Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/05/wwe-lfg-5172026-season-3-episode-4.html
We are at the Performance Center. Elijah Holyfield is back from injury. Johnny Russo, who is the lead writer of NXT, says he likes to write out promos then have the wrestler tweak it to make it feel like it's theirs. Elijah says he's back to establish himself and show everyone he would have won if he didn't get injured in season 2 of WWE LFG.
Elijah Holyfield does a promo in the ring at the NXT Arena. He says he was building momentum then he tore his bicep. He says he got p!ssed as if he didn't get injured, he would have won LFG Season 2. He says his uppercut is ready to break jaws.
Matt Bloom, Booker T, Natalya, Kevin Owens and Bubba are there. Tonight is Braxton Cole vs Andre Chase. Bloom says Chase is a mechanic. Bubba says they aren't bringing him to LFG, but borrowing him from NXT. Kali Armstrong is called a stud by Bloom and she's facing Sirena Linton. Bloom says this is a big match for Linton and she has to fight from underneath. She says Sirena has been here for a while and she's in a spot you don't want to be in. Nathan Cranton then fights Elijah Holyfield. Bloom wants Elijah to build on what he started. Booker says this is more of an opportunity for Nathan.
Owens says he doesn't have a match and asks if he can do commentary. Booker is bothered by this. Owens says Booker blazed the trail. Booker then laughs.
Andre Chase, who is now fired, talks about himself. He says he does it all here in NXT. He says he's been in NXT for 5 years and has been wrestling for 19 years. He says he was a young wrestler once. He says he got better from more experienced wrestlers giving him feedback. Chase says Cole takes feedback well. Bubba says it's smart guy vs smart guy.
Bubba talks to Chase and Cole. He says the fans don't know Cole is smart and they need to show the fans that. Bubba says a heel cheats as they can't outwrestle the face. Cole says Bubba is the perfect coach for him and he needs to manipulate people. Cole says the goal is put on TV level performance so he can get on NXT.
Owens asks Booker T for advice. Booker tells him to stick to the stats and add some soundbytes. Owens wants to use the shucky ducky quack quack line.
Owens, Vic Joseph and Jeremy Borash are on commentary for the next match.

We are at the Evolve arena for this. Thea Hail, Uriah Connors and Harlem Lewis are in the front row. Cole reads a book on his way to the ring.
They shake hands. Cole wristlocks him. AC reverses it. Cole rolls out then AC pulls him down as he tries to get up. AC crossbodies him then side headlock takeovers him. Cole punches him then flapjacks him onto the top buckle. Cole neckbreakers him for 2.
Cole chokes AC on the ropes. Cole cravates him and does a nice job with it. AC rolls him and boots him out of the corner. Cole ddt's him. Cole twists AC's head. Cole mocks the crowd's chant. AC suplexes him.
Cole misses a corner splash and is hit with a swinging neckbreaker for 2. AC chops him in the corner. AC is sent shoulder first into the corner. Cole grabs his book. The ref takes it and he low blows AC. Cole rolls up AC and pins him.
Thoughts: I didn't see a lot of the story outside of the finish. The bout was acceptable though with no real botches, just there was not so much story.
Bubba talks to Cole and Chase after. Bubba says the book was the finish and everyone needed to know about the book. Bubba says he wanted to see him reading the book and says he wanted to see the ref take it from him. Bubba says he doesn't expect Cole to know that.
Bloom talks to Chase and Cole. Bloom tells him to get heat before the pin and tells him not to be afraid to make an @ss out of yourself. Bloom thanks Chase for doing this. Bloom says he sees Cole getting better. Chase says Cole listens.
We see Sirena Linton working out with Kali Armstrong. Nat says they are doing too much in their match and will be tired out. Nat thinks their match will be amazing. Nat say she sees the b!tch in her. Sirena says they can put on a banger. Kali says she likes working with people who are newer than her.

SL wristlocks her. Kali rolls and kips up. Kali side headlocks her. Kali shoulders her over. Kali snapmares her then SL snapmares her back. SL takes a reverse monkey flip which looked good. Kali corner spears her. Kali corner facekicks SL.

Kali kicks her in the gut. SL backrolls her for 2. SL back elbows her then misses a flip off the top. Kali powerslams her. Kali runs the ropes and running shoulders her over. Kali pins her.
Thoughts: The crowd didn't react as much as they should have. Linton looked a lot better here than she did in the past and they had a power vs flying match. This wasn't bad.
Natalya says both girls did great and loved Linton's monkey flip. Kali boots her in the gut and hits corner spears. Nat says she loves Kali as a heel. Bloom tells them to stick with the simple stories and puts over the reverse monkey flip spot.
Linton is crying and says she wants to be the best. Bloom tells her to try and enjoy moments like this.
Nathan Cranton talks Elijah Holyfield's injury. Booker talks to NC. NC says he doesn't care who Elijah's dad is and he wants to be the most exciting guy in the ring. Booker says it's easy to get yourself over but everyone looks at you when you get someone else over. Booker calls NC a student of the game.
Booker tells Elijah that time off is your worst enemy. He says he wants to see patience from him and says not to rush. We see Elijah and NC practice the match.
Elijah Holyfield vs Nathan Cranton
This is at the NXT arena.
They lock up and Eli backs him up in the corner. NC waistlocks him then Eli takes him down off of it. NC front facelocks him and shoulders him over. Eli flying knees him for 2. Eli slams him for 2.
Eli grabs him by the hair. NC whips him out of the ring. Eli is sent into the post. NC running boots him and clubs him. NC backbreakers him for 2. NC suplexes him for 2. Eli backdrops him and NC keeps his side headlock on.
Eli flying shoulders him and then shoulders him over. Eli spinebusters him. NC misses a rainmaker and NC does a great sell for an uppercut. Eli pins him.
Thoughts: I liked the finish a lot as it was safe and looked good. NC was noticeably thinner here than he was on Evolve. I think NC needed to show a bit more personality here. This was basically all about waiting for Eli's comeback where he could be explosive. The finish helped this one but it wasn't the most exciting bout. I'd say it was average.
Booker loves the match in the back. Eli says this match gave him confidence. Shawn Michaels talks to them. He says they are going to make everyone scared of Eli's right hand. Shawn says people can't be tossing him around.
NC says it's great to always get feedback and says he was told to sell his size more. Eli says it'll be the start of a great season and he'll be ready if he gets the contract.
Overall thoughts: It was a pretty straight forward and understandable show. It made sense. The coaches talked about the match before it happened and then we heard from the wrestlers. The match happened then they reviewed the match afterwards. This was fine and there was nothing wrong with this show, though it's not must see TV.
