5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Red Stars B Second Place Determination Dog Fight

Leg 1 - Mei Seira vs AZM

AZM boots her and rolls her up. They do a legsweep and both headflip up at the same time. They shek hands. Mei grabs her on the handshake. They trade pins and AZM basement dropkicks her. AZM springboard armdrags her and does a rings of saturn. AZM suplexes her. AZM gets a 2 count on her then Mei rolls her into a pin and wins.

Leg 2 - Mei Seira vs Tomoka Inaba

Mei rolls her into an ankle lock. TI side headlocks her. TI side headlocks her. TI hits two running knees for 2. Mei dropkicks her. TI rolls her up for 2 then punches her in the gut. TI sunset flips her for 2. TI rolls her up for 2 again then Mei superkicks her. Mei germans her. TI hits a knee to the face for 2.

Mei rolls her for 2 then TI hits a head kick. TI michinoku drivers her and pins her. 

Leg 3 - Tomoka Inaba vs AZM

They fight outside. They grab each other by the hair and trade chest forearms. AZM hits chest forearms and they high kicks each other at the same time. AZM hits forearms then TI hits forearms. AZM high kicks her then TI pop-up knees her. TI headkicks her for 2. AZM bridges her and gets the pin.

Leg 4 - AZM vs Mei Seira

Mei flying dropkicks her to start. AZM cradles her for 2. AZM then rolls her up for 2. They trade pin attempts. Mei germans her. Mei springboards and AZM high kicks her.

AZM figure four germans her then high kicks her for 2. Mei does a back body drop lift into a cutter and rolls her up for 2. Mei dropkicks her. AZM canadian destroyers her then rolls her up to win it.

Thoughts: It was a fun little series. Not great or memorable but they took an odd situation made a rare 4-legged affair out of it. It was fast paced, it felt like anyone could win and I enjoyed this.

They all shake hands after.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars B Second Place Match - Hanan vs Suzu Suzuki

Suzu runs at Han and trips her. She pulls her out of the ring and throws her into the seats twice. Suzu drive-by kicks her on the apron. Han hits a chest forearm flurry then Suzu rolling spears her from the side. Suzu does a leg and double arm lock on her. Han ropebreaks.

Han misses a 2nd rope crossbody then Suzu hair throws her. Suzu knee chokes her and hits forearms. Han hip throws her and rolls with it. Han leg lariats her on the ropes. Suzu hits a big forearm. They trade forearms and pull each other down from the hair. They trade headbutts. 

Suzu forearms Han then Han germans her off the buckles. Suzu poisonrana's her then headkicks her for 2. Han euros her then hits a cuty special. Suzu hits a tequila shot for 2. Suzu hits kicks to the head and flips out of a backdrop. Suzu germans her and Han backdrops her. Han backdrops her and wins.

Thoughts: It was a surprisingly good match. There wasn't a ton of selling but it had fast paced action and the two matched up well with each other. It was not the usual Hanan match either which made it better. It was heated and I liked it.

Suzu forearms her after for winning. 

Hina & Tam Nakano vs. HATE (Natsuko Tora & Rina)

Tam and Tora face off. They trade forearms and Tora chop blocks her. Rina dropkicks her then Tora hits a samoan drop. Rina gets on Tora's back and they do a double splash. Hina helps out and hipthrows Rina and Tora. Tam hits a top rope plancha to the outside then is thrown into the rails. Tora throws a chair at Tam outside then sends her into the seats.

Tora beats up on Tam inside. Rina bangs Tam's knee off hte mat and stands on it. Tam ducks a lariat and hits a cutter off of it. Hina gets in and dropkicks Rina. Hina is tripped into the ropes then Rina facekicks her. Rina shotgun dropkicks Hina for 2.

Rina STO's and hipthrows Hina. They grab each other by the hair. Hina hits forearms to the chest then Rina pulls her down by the hair. Rina running facekicks Hina then Hina running neckbreakers her. Rina northern lights suplexes Hina then Hina hits a wrist-cluch uranage.

Tam gets in and flying knees Tora. Tora choplocks her down then suplexes her for 2. Tora lariats Tam for 2. Tora misses a splash off the buckles then Tam flying knees her in the back of the head. Tora gets a chair and Hina blocks it. Tam superkicks and spin kicks Tora. Tam tiger suplexes Tora for 2.

Tora throws a chair at Tam as she runs and leglocks her. Tam ropebreaks. Tam hits Tora with a chair in the leg then spin kicks her. Tora then lariats Tam down. Tam takes a double backdrop and Rina 2nd rope double knee drops Tam. Tora top rope swantons Tam.

Tam cartwheels into a headscissors on Tora and wins.

Thoughts: The story of this one was the heels working Tam's knee. She sold it enough I suppose and made her comeback to win. The finishing stretch needed more time here. It was basically a Tora vs Tam singles match as Rina and Hina got little in.

Tam talks to Tora on the mic after and kicks her in the knee. Rina goes after Tam and Tora hits Tam in the knee with a stick. They then each get a line in on the mic.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Red Stars Quarter Final Match - Mayu Iwatani vs. Natsupoi

They shake hands and Poi goes for a move off of it. They then duck moves and high kicks. Poi wristlocks Mayu then Mayu side headlocks her. Poi cartwheels out of an irish whip then Mayu headlock takeovers her. Mayu kicks her in the chest. Poi superkicks her then ties up her arms.

Tam knees the arm and Mayu slingblades her. Poi spin kicks her then superkicks her. Poi misses a dropkick on the ropes then gets a dropkick on the ropes. Poi avoids a tope then top rope plancha's Mayu.

Poi top rope crossbodies Mayu then armbars her. Poi dropkicks Mayu on the ropes. Poi hits chest forearms then spin kicks her. They fight on the buckles and Mayu superplexes her. Mayu top rope frogsplashes Poi. Poi germans Mayu. Mayu no sells it then takes a spinning high kick. Poi spinning neckbreakers her for 2 then Mayu gets her knees up on Poi's cartwheel splash. Mayu germans her for 2. Poi la magistral's her and Mayu reverses it for 2.

Mayu hits a tombstone then buzzsaw kicks her. Mayu wheelbarrow suplexes her then hits a dragon suplex off the wheelbarrow to win.

Thoughts: Not much of a story here but the action was solid. They stiffed each other good here and kept a good pace. I liked this one and the two matched up well.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Quarter Final Match - Starlight Kid vs. Saya Kamitani

They stare down and grab each other by the hair. Saya slides out on an irish whip and come back in to kick Kid off the apron. Kid is sent into the seats. They fight on the seats with a table and Kid bangs Saya's knee off of it. Kid goes for a moonsault off the table but is pushed.

Saya top rope dropkicks her then stomps her. Saya footchokes Kid on the ropes and axe kicks her while she's over the middle rope. Saya stomps her. Saya pops her up and gets dropkicked.

Kid twists Saya's knee with her feet then standing moonsaults her. Saya eye rakes Kid then Kid dragon screws her on the apron. Kid top rope crossbodies her then stretch mufflers her. Saya eye rakes her to get out.

Saya spinning heel kicks her then shotgun dropkicks her. Saya hits a springboard lariat for 2. Kid double knees Saya in the back of the head and 180 splashes her for 2. Saya suplexes her twice and Kid hits a cross-legged fisherman's suplex. Kid rolls her into a tiger suplex for 2. Saya gets her knees up on Kid's top rope moonsault.

Kid dragon screws the leg and stretch mufflers her again. Saya ki krushers her then Kid momo latches her for 2. Saya pump kicks her then spinning high kicks her. Saya screw kicks her for 2. Kid tombstones her then hitsa top rope moonsault for 2. Saya rolls her into a blue thunder for 2 then hits a ki krusher for the win.

Thoughts: It was a good match. Kid worked the knee and Saya sold it all throughout before picking up the win. Saya showed a little more personality here than usual which I liked.

Kid grabs Saya by the hair after and Saya stands on her head.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Quarter Final Match - Syuri vs. Hanan

Syu takes her down and does a grounded sleeper. Syu side headlock takeovers her and then puts her in a rings of saturn. Han ropebreaks. Syu armdrags her and Han hip throws her. Syu suplexes her for 2 and goes for another armbar.

Syu boots Han then kicks her in the back. Syu stomps on her then Han leg lariats her on the ropes. Han crossbodies her off the apron. Han running euros her for 2. Syu armbars her then does a rings of saturn. Han ropebreaks.

Han hits euros then fameassers Syu. Han hits a cuty special for 2 then Syu ropebreaks her. Han leg lariats her and Han takes a codebreaker. Syu pumping knees her then Han backdrops her.

