WWE Monday Night Raw 3/9/2026

We are in Seattle, WA. Michael Cole and Corey Graves are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive.

Adam Pearce talks in the ring. He says he has unfortunate business to discuss with Seth Rollins. A bunch of people in hoods and masks come out. Seth then reveals himself. Adam says he doesn't like the vision but his job is to be the GM. He says what Seth is doing with the black masks if unacceptable. Adam says his drive by attacks have worked, but he just got injured 5 months ago and there may be a time when the attacks don't work. He says he's not cleared and The Vision may get their hands on him. He says it could be the worst case scenario if they catch him and it could be the end of Seth.

The Vision of Logan Paul and Austin Theory come out. Logan says the end of Seth is now as they will be the breaks off his masked minions. Austin says his masked idiots won't take his whooping and says to consider this the worst case scenario. Seth puts the mask and hood back on. The heels get on the ring and all the minions come in and mix it up. The masked men all leave and the heels don't know who is who.

LA Knight comes out. LA beats up Logan then Austin pounds on LA. LA punches Austin in the corner. LA is double teamed. The Uso's come out and fight The Vision. Logan is double superkicked and LA lariats Logan.  Austin then pulls Logan out.

Thoughts: Seth's bit with the masked men was a little goofy, but it's a unique way to evade the heels. It seems like Seth will be available for Mania which will help things out. 

The Uso's are interviewed in the back. Jey says they don't care about The Vison or Seth. Jimmy says they have receipts to hand out. Jey is asked about Punk's comments towards Roman. Jey says he has nothing to say and forget him. Jimmy says maybe they do have something to say.

#1 Contender's Gauntlet Match

Leg 1 - Lyra Valkyria vs Iyo Sky

Iyo wristlocks her. Lyra rolls out and snapmares her. Iyo wristlocks her and Iyo keeps the hold on after taking a monkey fip. They stand off after a Lyra suplex. Lyra side headlocks Iyo. Lyra spinning heel kicks her for 2. 

Iyo cartwheels off the ropes, sweeps Lyra then basement dropkicks her. Iyo topes her outside. Iyo is dropped face first on the top rope and Lyra dropkicks her through the ropes. We go to break and return.

They trade shots. Iyo shotei's her. Iyo double underhook backbreakers her. Iyo corner meteora's her. Lyra hits forearms on Iyo. Lyra flips out of a sunset bomb and step up enzugiri's her. Lyra tornado ddt's her then fisherman busters her for 2. 

Iyo rolls out of a cradle shock and double stomps her. Iyo buzzsaw kicks her. Iyo top rope moonsaults her and pins her. 

Leg 2 - Iyo Sky vs Raquel Rodriguez

Iyo dropkicks RR off the apron. RR catches her tope. Iyo hits forearms. RR back elbows her then lariats her on the floor. RR corkscrew elbows her off the buckles. Iyo pulls RR's throat down over the top rope. Iyo misses a springboard and gets pounced. We go to break and return.

Iyo 2nd rope hurricanrana's her. Iyo top rope dropkicks her. Iyo corner meteora's her. Iyo goes up top and Liv Morgan comes down to distract her. Iyo is swept on the top rope. Stephanie Vaquer comes out. Steph superkicks Liv and throws her down. They go to the back.

Iyo top rope dives into a cradle on RR and pins her.

RR facekicks Iyo over the top after. RR then throws her face first into the post and powerbombs her on the apron.

Leg 3 - Iyo Sky vs Ivy Nile

Ivy runs in and pins Iyo.

Leg 4 - Ivy Nile vs Bayley

Iyo is totally out of it on the floor. Bay checks on her then Ivy hits Bay from behind. Bay's head is banged off the apron then she is sent into the steps. We go to break and return.

Ivy gutwrench suplexes her for 2. Ivy chinlocks her. Bay rolls her off. Bay running neckbreakers her. Bay backdrops Ivy. Bay stunners Ivy over the 2nd rope and running knees her. Bay 2nd rope elbow drops her on the back for 2. 

Bay rolls her up for 2. Ivy flying kicks her in the corner and germans her for 2. Ivy is sitting on the 2nd buckle. Bay jumps up and sits behind her then germans her down. Ivy superkicks her then delay suplexes her. 

