WWE Evolve 3/11/2026

WWE Evolve 3/11/2026

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/03/wwe-evolve-succession-ii-342025.html

We are in the Performance Center. Pete Rosenberg and Blake Howard are on commentary.

Various wrestlers are around the ring. Robert Stone is in the ring. He says him and Shawn Michaels decided Evolve needs authority. He then brings out Timothy Thatcher as the new GM.

Stone says it's time they expand Tim's role. He says Tim will go scout talent around the world to enhance Evolve. Tim says he appreciates the trust they have in him. He says he's no GM though. He says Evolve is where the work starts. He says Evolve is more of a worksite and he's the Foreman, not the GM. Stone says Tim will have to make difficult decisions and says Jackson Drake and Kendal Grey are now full-time NXT stars. Tim says one door opens and another closes. Tim says champs shouldn't disappear and they need to earn their way out. Tim says he asked Grey and Drake for one more title defense, which will be their final evolution. Tim says if they win, they leave as champ and the title is vacated. He says if they lose, we get a new standard bearer will be made. He says Grey will face Tyra Mae Steele tonight. He says next week Jackson Drake's final evolution will be against....

Harlem Lewis then comes out. Lewis says if Drake is having one last match, he wants him. Tim says none of this and says this isn't going off the rails. Tim says he knows. Tim says he's got a match for Lewis. Tim says it's time for Harlem Lewis to get to work and everyone should clear out.

Thoughts:
This was different. I don't think Grey and Drake had to leave the brand. They are at the Performance Center and in Florida most of the time anyway, and they could hold onto the titles until they lose them...and they could just lose them soon. It's not necessarily awful and maybe more of a matter of opinion, but I like my way over this decision. I don't think this helps make the titles seem important.

Kendal Grey is in the back. She says it's one last match and title defense. She says Evolve let her find herself. She says this will forever be her last home. She says tonight's business and says Tyra's the only one who has her beat as a technical wrestler. She says she thrives when things get hard. Ken says she has taken down everyone and Tyra is next on her list. She says she will walk into NXT with momentum on her back.

Thoughts: They really re-wrote Ken's history here, completely skipping her run on Level Up. Don't get me wrong, she got a lot more popularity on Evolve than Level Up, but you could see me hyping her up back then on that show.

We go to break and return.

Harlem Lewis vs Sam Holloway

Sam's Evolve run has been weird. They've ran like 30-40 episodes and he has maybe been on 7 of them. Why? Who knows, but I hope he appears more this year.

Lewis hits some shots on Sam and is slammed twice. Lewis lariats Sam over the top. Lewis baseball slides him and hits forearms outside. Lewis is thrown crotch first into the post. Sam forearms him outside. Sam 2nd rope springboard elbow drops him for 2.

Lewis hits spears to the gut. Lewis hits forearms. Sam facekicks him. Sam foot chokes him. Lewis hits shots to the gut and Sam dropkicks him for 2. Sam pulls Lewis' arms back. Lewis dropkicks Sam.

Lewis 2nd rope elbow drops Sam's back. Sam gordbusters him. Sam misses a corner splash and then uranage's him for 2. Lewis knees him in the gut and Sam double underhook suplexes him into the buckles for 2.

Lewis knees Sam in the chin and lariats him from behind. Lewis slams him. Lewis hits a jackhammer and wins.

Thoughts: It was an okay hoss battle here. They used some power, threw each other around a bit and this match was about what I expected. I would have been okay with this going longer. I'm curious to see what this year holds for Sam.

Luca Crusafino does a video. He has a new look and is now into music. He has some goofy hat on and more colors on his clothing than  anything I've seen. He says he found his inner self. He says when Luca is vibing, he's most effective. He says he's ready to make Evolve revolve around him.

Thoughts: Wow. I was wondering what happened to Luca and apparently, he's been taking some heavy drugs. Okay, not really, but one could assume that here. This was not good.

Tyra Mae Steele is excited in the back about getting a title match. She says Kendal walked into this locker room as an undefeated amateur wrestling champ. She says she's beaten everyone in Evolve but never has faced an olympic gold medalist. She says the mat and the ring are different but all that matters is who gets the 1-2-3. She says she knows Grey is moving on but she can't afford to lose. She says she won't be satisfied until her name is in the books as the Evolve champ.

Harley Riggins vs Trill London

Har has Cam Hendrix with him. Blake calls Trill "The Electric Enigma".

Trill goes up and over then backflips. Trill hits armdrags and an armlock. Har armlocks him. Har pulls Trill down by the hair. Trill seated moonsaults off the top and armdrags him. Trill dropkicks Har out. Trill dropkicks Har into Cam outside. Trill twisting swantons the heels off the 2nd rope.

Har germans Trill inside and hits mounted shots. Har basement dropkicks him for 2. Trill hits punches and Har tilt-a-whirl slams him for 2. Trill hits punches and back elbows. Trill trips him then rolling sentons him. Trill basement dropkicks him.

