WWE Monday Night Raw 5/4/2026

Note - The New Day are gone from WWE. It's been a long and good run from them. I figured Kofi would be there for life. They had been losing some steam though and were on the back end of their run. WWE is running low on midcard acts and I don't think they will be as easy to replace as WWE thinks. The New Day could just be thrown into anything and still get reactions and have good matches.

We are in Omaha, NE. Corey Graves and Michael Cole are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive and hangout. El Grande Americano now has The Creed's wearing masks and has given them new names.

Roman Reigns arrives and Adam Pearce immediately goes up top him. They argue into gorilla position. Adam tells Roman that Fatu is not here. Seth Rollins then stares down Roman and says he's in his way.

Seth Rollins comes out and Bron Breakker attacks Seth. Bron hits mounted shots on him on the floor. Bron gorilla press drops him on the rail. Officials come to break it up. Bron throws the guards into the rail and sends Seth into the steps.  

Bron then spears Seth hard in the ring. 

The Judgment Day talk in their hangout. Liv says Vaquer is injured and asks Perez why Finn Balor was in their clubhouse. Liv says JD will take care of Finn tonight. Liv asks why Finn thinks its okay to talk to Perez. Liv asks Perez why she didn't tell her about her. Perez says she should have something but Liv knows she's loyal to them. Liv says Perez and Raquel are the next tag champs. Liv makes Perez promise not to keep any more secrets from the family.

Finn Balor vs JD McDonaugh

JD wristlocks him. Finn is taken down. Finn side headlocks him. Finn armdrags him into an armlock. JD hits corner spears on Finn. Finn goes up and over then hits chops. Finn russian legsweeps him for 2.

JD trips him into a legdrop for 2. JD kicks Finn in the leg then knee drops the back of his leg. JD elbow drops Finn's leg. Finn basement dropkicks him then lariats him over the top. Dominik Mysterio trips Finn then JD knocks Finn out of the ring from behind. Roxanne Perez comes out.

We go to break and return. JD hits shots on Finn. Liv and Raquel come out. Finn elbow slices JD. Finn hits punches on JD. JD botches a back body drop then Finn stomps him. Finn slingblades him. Dom gets on the apron and is lariated. JD standing spanish flies Finn for 2. Finn goes up top and Dom crotches him up top. The ref sees it and ejects Dom. JD top rope moonsaults and Finn gets his knees up. Finn slingblades him. Liv get on the apron and throws Perez a hammer. 

Finn john woo's JD. Perez hits Finn with the hammer. JD headbutts Finn and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a big win for JD even with the cheating. This was mostly shenanigans here and the interference got a little silly. It wasn't Finn and JD's best night. They pushed the new tension between Liv and Perez here.

Jackie Redmond interview Seth, who is hunched over. Seth says he will be fine for Backlash. He says he told Bron that if you take chances, you better be able to finish the job. Seth says he's not dead yet. 

The Vision talk in the back. Bron goofs around with Theory and Logan and Heyman asks if Seth if still breathing. Logan says he will hospitalize Joe Hendry if he gets his hands on him. Heyman says Logan isn't fighting Joe tonight as he will beat him to death and says Theory will fight him instead. Theory tells Logan just to watch. Bron says they will get them all one by one. 

Penta and Je'Von Evans vs Ethan Page and Rusev

Rusev rams Evans into the corner and hits corner spears. Rusev hits punches. Evans boots him out of the corner and hits punches. Rusev back elbows him. Evans is held for a Page punch to the gut. Evans chops Page. Evans suplexes Page then kips up (Terrale Tempo's viralplex). 

Evans dropkicks Page. Penta enzugiri's Page in the corner then handstand double pendulum kicks him. Rusev takes a double superkick then Evans flying headscissors Rusev out. Evans slingshot plancha's Rusev. Penta hits a made in Japan on Page for 2. We go to break and return. 

Rusev corner splashes Penta. Penta springboard lariats Rusev on the apron. Rusev pulls Evans off the apron, which stops him from tagging Penta. Page hits Penta from behind and pounds on him. Rusev goes into the steps off a missed charge outside. Evans is hot tagged in. Evans superkicks Page then lariats him.