They trade forearms and Han hits a big flurry of forearms. Syu chest kicks her down then sleepers her. Han ropebreaks again. Syu bridging ddt's her then Han gets a 2 on a pin attempt. Han backdrops her then Syu headlock takeovers her. Syu flying knees her for 2. Syu high kicks her for 2 then hits a spinning emerald flowsion for 2. Syu misses a kick and Han rolls her up for the win.

Thoughts: This was all Syuri beating Hanan up with kicks. Hanan sold for almost all of this match and rolled her up in the end to win. It worked but it did need a little more to it. 

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Red Stars Quarter Final Match - AZM vs Maika

They get the crowd involved to start and talk to each other. They shake hands and AZM cradles her off of it. AZM basement dropkicks her. They go into the crowd. AZM runs at her and takes a lariat. Maika corner lariats her then shoulders her over when they get back in.

AZM hits chest forearms then Maika forearms her over. Maika superkicks her in the gut. AZM trips her and high kicks her as she hangs off the apron. AZM PK's her. AZM top rope dropkicks her then armbars her.

AZM workers the fingers and ties both arms up. Maika ropebreaks. They fight on the buckles and Maika is pulled down to the floor. AZM jumps off a table and kneedrops her. AZM then top rope double stomps her for 2. 

Maika superplexes her and AZM no sells it. AZM high kicks her then Maika powerbombs her. Maika lariats and spinning lariats her for 2. AZM canadian destroyers her. Maika hits an enka otoshi for 2. AZM la mista drops her into a pin attempt for 2. AZM high kicks her then Maika michinoku drivers her 3 times with the 3rd being a wrist-clutch michinoku driver for the win.

Thoughts: It was a fast-paced no-sell fest with no real story involved. It was just people doing big moves and then moving onto the next. The crowd loved it, but it was a brainless match.

Maika talks on the mic after. The other quarterfinalists then come down and also talk.

Overall thoughts: Minus the main, it was a good show. They had a fun start to the show with the dog fight and there was really only match I didn't like (the main). This was one of the better Stardom shows I have seen and I totally recommend this.

Trick Williams comes out to talk. He said Pete Dunne started this and he will finish it. He calls him out. Ethan Page then comes out. He says he's not Pete Dunne, but he's your NXT champ. Page makes jokes and says the champ gets to come out first after a PPV. Trick says he called his match right down the middle and is coming for his title. He said he has unfinished business first with Pete Dunne.

Page says he will be defending the title when they go to Chicago and says he'll be surprised if he makes it there. Pete Dunne tries to attack Trick and they fight. Security tries to break it up.

Hank and Tank talk. They said they called their shot and now they gotta deliver. Gallus walks up to them and says they will win tonight. They argue and refs break it up.

Jaida Parker walks in and Jacy's crew walks up to her. They mock her for losing. Nyx challengers her tonight and Jaida tells her to bring her mommy's with her tonight. 

#1 Contenders to the Tag Titles - Hank Walker and Tank Ledger vs Gallus (Wolfgang and Mark Coffey) vs The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz)

Gallus pound on Hank and Tank. The Rascalz then go after Gallus. Trey is thrown into the buckles and Hank hits a running facekick. Wolf sentons Hank. Hank is thrown backwards by Gallus. Trey headsicssors Mark from the apron then meteora's Tank.

Trey flying headscissors Mark then dropkicks him in the back of the head. Wentz slingshot sunset flips Mark then Mark is held for a basement dropkick. Wentz chops Mark then Hank rams Mark with Wentz's body. The Rascalz take stereo world's strongest slams. Gallus take stereo atomic drops then are sandwich bodyblocked together.

We go to PiP break and return. Mark 2nd rope shoulderblocks Hank. Hank hits a double lariat. Tank lariats and backsplashes Gallus. Tank lariats Mark and drops him backwards for 2. Trey low dropkicks Mark and step up enzugiri's Tank. Trey neckbreakers Mark which causes him to ddt Tank. Joe Coffey gets on the apron and Je'Von Evans goes after him. Luke Gallos gets on the apron and lariats Hank. Mark and Tank double clothesline each other. Trey hits a top rope meteora and Wentz hits a top rope swanton. Trey pins Tank.

Thoughts: It was a chaotic and fast paced three-way. They squeezed a lot in here with Evans and The Good Brothers coming down. It was a decent match but nothing too memorable.

Axiom and Nathan Frazer are interviewed. NF is thrilled about keeping the titles. They say they know who their next challengers are. The Rascalz come in and say they will beat them next week, taking their titles to TNA. NF asks if a change of partner will change much with Wentz.

Trick Williams is interviewed. He said he's ready for war with Pete Dunne. Pete runs in and they fight. Ref separate them.

Oro Mensah vs Lexis King

King backs up Oro off the lock-up. He knocks his headband off. Oro hits mounted shots. King takes a euro then is thrown into the ropes with his head hitting the middle rope. Oro koppo kicks King. Oro throws King off the barricade. Oro step up enzugiri's him from the apron. Oro goes to springboard and King pushes him, making him take a hard bump to the floor.

King beats him up inside and kitchen sink's him in the back of the head. King says Oro's father should have burned to ashes. Oro slaps him and hits shots on him. Oro flurries on him then King uses the ropes and pins him.

Thoughts: It wasn't anything too great as usual. Oro took a hard bump to the outside and King went into the ropes with his face which had to hurt. King talking trash about Oro's dad and getting him fired up was interesting.

The D'Angelo Family talk minus Tony. Oba comes in and says their boss is no match for the ruler of NXT. Rizzo says he got lucky and says Tony isn't done with him. Oro says that's big words from a small woman and said the woman is meant to be seen and not heard in many cultures. Tony says you get smacked in the mouth if you talk to a woman that way. Oro asks if he wants to do something about it and Tony says Stacks will handle it. Tony tells Rizzo nobody talks to her like that and gets away with it.

We see the NQCC talking. Then we see Gallus getting mad about Evans costing them the tag titles. Joe says he wants to end Evans. Wren walks in and says Charles wants them to keep it down. She then says Evans is cool. Mark says after Evans, they are coming for the cup. Wren goes to track trash and Dempsey shuts her up. Dempsey says Wren can't keep issuing challenges to everyone. He says you make a decision once your head is clear.

We see clips of Roxanne Perez arriving.

Rosemary vs Tatum Paxley

Rose grabs her and backs her up. Tatum moonsaults over then then waistlock takedowns her. Tatum flips out a snapmare then is tripped into the ropes. Rose hanging headscissors her. Rose germans her then hits a big lariat for 2.

Rose cranks her head. Tatum dropkicks her. Tatum step up enzugir's her then crossbodies her. Tatum hits an elbow drop or 2. Rose fallaway slams her then exploders her. Tatum hits a tequila shot and wins.

Thoughts: It was short and wasn't much of note other than Rosemary getting a second match in here. 

Wendy Choo double throat thrusts Tatum after. Tatum throws her over then Rose spears Tatum. Tatum is then double teamed. Lyra Valkyria then comes to save Tatum in a surprise. Lyra spin kicks Wendy and they clear the heels off. Lyra hugs Tatum and Tatum is all happy and jumps in her arms.

Thoughts: This didn't really work though it seemed like a good moment. Tatum said she didn't like Lyra anymore because she didn't have the gold when they originally broke up. She still doesn't have the gold and now she likes her.

Pete Dunne is interviewed. He says Trick will figure out that actions have consequences. He says this isn't a music video it's real life. Trick then appears on the side and they fight. Ava breaks it up and tells them to get to the ring and do their match now. Ethan Page says things are falling apart with her as GM.

Jordynne Grace talks via Instagram. She says next week is WWE Week on the USA Network. She says she will defend her Knockouts Title in an open challenge match on NXT. 

Trick Williams vs Pete Dunne

They fight before it starts. Trick flying facekicks him then throws him into the rails. Trick chops him outside. Pete works the arm inside. Trick jumping neckbreakers him. Pete ddt's him. Pete bullies Trick around. Trick hits chops. Trick hits a pop-up uppercut. Trick hits a mcgillicutter.

They fight on the apron. Trick is caught in the ringskirt and takes a forearm and kick. Pete stomps Trick's head into the steps. We go to PiP break and return. Pete running forearms Trick then pump kicks him. Trick flying lariats him the leg lariats him. Trick hits a flapjack. Pete is caught off the buckles and takes a uranage.

Pete stomps Trick's fingers and boots him in the face. Pete powerbombs him. Trick hits a reverse suplex. Trick corkscrew kicks him. They fight on the rails and Pete russian legsweeps Trick through the commentary table, sending Vic Joseph's candy flying. The ref rules this one a double countout.

Trick pounds on Pete after. Security separates them and Pete flies off the steps and forearms him. Trick pump kicks him.

