Last week's Collision is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/05/aew-collision-522026.html
We are in North Charleston, SC.
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and says we will take a moment to honor Ted Turner, who passed away today. Tony says Ted believed in wrestling and believed it belong on national TV. Tony says wrestling survived on TBS and AEW is here because of him. He says one man knows this better than anyone else and it's Sting.
Sting comes out. Sting asks if we can imagine a billionaire who loved wrestling. He calls him "Big Ted". He says he was committed to them. Sting says the tv heads would tell him to cut wrestling off because it's in the red but Ted would tell them to do what they do because he has deep pockets.
Sting talks about Darby. He says him and Darby took a blowtorch to this place every time and says it's great to know that Darby is wrestling for the title tonight. He says Darby is his greatest tag partner and he's grateful for a 2nd all-in billionaire who wants to keep the ball rolling in Tony Khan. Tony says the side plates of the TNT and TBS Titles have sideplates of the original TBS studios. They say they will give us 3 hours of wrestling in memory of him and do a 10 bell salute. We then get a graphic of Ted.
Thoughts: It was a very nice ceremony. Ted was a great fighter for wrestling and did a lot for the business. Wrestling would be in a very different place without him.

Mox splits JR's fingers. JR leg lariats him. JR hits more punches and corner lariats him. Mox cutters him. Mox hits mounted corner punches. JR powerbombs him then corner cannonballs him. JR hurricanrana's him from the 2nd rope and lariats him for 2. JR half-nelson slams him.
Mox bites him then runs into a straight punch. JR top rope crossbodies Mox for 2. They headbutt each other. Mox misses a corner spear and JR rolls him up for 2. Mox sleepers him. Mox piledrivers him for 2. Mox bulldog chokes him. JR is out and Mox wins.
Thoughts: It was all punches and strikes for the most part and it was an okay match as expected. Mox got busted open as he almost always does. It was a little long for the an opener though.
We see Will Ospreay working out with The Death Riders. Garcia references Will wrestling in NJPW and says they don't care about how hard his flight was. He says you have to work to be the best version of yourself. Yuta does sit up's on Will's back. Mox and Will are both in pain on the floor. Mox talks about Will being in a do or die situation. Mox says if Will doesn't get his brain or neck right, it's over. He says he can hang out like the other posers but he's not like them and is different. He says it's a privilege for him to be where he is at. He says Will is on death ground. Mox says it will be hard but this is the only good option.
Orange Cassidy vs Dax Harwood
If Dax wins, FTR/Ciampa get a trios title shot. If OC wins, The Conglomeration get a tag title shot. Both guys have a ton of people with them.
Dax shoulders over OC twice. Dax hiptosses him. OC upkicks him and is slammed. OC side headlock takeovers him. Dax hits chops in the corner and takes an orange punch. OC misses a move and goes into the post outside. OC's arm is banged off the post.

Thoughts: I didn't like it too much. The tope spot was weird as Dax totally took the tope and just ignored it. It was the usual OC match where a title shot was on the line yet he still screwed around.
Everyone fights in the ring after. Rocky Romero gets surrounded and takes trademark moves from the faces.
We get a video on Rush.
Chris Jericho is interviewed says he's p!ssed. He says the time for talking is over. He says he will take it out to the people and heads to ringside. CJ says he's done with the 3v1's and attacks from behind. He demands Ricochet comes and talks to him one on one.
The Demand comes out with Ric. Ric says CJ didn't listen. Ric says he's getting bored of fighting him and asks what another match with him gets him. Ric says CJ created his own match 6 years ago at Double or Nothing. Ric says he won't just beat him with the lionsault, he wants to beat him in a Stadium Stampede match. Ric says CJ had to pay people to watch his back last time they fought.
Ric says nobody likes him. CJ says Ric is on and says he will find 4 partners. He says if he can't find 4 partners, he will take all of them on by himself. He then punches Ric out. He throws Toa and Kaun out then he spinning back elbows Ric. Ric goes for a lionsault and Toa hits him. Ric is then 3v1'd and The Hurt Syndicate save him.
Thoughts: I don't like them doing a Stadium Stampede off of this. They are going to have to add 7 people who don't have a lot to do with this and it just deludes the gimmick.
Mina and Harley are interviewed. Mina says they have a match to win tonight. She tells her to start looking out there and look in her heart. She then rips off Harley's shirt and Harley says the wrath is back and her opponents will feel it tonight.

Thoughts: It didn't go as long as I expected bu Okada did win as expected. What we got was fine. BK's offense looked good as usual and they matched up okay together.