Evans kips down and up into a stunner on Page. Evans germans Page then suicide dives Rusev. Evans springboard lariats Page for 2. Evans misses a top rope moonsault. Page high kicks him. Evans corkscrew kicks him off the ropes then Penta springboard ddt's Page. Evans topes Rusev into the commentary table. Evans goes up top and Page pushes him down.

Penta superkicks Page out. Page pulls Penta out. Rusev uranage's Penta on the commentary table. Page fisherman suplexes Penta and pins him.

Thoughts: It was an okay tag match here with the faces doing the flying and the heels squeaking one out.

Rusev pushes Page in delight and Page hugs him. 

Adam Pearce is in the ring. He says his favorite days are when he got a young wrestler signed to the brand. He says today is one of those days and we see a Sol Ruca video. Sol Ruca comes out with a new theme. Sol says it'll feel good to be officially part of Raw.

Becky Lynch comes out and interrupts. Becky says she was told this is her celebration time. Becky says Adam illegally scheduled a match for her after Mania. Sol asks if she's done. Becky says she's not. Sol says not everything is about her. Sol says she didn't expect to find out that Becky is everything people say she is - a rude, bigheaded b!tch. Becky asks Adam if he will let her talk to her like this. 

Becky asks who she is. Sol says her name and says she will kick her @ss and smash her soul if she interrupts her again. Becky goes to hit Sol but nails Adam on accident. Adam gets upset. Sol hits a botched sol snatcher on Becky.

The Uso's are interviewed. Jey says it's a big night with a contract signing. Jey says they wouldn't miss this for nothing. Jey says Fatu needs to understand how business is done. Jimmy says this is family business. Jimmy says Fatu is in deep water and is swinging for the fences. He says Fatu will see who he's messing with at Backlash. 

We return from break and Joe sings about firing Logan Paul. Logan comes out with Theory and says he can't be fired. He says he's the heart and soul of the WWE. Joe says he's glad he's here as he is going to the apology part of the song

Joe Hendry vs Austin Theory

Austin runs in and attacks Joe. Joe lariats him over the top with the mic stand still in the ring. Austin hits punches on Joe then bangs his face off the mat. Austin backbreakers him. Joe is sent hard into the buckles and goes down. Austin hits mounted shots on him. Austin suplexes Joe.

Joe suplexes Austin. Joe hits punches on Austin. Joe spinning lariats him then corner lariats him. Joe catches his crossbody and fallaway slams him. Logan nails Joe from behind for the DQ.

Thoughts: It was mostly Joe hitting his moves here before the DQ. Joe hasn't been on the main roster long but he's already over and his stock is going up fast.

Logan pounds on Joe. Joe fires back. Logan splashes Joe and hits mounted shots. The Street Profits make the save and clear out Austin and Logan. Bron Breakker comes out and does a mega thrown on Ford over the  top. Bron lariats Dawkins then germans him. Seth Rollins comes out and beats up Bron. He sends Bron into the steps. Seth hits mounted shots inside. Seth lariats Bron. Ford flip dives over the post and bangs his head off the rails. Bron spears Seth. 

Thoughts: This was a good brawl here with a bunch of people getting involved.

The Judgment Day is interviewed. Liv says their focus is getting all the gold and crushing anyone in their way. Liv says it's about Raquel and Perez now. Raquel says Brie's and Paige's nostalgia tour is over. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria come in. Bay complains about them cheating. Lyra challenges them. Liv says family's help each other win and they should try that.

Oba Femi comes out and says The Oba Femi Open Challenge will now begin. Alpha Academy come out. Akira goes up to Oba, backs off and tells Otis to get in.

Oba Femi vs Otis

They lock up. Oba shoves him and they shoulder battle. They shove each other and Oba hits a hard flying euro. Oba throws him on a backdrop. Oba puts him on the 2nd rope and sitout powerbombs him. Oba pins him.

Thoughts: It was sadly a short squash but it did what it was supposed to. Oba hit a very hard flying euro and him throwing Otis on the backdrop was impressive.

Seth Rollins is limping in the back. He runs into The Street Profits and Joe Hendry. Ford and Seth argue. Ford says nobody trusts him. Seth says he doesn't trust himself and says they are in the same fight. Seth says if he stays out of his way, he'll stay out of their way.