Ivy hits mounted forearms on Bay. Bay sits up top and Ivy flying kicks her. Ivy 2nd rope superplexes Bay then swinging pendulum slams her. Ivy is sent into the steps. Bay jumps off the steps and elbow drops Ivy on the apron. Bay belly to belly suplexes her for the win. 

Leg 5 - Bayley vs Asuka

Bay tope elbows Asuka as she enters. Asuka pushes Sane into bay then she high kicks Bay. We go to break and return. Bay sunset bombs Asuka into the buckles for 2. Asuka ankle locks her. Bay ankle locks her. Asuka rolls out to escape.

Bay dropkicks her through the ropes. Asuka kicks her in the gut and pop up knees her. Bay lariats her then running knees her for 2. They trade forearms. Asuka kits kicks on her for 2. Asuka buzzsaw kicks her for 2.

Bay belly to belly suplexes her for 2. Sane tries to hit Bay then Lyra comes out and dropkicks Sane. Bay stunners Asuka over the 2nd rope. Bay comes off the buckles and Asuka grounded chickenwings her. Bay then pins Asuka with a roseplant.

Thoughts: It was a long bout and the crowd died out as it went on. Four of the five matches got time which was nice. Lyra/Iyo was the best bout of this and Ivy/Bayley was something different. It was alright overall. Asuka took a nasty tope elbow to the chin here. I was surprised to see Bayley win this and not Iyo.

Danhausen goes up to El Grande Americano Original. He wants to try on Grande's mask. Grande tells him not to touch luchadores mask's. Grande says he has no time for this and tells him to go. Dan says he's cursed for not wanting to join forces with him. We see Grande II in the background sneaking up on Grande 1.

Penta comes out and talks on the mic before his match. He thanks Adam Pearce, his family, friends, company and fans. He say he believes in himself everyday to keep the title. He says his title is no joke and is for everyone who never gives up. He talks about the title and says he will make history with it. 

WWE Intercontinental Title - Penta (c) vs El Grande Americano Original

El Grande Americano II comes out instead of the original. Penta is confused and complains. Grande has some weird bump on his arm.

We join this in progress. Grande side headlocks Penta. Grande back rolls and is kicked. Grande flying headscissors him then Penta flying headscissors him. Penta superkicks him then chops him. Grande open hand punches him then pounds on him. Grande hits mounted corner punches and kicks Penta.

Grande hits mounted shots on Penta then elbows him in the head. Grande hits mounted corner punches then Penta does as well. Grande rakes the eyes. Grande running slaps him then Penta step up enzugiri's him. Penta does an up and over backstabber. Penta springboard triangle lariats him on the ropes. Penta goes for a tope and is hit.

We go to break and return. Penta leg drops Grande's leg then slingblades him. Penta handstand pendulum double boots him then tope con hilos him. Penta top rope crossbodies him for 2. Grande rolls him up for 2 and spinebusters him for 2.

Penta superkicks Grande down. Grande rolling death valley drivers him for 2. Penta chops him. Grande comes off the 2nd rope and is caught with a codebreaker. Penta springboard canadian destroyers him and pins him.

Thoughts: The breaks hurt this some and it definitely slowed down a bit near the end. I was surprised to see Grande lose here and surprised to see him lose clean. This was fine.

Stephanie Vaquer does a promo. She says WWE signed Liv when she was 20. She says she had privilege and can see all she did. She says she has the tools to be great but doesn't use them. She says she has her friends help her win. Steph says the mud huts made her who she is. She says she was forged in hell while Liv was forged in experience. Steph says she sees more in her than Liv sees in herself. She says Liv sees herself as a cheap blonde and says she takes the easy way to win titles. She says she will use her blood and experience to make history at Mania.

Liv talks to JD and Raquel in the back. She gets mad at what Steph said. Dom comes in and asks if we saw Finn. Dom says he has to go to the ring and get something off his chest.

Dom, Liv and Raquel come out. Dom says he demands a rematch. He says Penta is walking around with his title. He brings up Finn and said he wanted to do this privately. Finn Balor and JD McDonaugh come out. 

Dom asks where Finn has been. He says he hopes Finn talked to Adam and got him a rematch. Finn says Dom is right, he'd be champ without Finn and he says he's sorry. Finn says he was trying to help and teach him a lesson. Finn says they are family and will always have his back. Finn says Dom has to learn to fight his own battles to be the greatest sometimes. 

