Axiom vs Apollo Crews

It's a bit of a rare face vs face match here. Nathan Frazer is with Ax.

Ax wristlocks AC. AC waistlock takedowns him. AC waistlocks him and takes him down by the arm. Ax cravates him. Ax rolls and headflips out of a wristlock but AC avoids the dropkick. AC back elbows Ax. Ax 2nd rope diving armdrags him then dropkicks him. Ax goes for a top and is forearmed. AC overhead belly to belly suplexes him.

AC suplexes him for 2. AC lariats him and chops him. Ax hits chops and forearms. AC corner splashes him for 2. AC chinlocks him. Ax hits strikes and slaps him. Ax dropkicks him. Ax half-nelson suplexes him then PK's him for 2. AC lifts him out of the triangle. Ax hurricanrana's him off a powerbomb attempt for 2.

AC slides out and Ax topes him. Ax is caught off the buckles and hit with a fallaway slam him for 2. Ax top rope spanish flies him then hits a golden ratio kick to win.

Thoughts: The fallaway slam spot they did was cool. Apollo didn't really fly here which was surprising but Ax did some. It was fine but it was a lot more grounded than I had expected. 

Karmen Petrovic vs Ivy Nile

They lock up and let go. Ivy back elbows her and throws her down backwards. KP hits kicks on Ivy then throws her down backwards. KP then poses. KP rolls her up for 2 and bodyscisors her. KP puts her legs behind Ivy's head and pushes. Ivy turns it into a pin attempt. KP tilt-a-whirl bodypresses her.

KP then grounded armlocks her. Ivy blocks a gut kick then lariats her down. Ivy stomps KP. Ivy flying chest kicks her in the corner and hits forearms there. Ivy gorilla press drops her. Ivy pulls KP's arms backwards. KP flips and upkicks her to escape. KP chops her and Ivy forearms her. KP running lariats her then hits flying forearms. 

KP hits a soul foot to the chest. KP sliding kicks her and high kicks her. KP slingblades her for 2. Ivy euros KP then delay suplexes her for 2. KP crucifixes her for 2. KP superkicks her in the head then corkscrew kicks her in the head to win.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good. KP had some very weak strikes here. Ivy didn't get to do a ton and kind of dropped her on a gorilla press slam. KP got a big upset win here as NXT folk rarely ever beat main roster people. We'll have to see what that ends up meaning.

Overall thoughts: It seems like we are going back to the old days where we only had 2 matches. The men's match was decent but the girls match didn't really impress. I wouldn't recommend this one and just thought it was average.
