We are in Monterrey, Mexico. JBL, Corey Graves and Rey Mysterio are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive.

El Hijo del Vikingo vs. Dinamico

Vik shotgun dropkicks him and stomps on him in the corner. Vik foto chokes Din and chops him. Vik corner lariats him, enzugiri's him and basement dropkicks him for 2. Din spinning sitout powerbombs him. Din trips him then basement dropkicks him. Vik spin kicks him in the face and lariats him. 

Din misses a corner charge. Vik top rope diving codebreakers him. Din is put on the 2nd rope and Vik top rope double stomps him down for 2. Din hits kicks and boots him out of the corner. Din rolls into a cutter on him. Din springboard crossbodies him outside. 

Vik package tombstones him on a casadora. Din rolls him up for 2. Vik spin kicks him in the gut. They botch an electric chair german spot. Vik lariats him. Din is rammed into the buckles. Vik top rope 630's him for the win.

Thoughts: It started off well then they had a couple of botches that brought this down. The botches were particularly an issue since this is the first time we saw Dinamico on WWE's version of AAA and it makes him look worse than it does Vikingo. They had the right idea here. Dinamico isn't a super impressive flyer or anything but what he does is enough. It was definitely an "underdog goes for the upset" style match.

Dominik Mysterio congratulates Vikingo after in a video. He says next week will be different and says Vik won't become anything in this life. He says he will show him what it is to be a real champ and says he stay king of the luchadores. 

Lady Flammer does a video and says she's the Reina de Reina's champ. She says she's the longest reigning champ ever and the greatest champ in Mexico. She says because of it, she was put in WWE's newest game. She asks where her competition is. She challenges anyone to come to Rey de Reyes and take her title from her. She says they will fail and go up and flames.

Rey de Reyes 2026 Qualifying Four Way Match - Santos Escobar vs. Psycho Clown vs. Abismo Negro Jr. vs. Mr. Iguana

Negro is pop-up forearmed by Clown. Iguana flying headscissors Santos out. Negro suplexes Iguana then poses on him. Clown la magistral's him for 2. Clown toyota rolls Negro. Clown flying headscissors Negro. Santos misses a corner splash and Clown topes Negro through the rope connectors. Iguana throws his toy at Santos and dropkicks him out. Iguana plancha's Santos outside.

Santos hits mounted shots on Iguana and sends him out. Santos running euros him in the corner then superkicks him for 2. Santos and Negro chop and forearm each other. Santos pumping knees him. Santos laspas him then Negro lariats him over the top. Iguana satellite headscissors Negro out. Clown helps Iguana up top. Iguana top rope diving headscissors Negro into an armdrag outside.

Clown moonsaults to the outside. Iguana step up enzugiri's Clown. Clown catches Iguana in the air, hits snake eyes and a step up enzugiri in the corner. Iguana is pulled from the top into a powerslam. Negro gorilla press gutbusters Clown for 2. Negro goes for the tombstone on CLown. El Fiscal comes out and starts fighting with Negro. Fiscal lariats him over the top and goes with him. Negro is sent over the rails and they fight in the crowd.

Clown air raid crashes Santos for 2. Clown goes up top and The War Raiders grab him and beat him up on the stage. Pagano comes out and hits The War Raiders with a kendo stick. Iguana top rope crossbodies Santos for 2. Santos pops up Iguana and Iguana hurricanrana's him. Santos bangs Iguana's head off he buckles. Santos single leg package tombstones Iguana and pins him.

Thoughts: I was shocked El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. didn't appear here to go after Santos. Everyone else sure did though with Pagano, The War Raiders and El Fiscal getting involved. Iguana hit a cool diving headscissors into an armdrag outside. I didn't really get some of the logic of Clown helping out Iguana then working against him later. It was a wild match and it was entertaining. 

Pagano and Clown talk in the back and say they are going after The War Raiders. Clown asks where Murder Clown is. Pagano says he was with him in the locker room before he went out. Clown then wants to go find him. Murder is missing and Clown brings up Dave and Monsther Clown getting attacked. Pagano asks if he is involved. Clown hears a noise and boots a door down but finds nothing. He then goes into another down and Murder Clown is there and he's okay. Clown says they need to group up and work together. Murder and Clown do a cheer. Pagano is hesitant but joins in.

El Grande Americano vs. La Parka

GA backs up Parka in the corner. Parka ducks a chop and dances. Parka flying forearms him. GA waistlock takedowns him for 2. Parka rolls him up for 2. GA sweeps him then Parka sweeps him back. They armdrag each other. Parka avoids an armdrag and dances.

GA hits punches and boots on Parka in the corner. Parka flips out of the corner and GA ankle locks him. Parka rolls up GA then backbreakers him. Parka dropkicks GA. Parka step up enzugiri's GA off the apron. Parka misses a moonsault off the stage and then he is dropped knee first on the commentary table. GA lariats him on the floor.

Parka is sent into the steps and pounded on. GA kneebreakers him and dragon screws him. GA bangs Park's leg off the post.  

GA works the knee. Parka sunset flips him for 2. GA chops him in the corner and boots him. Parka rolls up GA for 2. GA dragon screws Parka for 2. GA hits a northern lights suplex for 2. GA tries to unmask Parka. GA is thrown chest first into the buckles. They trade shots. Parka dropkicks him and lariats him. Parka pop-up drops him. Parka flapjacks him then suplexes him for 2.

GA backslides Parka for 2. GA koppo kicks him then fisherman busters him for 2. GA stomps Parka's leg. Parka top rope spanish flies him for 2. GA twists Parka's mask so he can't see. GA hits a chaos theory german and pins him.

Thoughts: GA worked the leg here for the first part of this then forgot about in the 2nd half which hurt this. Parka still sold the knee long after GA stopped working on it. The dirty finish didn't help things out much. I can't say I liked this all that much and it also went a little longer than it needed to.

Santos Escobar comes out and looks at the Rey de Reyes sword. El Grande Americano II then comes out and look at the sword.  Grande, Grande II and Santos then compete for cheers after.

Overall thoughts: It was maybe one of the weaker editions in-ring wise of AAA. Vikingo/Dinamico had the right idea but the botches hurt Dinamico more than they did Vikingo, and Dinamico wasn't even responsible for some of them. The four-way was a bit wild with lots of people interfering but it was entertaining. We got more teases on the situation with Psycho Clown's buddies being attacked. The main wasn't that good. Grande did leg work on Parka for the first half then gave up on it in the 2nd half while Parka sold. It also had a dirty finish. Rey de Reyes begins next week, so because of it, nothing really got resolved here storyline wise. Next week is when we will probably start to get some happenings. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall. It was okay but the wrestlers dropped the ball that the bookers had passed them here.
