WWE Smackdown 5/15/2026

We are in Columbia, SC. Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive and hang out. We see Trick Williams in an empty football stadium without any yardlines.

Trick Williams comes out with Lil Yachty and a bird mascot. This is Trick's hometown. Trick talks about some local things and talks about going to a chicken wing restaurant. He says he dropped sauce on his shoes and started calling them the lemon pepper steppers after that.

The Miz and Kit Wilson come out. Miz calls it a homecoming and says Trick's career looks like rejected mascots from his daughter's birthday party. He asks if this is WWE or Sesame Street. Yachty says they have some nerve and that's why they got beat up and are cursed. Miz says he's not cursed. 

Kit says he will explain things to them through slam poetry. Kit then reads a poem. Yachty tries one back but Kit's is much better.  

Yacthy says Miz has tiny balls and Miz gets upset about it. Miz asks for a ref to come out so he can whoop Trick in front of his mama. Trick fights Miz and Kit and sends both out.

Trick Williams vs The Miz

Miz is wrestling in a shirt here. Trick shoves him over then chops him. Trick flying lariats him. Trick's throat is pulled over the top rope. Miz comes off the top and is hit in the gut. Trick hits punches. Miz knees Trick in the gut and running boots him. 

Miz stomps him. Trick neckbreakers him and stomps on him. Miz slides out and Trick chases him. Trick uppercuts him then sends him into the rails. Kit flying elbows Trick. Miz dropkicks Trick through the ropes then goes in Yachty's face. We go to PiP break and return.

They trade shots. Trick gets the edge and drops him. Trick leg lariats him twice. Trick uranage's him for 2. Trick rolls him up for 2. Miz short ddt's him for 2. Miz hits chest kicks. Trick flapjacks him. Kit trips Trick. Miz backrolls Trick and Trick reverses it. Miz hits a skull crushing finale for 2. 

Kit distracts the ref and Miz grabs a kendo stick. Yachty takes the stick from Miz then hits Kit with it. Yachty sends Kit into the commentary table. Trick flying knees Miz and wins.

Thoughts: The format was there and the work was fine, just it wasn't anything too great. Trick was always going to win and the question was just how long it would take.

Cathy Kelly interviews Carmelo Hayes. Melo says he's been gone for a month and has seen Trick and Sami make mockeries of the title. He says the fans said they want Melo and he says when he shoots, he doesn't miss and he wants the US Title. Ricky Saints comes in and says he didn't get a formal hello from Melo. Ricky says the world is different over the last month. Ricky says SD has new tenants. Melo says he's the landlord and he's evicting his @ss. Melo says this place humbles people and he might humble him. Ricky says he needs an absolute lesson and the best teacher is standing in front of him.

Nick Aldis talks to Rey Fenix. Rey says he has his eyes on something big in AAA. Sami Zayn comes in. He says he's ashamed of losing at Backlash and did things out of character. He thinks the pressure is building up and it's a wake-up call. Sami asks for a US Title rematch. Nick says he just had one and has to earn a title shot. Sami says Nick forgot about his legacy and says the fans didn't forget. He says he wants to redeem himself for the fans. Nick says Sami is dealing with stuff and he tells him to go deal with it. Nick says all he's getting is entitlement. 

Rey Fenix asks Sami what's going on with him. Sami says it's everyone else. Rey says he doesn't recognize him. Rey then walks away as Sami talk. 

Paige and Brie Bella are interviewed. Brie says having the titles feels like being a in a shark tank. Brie says they are defending the titles Monday too. Nia Jax and Lash Legend walk in. They say they want Paige and Brie to win as they will get their belts back at SNME.  

Paige and Brie Bella vs Giulia and Kiana James

G = Giulia

KJ pushes Brie back on the lock up. KJ knees her in the gut. Brie hits her in the gut then russian legsweeps her. Brie bulldogs KJ then Paige knees KJ in the face for 2. G hits boots on Paige then hits shots to the gut. G suplexes Paige for 2. Paige low dropkicks G. Paige hits knees to G's gut. G sends Paige into the post. 

We go to break and return. G and Paige fight on the buckles. Paige sunset bombs her from the 2nd rope. Brie tags in and she totally misses a top rope dropkick on KJ. Brie knees G in the gut then hits running knees on the heels. Brie then chest kicks the heels. 

Brie facebusters KJ for 2. Brie throws G out. KJ codebreakers Brie and G northern lights bombs Brie. Paige is sent into G and both go out. KJ superkicks Brie. Brie gets her knees up on KJ's standing moonsault. Paige lifting ddt's KJ and wins.

Thoughts: Paige and Brie won as expected. It wasn't that good. Brie's offense doesn't have a lot of force behind it and she mostly missed a dropkick. There were a lot of knees to the gut here. 

Giulia and Kiana make faces at each other after and look upset.

Tiffany Stratton is interviewed. We see Giulia and Kiana James arguing behind her. Tiff says she's just fine on her own. Chelsea Green comes in and is not in her wheelchair. Tiff says she was talking about how she doesn't like having partners. Tiff says some people aren't meant to be a team. Green says it would never be them and Tiff says it's because they aren't meant to be a team. 