Thoughts: It was a solid and heated fight here. Pete bullied Trick around a lot here and I didn't think Trick got that much in on this one. I kind of figured there would be a screw finish of some sort in order to keep this thing going until the CW show.

Ridge Holland talks about Chase U. He talks about what Chase U did for him but says Chase U failed. He said Chase U did what they do - win the big one, but can't keep it. Ridge says he brought Chase U back to prominence and said Duke criticizes every move he made. He said Riley is no different. He says Chase U's destruction begins next week and he will love every second of it. We then see him stomp Duke's MVP trophy.

Brooks Jensen and Shawn Spears talk in the back. Dion Lennox is reading in the back. Shawn says it was like Brooks rescued him. He thanks him. Shawn says he's committed to this partnership and Brooks asks why everyone thinks he is manipulating him. Shawn says he only cares what Brooks thinks and asks him to think about it. Dion says it's psychological manipulation and says he's gaslighting Brooks.

Je'Von Evans vs Joe Coffey

Evans hits a flying forearm then Joe headbutts him in the chest. Joe hits punches then Evans flying headscissors him. Evans uses the ropes to do a seated headscissors then he topes him. Both of them go into the commentary table. Joe hits a finlay roll then vader bombs him for 2.

Evans superkicks him then corkscrew kicks him off the ropes. Evans germans him then Evans takes a back body drop. Gallus go to beat up Evans then Cedric Alexander helps out Evans. Joe argues with him then Evans suicide dives all of Gallus.

Evans hits a double jump tornillo on Joe and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a short one. Evans looked good here doing some cool high flying. 

Lyra and Tatum talk in the back. Lyra says she knew she would forgive her. Lyra says they didn't leave on the best of terms but she couldn't keep her eyes off of her. Tatum says it's been lonely without her. Lyra says she has backup now and says she'd rather be fighting with her than against her. She says let's show the weird girls how weird Tatum is. Tatum asks for a hug and they hug.

Ava is interviewed. She says there needs to be a winner between Pete and Trick. Ava says they will fight in a last man standing match with the winner facing Ethan Page on October 1st.

Oba Femi vs Stacks

Stacks gets some shots in and hits knees to the gut. Stacks is rammed hard into the buckles then is thrown high across the ring. Oba hits a big lariat then elbow drops Stacks. Stacks enzugiri's and dropkicks Oba. Stacks runs the apron and takes a big chop.

Oba hits hard lariats from behind. Oba slams Stacks into the ropes, hitting his leg off the ropes. Oba misses an elbow drop. Stacks hits some punches. Oba pops up Stacks and Stacks dropkicks him. Oba running euros him in the corner then throws him on a backdrop. Oba pop-up powerbombs him and get the win.

Oba looks at Tony after and Tony looks disappointed.

Thoughts: This went as expected with Stacks mostly getting destroyed by Oba. It was mostly a squash here.

Brinley Reece and maybe Karmen talk in the back. Ashante Adonis goes up to Brin with a rose and says he's here for him. Eddy Thorpe then walks in. Adonis tells him to let him handle his work before Eddy gets this work.

Je'Von Evans and Wren Sinclair talk in the back with Myles there. Evans says his name will be on the Heritage Cup someday. Wren asks why he thinks he should get a shot. Evans says he main evented Heatwave and went far in the Speed tournament. He said he also just beat Joe Coffey. Evans says this sounds like a job interview and he never had a job before. Wren says he deserves a Heritage Cup match next week. Dempsey walks in and asks her what she did. Wren said she did what Dempsey told her to do. Dempsey gets mad and says Myles stood there and did nothing. Myles asks what happened and Wren says Evans thinks she's cool.

Jaida Parker vs Jazmyn Nyx

Nyx side headlocks her. JP shoulders her over. Nyx hits kicks and knees. JP shoulders her over. JP running back elbows her then back body drops her. Nyx legsweeps her then PK's her. Nyx hits kicks.

JP hits shots to the gut then Nyx leg lariats her. Nyx rolling sentons her then does a grounded bodyscissors with a neckpull. JP gets up with Nyx on her back. Nyx forearms her in the spine then JP samoan drops her. JP shoulders her over then slams her.

JP hits corner spears and lays her on the 2nd rope. JP buttpresses her down. Nyx cradles her for 2. Nyx misses a low dropkick and JP running hip attacks her to win.

Thoughts: Nyx had a good showing here. She moves around the ring well even if she's not fully developed as a worker yet. JP also looked comfortable out there. It wasn't great or anything but they hit their stuff clean and did alright with what they were given.

Fatal Influence attack JP after. JP tries to fight back but gets thrown into a Nyx pele kick.  

A bunch of girls talk in the back. They wonder if Giulia is coming out. Fatal Influence come in and mock them. Jacy says Fatal Influence have all the aura. Lola says they are afraid of new competition. Kelani says she won't let them poison the locker room and says they have the best women's division because of what they let them do in the ring. Jacy says Kelani's days as champ are numbered.

Duke Hudson says Chase is still in the hospital. He says he will get revenge next week.

Roxanne Perez comes out to talk. She said Jaida slapped the taste out of her mouth but defeat tastes worse. She says she's second in PLE matches and wins and says she is smashing all of Iyo's and Asuka's records. She says the women of NXT dream of having the career she has had.

She says she's the most wanted woman in all of NXT. She says Giulia is trying to steal her shine and says it will be her holding the title in the air when the smoke clears.

The lights go out and Chelsea Green comes out. Green asks why the one section of fans smells like mildew and B.O. She says she is beloved by the WWE Universe. She says she will do anything for her fans. She says she's here and says no one will tell her she's not the #1 contender.

The lights go out again then Giulia comes out. Green tries to slap her but takes a forearm and a knee. Giulia stares down Perez and says, "Me, You, CW". Perez then holds the belt up at her.

Thoughts: Green coming out was random. I'm not real sure what that was about. I don't really like Giulia fighting Perez for the title in one of her first matches in as she should probably win and I don't know if that's the plan or what's really best for the NXT Women's Title right now. I thought they should have ran some packages to introduce Giulia to people who may not know her.

Overall thoughts: I just thought it was average. There wasn't anything must see wrestling wise. I thought they did a good job in preparing for their CW debut as multiple programs were set up for it. They also have no lack of programs or storylines going on with seemingly everyone involved in something here. I wouldn't recommend this one.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Block B Match - Suzu Suzuki vs Ranna Yagami

Ranna hits her with a dropkick after intros and hits a chest forearm flurry. Suzu pulls her down, snapmares her nad kicks her in the back. Suzu drive by kicks her. Ran dropkicks her. Ranna hits chest kicks. Suzu forearms her down. Ranna hits chest forearms and chest kicks her down.

Ranna hits kicks and Suzu ropebreaks on an armbar attempt. Suzu running knees Ranna in the corner. Ranna rolls her up then leg lariats her for 2. Rannna rolls her and takes a german. Suzu headkicks her for 2. Suzu hits a tequila shot and wins.

Thoughts: It was a vet vs rookie match. Ranna got a lot of offense in, hitting mostly kicks. They tried to tease that maybe she could beat Suzu, but that was obviously not going to happen. It was average for the most part.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Block A Match - Syuri vs Miyu Amasaki

Miyu dropkicks her in the knee then short ddt's her. Miyu dropkicks her in the back. Syu sleepers her then suplexes her for 2. Syu hits kicks to the back. Miyu 2nd rope spinning facebusters her. Syu crabs her.

Syu lets Miyu hit chest forearms. Miyu tornado ddt's her then hits a ddt for 2. Syu STO's her and hits chest kicks for 2. Syu sharpshooters her. Miyu ropebreaks and rolls her up for 2. Miyu then hits a pendulum ddt.

Syu germans her and Miyu no sells it. Miyu fires up and Syu headkicks her down for 2. Syu hits a spinning emerald flowsion and wins.

Thoughts: It was similar to the first match with Miyu getting some offense in and them trying to convince us that the rookie had a chance. The rookie was again defeated here to the surprise of no one. It was just average.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Red Stars Block B Match - AZM vs Saya Iida

AZM boots her and armdrags her off the gorilla press attempt. Saya side headlocks her. AZM PK's her and flying knees her. AZM foot chokes her and corner dropkicks her. AZM goes for the armbar and Saya ropebreaks. AZM legsweeps her and PK's her. Saya slams AZM.

Saya back elbows her and elbow drops her. Saya hits a chop flurry. AZM suplexes her then Saya suplexes her back. Saya hits a nice lariat. Saya misses a 2nd rope shoulderblock then AZM armbars her. AZM top rope double stomps her for 2. Saya hits a lariat then spinebusters her for 2. AZM rolls her up for 2 then high kicks her. AZM gets her flying headscissors stopped then Saya bridge pins her to win.

