Fraxiom (Axiom and Nathan Frazer) vs Laredo Kid and Aero Star

NF wristlocks Kid. Kid rolls and headflips out then wristlocks him. NF does the same and they sweep each other. They headflip up together and stand off. They shake hands and Kid tries to boot him. NF enzugiri's him. Kid takes a short ddt. Ax is lifted into a flying kick on Star. 

Ax enzugiri's Kid out of the corner. Kid superkicks him for 2. Kid pulls on Ax's mask and drops him with a shot. Star forearms Ax then bangs his head off the buckles. Star flying corner lariats him. Kid slaps Ax.

Kid flying forearms Ax. Ax is held in the air for a springboard 2nd rope outside to in codebreaker for 2. Kid hits mounted punches on Ax. Ax goes up and over and tags in. NF comes in and hits flying forearms on Kid. Ax goes up and over and does headflips. Ax slingblades Kid.

NF top rope frogsplashes Kid for 2. Kid shotei's NF. Kid michinoku drivers Ax. Kid stands on the 2nd rope, Star stands on his shoulders and splashes Ax for 2. NF springboards onto Star to break the pin attempt up. Kid and NF are thrown out. Ax top rope spanish flies Star. NF tope con hilos Kid outside. Ax golden ratio kicks Star and pins him.

Thoughts: The luchadores didn't get to fly all that much which was disappointing. We got an acceptable bout though and they kept it moving an interesting. It was far from as good as it could have been though.

The LWO (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro) vs The Wagner Brothers (Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr and Galeno)

Cruz side headlocks Gal. Cruz spin kicks him in the gut. Gal flying shoulders Cruz and poses. Cruz takes a double back elbow and Gal flips Doc onto Cruz. 

Doc hits JW from behind and tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him. Doc boots JW off the ropes. Cruz slingshot stomps Doc. JW is hiptossed into the ropes and he splashes Doc off of it for 2. Cruz boots Doc in the gut then dropkicks him in the back of the neck.

Cruz bottom rope springboard moonsaults him for 2. Cruz chinlocks him. Doc backdrops Cruz then enzugiri's him. Gal tags in and shoulders Cruz over. He then shoulders JW over. Gal corner splashes Cruz and slams JW. Gal hits a big splash on JW for 2. 

Gal double lariats JW and Cruz over the top. Doc cannonballs them outside from the apron. Gal reverse suplexes JW. Doc gets on Gal's shoulders and splashes JW. Doc then pins JW.

Thoughts: Big loss here for The LWO. It's not often main roster guys lose to people from a non-main roster brand but it happened. They put over Galeno a bit, which made sense. Doc was a little better as part of a team here. The announcers slightly hinted at The LWO having issues and that angle has been slowly pushed for a bit now. This was fine.

Big Cass vs Josh Briggs

This is Josh's first TV match in months.

Cass runs at him and clubs him. They shoulder battle. Cass boots him down. JB shoulders him and clubs him. Cass knees him in the gut and clubs him. They repeat the spot. Cass hits more back clubs then JB clubs his back. 

They grab each other by the throat then hit each other at the same time. They facekick each other at the same time and Cass lariats him over the top. JB hits a big punch. JB tries to get in and Cass kicks the middle rope into his crotch. 

Cass lariats him then hits mounted shots. Cass hits elbow drops for 2. Cass misses an elbow drop. JB hits forearms. JB hits hard lariats and running back elbows him in the corner. Cass then running corner splashes him. JB running facekicks him for 2. Cass black hole slams him and pins him.

Thoughts: The match got no reaction at all which was a shame. It was a pure hoss vs hoss match here. They definitely busted some of the back clubs straight out of a 1980's John Studd match. They did a lot of mirror wrestling here where they would both do the same things. They had the right idea, just it was the wrong audience. I feel like these two probably hit each other a lot harder than we really saw. It was something different and not bad.

Overall thoughts: The opener was acceptable but not either team's best work. The Wagner Brothers upset The LWO in an alright match. Big Cass vs Josh Briggs was the battle of the giants and something we don't normally see much of these days in wrestling. That was also a decent bout. I thought it was a fun show with some unique matches. There's nothing must see, but there were some different flavors here than usual and that's the kind of stuff that makes Main Event special. This was show was okay overall.