Cody Rhodes comes out to talk. He throws 2 chairs and a table in the ring. Cody says he has all the ingredients for a contract signing. He wants Gunther to come down and sign his SD contract and a contract for a title match at Clash in Italy. 

Gunther comes out and asks Cody if he knew how long it took to set all of this up. HE says Cody still finds a way to make it about himself like a typical American. Gunther says that will be his title and tells him to be professional. He tells him to address him nicely and say please. 

Cody says Gunther is making it weird. He says the contract is in the ring and Gunther needs to sign it. Cody tells him to please come sign the contract and get his @ss kicked at Clash at Italy. Gunther says Cody said please but he didn't mean it.

Royce Keys comes out. Keys says if Gunther won't sign the contract, he will. Cody gives him the pen to sign. Gunther comes in and takes the pen. He asks Keys what he's doing here. They butt heads and Keys pushes him.

Nick Aldis comes out and says we have quite the situation. Nick says Gunther overplayed his hand and now the title shot is up for grabs. Nick says Keys will face Gunther tonight and the winner will face Cody at Clash in Italy. Cody says he's proud of Keys and says he's easy to find and hard to beat. 

Thoughts: It was a bit of a silly segment but I liked Keys coming down to sign the contract when Gunther wouldn't.

The MFT's talk. Solo says the tag titles can wait. He asks Tama if he understands the assignment. He says R-Truth isn't clear tonight so he needs to take out Damian Keys. Solo tells Talla that they need to talk to Royce Keys. Shinsuke Nakamura comes up to Tama to talk to him. Talla nails Nakamura from behind and sends him into boxes. He then chokeslams Nakamura through a table.

Nick Aldis argues with Gunther in the back. Nick says overplayed his hand and went against his word. Nick says he has to earn his title shot now. Gunther says he should be thankful he's here. 

Ricky Saints vs Carmelo Hayes

RS hits Melo from behind then chops him. Melo armdrags him and RS armdrag back. They both miss dropkicks then Melo hits one. RS boots and clubs him. RS rope walks and clubs Melo's shoulder. RS lariats him. Melo hits a blind springboard legdrop over the 2nd rope. Melo tope con hilos him and lands face first on the floor.

We go to PiP break and return. Melo 2nd rope gordbusters him. Melo top rope splashes him for 2. RS hits a high angle northern lights bomb on Melo's head. RS chinlocks him. We have a PiP ad for a movie. Melo hits superkicks. Melo springboard twisting lariats him.

Melo hits a la mistica drop/dirty diana for 2. They cradle each other. RS swinging uranage's him for 2. RS boots him, Melo slips out of a tornado ddt and Melo codebreakers him for 2. RS tornado dd't him for 2. RS tries to pin him with his feet on the ropes and gets caught. RS argues with the ref then Melo pins him with his (Melo's) feet on the ropes.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good. It had a lot of sloppy moment especially towards the end and Melo got dropped on his head here. The crowd wasn't that into it either. This isn't a good loss for Saints.

R-Truth goes up to Royce Keys. He thanks him for helping them. Truth says they are building a new clubhouse for the new Judgment Day and tells Keys to fill out an application. Keys says he will think about it. 

Damian Priest comes in. Truth says Keys will join them in Judgment Day 2000. DP says The MFT's won't touch Keys but will hit the rest of them. DP says Keys hasn't earned his trust or respect yet. Truth says DP was right about last week and The MFT's used him against DP. DP says it won't happen again tonight as Truth isn't medically cleared. He says he knows at least he is cleared tonight.

Danhausen is knocking over camera stuff in the back. He goes into his lair with the cloning machine. He brings out what appears to be a dead body under a sheet and sparks fly near his computer. He then types on it. 

Damian Priest vs Tama Tonga

Tama nails DP from behind and pounds on him. DP throws him in the corner and pounds on him. Tama hits more shots. DP flying back elbows him. Tama slides between the legs and tries a pin. DP pump kicks him. Tama jumps on him off the steps. We go to break and return.

Tama sleepers him when he goes for a razor's edge. Tama dragon screws him then jumps on him for a ddt for 2. DP hits punches then flying forearms him. DP ear claps him then lifting flatliners him. DP flying back elbows him then falcon arrows him for 2. 

Tama slides out. DP pounds him onto the commentary table. DP crotches himself on accident as Tama is supposed to do it but he isn't fast enough. Tama swinging neckbreakers him for 2. DP hit a big lariat. DP hits a south of heaven chokeslam and wins.

Thoughts: The botch at the end was bad as DP just crotched himself. The crowd wasn't into this one and I don't blame them. Both guys are kind of miscast in their roles right now and this was just average.

Talla Tonga facekicks DP then stomps on him. Solo samoan spikes DP. 