Thoughts: It was a high energy and high speed affair. They matched up well pretty and kept this one moving. I liked this more than I expected to and was not expecting what we got out of it.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Red Stars Block A Match - Maika vs Manami

Manami side headlocks her then camel clutches her. The ref tells her to stop and she does her pose at the ref. Maika side headlocks her and headlock takeovers her. Manami headscissors her then stomps on her.

Maika forearms her then Manami dropkicks her on the ropes. Manami basement dropkicks her and does her pose. Maika running lariats her and shoulders her over. Manami hangs onto the ropes to avoid a move and Maika shakes her around.

Maika sliding lariats her against the ropes. Maika STO's her. Manami octopuses her and Maika ropebreaks. Manami then facekicks her on the ropes. Manami flying knees her after taking a lariat. Manami meteora's her for 2. Maika hits a 2nd rope superplex then hangs on for 3 more. Maika hits an enka otoshi for 2. Manami flying knees Maika then pumping knees her.

Maika lariats her then spinning lariats her for 2. Maika michinoku drivers her and wins.

Thoughts: It was one of Manami's better matches in the tournament, mostly because she took most of the abuse and because they kept a quicker pace up. It wasn't great but better than expected and tolerable.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Red Stars Block A Match - Yuna Mizumori vs Ruaka

Yuna attacks Ruaka as she enters. She chokes her with a towel and hits her with it in front of the ref. The ref then starts the match with Ruaka not really being ready. They trade forearms outside. Yuna is sent into the seats twice.

Yuna lariats Ruaka against the post then runs around the ring to shoulder her over. Yuna top rope diving shoulderblocks her. Ruaka shoulderblocks her and sentons her for 2. Ruaka crossbodies her against the bottom rope for 2. Ruaka misses a corner charge and takes a lariat flurry in the corner. Ruaka lariats her over then Yuna lariats her. Yuna 2nd rope splashes her for 2. Yuna hits an attitude adjustment for 2.

Ruaka suplexes her off the ropes. Yuna hits a big lariat then Ruaka gives her one back. Yuna crucifixes her for 2 then Ruaka fisherman's suplexes her. Ruaka double arm chokeslams her and wins.

Thoughts: There was no selling whatsoever. But they did keep it moving and they really did match up well. I can't put this one over though as nothing really meant anything.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Block B Match - Saki Kashima vs Thekla

Saki does not have her ad with her today. Thekla hits her with a belt in front of the ref before it starts and whips her. Thek drops her with a big forearm for 2. Thek whips her outside then puts the belt around her neck and pulls. Thek double stomps her back off the ropes then sends her into the seats. Thek then throws a chair at her and bangs her head off the commentary table. I think one of the Stardom heads tries to stop Thek and Thek rolls the commentary table over on him. Saki gets a surprise pinfall on her and wins.

Thoughts: It was a short one with Saki getting almost nothing in but the pin at the end. Thek just beat her up outside for most of this.

Thek stomps her after.

Anna Jay and Hina vs Rina and Natsuko Tora

The faces attack the heels at the bell. Tora is knocke off the apron then Anna headhunters Rina. Hina low dropkicks Rina. Hina slams Rina multiple times. Anna spinning heel kicks Rina in the corner and tags back out. Hina backbreakers Rina for 2.

Rina dropkicks Hina in the back. Rina hair throws Hina. Hina is tied up in the ropes and is dropkicked. Tora comes in and samoan drops then sentons Hina for 2. Hina hits a forearm flurry then hip throws her. Anna gets in and hits forearms on Tora. Anna running back elbows Rina then northern lights suplexes her. Tora crossbodies Anna for 2.

Rina facekicks and basement dropkicks Anna for 2. Anna knees Rina in the gut. Hina gets in and hits some offense on Rina for 2. They trade forearms. Hina takes a double back body drop for 2. Hina does a pumphandle drop on Rina for 2.

Hina takes a lariat from Tora and Rina gets a 2 count on her. Hina STO's Rina then Rina facekicks her. Rina northern lights suplexes her for 2. Hina rolls her up for 2 and Tora shoulders her opponents over. Rina does a driver on Hina for 2 then Hina neckbreakers her. Tora death valley drivers Hina and Rina top rope double knee drops Hina to win.

Thoughts: It was a weird match here. The faces beat up the heels almost all match long then the heels made their comeback and won. I don't know why this was done this way. It went longer thna it needed to and wasn't that great.

Hina and Rina get in each others faces after.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Block A Match - Saori Anou vs Koguma

They lock up. Kog tries to make her do her pose and is german suplexed for it. Anou sgtep up enzugiri's her and northern lights suplexes her. Anou puts her in a heavenly lock.

Anou goes up top and takes forearms. Kog then cutters her down from the top. They trade forearms on their knees then stand up and trade. Anou germans her then Kog germans her back. Kog rolls her up and pins her with a surprise pin.

Thoughts: It was a short one here and there wasn't a lot to go off of here before the finish. 

Kog tries to get Anou to do her pose after and Anou sits at one of the tables at ringside after.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Block A Match - Starlight Kid vs Xena

Xena backs her up on the ropes and chokes her. Kid cartwheels over her then rotation headscissors her. Xena shoulders her over. Xena hits a basement dropkick for 2 then suplexes her. Xena corner dropkicks her for 2.

Kid is caught on a springboard then Kid standing moonsaults Xena' knee. Xena springboard kicks her off the apron and Kid 619's her in the legs. Kid dragon screws Xena's leg over the middle rope then stretch mufflers her.

Xena sidekicks her and Kid dropkicks her in the knee. Kid hits double chops then Xena spinning side slams her. Kid kicks her in the head then Xena blocks a wraparound ddt. Xena then suplexes Kid off of it. Kid cross-legged fisherman suplexes Xena for 2. Kid hits a 180 splash for 2 then stretch mufflers her again.

Xena backbreakers Kid then running lariats her. Xena full-nelson lifts her into a german. Kid ddt's Xena and top rope moonsaults her. Kid hits another dragon screw then stretchmufflers her. Kid headscissors her with it and submits her.

Thoughts: It was the usual Kid match with her working the leg and eventually winning with a leg submission. It made sense and I was fine with this one. 

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Red Stars Block A Match - Natsupoi vs Hazuki 

Poi dropkicks Haz from behind and release germans her. Poi is thrown off the top back-first onto the apron. Haz ddt's her then sentons her. Haz hits facewash kicks on Poi then crossfaces her. Poi ropebreaks.

They trade forearms and Poi goes down. Haz running back elbows her, Poi cartwheels on her then hits an armdrag. Poi basement dropkicks her. Poi superkicks her then basement dropkicks her. Poi pulls Haz's arms back then does an indian deathlock with an armlock.

Haz pump kicks her. Haz goes to springboard and is forearmed down the floor. Poi top rope plancha's her. They get back in and trade forearms on their knees. They trade facekicks. They trade slaps and Haz forearm flurries the back of her head. Poi hits release germans then spin kicks Haz. Poi hits a nice headhunter, goes for a bridge pin and Haz tries a pin out of it. Poi la magistrals her for 2. Poi armbars her and Haz ropebreaks.

Haz 2nd rope superplexes her. Haz misses a top rope senton then Poi armbars her. Poi misses a 180 top rope splash then Haz 2nd rope codebreakers her. Haz suplexes her and the time runs out.

Thoughts: It was a good match here and it's a shame we didn't get a finish. They stiffed each other and kept a fast pace here. It was competitive and felt like either could have won it. This was easily the best thing on the show so far. 

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Red Stars Block B Match - Mayu Iwatani vs Tomoka Inaba

TI pump kicks her and knees her in the gut. TI hits a step up knee in the corner and running knees her for 2. TI snapmares her and headscissors her. Mayu spin kicks her in the gut, hits a punch then a superkick. TI pop-up knees her then spinning heel kicks her.

TI crossfaces her then buzzsaw kicks her for 2. Mayu germans her then headkicks her. TI knees her in the face then sitout slams her for 2. Mayu ducks a head kick and rolls her up with a bridge to win.

Thoughts: It was really short. They worked well together in the little time they got and I'm disappointed we got robbed out of a possible good match here. 

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Red Stars Block B Match - Tam Nakano vs Mei Seira

They start off fast and Mei crossbodies her. Mei backrolls her and they stand off. They shake hands and Tam stomps Mei's foot. Tam arm rolls her and hits kicks. Tam then axe kicks her. Tam hanging dragon sleepers her then top rope crossbodies her.

Mei trips her and rolls her. Tam avoids a dropkick and hits a basement dropkick. Mei springboard dropkicks her. They fight on the buckles and Tam's leg is banged off the top rope. Tam's leg is bridged on the apron and Mei double stomps it.

