CMLL 5/15/2026 Viernes Espectacular

The announcer welcomes us to the show as usual.

Pierrothito vs. Pequeno Olimpico vs. Ultimo Dragoncito

Everyone shoves each other and UD is double stomped on. Olim boots UD over then throws Pier by the arm. Olim hip throws Pier. Pier flying headscissors him. Pier trips UD then UD armdrags him. UD is then sent into the rails.

Olim slingshot armdrags Pier. Pier powerbombs him for 2. UD rolls up Pier. Pier armdrags UD then he misses a corner spear on him. UD tope con hilos Pier through the ropes. Olim top rope plancha's both opponents outside. 

Olim lariats UD then stomps him. Pier is tripped then UD top rope plancha's Olim. UD double lariats his opponents. UD dropkicks Olim out. UD topes con hilos both opponents through the ropes outside. Pier takes a hurricanrana from UD. 

UD is double booted out. Pier trips Olim and does an indian deathlock without the legs tied up. Pier submits Olim.

Thoughts: It would have been better as a normal tag match or a singles match. We had a lot of flying here and they tried to do what they could with it, but it wasn't anything too great. UD mostly got double teamed here. This was just average.

Cerebro Negro Jr. & Virus vs. Pantera Jr. & Rey Cometa

1st Fall - Pant and Virus trade armlocks. Pant side headlocks him hen trips him. Pant pulls on the leg and they stand off. Pant kips up from the mat and armdrags Virus. Virus elbow drops him. Pant armdrags him from the mat off a kip up and they stand off.

Negro and Rey go at it. Rey takes him down by the arm. Rey rolls him up for 2. Rey spinning handstand headscissors him from the mat. Rey chops him. CN headscissors him down from the mat. They shove each other. 

Pant armdrags and dropkicks Virus when they get in. Pant bodyscissors rolls him. Pant springboard diving armdrags him. Pant handstands in the corner and spinning hadscissors CN down. Rey diving headscissors CN from the apron. Pant top rope moonsaults Virus. Pant then does an octopus and submits Virus. Pantera Jr.'s team wins the fall.

2nd Fall -  Virus shoulders Rey over then kicks him while he's down. Rey dropkicks him for 2. Rey tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him then does the same to CN for 2. CN and Rey go at out. CN chops him and sends him into the rails. Virus comes in and hits lariats on Pant.

Virus chops Pant in the corner. Pant is tripped into the 2nd buckle then basement dropkicked there. Virus boots him in the back of the head. Rey is tripped into an elbow drop. CN step up on his back and double stomps him. Virus vertebreaks Rey while CN air raid crashes Pant. Virus and CN pick up stereo pins. Virus' team wins the fall.

3rd Fall - Virus back elbows Pant down. Pant takes a double facekick out. CN clubs on Virus. Virus hits nice punches on Rey. Pant springboard crossbodies CN. Rey superkicks CN outside. Pant armdrags Virus out of the ring. Pant then tope con hilos him. Rey top rope diving headscissors CN.

Rey tornillo's CN outside. Pant springboard dropkicks Virus for 2. Pant rolls up Virus for 2. CN hits a springboard splash on Rey. Virus la silla's Pant from behind on the ropes. Pant is supposed to kick out but forgets to and the ref just holds his hand there. 

Pant flying headscissors Virus. CN and Pant chop each other. Pant pumping knees CN. CN low flying knees him. Rey superkicks CN. CN la silla's Rey in the corner then tope con hilos out. Virus flips in and armdrags Rey into a pin attempt. The ref counts 3 and Virus is confused, thinking he didn't win. The ref says he won. Virus' team wins.

Thoughts: It went well until the end when 2 different pin attempts got messed up, pretty much killing this one. Virus hung in there well with the flyers and Rey's tornillo to the outside was nice. 

Keyra & Zeuxis vs. Kira & Skadi

Z = Zeuxis

1st Fall - Kira and Z go at it. Z bow and arrows her and Kira escapes. Z trips her then Kira armdrags her down. Kira rolls her up for 2 off a leapfrog. Z takes a spinning headscissors then a flying headscissors from Kira. 

Z superkicks Kira then Z and Keyra dropkick Kira together. Keyra stomps on Kira. Kira flying headscissors Keyra. Skadi comes in and hits a big boot on Keyra. Keyra throws her down by both arms and buzzsaw kicks her. Skadi trips her and kicks her in the arm. Keyra armdrags her into the ropes but Skadi handsprings and splashes her.