We see a taped segment with Adam Pearce hosting a taped segment with Iyo Sky and Asuka. Iyo says Asuka is what she says she is and is her mentor. She says she looks up to her and loved her. She says she still respects her. She says she never wanted it to come to this. She says Asuka has changed. Asuka says nothing changed. Iyo says the Asuka she looked up to isn't here. Iyo says she has to fight her. Asuka says she's disrespectful and says the Iyo she taught isn't here anymore. She asks who she is. She says Iyo is her biggest disappointment and she's done with her. She says she's cutting her out of her life for good. Iyo says she's ready for Asuka. They go face to face and Asuka blue mists her. Adam Pearce yells for a doctor.

The announcers talk about the Grande vs Grande mask vs mask match contracting signing from AAA this week. The Creed's sent El Grande Americano II through a table.

Jackie interviews El Grande Americano and Los Americanos Hermanos (The Creed's). Grande says the no contact rule only applies in Mexico so all bets are off here. Grande says they helped him out in inspiration of Chad Gable, who he says is out on injury. He says there will only be El Grande Americano left and it's him. Los Hermanos are now Julio and Bruto Credo.

El Grande Americano Original and Los Americanos Hermanos (Bruto and Julio Credo) vs El Grande Americano II and Los Americanos (Rayo and Bravo)

Grande II throws his robe at his opponents and all 6 fight. Bravo is thrown out then Grande II is lariated out. Bruto pop up drops Bravo. Bruto euros Bravo. Bravo takes a double back body drop. Rayo superkicks Julio and hits chops. Julio overhead belly to belly suplexes Rayo then release germans him. Rayo takes coener attcks then a hiptoss by Grande OG. 

The two Grande's lock up. Grande OG slaps him. Rayo trips Grande OG and Grande II baseball slides him. We go to break and return. Rayo gets on Julio's back with a sleeper. Julio drops him backwards. 

Grande OG back body drops Grande II and pounds on him. Grande OG exploders Bravo. Grande OG russian legsweeps Grande II. Grande OG does a reverse angle slam. Grande OG germans Rayo and Bravo. Grande OG cannonballs Grande II off the apron and lariats Rayo on the floor. Grande OG is pushed off the top. Rayo takes a top rope superplex + top rope moonsault. Grande II flying headbutts Bruto. The Grande's bang heads in the air and Bravo top rope splashes Grande OG for 2.

Julio apron powerbombs Rayo. Grande OG hits a chaos theory on Bravo. Grande OG top rope diving headbutts Bravo and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a wild one as expected. It was entertaining with a lot of people in masks flying around. 

We have the contract signing for Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu. Adam Pearce is in the ring. Roman and Fatu come out. The crowd acknowledges Roman and says it's the sound of respect. He says Fatu grinded for 12 years and but Roman says he's been here for over 12 years. He says he brought Solo in, so he brought Fatu in as well. Roman says there needs to be a system and a code of respect.

Roman says Fatu disrespected him with a move he saved for desperate measures. He says you pull out the Tongan death grip when you are surrounded 8 to 1 in a bar, not to your family and your tribal chief. Fatu says he is desperate and has no other choice but to take him out, take the title and everything that comes with it. He says he will squeeze the company out of every cent like the company did to his family. He says all gas and no breaks means never going back to where they came from. Fatu says he's desperate to do anything for his household.

Roman says he's been grinding for multiple house holds and is worried about 170 kids and generation after generation of his family. Roman says this is his ring. He says they are equals but in the ring, Fatu is beneath him. Fatu goes for the Tongan death grip. Roman throws him into the corner and throws a desk chair at his head. Fatu then goes for the death grip again.

Roman hits mounted corner punches and Fatu goes for the grip again and again. Adam Pearce tries to break it up. Roman is chokeslammed onto the table. Officials come down to break it up and Fatu spikes the contract.

Thoughts: It was a good segment. They went at it hard and it looked good. I like them putting over the Tongan death grip and referencing Haku's bar fights.

Overall thoughts: It was a good Raw. We had some nice segments with the big Vision vs Hendry/Profits/Seth fight. The contract signing fight was good. Evans' tag was fine. I liked Oba/Otis and The Creed's now wearing masks is campy fun. I thought they did a good job of setting up the PPV and they stepped up after getting slammed all week long by the IWC (anger about last week's firings and rumors of an unknown wrestler being forced to take a paycut). I'd give this a 7 out of 10 and I enjoyed this.