Mei pulls on Tam's leg. Mei hits dropkicks to Tam's leg. Tam hits forearms then release backdrops Mei. Mei release germans her. Tam no sells it then germans Mei. Tam wheelbarrow germans her for 2. Mei superkicks her and Tam spinning high kicks her. Mei dropkicks her. Tam spinning high kicks her and Mei dropkicks her in the knee. Mei ankle locks her and they roll each other win pin attempts.

Tam rolling armbars her into a pin for 2. Mei dropkicks her in the knee then does a neat surfboard variation with a dragon sleeper. Mei then taps her out.

Thoughts: It was a good match here. It was high speed and they kept this one moving. Mei worked the knee some here and the finish had the knees tied up which also helped things. I enjoyed this. 

AZM, Inaba and Mei have a discussion in the ring after. 

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Block B Match - Hanan vs Saya Kamatani

Han dropkicks her and running euros her. Saya slides out. Han comes off the apron and is kicked in the air. Han is then thrown into the seats. Saya sits a chain and waits for her to come back in. Saya trips her into the chair and shotgun dropkicks her. Saya hair throws her then poses on her on the ropes while she footchokes her. Saya axe kicks her back over the 2nd rope.

Han tries to fight back with chest forearms. Saya eye rakes her, snapmares her then chinlocks her. Han leg lariats her on the ropes then crossbodies her off the apron. Han running euros her for 2. Han hits a forearm flurry then Saya forearms her back. Han hip throws her then cuty specials her. Saya spinning heel kicks her.

Saya dropkicks her and flying knees her in the corner. Saya springboard crossbodies her for 2. Saya hits a northern lights suplex then Han leg lariats her. Han cuty specials her for 2. Saya hurricanrana's her but Han rolls through it. Han crucifixes her for 2 then Saya pump kicks her. Saya spinning heel kicks her then corkscrew kicks her back for 2. Han hits 2 backdrops and wins.

Thoughts: It was a shorter and quick match. It was one of the best matches I've seen Han have. It was fast paced and the two worked pretty well together doing athletic offense.

Han talks on the mic after. Suzu Suzuki gets on the mic and has words for her.

Overall thoughts: It was a long 13 match, 3 hour and 20 minute show. Some of the matches weren't really necessary and because of how many matches there are, we did not get everyone's best effort. It was a good night overall though. Manami and Hanan had their best matches so far in the tournament. Tam vs Mei was good and Poi vs Hazuki was good. I wouldn't recommend it due to the length, but I liked it overall.

We see clips from a #1 contenders battle royale for the NWA Title that Colby Corino won. Matt Cardona comes out, who they say is the active CEO of NWA Powerrr and that's totally news to me.

Colby Corino talks. He says he's been waiting his whole life to get a shot at the NWA Title. He says he felt like he's been walking in his dad's shadow and needs to make some footsteps of his own. He says he shouldn't knock what EC3 brings to the table but EC3 shouldn't knock what he brings to the table either. He said he doesn't think there's one person on the planet he can't hold down for 3 seconds.

We get a new old school style intro video for NWA Powerrr.

Matt Cardona talks to Colby Corino and Kyle Davis in the ring. Matt says Knoxville, Tennessee sucks, which is the town they are in. He tells the crowd to show him respect and says welcome to NWA Back to The Territories. He says the NWA sign should say, "MCWA", the Matt Cardona Wrestling Alliance. He says he's in charge tonight. He says Billy Corgan isn't here tonight and he's off being a rockstar. He said Billy made him the CEO - the Cardona Executive Officer. Matt says there will be a lot of great matches tonight. 

He says Colby has the biggest opportunity of his life tonight. He tells him not to take EC3 lightly as EC3 beat him. Colby said he's been waiting his whole life for this chance. He says it's time to walk out of his father's shadow and make his own footsteps. Colby says there's not one man he doesn't think he can hold on the mat for 3 seconds.

Joe Galli and Danny Dealz talk and run down the show.

I will not be covering the Natalia Markova match. She won by countout.

EC3 is interviewed by Kyle Davis. EC3 congratulates Colby. He said Colby's dad once held the title but says there is not a second or third gen wrestler he can't beat. He says he's The Overman, because he's over, man. He said Colby waited for this moment for his whole life, but he does this everyday. He said he starts his second year as champ strong tonight.

NWA World Title - EC3 vs Colby Corino

CC hammerlocks him. EC reverses it then gets reversed. EC side headlocks him then shoulders him over. CC kips up. EC side headlocks him then CC side headlocks him. CC rolls up EC then armdrags him. CC flips out of a hiptoss and backslides him. CC hits armdrags. 

CC armdrags him using the ropes and walks up the ropes, does bad rope tricks and armdrags him off the ropes. CC 2nd rope twisting crossbodies him. CC legsweeps him then misses a standing imploding 450. EC lariats him.

EC hits chops in the corner. EC hits a corner lariat then thesz presses him. EC spinebusters him then does something like an STO, only he grabbed him over the top of the head. EC powerbombs him.

CC hits corner attacks. CC hits an olympic slam then standing imploding 450's him. CC ddt's him for 2. CC spears him on the apron. CC hits a tope con hilo. CC goes to springboard is tripped on the ropes then EC hits a jay driller to win.

Thoughts: I guess it was fine. CC got most of the offense in here but really got put down far too easily. I didn't buy that he had a chance of winning here as he has not been pushed in any way to suggest that. 

NWA World Tag Titles - Blunt Force Trauma (Carnage and Damage) vs Mike Knox and Trevor Murdoch

Aron Stevens is with BFT and Eric Smalls is with Murdoch and Knox. Knox backs up Carnage in the corner and Carnage hides behind the ropes to avoid a punch. Knox slams Carnage and Carnage slides out. BFT walks to the back to leave then Knox and Murdoch intercept them.

Carnage takes corner punches and is thrown out. Damage boots Murdoch in the gut and Murdoch back elbows him. Murdoch full-nelsons him. Aron Stevens hits Murdoch with a loaded glove from the outside. He gets on the apron then Eric Smalls punches Aron in the nuts.

Damage foot chokes Murdoch in the corner. We go to break and return. Damage hits shots on Murdoch and headbutt flurries him in the gut. Damage grounds Murdoch then Carnage misses a corner splash on Murdoch. Knox gets the hot tag in. He facekicks Carnage then backdrops him for 2. Murdoch full-nelson slams Damage. Carnage is handed Aron's loaded glove but Knox crossbodies him and takes the glove. Knox punches Aron on the apron then nails Damage.

Carnage dropkicks Knox then Carnage takes a high/low. Carnage is then pinned. Knox and Murdoch win the NWA Tag Titles.

Thoughts: It was fine. I'm not sure how much we missed of this as there was a break. The wrestlers were coming in and out of this one often and it was a bit hard to keep track of what was going on at times. It was interesting to see BFT get thrown around and overpowered for a change. I didn't like the loaded glove spot here. The faces took the glove and nothing fell out of it and the glove is thin, so I have a hard time buying that it's some lethal weapon.

Overall thoughts: I saw 2 of the 3 matches here. The main was fine and not must see. We definitely missed some of it but who knows how much of it that was. EC3 vs Corino was shorter match with EC3 not getting a ton in before grabbing the win. I'm not sure what the Matt Cardona stuff was about other than him likely being advertised and unable to wrestle and them coming up with a way to get him on the show. I would not recommend this one.

There's an intergender tag opening match between Daisy Kill/Markova vs AJ Cazana/Rising that I won't be watching.

The Southern Six do a promo. Alex says they are the greatest faction in wrestling and will dominate at Back to the Territories. Silas says they are running the NWA and the wrestling world. He says they are going back to the territories and says the territories are hot.

We see the same Magic Jake Dumas and The Kids interview from last week.

Magic Jake Dumas and The Kids (Alexander Lev and Jackson Drake) vs Carson Drake and The Slimeballz (Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant)

The two Drake's go at it. Jackson punches Carson and Carson tags out. Sage gets kicked by Jackson then Sage takes a high/low. Carson standing ssp's Sage. Something gets in Lev's eyes and Sage dropkicks him. Sage bottom rope springboard headbutts Lev then Rant hits Lev with his crotch.

Carson front facelocks Lev. Carson goofs off and spinning toe holds Lev. Jake and Rant get in. Jake atomic drops him then superkicks Rant. Jake flapjacks Sage. Jake TKO's Rant. Carson is lariated over the top and Jake goes with him, arguably taking a worse bump. Lev gets in and hits a lariat then Rant boots him. Jackson misses a corner dropkick.

Sage blows his nose into his shirt then Rant rocket launchers Sage onto Lev to win it.

Thoughts: It was a short one with people coming in and out constantly. I'm not even sure that either get in the pin was legal. This was not good and was rushed.

