Note - This is the first MLW on Tubi show. This was only announced earlier in the day and you could not even find the link to this until about 8:01PM.

We are in New York City, NY. Joe Dombrowski and Tom Lawlor are on commentary.

Austin Aries talks in the ring before his match. He says he's the greatest wrestler in MLW and the greatest wrestler in the business. He says he will win the The Opera Cup so there's no confusion to who he is.

Opera Cup First Round - Austin Aries vs Tracy Williams

They lock up. TW backs him up in the corner. AA side headlocks him then armdrags him. TW headscissors him, AA handstands out and dropkicks him. TW side headlocks him and armdrags him into an armlock. 

TW side headlocks him and shoulders him over. AA leapfrogs and is rolled up for 2. TW chops him down. They knee each other in the gut and TW does a backdrop variation on him. AA ear claps him from the 2nd rope and elbow drops him from the 2nd rope. AA knee drops him in the face. 

AA running back elbows him and rakes his eyes with his feet. AA 2nd rope flying elbows him in the back of the neck. TW boots him in the chest and AA kneebreakers him into an elbow drop. AA pendulum elbow drops him.

TW pump kicks him then corner lariats him a few times. TW 2nd rope underhook suplexes him for 2. AA back elbows him and rolls him up for 2. AA then does an indian deathlock without the legs tied up and TW ropebreaks.

TW ddt drops him on the top buckle. TW stf's him. AA bites him to escape. AA back body drops him out. AA neckbreakers him over the 2nd rope. AA flying dropkicks him in the corner then brainbusters him for the win.

Thoughts: Aries won as expected. It was the usual more technically focused Tracy match. What we got was acceptable just nothing too special or memorable. Aries was the heavy favorite here.

The Good Brothers are in Sri Lanka. Doc says they are taking the MLW Tag Titles all over the world and are 10x champs. Doc says the titles are defended worldwide. Karl says the fans are chanting too sweet. Doc tells his son CJ Gallows to keep pumping in the gym as he will be making his debut in 2 weeks.  

Opera Cup First Round - Oddyssey vs Okumura

This is Oddyssey's MLW debut. He has short hair now.

Oku kicks away a handshake then Odd shoves him down off the lock up. Oku side headlocks him. They shoulderblock battle. Oku hits chops on Odd and eye rakes him. Oku spin kicks him in the leg and Odd shoulders him over. 

Odd misses a corner move. They hit each other in the gut. Oku eye rakes him then cutters him. Oku sentons him for 2.  Oku boots him in the face then Odd lariats him down. Odd splashes Oku.

Odd 2nd rope splashes Oku and pins him.

Thoughts: The match was too short to be anything but a squash really. Odd had a good showing here. He has definitely lost a bunch of weight and he looked like a giant vs Oku. He was flying around here and looking real agile. 

Rich Bocchini interviews Oddyssey Jones after. Odd says he's a world traveller. He says he's feeling G-O-O-D and says The Opera Cup is coming home with him.

Rich interviews Shotzi. Rina and Saya Kamitani of Stardom interrupt. Rina tries to whip Rich and Shotzi asks who she thinks she is. Saya says Shotzi has a rich little name. She says Shotzi wants to summon monsters and HATE came for her. Saya says the MLW champ doesn't rule this place, she does. Saya tells Rina to discipline Shotzi. Rina then whips Shotzi with her belt and wraps it around her mouth. Rina grabs her by the hair and says, "next challenger".

We get a Don Gato commercial.

Killer Kross is on the phone in the back. He is trying to call Josh Bishop. Kross says his neck hurts from getting chokeslammed 50 times. He says MLW has an idea to have rivals teams up and fight. He says him and Josh would fight Austin Aries and Mistico. Kross says MLW wants the chaos and wants everyone to beat the crap out of each other. Kross asks him if he wants to be his partner. Josh says he'd love to. He tells Kross to look pretty on the apron and give him a table when he wants it. He says let's then light these guys on fire. Kross says it's not a No DQ match and says they will go to jail. Josh says let's light 'em up and choose violence. Kross says it's a yes and says Josh is f*cked. He says if Josh gets them DQ'd, they will lose. Scarlett tells him just to go with it. 

MLW Opera Cup First Round - Trevor Lee vs Mistico

Mist side headlocks him and rolls over him. Mist springboard twisting crossbodies him. Lee atomic drops him then hurricanrana's him out. Mist's head is banged off the buckles and Lee top rope crossbodies him. They sweep each other and stand off.

Mist spin kicks him in the gut. Lee drops him throat first on the top rope. Lee running lariats him and sliding D's him for 2. Lee hits chops and chest kicks in the corner. Lee release suplexes him for 2. Lee chops him down and Mist flying headscissors him.

Lee backbreakers him for 2. Lee abdominal stretches him while tying up the legs. Lee stomps and knee drops Mist for 2. Lee foot chokes him. We go to break and return. Lee hits forearms. 

Mist springboard back elbows him. Mist springboard crossbodies him. Mist walks up the buckles then corkscrew diving armdrags him out. Mist topes him into the rails. Someone comes out in a Mistico mask. It's Austin Aries but Tom Lawlor thinks it's Mistico Jr. 

They corner lariat each other then high kick each other down at the same time. They trade forearms. Mist calls for a timeout, distracts him and spin kicks in the gut. Lee high kicks him down. Mist hurricanrana's him off a powerbomb attempt for 2. Mist legdrops him. 

Lee is supposed to get his feet up on Mist's top rope moonsault but Mist misses. Mist powerslams him for 2. Mist step up enzugiri's him in the corner. Mist superkicks him.  Lee germans him into the buckles and germans him on the mat.

Lee is on the buckles and takes enzugiri's. Mist top rope spanish flies him. Aries pull the ref out on the count. Mist tries to slingshot plancha Aries but nails the ref. Aries sweeps Lee on the apron. Mist takes his mask off of Aries. Aries low blows him and brainbusters him on the floor. Mistico then ends up getting counted out when he can't get back into the ring in time.

Thoughts: It was a longer match. It wasn't as good as it should have been. It's not like it was bad but the flow wasn't really there and the finish hurt it a little. It was just average.

Aries gets on the mic after. He say it looks like Mistico won't win The Opera Cup this year. He says it looks like there's only one man for the job and it's him.

Overall thoughts: Aries/Tracy was acceptable. Oddyssey basically won a squash but looked very agile for his size. Trevor/Mistico was long and didn't really have the right flow to it. I thought it was average. The Kross/Bishop phone call/angle was something different and Rina and Kamitani from Stardom popped in. The show wasn't bad and it was acceptable overall. I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
