WWE LFG 5/9/2026 Season 3, Episode 3

WWE LFG 5/9/2026 Season 3, Episode 3

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/05/wwe-lfg-522026-season-3-episode-2.html

Matt Bloom, Booker T, Kevin Owens, Natalya and Bubba Ray Dudley talk. Matt wants to set up a tag match with PJ Vasa and Sirena Linton vs Layla Diggs and Masyn Holiday. Matt says Masyn is new to the game and doesn't understand what they do, but she's picking it up.

Matt says Trill London has so much charisma and says he only sees Jeff Hardy in him. Bubba says, "you think?". Matt says Trill gets injured more than they would like. Matt says Braxton Cole is an intelligent athlete and a bit of an overthinker. Matt says they want him to go off of his instincts.

They say Kam Hendrix vs Tate Wilder is also tonight. Kam needs to be ready under his new name and says he can be hokey. Matt says Tate rides bulls and likes to ride bulls. Matt says he can't get bored with the basics. Matt says both guys will cut a promo. Matt says Kam has all the tools and needs to put them  together.

Bubba talks to Cole and asks who he is. Cole is from New Hampshire. He played football and wasn't thinking of wrestling. He says he got a random message from WWE to tryout and he had a contract. Bubba tells Trill London to make him forget about Jeff Hardy and says to give me Trill London. Trill says he's not a Jeff copy but he has some of his moves.

Bubba says they need to show how Cole is smart and how he outsmarted Trill. Bubba tells Trill to do what he can do and get the people chanting for Trill.

Braxton Cole vs Trill London

Trill has already been cut by WWE. We are at the Evolve arena.

Trill trips him off front facelock that he was put in. Trill dropkicks him from behind. Trill baseball slides and Cole catches him in the ring skirt. Cole boots Trill in the head. Cole grabs Trill by the head then bringing neckbreakers him for 2.

Cole rips Trill's shirt and they chop each other. Cole stomps him. Cole release suplexes him for 2. Cole sleepers him and Trill backdrops him out. Trill hits running forearms. Trill tries a flapjack and Cole tries to roll and gets dropped on his neck.

Trill dropkicks him out then slingshot plancha's him. Bubba says Trill is reckless and Booker says Trill is off balance. Booker says Trill isn't a flyer. Trill messes up a slingshot seated moonsault. Cole corner splashes him. Booker says Trill is gassed. Trill wins with a top rope swanton.

Thoughts:
As always, keep in mind that they let us see what they want to in these matches and they focus on what they want to. Cole got most of the offense here. Trill got sloppy towards the end when it was his turn. Trill wasn't real effective as a face in this and it wasn't that good.

Bubba says things were going well. Bubba says if Trill does fancy stuff, it's all on Trill. He says Trill couldn't gets his legs up at the end and he needs to figure out what he's good at flying wise and don't do what he can't do. Trill says he wants to keep doing stuff until he gets it right. Bloom says he always sees his name on medical reports and says he needs to find a moveset that keeps him healthy. Cole says they had the crowd and lost them. Cole says it's all about learning and getting better and there's some things he took that he felt like he couldn't do right 10/10 times.

Booker talks to Diggs and Masyn. Masyn ran track in college. She says she prefers to wrestle with Diggs than wrestle alone. We see clips of them practicing their match and they barely connect. Booker says we only want the face to shine, the heel to get heat then we want out. Diggs says they are used to working heel but are faces here.

PJ Vasa and Sirena Linton vs Layla Diggs and Masyn Holiday

Sirena was just cut about 2 weeks ago with Trill. We are the Evolve arena.

SL boots Diggs in the gut. Diggs flips out of a snapmare. Diggs armlocks her. Masyn 2nd rope double axe handles SL's arm. Masyn armlocks her. Masyn hiptosses her and armdrags her into an armlock. Diggs trips PJ and PJ Front facelocks her. Diggs' team hits a double boot on PJ. PJ double clotheslines them.

PJ corner splashes Masyn then she corner hip attacks her. SL la silla's Masyn in the corner for 2. PJ slams Masyn then misses a falling headbutt drop. Diggs and SL get in. Diggs hits a leg lariat then hits kicks on PJ. Diggs flips out of a lariat and overhead kicks her.

Diggs boots SL out of the corner. SL is held for natural selection and pinned.