Aron Stevens and BFT do a promo. Aron says they will put their tag titles on the line vs Knox and Murdoch. Aron says they don't care about Eric Smalls. Aron says his crew are an unbeatable unit. Aron says the joke will be on Smalls, Knox and Murdoch. Aron says they will keep the tag titles and says Smalls will be left in a big pool of his body fluids and disappointment. He says there's no chance of beating BFT.

The King Bees are interviewed by Kyle Davis. The Bees say Kenzie Paige can dream about being a double champ but she has to beat them and it won't happen. The other Bee says they beat them to win and retain the belts. She says they have another thing coming if they think they can come in and beat them and says they are always ready for a fight.

We get another OnlySlams commercial.

Ella Envy vs Missa Kate

Ms. Starr is with Ella. Kate side headlock takeovers her and then side headlocks her. Ella headscissors her. Kate handstands out of the headscissors and poses. Kate side headlocks her. Ella goes out to stall and Kate runs into Ms. Starr. She puts Starr's cape over Starr's head.

Kate snpmares Ella then does a grounded a submission. Kate tries to put her gum in Ella's mouth. Ella double footpresses her out of the corner then Ella pounds on her. Ella sleepers her.

Kate's head is banged off the buckles then Ella's head is banged off the buckles. Kate pumping knees her in the corner for 2. Starr trips Kate. Ella flatliners Kate and gets the win.

Thoughts: It wasn't that long of a match. They threw a lot of personality into this one and tried to make it entertaining. Maybe it wasn't great, but it did keep my attention and wasn't boring.

Kenzie Paige talks. She says her title spears for herself. She says she's the NWA Women's champ and says she's the youngest NWA Women's champ ever. She say she's the first woman to own a territory in the NWA. She says her sister is the youngest NWA champ of all time. She said her title win wasn't for her but was for the NWA. 

Kylie Paige and Kenzie Paige vs Tiffany Nieves and Reka Tehaka

Kenzie and Tiff go at it. They shove each other and Tiff eye rakes Kenzie. Reka shoulders over Kenzie for 1. Kenzie hits shots on her then bangs her head off the buckles. Reka no sells it and stares her down. Reka blocks a headscissors with a backbreaker. Kenzie throws her down backwards then Reka is stomped on by both opponents.

Tiff ducks a double clothesline. Kenzie superkicks Reka. The Paige Sisters hit stereo dropkicks through the ropes. Reka spinning side slams Kylie then backbreakers her for 2. Reka grabs Kylie by the throat then headbutts her.

Kyle hits a code red on Reka and wins.

Thoughts: This was short and nothing really of note. This didn't really do much for anyone and made Tiff and Reka take an unnecessary loss.

Overall thoughts: There was nothing to see here as often is the case with the NWA. The three matches I saw were all short and weren't that great. I wouldn't recommend this.

Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett are the commentators today. This is Joe's first show as a commentator. Wade Barrett is in the ring and welcomes us to the show, then introduces Joe, who gets in the ring with him. Joe says this reminds him of a Denver Broncos crowd.

We see various wrestlers arrive.

Rhea Ripley comes out to talk. She said her and Priest brutalized Liv and Dom. She says they are just getting started with Judgment Day. She said she pinned the women's champ and it's time to get back what she lost.

Dominik Mysterio comes out. Dom says him and Liv were jetlagged in Berlin and says Liv will accept her title match challenge. Dom says Liv beat her before and will beat her again. Dom says they will both have gold when he wins the IC Title. Rhea says she will face Liv anytime and any place. Liv then goes to attack Rhea and gets hit. Rhea grabs Dom, gets tied up in the ropes and hangs upside down. Liv boots her. Damian Priest then comes out to save Rhea. 

American Made talk in the back. Chad says he's tired of losing to The Wyatt's. He said last week doesn't represent what they are as a team. He says they aren't here to mess around this week. He tells them they are American Made and to go out and show them. He then slaps Julius and they head to the ring.

Rhea's leg is being checked out in the back. Priest says to give her some space. Priest says he will try to get a match with Judgment Day as pain needs to come. He says he needs Rhea healthy.

Mixed Tag Match - Alpha Academy (Otis, Maxxine Duprii and Akira Tozawa) vs American Made (The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile)

Julius Creed = JC, Brutus Creed = BC

They all fight in the ring. BC hits mounted shots on Akira. Akira takes a double gutbuster. Akira spin kicks BC then corkscrew kicks him. Otis lariats BC outside then takes a flying knee from JC. JC goes for a top rope crossbody and Otis slams him down. Max jumps on Ivy and hits mounted punches. Max dropkicks her.  

Otis double shoulders The Creed's. Otis puts Akira on his shoulders and swings Akira at them. Max his a top rope plancha off the top onto everyone then Alpha Academy poses.

We go to break and return. Ivy throws Max into the rails and JC blocks a tag. BC samoan drops Akira then asai moonsaults him. Akira ddt's JC. Otis gets the tag in. He lariats and spinning back elbows JC. Otis then lariats JC. Otis back body drops BC and JC. Oits splashes JC. Otis hits a caterpillar elbow on JC then cannonballs BC.

Akira pulls BC over the top then topes him. Akira topes JC but is caught and belly to belly suplexed on the floor. JC is knocked off the apron into the rails. BC top rope brutusballs Otis. Max and Ivy go at it. Max flying knees Ivy then release fisherman suplexes her. Max corner spin kicks Ivy. Max then does a reverse caterpillar.

Chad Gable distracts Max on the apron and high kicks him. Ivy puts a dragon sleeper on Max and submits her.

Thoughts: As usual, it became an intergender match half-way through with the ref helpless to do anything about it and the men not being smart enough to go after the women. I felt like The Creed's did some different stuff here from usual. These are odd matches because when it's two matches in one with the women vs women and the men vs men and it's hard to make them flow together and build a story with it.

Chad asks for a moment of applause for the greatest fighting family in the business. Chad says he has seen what it takes to beat Uncle Howdy and says he has it right here. Chad says they want an 8-man tag next week. He says he wants it to be a streetfight and says they will get rid of The Wyatt' s for America.

Uncle Howdy comes out. He says his sanity crumbled and his past is in the void now.  He says the silence is deafening but he can still hear "it". He says his life is no longer his. He says they will collect the dead then the rest of The Wyatt's come out. 

Thoughts: It was the usual nonsense from Howdy here that was hard to understand and follow. 

Zelina Vega vs Shayna Baszler

Vega slaps her, runs out of the ring, gets back in and boots SB. Vega armdrags her then armdrags her off the casadora. SB is on the 2nd rope and Vega 619's her.

We go to break and return. Vega is caught off the 2nd rope but stunners SB. Vega his clotheslines then ddt's SB and hits a top rope moonsault for 2. SB attacks Pure Fusion Collective on the apron. Vega kicks her as she comes back in and pins her.

Thoughts: This was a short and totally nothing match.

Vega is beaten up after by PFC and Lyra comes out to help Vega. Lyra gets beaten up too. Sonya says them being on the ground shows how pathetic everyone is. Sonya says there's not a man who can take them home or a woman who can take them out.

Priest and Rhea talk in the back. Rhea says she will be okay. Priest says Finn Balor will only face him in a tag match but he doesn't have any friends around here to team with. Rhea says she has someone in mind.

Zelina Vega and Lyra complain about Pure Fusion Collective in the back. Lyra says it's time to fight back. Vega wants to take them back. Lyra says they are in Calgary next week and she has an idea.

CM Punk comes out to talk. He said it's good to be alive after the rough strap match. He said the match was a personal issue for him and said we now get to get down to business. He says he's a businessman. He syas he's not here to make friends but money.

He brings up Gunther. He said he took Orton to his limit and went past it. He said he put Drew to sleep and said it's time CM Punk woke up as champ. He tells Gunther to enjoy the title as he will enjoy taking it off of him. Punk tells Gunther to get used to hearing Cult of Personality.

Punk poses on the commentary table and Drew McIntyre knocks him down. Drew pounds on him and bangs Punk's head off the commentary table. Wade Barrett tries to break it up and Drew hits a claymore kick on Punk. Punk loses one of his shoes after taking the kick.

Punk is thrown in the ring and takes another claymore kick. Drew stomps his head then Daivari and Jason jordan try to stop him. Drew then takes the bracelet back from Punk and breaks it. Drew puts the beads in Punk's mouth then claymore kicks him. Adam Pearce then comes down to try and stop it. The stretcher is then brought out for Punk.

Thoughts: If they were continuing this feud, they shouldn't have done so much to make it seem over at the PPV. I'm not really sure where else this needs to go or what's left to explore at this point as we have seen it all with these two.

Punk is wheeled backstage on the stretcher. Drew attacks Punk on the stretcher and Punk's mouth is bleeding.

