Marigold 9/12/2026 Dream Star Grand Prix 2026 Day 6

We get some talking and we see all of the girls in the GP to open the show.

DREAM STAR Grand Prix 2026 Block D Match - Chika Goto vs. Shinno

Shin running dropkicks her and hits chest forearms. Goto side headlocks her. Goto slams her and shoulders her over. Goto misses a hip attack on the ropes and Shin hits chest kicks on her. Shin PK's her for 2.

Shin hits leg kicks. They each miss corner moves and Goto corner splashes her. Goto corner hip attacks her. Shin blocks a giant swing and pop up dropkicks her. Shin tilt-a-whirl bodypresses her. Shin then armbars her.

Shin bangs Goto's arm off her shoulder. Shin then pulls Goto's arm around the 2nd rope. Shin cradles her off a slam for 2. Shin then low dropkicks her. Goto samoan drops her. Goto giant swings her. 

Shin rolls her up for 2 counts then goes for a backslide. Shin knees her in the chest for 2. Shin rolls her over for 2. Shin jumps on her and Goto just kind of falls down for 2. Shin armbars her. Goto lariats her on the ropes. Shin shotei's her and Goto drops her with a forearm. Shin high kicks her. Shin pumping knees her for 2. Goto lariats her down for 2. Goto emerald flowsions her and pins her.

Thoughts: Goto was useless here. She kept dropping Shin and falling over which made Shin look bad. Shin really tried here with stiff shows and spirit too. This wasn't a good a opener and it was all on Goto.

DREAM STAR Grand Prix 2026 Block C Match - Mai Sakurai vs. Hummingbird

Hum cradles her off the handshake and tries more pin attempts for 2 counts. Hum running back elbows her in the corner then double boots her there. Hum ties up her arms with her leg and rolls her. 

Hum boots her in the face on the ropes and Mai facekicks her down. Hum is laid on the top rope and kicked in the gut. Mai broski boots her for 2. Mai camel clutches her. 

Mat stomps her back. Mai spin kicks her in the gut, axe kicks her and basement dropkicks her. They trade chest shots. Hum flying headscissors her. Hum dropkicks her over the bottom rope. Hum top rope crossbodies her for 2. Hum buzzsaw kicks her. 

Hum misses a top rope frogsplash. Mai basement dropkicks her. Mai overhead suplexes her for 2. Mai basement dropkicks her for 2. Hum rolls her up for 2 and Mai facekicks her for 2. Hum high kicks her and spinning high kicks her for 2. Mai backdrops her for 2. Mai STO's her and pins her.

Thoughts: It was acceptable but not much more. They were competent but this should have been a little better than it was. I though they maybe did too many pin attempts in the second half of this and lost the flow. 

Mila Smidt & The Lady AI vs. Darkness Revolution (CHIAKI & Rea Seto)

AI doesn't have her wrestling gear on here for some reason.

MS and Chi go at it. MS rams her into the corner and hits forearms. MS running back elbows her. Chi hits corner spears and shoulders her over. MS shoulders her over. AI gets in and is kicked from behind then thrown out.

AI's head is banged off the seats. Rea whips her with a whip and slaps her. Rea stomps AI in the ring. Rea bangs AI's head off the buckles and hair throws her. Rea boots her in the corner. 

Chi corner spears AI. AI hits chest forearms on her and is booted over. Chi sits on AI's back and basement dropkicks her. Chi boots AI in the face and pump kicks her over the bottom rope.

Rea throws AI down by the arm and cranks her arm back. Rea armbars her. AI rolls her into a pin attempt. The cameraman sneezes. AI shoulders Rea over and MS tags in. MS hits chops on Rea then Chi boots MS from behind. MS handspring double lariats her opponents. MS flipping neckbreakers Rea from the side for 2.

MS takes a stunner over the top rope then a dropkick from Rea. Chi legdrops MS for 2. MS lariats Chi down for 2. AI hits chest forearms on Chi. Chi shoulders AI over. Rea shoulder throws AI. Rea stomps AI's arm on the bottom rope. Rea baseball slides AI. AI half crabs Rea. 

Rea slams AI for 1. MS spinning side slams Rea. AI sentons Rea or 2. Chi double spears her opponents. Rea low dropkicks AI in the face for 2. MS sends Rea into the post outside. AI STO's Rina for 2. Rea rolls AI into a pin attempt for 2. AI does cattle mutilation to AI and submits her.

Thoughts: It went a lot longer than it needed to when the result was never in doubt. AI lost here as expected. The heels did basic heeling as usual. Mila didn't look bad. AI did not look right out there wrestling in a shirt and gym shorts. 

DREAM STAR Grand Prix 2026 Block A Match - Misa Matsui vs. Yuuka Yamazaki

MM trips her. They run the ropes and YY dropkicks her. YY hair throws MM but MM cartwheels out. MM distracts her and hits her in the gut. MM basement dropkicks her and bangs YY's head off the buckles. MM hair throws her. 

YY is put in tree of woe and takes a running knee. MM sends YY into the seats. YY is thrown into the post. YY stomps her outside and gets a 2 count on her inside. MM twists her neck with her feet and stomps her. 

MM slams her for 2. YY codebreakers her. YY flying knees her in the corner, facebusters her and basement dropkicks her for 1. YY hits a twist of fate for 2. MM rolls her into a stretch muffler and YY ropebreaks.