Sami Zayn is upset about being called entitled in the back. He says this place is not what it used to be. We then see that he is talking to Johnny Gargano, who is still out of it on a box. Candice LeRae stops this and says this won't work. She says she's entitled to a husband who does more than lay here all the time. Sami says you gotta drown out the noise but Gargano just lays there.

Jade Cargill, B-Fab and Michin come out. Jade says everyone acts tough when she isn't here but gets quite when she is here. She says Rhea found that out. She says the Women's Title is coming home with her.

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss interrupt. Flair says Jade finally p!ssed her off last week and says let's play. Jade asks where Rhea is. Flair tells Jade to take some notes. Jade says to bring a ref out and tells Flair to entertain her as she is getting bored.

We get a Blake Monroe video after the break. She says she's the glamour and says all the girls will see the difference between them. 

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs Michin and B-Fab

Char waistlock takedowns Mich and Mich stalls outside. Fab comes in again and Char does the same thing to her. Fab clips Char from behind then pele kicks her. Char hits kicks in the corner on her then Mich pulls her down backwards. Mich flying headscissors Char and spin kicks her in the face.

Char rolls her with a headscissors. Bliss comes in and hits shots on Fab. She basement dropkicks her. Bliss meteora's her from behind on the ropes. Bliss double knee drops Fab. Bliss misses a rolling senton. Fab lariats Bliss then hits mounted shots. Fab catches Bliss off the 2nd rope and lifting flatliners her for 2. 

We go to break and return. Mich knocks Char off the apron. Bliss is double teamed in the corner. Fab mises a corner charge. Bliss spinning ddt's her. Char gets hot tagged in and chops up the heels. Char running lariats Fab. Char fallaway slams Fab and Mich.

Char goes up top and Jade distracts her. Fab boots Char in the head. Mich top rope dropkicks Char. Char takes a double boot for 2. Char figure fours Fab. Char lariats Mich over the top. Fab side kicks Char. Char boots Fab then Bliss hits a sister abigail on Fab. Jade pulls Bliss out on the pin and Bliss' team wins via DQ.

Thoughts: It was an average match as expected. It was similar to other Bliss/Flair matches we have seen and the finish was lame.

Char sends Mich over the commentary table. Flair facekicks Fab out. Flair challenges Jade. 

Fatal Influence are interviewed and are watching in the back. Fallon says they are on top of the food chain. Reid says the other teams can't stand each other. Jacy says they are a unit and will have all the gold soon. Jacy says it's only a matter of time until the other girls fall at their feet.

Bliss and Flair talk in the back. Flair says she's working hard to become a team player but Rhea wasn't here. Bliss says they are outnumbered and need help. Flair says she's not a "look like I need help" person. Bliss says they are outnumbered and Rhea owes them.

Solo Sikoa goes up to Royce Keys. He says he can help Keys beat Gunther and become champ. Solo says he knows he likes that. Solo says not to listen to Jacob Fatu and listen to him. Solo says they can run SD. Solo says he'd hate to see what happened to Nakamura happen to him. Keys says he has got this. Solo says Fatu said the same thing. 

#1 Contender's Match - Gunther vs Royce Keys

They lock up. Gun backs him up in the corner and piefaces him. Keys forearms him down. Gun stalls outside. Gun side headlocks him They shoulder battle. Keys knocks him over and Gun hits chops. Keys hits punches and he powerslams Gun for 2.

Gun is sent into the rails. Keys throws him over the commentary table. We go to PiP break and return. Gun lariats him then is lariated down. Gun chops him down. Keys suplexes him. Gun hits knees to the gut then chops him down. 

Gun throws him out. Keys hits world's strongest slams on the commentary table. Gun misses a flying corner facekick. Keys corner splashes him. Gun lariats him. Keys superplexes him for 2. Keys hits lariats to the front and back. Gun sleepers him then grounds him with it. Gun takes a back body drop. They lariat battle and Keys flying lariats him. Keys hits lariats to the front and back. Keys hits a hard lariat for 2. 

Keys corner splashes him. Gun sleepers him. Gun hits chops and Keys pounces him into the ref. Solo Sikoa gives Keys a chair and tells him to hit Gun. Solo is on the apron and Keys throws the chair at Solo's head. Gun lariats Keys from behind then running lariats him. Gun powerbombs Keys and wins.

Thoughts: The crowd wasn't good for this one but that has been the theme all night. It was a little slower and not quite as exciting as it could have been. They had the right idea though with chops, lariats and shoulderblocks. I would have liked to see them pick up the pace a bit and show some more fire here. It was still a cool match to get though.

Gun talks in the camera. Cody Rhode grabs him from behind and hits a cross rhodes. 

Overall thoughts: The crowd was quiet and not excited all night which hurt the matches. It generally was a slower and not so great card though. Trick/Miz was below average. Paige's match wasn't good. Melo's and Priest's matches got sloppy and the quality was brought down by it. Flair and Bliss had an average tag match. They had the right idea in the main but it was slower and the crowd wasn't hot for it. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 and thought it was an average show. I didn't enjoy this that much.