Z flying headscissors Skadi. Skadi running forearms Keyra then enzugiri's her on the ropes. Kira hurricanrana's Z down. Skadi springboard back elbows Keyra. Kira and Skadi pick up stereo pins. Skadi's team wins the fall.

2nd Fall - Keyra top rope crossbodies Skadi. Keyra corner dropkicks her then Z corner meteora's Skadi. Keyra stomps Skadi. Z hair throws Kira. Skadi takes a running euro in the corner then Keyra stomps on her. Kira's hands are bitten on the ropes. 

Kira is double tripped and put in a double surfboard. Skadi slides under Kira and tries to pin her opponents. Skadi takes a high kick then Keyra is lifted into an codebreaker on Skadi. Kira is passed over into a powerbomb. Kira is then held for a basement dropkick. Kira is curstomped and pinned by Keyra. Keyra's team wins the fall.

3rd Fall - Kira's head is banged off the buckles and Skadi is thrown into the front row. Keyra pulls on Kira's mask. Kira is double teamed. Skadi comes in to help. She crossbodies Z on the ropes and Kira springboard lariats Z in the back of the head. Keyra is tripped into a basement dropkick. Skadi headbutts Keyra on the apron then alley oop's her into the ropes throat first. Kira springboard tornillo's both opponents outside.

We get a tower of doom spot with Skadi powerbombing her opponents down. Kira jumps off of Skadi's shoulders and splashes Keyra. Kira top rope moonsaults Z and Keyra crucifix bombs Skadi. Keyra and Kira both pick up stereo pins. The ref tells them they need to fight it out 1v1. Kira sunset bombs her for 2. Z trips Kira and Keyra basement dropkicks Kira. Keyra pounds on Kira and takes her mask off. Keyra's team is DQ'd.

Thoughts: We hadn't had a stupid finish in a while so they did it here. The match was going okay and we sadly didn't get a real finish to it. A couple of things could have been cleaner but it wasn't anything too major. We really got a clear view of Kira's face here. I do think this could have been a little shorter.

Keyra's team stomps Skadi and Kira after. 

Blue Panther vs. Solar

BP takes him down by the arm then Solar does the same. Solar rolls him then crucifixes him. They stand off. Solar armdrags him then rolls him by the leg. BP trips him and backs off.

Solar abdominal stretches him. BP trips him then armbars him. Solar leglocks him then then rolls him upside down. BP figure four's his legs and grabs the arm. Solar fireman's carry takeovers him and they stand off. BP throws him by the arm.

BP armdrags Solar and Solar armdrags him back. Solar headscissors + hammerlocks him into a pin attempt. Solar backrolls him with a bridge. BP shoulderblocks Solar out. BP crossbodies him off the ramp. Solar top rope crossbodies him inside. BP cradles him and pins him.

Thoughts: They traded holds and did a lot of technical wrestling as expected. I didn't love the the finishing stretch as much as the flying didn't really fit in what what they were doing. It was a legends match and they did some nice holds here. It was fine.

Barbaro Cavernario, Difunto & Soberano Jr. vs. Don Callis Family (El Clon, Hechicero & Rocky Romero)

They all shove each other before the bell. Barb and Hech go at it. Hech is grabbed on the ropes by his opponents. Barb takes down Hech and grabs his leg. Hech rolls him up. Barb chops Hech then Hech chops back. Barb flying headscissors Hech out. 

Clon comes in. He hits kicks on Barb then plants off the top for a moonsault for 2. Dif corner splashes Clon then flying elbows him. RR hits corner lariats on Dif then uppercuts him. Sbo top rope rossbodies RR. Sob flying headscissors RR out. Hech rolls Sob then flips him into a kick.

Hech unties Sob's mask up top. Hech then tries to unmask him. Barb takes corner lariats from Clon and Hech. Hech front facelocks Dif. RR boots Barb in the corner. Dif takes a double kick from Hech and Clon for 2. RR punches Dif out of the ring. 

Barb is triple teamed in the corner. Sob takes a double gordbuster then a double dropkick. Clon rips Sob's mask. Hech AA's Barb. Hech punches Barb and makes Barb punch himself. Hech then bites Barb's fingers. Barb is held for boots from RR.

Hech hiptosses Dif on the ramp. Sob gets in and is triple teamed. Sob fights off the triple team. He is popped up and he hurricanrana's Hech off of it. Dif is double hiptossed into the ropes and does a double armdrag off of it. Dif flying headscissors RR. Barb la rosa suplexes Clon. Barb punches Hech then pops up Sob into a dropkick on Hech. Dif rope walk dropkicks Hech in the corner for 2.