Trill goes up top and Har crotches him. Har TKO's him and pins him.

Thoughts: It didn't get that much time but what we got was fine. Trill is super athletic but they are in no hurry to push him apparently. I like what we got and wish we could have gotten more.

Chuey Martinez interviews Harley and Cam after. Harley says they do whatever they want here and Chuey brings up what they did to Tate Wilder. Harley says they are in the @ss kicking business and business is booming.

Dante Chen comes in. He says Harley and Cam doesn't represent the PC and are a disgrace. Cam challenges Chen for next week and Chen agrees.

Timothy Thatcher is in the GM office and blinds himself with a flashlight. Aaron Rourke comes in. He says he believes opportunities are earned. He says Drake gets to have his final evolution next week. AR says Drake earned that. AR says Drake doesn't deserve to leave here as champ and vacate the belt like he left this place. AR says The Vanity Project have been doing the same song and dance since Day 1. He says his final straw was the 10-man tag where they left. AR says he feels like he represents Evolve and says he's the diamond in the rough here. He says he's proud to represent WWE ID. He says it's time he steps up to be the leader and wants an opportunity. He says he's the man that stops Drake from rewriting history and is the man to make sure the title stays here where it belongs. He asks Tim to give him the match. Tim says Harlem Lewis did make an argument but says he will get his time. Tim says AR's time is next week.

Thoughts
: That was bogus. Lewis won a match assuming he'd get a title shot off of it. AR did nothing and got the shot ahead of him.

WWE Evolve Women's Title - Kendal Grey (c) vs Tyra Mae Steele

This is KG's last Evolve match. KG shoots in and is suplexed off of it. Wendy Choo and Laynie Luck are in the VIP Lounge. The girls trade waistlocks and Tyra rolls her around on the mat. Tyra fireman's carry takedowns her.

Ken uses the buckles and armdrags her. KG dropkicks her in the knee then basement dropkicks her. KG is rammed into the corner and thrown. KG is thrown hard into the buckles. KG slides between her legs and Tyra slams her down with the double leg. Tyra baseball slides her off the apron. We go to break and return.

Tyra running corner spears her three times. Tyra slams her down for 2. Tyra chinlocks her on the mat. KG hits elbows to the gut. KG sunset flips her for 2. KG hits chops. Tyra hip attacks her off the up and over. Tyra karelin's lifts her three times.

Tyra corner spears her for 2. Tyra sits on her back and chinlocks her. KG hits elbows to the gut and Tyra knees her in the gut. KG escapes a suplex then they collide in mid-air. KG knees her out of the corner and hits back elbows. KG germans her. KG then pulls down the straps. KG exploders her.

KG step up ddt's her out of the corner. KG knocks her off the buckles. Tyra olympic slams her for 2. Tyra germans her. They trade roll-up's. KG jumping flatliners her and pins her.

Thoughts
: It was Tyra's best bout so far. These two are both amateur wrestlers and they rightfully had a match with a lot of amateur wrestling in it. They ended it at the right time here. I thought it a solid match and I liked this. Grey won as expected and who knows what happens with the Women's Title now.

Grey thanks everyone for the support. She says Evolve gave her a place to find herself. She says she wouldn't be able to do it without the fans. She says she will take over NXT every Tuesday just like she did NXT. Grey then gives Timothy Thatcher the belt and they hug. We get "Thank You, Kendal" chants and Ken touches the Evolve logo.

We get a highlight video on Kendal Grey to close the show.

Overall thoughts: It was a good show and an important one for Evolve. Kendal Grey is gone and Jackson Drake and The Vanity Project will be gone as well next week. I don't love Timothy Thatcher as the new GM/Foreman, but we will give it a chance and see how it goes. Harlem/Holloway was the heavyweight battle it seemed like it would be and I liked it. Riggins/London worked a bit better than I expected but we didn't get to see too much of it. Luca Crusifino has a new gimmick that is not going to work. The main was solid and probably Tyra's best match yet. We also got a nice sendoff video for Kendal. Season 2 of Evolve is here and this was a good way to reset things. I know I'm definitely curious to see where things go next week. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall, though it definitely got close to a 7.

1 comment :

  1. Giving Aaron Rourke the last championship match of the unbeaten champion Jackson Drake is definitely a choice, but my guess is they probably want to put the belt on Harlem, but they don't want Jackson Drake taking a clean lose to him either for some reason, so they'll probably just do a tournament or gauntlet or something where he wins it. Kendal was a great fighting champion, and even though Tyra lost really got her best match with Kendal, so she got put over well as someone to keep an eye out for because I feel she may be winning the title sooner than later. First Stevie Turner was the prime minister of Evolve and now Timothy Thatcher is the foreman of Evolve. I notice the GMs like having their own gimmicks and personas within their roles now too.