#1 Contender's Tournament Match for the Intercontinental Title - Ilja Dragunov vs Dominik Mysterio vs Dragon Lee

Lee has a new dragon entrance outfit with wings that looks cool. Dom takes shots from both opponents then is thrown over the top. Ilja shoulders him over then Lee flying headscissors him. Dom trips Lee then slingshot swantons him. Dom michinoku drivers Lee for 2. 

Ilja hits germans then we get a double german suplex spot. We go to break and return. Dom and Lee fight up top then Ilja powerbombs Lee. Ilja goes for the pin and Dom frogsplashes them. Ilja blocks a Dom 619. Ilja death valley drivers Dom on the apron. Lee jumps over the top rope and hurricanrana's Ilja to the floor. Carlito comes down and pushes Lee off the top rope. Priest then comes down and fights Carlito. Dom dropkicks Priest through the ropes and Priest runs around the arena to get him.

Ilja and Lee trade. They each hit facekicks and Lee germans him. Lee superkicks him then Ilja enzugiri's him. They botch a spot and Lee sitout powerbombs him for 2. Lee comes off the top and takes a chop. Ilja death valley drivers him in the corner. Ilja is in tree of woe and Lee top rope double stomps him. Lee basement dropkicks Ilja then Ilja cradles him for 2.

Lee pumping knees and superkicks him then Ilja flying headbutts him for the win.

Thoughts: It was your usual three way and was a high speed match with big moves. I didn't think it was anything special but at least they tied the Priest/Judgment Day feud into this.

Adam Pearce is interviewed about Bronson Reed being out of the triple threat tonight. Braun Strowman walks in and is all taped up and sore. He wants in and said he was told it's up to him if he can go. Pearce says he will put him in if he says he can go. 

WWE Women's Tag Titles #1 Contender - Damage Ctrl (Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane) vs Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn

Bianca and Jade come down to watch this. Alba foots Sane then Isla slaps Sane. Sane uses the ropes and headscissors Isla. Sane flying forearms Isla off the apron. Sane urakens Alba then Iyo asai moonsaults Alba.

We go to break and return. Isla backrops Sane. Alba boots Sane and Sane ddt's her out of a suplex attempt. Iyo comes in and hits shots on Alba. She swings Alba's foot into Isla. Iyo hits a double dropkick. Iyo double underhook backbreakers Alba then germans her for 2.

Sane jumps off the top outside and nails Bianca when Isla pulls Bianca into it. Iyo slaps Alba and Bianca forearms Sane, which should be a DQ. Iyo stomps on Alba then Isla pulls Iyo's throat down over the bottom rope. Iyo takes a gori special flatliner and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a disaster for the most part. They just had a bunch of awkward moments here where it didn't look like anyone knew what was going on. Sane's face got all busted up off the dive to the outside. I don't get why they are going to do Alba/Isla vs Jade/Bianca again.

Kofi Kingston talks to Adam Pearce in the back. He says Judgment Day hasn't defended their titles in 2 months and he has a proposition for him. Gunther walks past them and smirks.

Thoughts: Odyssey Jones has been with The New Day for the last few weeks and has not been on TV for the last two weeks. There's been rumors all day that he may be gone from WWE and his profile was removed from their website. It seems like something is up.

Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley talk in the back. Priest asks about Rhea finding a partner. She says the person didn't say yes, but he said yeet. 

Gunther comes out to talk. He talks about Bash at Berlin being a success and says he's responsible for it. He says he beat the greatest version of Randy Orton. Gunther says he's the greatest champ in history. Sami Zayn comes out.

Sami said he has thought about his IC Title reign the last few weeks and where he has been and where he's headed. He said everyone calls the IC Title the workhorse title but says the true greats used the IC Title to win the World Title. Sami says that's what Gunther did and says that's what he will do. He says he's coming after the title.

Gunther says he's right and says Sami's name is on the list of legends who held the title. He said Sami gets up and brushes it off when things don't go well. Gunther says no to Sami's title shot and leaves.

Sami tells him to hold on. Sami said he has never seen Gunther back down from a fight. He says Gunther knows Sami is the only guy who has beaten him in WWE (not true). Sami says he's coming for him and be a world champ.

Thoughts: I'm kind of Gunther's side here. Sami hasn't done much but lose lately.

Jey Uso is interviewed in the back. He says yeet a bunch of times and Bron Breakker comes in. He says no member of Jeys' family has beaten up a member of his and he won't be the first to do it. He tells him to keep chasing mami and Judgment Day. He says he will give him one chance to walk away. Bron says Jey will lose if he comes after his title. Jey says "thanks for the advice, rookie". Jey says Bron has his attention. He says he will win the tournament and the IC Title and beat his @ss while he does it.

#1 Contender's Tournament Match for the Intercontinental Title - Sheamus vs Ludwig Kaiser vs Braun Strowman

Kaiser slides out. Sheamus goes after him and they fight outside. Braun running shoulderblocks them over. Sheamus is sent into the post. Braun charges at Kaiser and is sent through the timekeeper's rail.

We go to break and return. Sheamus spears the post when Kaiser moves. Sheamus takes a dropkick out. Kaiser runs around the ring at him but Braun throws a rolling chair at his head out of nowhere. Braun hits lariats on Sheamus then uranage's him for 2. Sheamus pumping knees Bruan in the back then clubs his chest.

Sheamus pumping knees Braun off the apron. Kaiser rolling death valley drivers Sheamus for 2. Sheamus pump kicks Kaiser and Pete Dunne breaks the pin up. Pete hits Sheamus with a shillelagh. Braun corner splashes Kaiser then powerslams him. Braun then gets the win.

Thoughts: Braun getting the win was an upset. I would have had him pin Sheamus instead of Kaiser. It was fine but it was on the shorter end of things and was nothing memorable. Braun should not have been wrestling here though after being splashed on a car just last week.

Jey Uso and Damian Priest talk in the back. Jey says he used to be Priest without friends and family. He says he respects him and says he won't say no to Rhea. Priest says the beating of Judgment Day tonight is for Rhea.

Pete Dunne is interviewed in the back. He says what he did to Sheamus was a message for an old friend and says he will smash Trick tomorrow. Jackie asks if she should tell Sheamus that it was from Butch. Pete says not to call him Butch.

Damian Priest and Jey Uso vs Judgment Day (Finn Balor and JD McDonaugh)

Finn avoids DP. DP push kicks JD out of the ring then throws Finn in. JD hits leg kicks on DP. DP flying back elbows JD. Jey enzugiri's JD for 2. JD jawbreakers Jey. Jey is double teamed in the corner. JD trips and legdrops Jey.

Finn pounds on Jey. Jey throws Finn out then back body drops JD out. Jey then suicide dives both outside. We go to break and return. Jey fights out of the corner and Finn corner spears Jey. JD seated moonsaults Jey then armbars him.

They trade shots. JD headbutts him then Jey enzugiri's him. DP gets the hot tag in and beats up his opponents. He drops Finn with a forearm then hits flying back elbows on both. DP superkicks Finn then rebound lariats him.

JD pulls DP's throat down over the top and Finn elbow slices DP. DP hits a flying double clothesline and Jey hits a top rope double crossbody. Jey hits superkicks on his opponents then spears JD. Liv Morgan comes down and crotches Jey on top. Finn slingblades Jey then john woo's him. Finn top rope double stomps Jey then JD top rope moonsaults Jey for 2.

Liv gets on the apron and the ref is distracted. Rhea Ripley then comes down on a crutch. Liv laughs and mocks her. Liv talks trash and Rhea swings the crutch at her. Liv then escapes. Jey spears Finn then DP hits a razor's edge on JD. Jey hits a top rope splash and wins.

Thoughts: It was fine but nothing memorable. I don't like Jey being all buddy-buddy with Priest after their history though they did try to explain it. I didn't live Liv running from a one-legged Rhea either. Judgment Day lost as expected and they really could use a win.

Rhea does Jey's dance and sings his song after.

Overall thoughts: The show was nothing special and not that interesting. There's just nothing that new going on. We've seen Drew/Punk, Sami/Gunther, American Made/The Wyatt's and Ex-Judgment Day vs Judgment Day already. Bron is really the only somewhat new and exciting thing happening right now and it's not enough. I'm not a fan of Joe Tessitore so far as he sounds like a football announcer and does not have a lot of personality to him. I didn't like the IC Title Tournament being all three-ways as three-ways are a type of match that doesn't produce greatness. I didn't like this show that much.

Momo Kohgo vs. Waka Tsukiyama vs. Rian

They all shake hands. Both girls wristlock Momo. Waka is put in a double headlock then takes a double basement dropkick. Momo camel clutches Waka and Ri basement dropkicks Momo while she does it. Waka dropkicks Ri then hip attacks Momo on the ropes.