Clon is spinebustered then dropkicked in the butt off the top. Sob stomps on Hech. RR is double kicked in the leg. RR is spinebustered then Barb springboard splashes him. Sob and Barb's backs are rammed into each other then Hech and Clon try pins on both. 

Hech and Dif trade chops and forearms. Dif walks up the buckles and springboard crossbodies him. RR running corner euros Dif. Dif sits him up top and pounds on his neck. RR top rope shiranui's Dif for 2. Sob spin kicks RR in the gut then suplexes him for 2. Clon brainbusters Sob for 2. 

Clon boots Barb out of the corner. Barb powerslams him for 2. Barb hits punches on RR. RR topes Barb. Sob top rope tornillo's Sob. Clon moonsaults off the apron onto Barb. Sob fosbury flops Clon. Dif top rope crossbodies Hech. Hech step up knees Barb in the corner then flapjacks him. Hech rolls him up and pins him. 

Thoughts: I didn't like this too much. It was heel vs heel so some of the structure was missing. It went long and just was kind of free for all at times.  

We get an ad for an NFL game in Mexico with Mascara Dorada and Soberano Jr. in NFL jerseys.

Averno, Ultimo Guerrero & Volador Jr. vs. El Sky Team (Mascara Dorada, Mistico & Neon)

The girl who sings Mistico's theme song sings the song for him.

1st Fall - Mist runs the ropes and gets booted by Av. Mist is triple teamed and Vol tries to take off his mask. UG whips Mist with a piece of clothing. Mist takes corner attacks and Vol superkicks Mist. Mist is sent into the rails outside. MD is thrown over the rails. Mist takes a double back elbow and a double boot. Mist's crotch is rammed into the post.

UG superkicks MD. UG back elbows MD in the ring. MD is tripped and kicked by Vol. MD is pulled out. UG sweeps Neon on the apron then baseball slides him off of it. UG tries to make friends with Mist and high fives him. Mist springboard twisting crossbodies him then toyota rolls him. Mist pins UG. Mistico's team wins the fall. 

2nd Fall - Neon and Vol fight. Neon spinning headscissors Vol out. Neon top rope diving headscissors UG. Neon hiptosses Av then double jump diving headscissors him. MD and UG compete for cheers. UG shoulders him over. MD walks up the buckles and dives into them for an armdrag on UG. 

Vol is pushed into UG then MD jumps off Vol's leg and flying headsscissors UG. MD flying headcissors Vol. MD is flipped into the ropes and he armdrags Vol. MD spinning headscissors Av down. MD corkscrew headscissors Vol. 

Mist comes in and is double stomped by the heels. Mist springboard double back elbows them then double armdrags him. Mist 619's Av then springboard diving headscissors Vol. UG stomps on Mist then completely unmasks him. UG puts the mask back on and the ref ignores it. Mist goes up the buckles and springboard diving corkscrew armdrags UG. Neon's team all do dives to the outside. The faces then hit a 2nd set of dives. 

Mist toyota rolls Av and his partners hit sunset flips for 2 counts. Mist's team rolls up their opponents for 2 counts. Av is up top and Mist enzugiri's him. Mist top rope spanish flies him down. Neon and MD then try pins on their opponents and all 3 get nearfalls.

Vol superkicks MD then flying headscissors Neon out. Vol slingshot headscissors Neon outside. Mist hits kicks on UG. Mist wasteland's him. Mist goes up top and is crotched. Av is popped up and knocks UG off the top. MD 2nd rope ssp's UG outside. Mist springboard diving headscissors Av. Mist then la mistica's Av and submits him. Mistico's team wins the fall and match in 2 straight falls.

Thoughts: Mistico's team won as expected here. I didn't like the unmasking spot UG did. He had Mist totally unmasked and they ignored it. Other than that, it was alright with the faces doing a decent of high flying. We didn't see a ton of Neon in this one.

The singer sings Mistico's theme after. Mistico gets streamers.

The announcer then closes the show. 

Overall thoughts: The opener was average and would have been better as a normal match. The second match was going well and then had 2 botched pin attempts which messed it up. The women's match ended on a dumb note as Keyra got her team DQ'd for pulling off Kira's mask. That bout wasn't bad otherwise. Blue Panther/Solar was fine and was the technical bout you would expect. The semi-main wasn't that good as it was heel vs heel and went too long. The main was fine. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 and thought it was average overall.
