WWE LFG 9/6/2026 Season 3, Episode 23

Note - WWE fired a bunch of LFG wrestlers before this show aired. Zena Sterling, PJ Vasa and Braxton Cole were cut. The cuts were surprising considering how hyped up some of these wrestlers were on this show. The lesson to me has been just to keep in mind that guest coaches like Booker T, Natalya, Bubba Ray and Kevin Owens have no real say in what goes on and their opinions don't really seem to matter all that much to the WWE heads. And that's a shame because I know Natalya, Booker and Bubba know what they are doing.

Matt Bloom, Bubba Ray Dudley, Booker T and Kevin Owens talk. Bloom says we have 3 more WWE World spots to fill. Bubba has Romeo Moreno vs Harley Riggins. Bloom says Shawn Michaels was happy with Romeo's recent match and says Harley is getting too goofy and Shawn doesn't like it. Booker has Dorian Van Dux vs Kam Hendrix. Bloom says Kam is doing the right things and Shawn is noticing Kam. Booker says the clock is ticking on Kam. Bloom says he sees tons of potential in Kam. Kevin Owens has Tristan Angels and Myka Lockwood vs Tate Wilder and Kali Armstrong. Bloom says he's excited to see what they can do. Bloom says Kali is the diamond of this season and Myka wants the spot. Bloom says the fans don't see a mixed tag much and calls it a gimmick match. Booker refuses to do the "hands in" cheer like usual.

Romeo Moreno says getting to Mania is his dream. Harley says he was concerned when Jax Presley got hut that they would have nothing for him.

Romeo asks Bubba what he wants to see. Bubba tells him he wants him to get over. He says heat, sell and blow a comeback. He says he wants Harley to take Romeo's head off and he wants to see Romeo work from underneath. Harley says Bubba wants him to be tough and a bad@ss with no goofy stuff.

Romeo Moreno vs Harley Riggins

We are at the Evolve Arena for this.

Romeo rolls into an HR facekick. HR uppercuts him and chops him. HR corner spears him and dumps him over his shoulder. HR basement dropkicks him in the side of the head for 2. RM hits forearms and HR hits him in the throat. HR tilt-a-whirl slams him and 2nd rope twisting swantons him for 2.

Bubba says, "there's something to Harley". Booker says, "I wish I had 4-5 of those guys in ROW". HR chops RM. RM back elbows him and boots him in the face. RM rolls into a dropkick on him. 

RM hits chops and hits flying lariats. RM enzugiri's him in the corner. RM springboard dropkicks him twice. RM goes up top and music hits. Jax Presley returns. Jax hits the top rope while the ref tells him to get off the apron. RM is crotched and HR top rope superplexes him. HR pins him.

Thoughts: It wasn't anything too special. Jax returned which was cool. They didn't get a ton of time and Romeo didn't really impress me as usual.

HR and Jax hug in the ring after and HR raises his hand.

Bubba talks to Harley and Romeo after. Romeo says he was happy with the match. Harley says he had a good time and says Romeo is very communicative out there. Bubba says they did a good job. He says Romeo did a better job of selling and showed his face more. 

Harley thanks Jax for helping him out there. Jax says he was told at 2PM to get here. He says he's just been watching film for a few weeks. Bloom rips Jax for not tanning. Bloom says the pacing wasn't there. Romeo says he wants to get a good connection going with everyone and says he and Harley can get some good things going.

Booker T works with Kam Hendrix and Dorian Van Dux on their match. Booker says Kam has too many ideas but he sees the light bulb about to go off. Kam says this is his last chance after 3 seasons on NXT. Booker says Van Dux is picking things up quick. Dux says Booker is so cool and he's happy to get advice from him.

Dorian Van Dux vs Kam Hendrix

Kam hits Dux's arm and wristlocks him. Dux jumps up to the top rope, seated springboard and flips. Dux armdrags him and springboard dropkicks him. Dux dropkicks him through the ropes. Dux jumps up to the 2nd rope and Kam drops him body first on the top rope. Kam flying forearms him. 

Dux boots him out of the corner. Kam does a cobra twist. Dux rolls him up for 2 and corkscrew kicks him. Dux lariats him over the top and goes with him. Dux is sent into the steps. Dux hits punches and Kam superkicks him in the gut.

