WOW Women of Wrestling 5/9/2026 Season 6, Episode 31

We are in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dave McLane and Nigel Zane are on commentary.

Sibley Scoles find Ashley Blaze and Tara Strike in the back. Tara says someone poisoned her lungs and she can't see.

Abilene Maverick and Paola Mayfield come out. Ab says she knows this is the moment we have all been waiting for. Ab says they were missing inaction as they were dancing on tabletops around exclusive clubs. Ab is surprised that Penelope Pink is the champ. Ab says Paola should be the champ. Ab says they are back and are here to take Tormenta's #1 contender spot.

Tormenta comes out. She can't get Ab's and Paola's names right. Tormenta says she fought Paola beefore and always beat her. Tor says she wants Paola to show her that she's the best in the ring. Tor says she will break her face. Dave tells Ab to let Paola speak as she knows what Tor said. Paola says how dare you to Tor. She says she will prove that she will break her face. Dave then sets up a Tormenta vs Paola match.

Gabriella Cruz and Lil J-Boogie are interviewed. Gab says she feels good and doesn't know why Gen is so stressed and angry. Gab says she trained hard for this and says they are ready for her.

Genesis vs Gabriella Cruz

Drucilla Blade is with Gen. Lil J-Boogie is with Gab. Gen nails Gab from behind before the bout starts. Gab side headlocks her. Gab wristlocks her. Gen yanks on the arm. Gen flips out of it using the ropes. Gab side headlock takeovers her then Gen does it back to her. Gen sweeps her and they take a break.

Gab trips her then flying headscissors her. Gab springboard twisting crossbodies her and Gen goes out. Gab nails Drucilla Blade outside. Gen rams Gab's back into the apron edge. Gab is double suplexed on the floor. 

Gab's throat is pulled over the top rope and Gen gets a 2 count off of it. Gen knees her in the gut and legdrops her. Gen then headscissors her. Gen half crabs her.

Gab rolls her up and Gen boots her over. Gen chokes her in the corner. Gab forearms her and Gen spin kicks her. Gen chokes Gab over the 2nd rope with her leg. Blade gets a cheap shot in. Gen spinning heel kicks Gab for 2.  

Gen misses a corner splash. Gab hits forearms and step up knees her. They double clothesline each other. The girls trade forearms. Gab thesz presses her and hits mounted shots. Gab flying lariats her. Gab backsplashes her. Gabe corner meteora's her and water wheel drops her for 2. Gen finlay rolls her for 2. Gen hits a spinning ddt for 2.

Blade gets on the apron and distracts Gab. Lil J Boogie fights Blade outside. Gen full-nelson slams Gab and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a good match and one of the better WOW bout's of the year...though that list is starting to get longer and longer. The two clicked and got the fans into it. Gab was a good face as usual and they showed some spirit. Gen hit a nice spinning heel kick here. 

Gen gets on the mic after. She says she said no dancing in the ring before the match started. Gen says she never had a title match vs Tormenta or The Classmaster. She says she has been outcast, overlooked and exiled from WOW a usual. Gen says Pink will give her a title match if she wants to prove she's a real WOW champ. Dave says on commentary that Gen could be the next WOW champ.

Genesis and Drucilla Blade are interviewed. Gen says she said everything she needed to say in the ring. She says she called out Penelope Pink and says the only person who didn't get an opportunity is her. She says Lana better set it up as her and Blade are ready. 

Penelope Pink and Lana Star talk in their locker room. 

Pink says there's a reason Gen was exiled in the first place. She says she will send her back to the island of irrelevancy if she wants. She says Abilene Maverick can bring all the farm animals she wants, she's over it. She says Kalaki can hand 10 with the best of them and she will send her out of WOW.

Santana Garrett comes out to do commentary for the main. She says she's observing and wants to see how things play out.

Kalaki the Island Girl is interviewed. She says she's excited and can't wait. Destiny Diesel comes in and wishes her luck. She say she knows she will win.

Next week has Paola Mayfield vs Tormenta.

Penelope Pink and Lana Star are interviewed. Pink says Kalaki is tough but she's not the best thing WOW has seen. Pink says they will be where they are after this - on top where they belong.

They lock up. Kal wristlocks her then Pink reverses it. Kal side headlocks her and takes her over. Pink headscissors her and Kal ropebreaks. Pink headlocks her and shoulders her over. Pink shoulders her over. Kal hits armdrags. Kal hiptosses her and corner splashes her.

Kal basement dropkicks her for 2. Pink sliding germans her. Pink sits on her on the 2nd rope and Lana Star pulls Kal against the 2nd rope. Pink misses a corner charge and takes a high kick. Pink's head is banged off the buckles. Kal 2nd rope crossbodies her for 2.

Pink 2nd rope blockbusters her for 2. Pink mocks Kal's dance. They trade forearms. Pink eye pokes her. Pink pulls Kal over the 2nd rope then bangs her head off the buckles. Pink mocks Kal with dances. Kal rams the 2nd rope into Pink's crotch. 

Kali atomic drops her and Pink codebreakers the arm. Kal headbutts and gutwrench powerslams her for 2. Pink sliding lariats her for 2. Kal snapmare drivers her. Pink kneelifts her in the face and pins her.

Thoughts: It was acceptable just not super great or anything. Kal just doesn't have the offense or logic for that. But she sold, Pink taunted her and Pink eventually pulled off the win as expected. It wasn't overly exciting or anything but it's not like it was a bad match.

Overall thoughts: It was a solid episode of WOW. There were only 2 matches but both got enough time to play out and we got some interviews and a segment setting things up for next week. Genesis/Cruz was one of the better WOW matches of the year. I had no issues with it and thought it was good. I'd give it a 6 out of 10.