Joe says he could last a long time with The Opps at his side. Joe says he will provide Bowens a chance to succeed. He says the choice and options for Will are clear. He says he will put his hand out to him one last time. He says if it's not accepted, he will put his fist out.

Thoughts: Harley had a good night here and definitely tried. They pushed that Shida and Kris had some issues towards the end. This wasn't bad and was better than I expected.
Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana talk. Swerve says he told everyone he was after power. He shows a Bandido poster and says power means more fear and control. He says there's nothing more dangerous than a guy who wants more power and he wants it all.
Bandido and Brody King are interviewed. Bandido says Swerve is right and says he's the most wanted. He says if Swerve wants him, he's easy to find. King says you can mess with him but there will be hell to pay if you mess with his friends.
Thoughts: I'm not sure what happened with Swerve, but he hasn't been used much lately and has fallen off from the big push he was getting.

DA grounded guillotines him. KK is laid on the top rope. DA top rope coffin drops him as he hangs. DA then top rope coffin drops him again and pins him.
Thoughts: Darby won as expected. They did a little too much as usual but it was an okay high flying match. KK sold his leg here a little after the springboard lariat outside but he seemed okay after. It wasn't quite as wild as I expected though. There was no reason to believe Darby was losing here.
Sting comes in the ring after and pats Darby on the back.
MJF comes out after. He says nobody wants to see Darby with the title anymore. He says enough is enough and it is time for Darby to give him the rematch he owes him. Kazuchika Okada comes out. Okada challenges him for the World Title next Wednesday. Darby says, "it's on, b!tch".

Mike misses a spin kick and an ultimate weapon. AR enzugiri's him. Mike high kicks him. Mike blocks a seated spanish fly. Mike hits an ultimate weapon off the 2nd rope and wins.
Thoughts: It was a random one and Mike won as expected. It was a little too video game like for me but they kept it short at least. We hadn't seen AR on this show in a while.
Willow Nightingale talks about being the TBS champ. She says she has knocked down every challenger after 9 title shots. She tells whoever wants next to step up as she plans on defending the legacy every single week.

Jamie hits corner spears on SB. SB superkicks her head into the buckles. They slap each other on the buckles. Jamie 2nd rope lariats her down and wins.
Thoughts: It was a bit of a shorter bout. We knew Jamie was winning here and she did. SB didn't do that much except for various superkicks. The finish was a bit weak. It was about average.
Jamie points and talks to Thekla and Julia Hart in the stands after. She then takes down Skye again.
Don Callis does a promo with 4 members of his crew. He says Mark Davis will win the National Title at Fairway to Hell this weekend. He says Okada has staked his claim to the AEW Title and says to be very afraid. Takeshita says Okada should be worried about defending his title against him, not the World Title. Don says Takeshita sounds like Kenny Omega by saying he wants this and that. Don says Okada is his hand picked choice for the title. Andrade El Idolo asks him, "How you know?". Don says he's Don Callis and he knows everything. He says he knows more gold for the Don Callis Family.
Rush vs. Manny Lo
Taz says Manny should be "Manny Go" and get out of here.
Lo offers a handshake. Rush chops him in the corner then stomps and forearms him. Rush hits his corner basement dropkick and pins him.

The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) & Bang Bang Gang (Ace Austin, Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn) vs. Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta) & The Dogs (Clark Connors & David Finlay)
The faces get hit as they enter and the fight starts on the ramp. We get an 8 person suplex in the ring. The faces all hit mounted corner punches. The heels all take atomic drops and go into each other. A Buck is popped up into a headscissors on Claudio. Claudio is dropkicked through the ropes and is hit with a corkscrew dive. Ace handstands on the apron and kicks DG. Clark spears Ace on the apron. Finlay takes a double hiptoss neckbreaker.

Yuta and Ace trade forearms. Ace dropkicks him. Yuta takes a triple superkick. The Bucks do stereo topes out. Ace pins Yuta with the fold.
Thoughts: It was what you would expect with a fast pace, lots of flying and people coming in and out as they please. They didn't go all out for this but it was enough. It wasn't super memorable or anything and it was similar to other group matches we've seen with these guys. It was okay.
Overall thoughts: They had 3 hours and still went overtime. I think that's a problem on a weekday. There was a lot of in-ring action as usual here. The tribute to Ted Turner was very nice. I liked Mox/Juice. The women's tag wasn't bad. Darby/Knight was okay but not super memorable. Fox/Bailey got out of there before they could go too far. Hayter's and Rush's matches were forgettable. The main was similar to other matches we had seen lately and it was fine. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 and it was an okay show.