Waka gets on both opponents backs at the same time and pulls back on one of their arms each. Ri headscissors Momo out of the corner then basement dropkicks her. Momo takes hip attacks from Waka and Ri. Ri dropkicks Waka as she dances.

They trade chest forearms then Ri dropkicks her. Ri crossbodies Waka then fisherman suplexes her for 2. Momo hits a double 619 for 2. Ri hits chest forearms on Momo then Momo dropkicks her. Momo goes for a backslide, Ri backflips and does her own backslide off of it. Waka then northern lights suplexes Ri and wins.

Thoughts: It was a quick and entertaining three-way. We got a couple of creative spots here and they had some fun before ending this one.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Block B Match - Ranna Yagami vs Hanan

Han wristlocks her. Ran does it back to her then Han side headlocks her. Han side headlock takeovers  her. Han hits a basement dropkick then leg lariats her on the ropes. Han crabs her and Ran ropebreaks.

Han stomps on Ran then hits a chop flurry. Han slams her for 2. Ran hits forearms to the chest and Han drops her with one. Ran running kicks her in the corner and back kicks her for 2. Ran armbars her and Han ropebreaks.

Ran hits chest kicks then Han hip throws her. Han is caught with a kick off the 2nd rope then Ran PK's her for 2. Ran then goes for the armbar and Han rolls her into a pin attempt. Han misses a euro and Ran goes for the armbar again.

Han leg lariats her then Ran does her own leg lariat for 2. Han hits a cuty special for 2. Han then fameassers her. Ran gets her back and does a surprise pin attempt and pins her for the upset win.

Thoughts: The work was mostly average but it worked out better than expected and Ranna got the upset which was cool. It was basically like a lower card match but I liked it. They kept cutting to one of the wrestlers in the seats watching this one during it. 

They both talk on the mic after and Hanan does not seem thrilled about the loss.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Block A Match - Koguma vs Anna Jay

They shake hands. Kog does her taunt/dance as usual. Anna does it with her then boots her. Kog trips her and baseball slides her. Kog camel clutches her and does her taunt while doing it. Anna ropebreaks. Anna hits knees to the gut and bangs Kog's head off the buckles.

Anna foot chokes her then suplexes her. Anna foot chokes her on the ropes and does Kog's taunt while she does it. They trade forearms and Kog 2nd rope crossbodies her. Kog corner splashes her then stomps on Anna's back.

Kog gets on her back for a sleeper. Anna hits forearms then spinning heel kicks her in the corner. Anna northern lights suplexes her. Kog cutters Anna then Kog 2nd rope dropkicks Anna. Anna side kicks her then they roll each other up. Kog rolls up Anna for 2.

Anna sleepers her and grounds her with it. Kog is out and the match is stopped.

Thoughts: It was just an average and somewhat light hearted match. They got out before it got boring or bad and I guess it worked, but it was little more than a midcard match. It was your usual Koguma match.

Cosmic Angels (Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara) vs. God's Eye (Hina & Saki Kashima) vs. HATE (Natsuko Tora & Rina)

This had a lot of people coming in and out real fast with lots of double team manuevers. It was completely hectic and too hard to properly transcribe. Hina pinned Rina here after Saki hit a double facebuster. It had no boring moments to it and there was no lack of action.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Block A Match - Starlight Kid vs Miyu Amasaki

They tease a handshake but both back off. Kid rolls her into a leg lock. Miyu rolls her with a front facelock and rolls her into another pin attempt.  Kid armdrags Miyu then twists her leg with her feet.

Kid standing moonsaults Miyu's knee then rolls her into an indian deathlock. Kid footchokes her on the ropes. Miyu boots Kid out of the corner then tornado facebusters her. Miyu hits a short ddt for 2 then pull on her neck while tying up her arms.

Kid works on Miyu's knee and dragon screws it over the middle rope. Miyu pendulum ddt's Kid then Kid cross-legged fisherman suplexes her. They hold each other by the hand and trade forearms. Miyu hits elbows on Kid and Kid hits a big chest forearm too. 

Miyu 2nd rope ddt's Kid. Kid holds her neck and seems like she's in real pain after it then Miyu basement dropkicks her out. Miyu tornado ddt's her on the floor. Miyu hits another tornado ddt for 2.

Kid blocks a facebuster and dragon screws Miyu's leg. Kid flying double knees Miyu in the back. Kid rolls up Miyu for 2 and stretch mufflers her. Kid puts her in a texas cloverleaf. Kid 180 splashes Miyu then misses a top rope moonsault. Miyu gets a 2 count on a pin attempt then Kid dropkicks her. Miyu hammerlock ddt's her then lifts her in the air for a ddt for 2. Miyu does a pedigree style move and the time runs out.

Thoughts: I liked this one and thought it was one of Miyu's better matches. Kid worked Miyu's knee and Miyu worked Kid's neck. Kid did some good selling of the neck here.

They talk on the mic after and walk out with each other.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Block B Match - Risa Sera vs Thekla

Thek beats up on Risa during intros and hits her with her title belt in front of the ref. Thek top rope double stomps her back and bangs Risa's head off the post. Thek gets sent into the seats. Thek throws chairs at risa, who blocks them with a chair. Thek grabs a crutch, Risa tries to hit her with it and the ref stops it.

Back in the ring, Risa giant swings her. Risa hits forearms and Thek knocks her down with one. Thek facekicks her on the ropes. Thek hits a spear for 2 then crossfaces her. Thek hits foot slaps then Risa drops her while she's across her back. Risa puts a high crab on her and Thek ends up slapping her to get out.

Risa hits the ref on accident. Thek chokes her with a weapon. Thek whips her with it and Risa chairs her many times. Risa kicks the ref and continues to chair her. HATE then try to break it up as Risa pounds on Thek.

Thoughts: It was short and had a rare DQ finish here. I don't really get the logic of why Risa was DQ'd when Thek hit her with a belt to start. This wasn't much.

They lock up. Xena wristlocks her and Syu tries to roll out. Xena throws her down by the arm and armlocks her. Xena fireman's carry takeovers her. Xena backslides her then hits another armdrag. Syu rolls her up off of it. Syu dropkicks her and takes a basement dropkick after missed strikes. Xena euros her on the ropes and double underhook suplexes her. Xena corner basement dropkicks her for 2.

Syuri flying headscissors her then bulldogs her off the casadora. Syu fujiwara armbars her and switches to a normal armbar. Syu knees her through the ropes. Xena is laying on the 2nd rope and powerslams Syu on the apron. Xena plancha's Syu.

Xena is pulled off the apron and goes head first on the apron. Syu then tornado ddt's her on the floor. Syu top rope diving guillotine legdrops her on the back of the neck for 2. They trade forearms. Xena chop flurries her. Syu hits chest kicks. Syu germans Xena. Xena hits a chop and a fisherman's suplex variation. Xena running lariats her for 2.

Xena dragon suplex lifts her into a high german. Syu ddt's her then grounded sleepers her. Syu bridging ddt's her for 2. Syu pump kicks her then flying knees her for 2. Syu buzzsaw kicks her then hits an emerald flowsion for the win.

Thoughts: There was no story or even face vs heel storylines here but the work was okay. Xena's improving and didn't look out of place here with Syuri. It was better than I expected.

5STAR Grand Prix 2024 Blue Stars Block A Match - Saya Kamitani vs Suzu Suzuki

They each avoid a lock-up. Suzu side headlocks her. Saya eye rakes her from the apron then bangs her head off the buckles. Suzu springboards and somehow Suzu does offense to her off of it? Suzu chokes her on the ropes.

Suzu kicks her in back then drive-by kicks her on the ropes. Suzu hits knees to the head then Saya hits a nice dropkick. Saya springboard plancha's her outside then springboard splashes her inside. Suzu hits a big forearm and Saya fires back. They trade. Saya blocks kicks and a tequila shot then spinning high kicks her. Suzu superkicks her.

Saya 2nd rope hurricanrana's her. Suzu germans Saya then Suzu spinning heel kicks her. Saya hits a top rope dropkick for 2. Saya grabs the leg and suplexes her then Suzu ddt's her. Saya hurricanrana's her but Suzu rolls through with a pin attempt. Suzu hits a tequila shot for 2. Suzu germans her and rolls into another german for 2. Saya poisonrana's her for 1. Saya hits a ki krusher then pump kicks her. Saya hits another ki krusher and wins.

Thoughts: It was an athletic match here. The work was okay but there was no story or anything and heel Saya isn't that much different than face Saya. I was fine with this.

Saya talks to Suzu on the mic after and Suzu has some words for her as well.

Overall thoughts: There was nothing must see on this one. It had a bunch of average to okay matches here though Kid vs Miyu was good. I wouldn't recommend this.