Thoughts: As always, they see what they want us to see. We saw most of this without a lot of interruptions from the coaches. It was mostly a clean match though Diggs has a habit of being sloppy. Diggs is pretty much in the same spot she started in 2-3 years ago and Masyn is more basic. Both are on Evolve and I'm skeptical about either being around that long. PJ was fine. This was average.

Booker talks to the girls and said they did a good job. Booker says there wasn't a lot of flaws and says the delivery and execution was good. Bloom tells Sirena and PJ to ask what they can get better at if they are ever told a match is awesome.

Matt wants Masyn and Diggs to be more clear faces. Matt says they flew through PJ coming in. Sirena says there's always something to improve on. Matt tells them all to stay the course.

We meet Tate Wilder. He's from Arizona and grew up with 5 brothers. He says they grew up doing rodeo and extreme sports. He says he did anything that pushed the limits and we see him flipping off of stuff. He says he spent the first 15 months in WWE injured.

Kam Hendrix jokes saying he's excited for his first season of WWE. He says people don't understand that everything matters. Natalya says nice guys finish last and says those people become doormats. Kam says he feels like the clock is ticking on him. Kam says if you aren't evolving, anyone can be let go.

Owens practices promos with Tate. Owens says to call out the biggest guy in the world. Owens says he's a level headed guy. Owens says he doesn't look like Tate and doesn't know how he would dress as he never lived that way.

Tate Wilder does a promo before his match. He says there's a lot of talented wrestlers on the roster. He says he'll take the crazy risks and jump off the cliff to see if he can fly. He says he acts first and thinks second. He says if you want to make your name on NXT, you call out Kam Hendrix. He says if Kam thinks it's showtime, he will prove it's my time.

Kam Hendrix comes out. Kam says this is his show. Kam says Tate's daredevil stuff got him to LFG. Kam says he likes that he's taking a swing at the baddest man but it's stupid. Kam says he succeeds where he is about to fail.

Thoughts
: Neither one of those were good but they are cold promos with wrestlers that are only so much known by the crowd.

Kam Hendrix vs Tate Wilder

Kam shoves him and piefaces him. Tate slaps him then dropkicks him. Kam punches him then hits him in the spine. Kam slams him. Tate chokes him on the ropes. Kam hits punches in the corner then backbreakers him. Tate cobra clutch swinging drops him.

Kam butt drops Tate's back. Tate hits shots to the gut. Kam knee lifts him. Kam cobra twists him. Tate facekicks him then chest kicks him down. Tate hits shoulderblocks. Tate twisting suplexes him for 2. Tate asai moonsaults him for 2. Kam flying single leg dropkicks him then backdrop uranage's him to win.

Thoughts: It was a decent little match with Tate being an okay face and Kam hitting some good shots. Kam's showtime kick always looks so good and smooth. It was simple and effective...but Tate needs work on the mic.

Kevin Owens says they did good and wants to see what they said to each other. Owens says Kam did something not appreciated towards the end. Kam says it wasn't his best performance. He says he skipped a line. Owens tells Tate his promo sounded good. We see Steve Corino. Owens asks what happened at the end.

Tate says he wanted to beat up Kam for punking him at the end. Kam says he tripped. Tate says  they have actual beef now. Kam says he feels disappointed in himself. Bloom says Kam needs to take a step back and see how he gets bigger.

Matt Bloom talks to Kam. Kam says he didn't feel like himself. Bloom says if you don't make mistakes, you don't grow. Bloom says to watch the match back and see what he picks up. He says he will pull him from LFG for a few weeks. Kam says he didn't feel like himself and says he went home and almost cried. Kam says he told himself he's blowing it. He says it can't happen again.

Thoughts
: Kam has been regularly pushed as a top guy on Evolve and just got on NXT.

Overall thoughts
: It's LFG. It's always a bit of an unusual show to rate. It's always a little out of date due to being taped, things don't pan out as we are lead to believe and we had multiple fired people on this show. The matches are edited and they show us what they want us to see. This episode was a little bit more of a documentary than anything else and that was fine. It was nice to see some behind the scenes stuff and see what the coaches thought about various happenings. If that's something that interests you, you might find some enjoyment out of it. It was nothing must see but it's something different and what we got was alright.
