CWA Campeones del Hexagono 7/9/2022

Luis Toledo and Robert Diaz are on commentary.

CWA Heavyweight Title - Manuel Rodriguez (c) vs Leinord White

LW misses a charge and MR hits some punches. MR takes a single arm ddt then is thrown down by the arm. LW stomps and knee drops the arm. He armlocks him and sends him into the buckles shoulder first. LW armlocks him.

We go to break. One wrestler talks to Hiram Tua (bald guy) in the parking lot. That guy calls Tua the only free agent who promotes CWA shirts. The one in the suit says he will know him and wants a shot at the title. 

We return from break. LW has an armlock on MR. He stomps the arm and hammerlocks him. LW bites him then MR double axe handles him. LW dropkicks him for 2. LW wraps his arm around the 2nd rope. MR uranagegs him. They both get up. MR hits punches and back body drops him. MR back elbows him hard for 2.

LW crucifixes him for 2 then crossfaces him. MR roprebreaks. LW hits a big lariat that makes the announcer yell. The ref counts 3 but LW gets his arm up at the last second. White wins. The pinfall still counts.

Thoughts: It was fine. White got his arm worked on, threw some decent punches and won with a nice lariat out of nowhere.

Hansel Velez is asked about the next challenger and he says he will look for the best possible challenger. He says they haven't made the next challenger an official member of the roster but they have a good relationship with him. 

Hansel Velez talks to Rey Maldonado in the back about a recent finish in a match. Chris Ifer walks in. He says he made a commitment and his team got the win. Velez says he has a lot of potential. He says the two should team up as they need to strengthen the tag division. The two wrestlers argue. Ifer doesn't want to be in a tag team but Velez insists. Ifer says Velez is different than other matchmakers and Velez agrees. Ifer says he will get Maldonado the win and says they will do it. 

CWA Tag Titles - Los Inmortales (Orly Jr. & Tapia) (c) vs La Pareja Mas Estable (Bambino & Rodrigo Garcia) 

 

Orly has the long hair and Tapia is bald.

Los Inmortales go to confront the commentators but are backed off. 

Los Inmortales stall to start. RG and Tapia lock up. RG waistlocks him and Tapia escapes. Tapia throws him off the lock up. RG hits leg kicks on him then flying headscissors him. RG dropkicks him and sends him out. Orly is then sent out by RG. Bam back body drops RG onto Los Inmortales outside.

RG and Tapia trade shots outside. Bam punches and headbutts Orly out. RG hits shots on Tap inside. Tap goes up and over then samoan drops him for 2. RG takes a double back elbow. Orly stomp on RG and abuses him on the ropes. Tap then chokes RG on the ropes. 

We go to break. Jesus El Olimpico does a promo. He says he's here to look for his opportunity on 7/30. He says he will show who he is. We return from break. Tap chinlocks RG. RG elbows out of it then Tap superkicks him for 2. Tap chokes RG. Orly stomps RG. RG suplexes him. RG springboard falling backsplashes him for 2. 

Orly cutters RG for 2. RG boots Tap out of the corner then casadora bulldogs him. Bam and Orly get in. Bam hits big chops and back body drops him. Bam atomic drops him twice then hits lariats. Orly begs off. Bam boots him and ddt's him for 2.

Tap hits punches on Bam. The wrestlers pair off in the corners. The heels are sent into each other then both get rolled up for 2. Tap rolls RG into a sitout bomb. Bam hits a big wind up punch on Tap. Bam corner hip attacks Orly then misses one on Tap. Tap spears Bam. Orly goes for a gori bomb but RG sunset flips him for 2. RG drops Orly with a punch with a foreign object and pins him. 

Thoughts: The crowd was really hot for this. Bambino is great. He can't move that well due to his size but he really knows how to do old babyface punches and he can fire up. He's super lovable. This was a fun little tag. It wasn't the cleanest or the most advanced tag ever but the crowd was into it and both teams played their roles well.

Los Inmortales confront the commentators after. Robert Diaz grabs a tie iron and gets hi. The heels pry it away from him and send him in the ring. Tapia chokes Rob. Orly goes for the tire iron shot and Manual Rodriguez makes the save. Manuel hits some great shots on the heels and drops them. Rob then turns and low blows Manuel. Los Inmortales stomp on Manuel and choke him with the tire iron. Angel Rodriguez comes out. He pushes Los Inmortales aside and hugs Rob. The four then pose. 

Angel gets on the mic after but I'm not sure what he says. 

Luis Toledo is shocked by all of this and said Robert Diaz betrayed the company. He says a new hour begun with Diaz's new crew. Angel Rodriguez and Los Inmortales do a promo after. He said they stayed in the CWA while the other rats fled the ship. He says the CWA is the company of the people. He says they came implant the real difference. He says "no revolts".

Overall thoughts: It was a fun show. The opener was fine. The tag title match was fun with Bambino coming across like Dusty Rhodes. We got a big turn at the end of the show and the crowd was hot all night long. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 overall.
