams Alex. DM chops AT down then hits a big pounce.

DM gorilla press slams KM. DM clubs on KM on the apron. Jack legdrops KM. Jack misses a flying kick, gets crotched and AT shakes the ropes on him. AT stomps and foot chokes Jack. Jack takes a double slingshot suplex. 

KM hits mounted punches on Jack. AT foot chokes Jack and eye rakes him. Jack hits a double ddt on the heels. DM comes in and rams KM in the corner. DM corner splashes AT then hits a big dropkick on him. KM boots DM out of the corner. AT dropkicks DM. DM takes a flying knee + drop from AT's shoulders and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a little hard to buy DM getting beaten here due to the size differences. The Six won as expected. What we got was fine. Dalton continues to impress as a powerhouse. 

Natalia Markova does a promo. She says Liviyah was treated poorly in her first NWA match. She says she will grant her a title shot next week so she can make a better first impression.

Dr. Vik's Abode

They are having a birthday party for Tiffany Nieves. Tiff is impressed. The lawyer talks to Thom Lattimer and Colby Corino. Kylie Paige comes in and has some backhanded comments for Tiff. Aron Stevens and Carson Drake come in. Drake says he forgot her gift. 

Tiff gets mad as she thought this party would be filled with A-listers and she complains to Vik.

Daisy Kill is interviewed in the ring. Kill complains that Kyle didn't say his name right. He says he beat Hunter Drake last time and he says he's gone for good. He says he beat Lev and Lev is gone too. He says Eric Smalls then came in and hit him in the balls. Kill says he wants Smalls to come out now for a rematch.

Eric Smalls comes out with a ref.

Dr. Vik's Abode

The whole NWA roster is there now. Vik talks to Bryan Idol and Ms. Starr. He says he's got something that will change Tiff's advice. Vik seems like he wants to propose and I think Ms. Starr tells her no. Tiff comes in as Vik talks about how close their bond is getting. The Slimeballz come in and have a squeaky dog toy for Tiff and a mop of some sort.

Daisy Kill vs Eric Smalls

DK gets down on his knees and tries to do some amateur wrestling. He gets back up and challenges Eric to a test of strength. DK turns around and Eric hits an AA. Eric dropkicks him in the knee then step up enzugiri's him. DK bends down and lariats Eric.

Eric's head is banged off the 2nd buckle. DK goes to whip Eric with a belt. The ref isn't looking and Eric punches him in the crotch. Eric then rolls up DK.

Thoughts: I like Daisy and I don't like seeing him lose to midget wrestlers. I'm sure it won't matter or even be remembered within a month, but I don't really see the benefits of this for him.

Eric ties Daisy's shoes together after. 

The Hex do a promo. Kay says Tiff is cycling through different partners. Marti says people don't want to be around Tiff. Marti says they have to be cautious of Gretta. Kay says Gretta is a green and an angry green giant. She then makes a Jolly Green Giant joke.

Dr. Vik's Abode

Tiff has Vik blow out the candles on her birthday cupcakes. Tiff thanks everyone here including herself. She says he had a bueno year. She says this year will be different and will be part of the .00001 kind of different. She says she won't just hold the TV Title this year, she will also become NWA Women's champ. 

Vik interrupts. He says it's time they can get to the next step and can change their lives together. He then proposes to her. Tiff immediately says no and says he's not man enough for her. Tiff slaps him and walks away with the ring anyway.

The Cazana's ask what they just witnessed. KC gets a laugh out of it. Joe says when he proposed to their mom, she didn't say no, but she said yes twice. KC then complains about that joke. 

Thoughts: One would think this would be the end of Vik trying to get with Tiff, but I don't know at this point. The problem with this whole thing is that it doesn't really translate to anything wrestling wise and it's hard to understand why they keep showing these segments if it has no correlation to wrestling. Maybe this is the starting point and Vik becomes some evil heel manager...and maybe we get another year worth of segments that have nothing to do with anything. 

Kenzie Paige vs Sirena Veil

Kenzie Paige has Tommy Henry with her. Ken has a new fake leather belly shirt and fake leather pants.

SV armdrags her off the lock up. Ken rolling spears her for 2. SV rolls her up and they trade cradles. They shove each other and Ken shoulders her over. Ken flying headscissors her. Ken running back elbows her. Ken basement dropkicks her for 2. 

SV tries to flip in the corner but falls and Ken stomps her. SV hits kneelifts on her over the 2nd rope. SV sentons her or 2. SV hits kicks and Ken drops her with a forearm. SV hits a high chest kick and they knock each other down. 

They trade shots. Ken headbutts her then hits lariats. Ken dropkicks her off the apron. Ken double stomps her on the apron for 2.

SV high kicks her. SV legslice reverse ddt's her for 2. Ken running facekicks her. SV triangles her. Ken rope breaks and SV won't let it go. Tommy Henry tries to make her break it. Haley J comes down and slaps Tommy. 

Thoughts: I'm assuming Kenzie won via DQ here but they didn't tell us that. They gambled on Veil here and the gamble didn't pay off. The match was slow, the crowd was dead for it and neither came out of this one looking good. I wouldn't give up on Veil or anything but a main event match may be a little above her abilities right now.

Overall thoughts: It was your usual eh NWA Powerrr episode. There was nothing must see here. We had multiple questionable decisions like usual including Herra, Daisy Kill and Hayden Backlund losing. Danny Dealz must have been sick as he wasn't on commentary during this much at all. We got multiple Dr. Vik segments that continue to not really be relevant to anything. The main didn't work at all as Veil didn't have a good night and her match with Kenzie was bad. I'd give this a 4 out of 10 and wouldn't recommend it.