MM crossbodies her against the bottom rope for 2. They trade forearms. MM superkicks her and YY step up enzugiri's her. YY suplexes her then MM fisherman suplexes her. YY boots her out of the corner and 2nd rope diving codebreakers her for 2. 

YY is swept off the 2nd rope and MM 2nd rope double stomps her. MM low flying knees her for 2. YY rolls her up and pins her.

Thoughts: The ref delayed the count on the pinfall here for some reason which didn't make sense. It was average. They hit their moves clean but didn't do a whole lot else here.  

DREAM STAR Grand Prix 2026 Block D Match - Kouki Amarei vs. Nagisa Tachibana

NT runs at her and hits chest forearms. NT misses a dropkick and is stomped on. NT running dropkicks KA down. KA slams her then running boots her in the face for 2. KA boots her in the face then shoulders her over for 2. 

NT hits chest forearms and KA forearms her down. NT crossbodies her for 2. NT corner ropkicks her then bulldogs her for 2. NT misses a move off the buckles and KA facekicks her. NT dragon sleepers her and rolls her face first into the mat. NT walks up the buckles and twisting crossbodies her. KA low dropkicks her.

KA facekicks her then cutters her for 2. KA backdrops hr and NT crucifixes her for 2. NT runs at her and KA facekicks her down. KA has her on her shoulder and twisting drops her into a cutter. KA pins her.

Thoughts: It was short but it was one of Kouki's better matches...and it's mostly due to Nagisa. Nagisa sold, was a decent underdog and her offense looked fine. She did everything she was supposed to and that with the short length, they were able to hide Kouki's limitations here. It wasn't bad.

DREAM STAR Grand Prix 2026 Block A Match - Miku Aono vs. Aleah James

AJ rolls her up for 2 to start then does a bridge pin. AJ la magistral's her for 2. AJ hits leg kicks. MA slams AJ and kicks her in the back twice. AJ then kicks her in the back and chest for 2. AJ hits leg kicks and high back kicks her.

AJ fisherman suplexes her for 2. AJ 2nd rope crossbodies her for 2. MA throws her and sliding lariats her for 2. MA kneebreakers her. MA ties up one leg and crabs the other. AJ ropebreaks. MA fisherman suplexes her for 2. MA goes up and top and takes a flying double knee. AJ sentons her back for 2. 

AJ top rope crossbodies her for 2. AJ high kicks her then MA high kicks her. MA lariats her down for 2. AJ crucifixes her for 2. AJ flying shoulders her and they trade forearms.  MA leg kicks her. MA double underhook suplexes her. MA buzzsw kicks her for 2. MA tiger drivers her and pins her.

Thoughts: It was an okay bout. They kept the pace up and there was a decent bit of action. Aleah brought some energy to this and definitely tried here. Mikue was god enough to handle it all too.

Diana Strong, Natsumi Showzuki and Megaton vs. Mayu Iwatani, Victoria Yuzuki and Komomo Minami

Who put this together and why?

Mega tries to get a chant going and ducks Yuz's lock up. Yuz boots her in the gut. Mega like tries to make her dance with her or something. Yuz then back elbows her. Yuz stomps her and basement dropkicks her. 

Mega is tripped then takes double stomps. Mega avoids a triple basement dropkick. Mega's team then does the stair stepper on their opponents. Nat comes in and running knees KM. Nat then armbars her and KM ropebreaks.

Nat knee chokes her on the ropes. KM running dropkicks her. Mayu running dropkicks Nat then spin kicks her in the gut. Mayu rolls her into a basement dropkick. Nat step up enzugiri's Mayu. DS comes in and pumping knees Mayu.

DA puts Mayu and KM on her shoulders and samoan drops both.  She then gets a 2 count on Mayu. Mayu flying forearms DS then dropkicks her against the bottom rope. Yuz dropkicks Ds against the bottom rope. DS is then tripped into the ropes for a dropkick. Yuz backdrops DS for 2.

DS hits short arm lariats on Yuz. DS backdrops her for 2. Mega comes in. She hits splashes on Yuz for 2. Mega shotei's Yuz then Yuz low dropkicks her in the face. Mega takes a double pumping knee and a double bulldog. KM low flying double knees Mega from behind for 2. 

KM puts her hands in Mega's face and gets her facepaint on her. Mega splashes KM against the ropes and elbow drops her. Mega goes for a splash and KM rolls her up for 2. Mega shotei's KM. Nat suplexes KM and Mega bottom rope splashes KM for 2. 

All the girls go out and Mega bottom tries to roll on them from the apron. Mayu then topes everyone outside. Mega takes superkicks to the head for 2. Mega rolls up KM for 2 counts. Mayu top rope splashes Mega. KM 2nd rope twisting crossbodies Mega. KM and Yuz top rope double stomp Mega from opposite corners and KM pins Mega.

Thoughts: It was acceptable but just not a main event quality match. I'm not real sure why Mega was in this one. She did her usual comedy. The other girls had to work around that. 

Komomo and Yuzuki talk on the mic after.

We can't hear the post-match comments well due to entrance music playing too loudly, so I won't be covering them.

Overall thoughts: Chika/Shinno sucked. Mai/Hummingbird was acceptable but I was hoping for something better from them. CHIAKI's tag went way too long. Misa/Yuuka was average and it should have been better. Tachibana/Kouki worked out okay. Miku/Aleah was okay and the main was fine...but why Megaton was in the main is unknown. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 as it was average overall.