They trade more shots and double crossbody each other. Dux 2nd rope twisting crossbodies Kam then flying shoulders him. Dux corner splashes him. Dux running lariats Kam for 2. Dux top rope moonsaults and Kam kicks him in mid-air. Dux has a bad landing and Booker gets scared on the monitor in the back. Kam backdrop uranage's him and pins him.

Thoughts: What we got was alright enough. They put out a decent effort. Just it was a shorter, cold bout and there's only so much you can do with that. Dux definitely did have a bit of a close call on his landing.

Booker T talks to Kam and Dux. He says this was Kam's coming out party. He says it was his best showing. Booker says Dux is a good listener and says the best listeners are the best workers. Booker says he thought they were successful. Kam says he thought he took the feedback from the coaches into the match.

Bloom talks to Kam and Dux. He complains about Dux's selling. Bloom says if Dux can't sell, he won't get on TV (Boy do I wish that was true). Bloom says Dux is great athletically but if he can't sell, he does nothing for Kam. Bloom wants Dux to focus on the selling and storytelling. Dux says Bloom wants the best for him. Bloom then tells Kam he's proud of him and says Shawn is noticing him a lot lately. Bloom says Kam has been selected for Vegas. Kam is happy.

Tate Wilder says he's teaming with Kali Armstrong tonight and it'll be a show with her. Kali says her and Tate are similar. Myka Lockwood says the match was Tristan's idea. Tristan Angels says his back is hurt from carrying Season 3 of LFG. Trist says he's called a lunatic but says you have to be if you are a wrestler.

Owens talks to those 4. He says the match is out of the ordinary and needs to be fun. Owens says these matches are tough as the women and men can't wrestle. He says the women get away with hitting the men though. Owens says Myka and Kali to do some hoss spots. 

Tate says pressure is a privilege. Tristan says they hyped  this up so it's on him to make this special.

Tristan Angels and Myka Lockwood vs Tate Wilder and Kali Armstrong

We are at the NXT Arena for this. 

TA gets on Myka's shoulders on his way to the ring. 

Myka and Kali go at it. Myka takes her down and wristlocks her. Kali rolls and kips up to escape. Kali side headlocks her. Myka shoulders Kali over and does her dance. Kali hurricanrana's Myka for 1. Myka does an unusual bridge to get up that looks impressive.

TA tags in and blocks Kali's tag. Tate pushes TA over Kali then flying shoulders him. Tate backdrops TA then asai moonsaults him. TA double throat thrusts him. Tate hits a nice dropkick to send him out. Tate goes for a dive but Myka blocks him. TA almost nails Myka when Tate moves. Myka forearms Tate then TA tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Tate for 2.

TA catapults Tate over the top rope. Myka slams Tate on the floor. TA camel clutches Tate. TA backdrops Tate. Myka rocket launches TA but TA misses the splash. The girls come in. Kali lariats Myka and they double clothesline each other. They trade shots. Kali powerslams her. Kali hits punches.

Kali corner spears Myka and spinebusters her for 2. Tate and Kali dosey do and push the heels into each other. Myka saves TA from falling over and Kali springboard double crossbodies them. Tate top rope moonsaults TA and throws him out. Myka grabs Tate by the throat. Kali running shoulders Myka and Myka flips for the sell. Kali pins Myka.

Thoughts: It was a fun tag as expected. Tristan and Myka have had an LFG specific storyline all year and it paid off here with them finally getting to team up. We had some nice highspots here and everyone looked good. Tate and Kali were more of a fun team that I expected they would be.

Tate says that's how you finish LFG Season 3. Shawn Michaels puts over the match and says it was awesome. We see Shawn go crazy for Myka's sell at the end. Bloom says the match was awesome. Owens says it rocked. Owens says it was his favorite match of the season.

Tristan calls it true love but Myka isn't buying it. Owens tells Tristan the match was great and says he killed it. Tristan says the love story with Myka is too good not to be brought back down the line. Shawn tells Kali she has been doing a fantastic job and invites her to wrestle at WWE World. 

Overall thoughts: Moreno/Riggins was nothing too special but Jax Presley returned during it. Kam/Dux was alright enough. The main was a lot of fun as expected and one of the better matches of the season. It was a nice pay off to the Tristan/Myka story that has been exclusive to LFG. It was an okay show and followed the usual format for this show this season.