Finn says he tried to help him and the more he helped him, the more he realized his dad is right. He says maybe Dom is just a spoiled little b!tch. Dom piefaces him. Finn pele kicks him. JD and the girls break it up. Finn slingblades Dom. Finn goes to john woo him and JD lariats Finn. Raquel and Liv hen pound on Finn and Finn takes a 4v1. 

Dom grabs a hammer. Finn fights JD then Dom hits Finn with the hammer. Dom puts the hammer in his shoe then 619's him. Dom then top rope frogsplahes Finn. JD chairs Finn in the gut. Dom frogsplashes a chair into Finn.

Thoughts: I was surprised to see Finn get turned on here. He's been with Judgment Day for so long. I do think the group needs to stay together as Raquel and JD will be in trouble without the group. It might be a good time to maybe bring Damian Priest back in the fold as his face run hasn't worked and he was much better off in Judgment Day. 

Adam Pearce puts over Je'Von Evans in the back and says 2026 will be big for him. Grayson Waller and Kofi Kingston come up to Evans. Waller yells at him and Kofi asks him to leave so he can talk to Evans. Kofi says they got off the wrong foot. Kofi says he reminds him of a young him. Kofi says Evans could be champ but he needs the right team around him. Kofi says he has dreams and doesn't have to do it alone. Asuka grabs Sane down the hall behind them.

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria are interviewed. Lyra says Bay should be the next Women's IC champ. Bay says they all look up to AJ Lee and they would not be here without her. She says it's a title she hasn't won and wants to win. Bay says maybe Lyra can be first in line if she wins.

Oba Femi vs Rusev

They stare down and lariat battle. They trade shots. Rusev hits knees to the gut then punches to the gut. Oba running euros him in the corner. Rusev corner splashes him. Oba facekicks him then lariats him over the top. Rusev hits double throat thrusts and Rusev is sent into the post. 

Rusev superkicks him on the apron. Rusev hits punches outside. He pushes Oba into the post and spinning heel kicks him on the commentary table. Rusev high kicks him then machka kicks him. Oba running euros him. Oba throws him then pop-up sitout powerbombs him to win.

Thoughts: It was short and maybe didn't even go 6 minutes long which was a bit disappointing. I was hoping for more of a war than what we got. What we got was fine and hid their weaknesses though. This doesn't bode well for Rusev to essentially get squashed like this.

CM Punk comes out to talk. We go to break and return. Punk says he was unsure what the temperature in the room would be. Punk says Roman has never respected him. He says he will force Roman to respect the position he holds. He says titles are made to find out who the best is. 

Punk says the title was created as Roman refused to defend his title. Punk says he defends it as the fans deserve a fighting champ. He says if you face him, you have to level up. He says he levels this place up. He said he lowered himself to Roman's level.

The Uso's come out. Jey says they need Punk to apologize now. Punk asks why Roman is still sending his cousins out here to do his heavy lifting. Jey says he came out here himself. Jimmy says he respects Punk. Jimmy says Punk can't disrespect Roman as he has no voice here and tells him to apologize. 

Punk says respects Sika and talks about learning from Afa and Samu. He says he respects Jimmy's family and says his family showed him respect except for that one SOB. Punk calls Roman a plastic politician. Jey says Punk doesn't get it. Jey says it's not about Roman and they need Punk to say he's sorry. 

Punk says he's sorry....Roman treated them and his family like garbage for years and never publicly apologized. He says he's sorry Roman disrespected Dusty and has tricked The Uso's into thinking he cares about them. Punk says if Roman cared, he'd be talking to him right now instead of his young boys. Punk shoves the mic in Jey's face and is hit and dropped. 

Thoughts: The Uso's and Roman's relationship has been a problem for a while. It's just not consistent and this was another example of it. The Uso's were complaining about Roman months ago and are now defending him again.

Overall thoughts: The show was okay as a whole. The women's gauntlet was okay and had some high points with Iyo/Lyra. Penta/Grande was fine. Rusev/Femi was a short squash and a bit disappointing, though the in-ring work wasn't an issue. Finn got turned on and kicked out of Judgment Day in the surprising moment of the night, which is likely going to set up a Wrestlemania match. The Uso's are back to being Roman's lackeys and got heelish with Punk in the final segment. We either had 3 or 7 matches here depending on how you count the gauntlet and the stars weren't really wrestling here tonight. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall. I've tried to give this Road to Wrestlemania a chance, but so far, it's not that great.
