We are in the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Vic Joseph and Booker T are on commentary.

Kali Armstrong vs Lizzy Rain

KA slams her to start. KA hiptosses her and slams her again. Rain springboard back elbows her and fisherman suplexes her for 2. Rain elbows KA's arm then kimura rolls her for 1. Rain la magistral's her for 2. 

KA hits her in the gut. Rain spinning heel kicks her for 2. Rain chops her and is thrown hard into the buckles. KA corner spears her. She tries it again and goes into the posst. Rain dropkicks her through the ropes. 

We go to PiP break and return. Rain upkicks her. KA standing blue thunders her then spinebusters her for 2. They trade shots. Rain backslides her. KA hits punches. Rain high kicks her and exploders her. Rain hits chops in the corner. Rain cutters her for 2. 

Rain hurricanrana's her down from the 2nd rope. Kali powerslams her. Rain flying headbutts her in the chest. Kali flying shoulderblocks her and pins her.

Thoughts: I liked it. Rain has some weird offense that doesn't always work but they found they groove here and got a good flow going. The crowd got int this and it went way better than it should have. This was okay.

Skylar Rae jumps Kali for some reason in the ring. Officials hold her back. 

Sean Legacy asks Dorian Van Dux if he heard anything about a tag announcement. Dux says he's ready for whatever it is. Birthright come in and say they want the tag titles. They say they will do what they did to Zilla to whoever steps in their way. Sean says they want tag gold as much as them but they have a match. Dux gets up in Birthright's face. 

Cruz Montana talks to Robert Stone. Cruz says he got caught lagging and his title dreams went away. EK Prosper comes in and takes the blame for last week's loss. Cruz puts him over. The Vanity Project come in and ask about Stone's announcement about the tag division. Smokes makes a comment at EK. Cruz says he will slap The Project and says Myka is the toughest person in their group. Cruz says him and EK should fight The Project. Stone agrees.

Darkstate (Cutler James and Osiris Griffin) vs Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux

CJ overhead belly to belly suplexes Sean then short arm lariats him. Booker says Sean and Dux should be called "The Remote Controls". It's odd Booker said this since he booked a team called The Remote Controls in ROW.

Sean books CJ out of the corner and step up enzugiri's him there. Sean dropkicks CJ. CJ spears him and takes a basement dropkick. Sean armdrags and standing shiranui's CJ. OG double lariats the faces from behind. 

OG slams Sean. Dux hits shots on OG and knocks him down for 2. Dux running lariats OG. OG takes kicks from the faces and takes a double backdrop. Sean PK's OG and OG takes a double standing moonsault.

OG double suplexes the faces. The heels are sent out together. Sean is caught on a dive and CJ suplexes Dux on a tope. Sean is slammed on the floor. We got to PiP break and return.  

Sean superkicks CJ outside and sends OG into the commentary table top. Dux top rope dropicks CJ then enzugiri's him. Dux 2nd rope twisting springboard crossbodies CJ. Dux double jump diving cutters the heels. 

CJ throws Dux off the buckles. Dux 2nd rope moonsaults the heels. Sean topes CJ outside then he topes OG. He then topes them more times and Dux asai moonsaults out. Dux top rope ssp's OG for 2. The faces then do more dives outside. 

Dion Lennox then lariats Dux down outside. Sean is booted off the apron into the rails. Dux is thrown up by both opponents and spun into a powerbomb. He is then pinned.

Thoughts: It was a workrate match here with the faces going wild and doing endless dives. Dux looked like he was hurting from a tope that turned into a suplex on the floor and Sean took a bad landing or two here. I didn't like this one that much.

Birthright run down. Lexis King asks Booker about his boy Zilla. Uriah Connors says Zilla wants to act like the toughest guy in NXT until they put him on notice. Dempsey says they will keep putting people on notice until they get the attention they deserve. Birthright then jump Sean and Dux. Zilla Fatu comes out to help the faces. The faces get the edge, throw the heels out and Fatu flying samoan spikes Dempsey. 

Mason Rook says last week was the biggest win of his career. He says tonight is about a kid from England being one shot away from an NXT Title match. He says he loves proving people wrong and says he had to learn people to be tough. He talks about being in NOAH and hurting his ankle. He says he then passed a WWE tryout and earned his contract. He says he's in the NXT Title picture and will walk out the new #1 Contender. 

Robert Stone talks to Skylar Raye. Sky says she's been waiting for an opportunity here and that's why she did what she did. Myles Borne comes in and asks if he has time to go apologize out there to fix this. Stone says he has all the time he needs.

Zaria is being checked on by the doc. The doc clears her and she says she's fine. Izzi Dame comes in and asks how Zaria got injured by Thea Hail. Izzi asks if people are born wicked or if wickedness is thrust upon them.

Myles Borne is in the ring and asks Tavion Heights to come out so he can apologize to him. Tavion Heights comes out. MB says he appreciates him coming out. Tav says they have been through a lot and says MB crossed the line. MB says he jumped the gun. MB says he was paranoid and just needs to him to see where he's coming from. 

Tav says MB used to say friendships don't last in NXT but now he wants him to trust him. Tav says he lost his title and didn't have his brother or best friend, he had no one. Tav says he can't just forget that. He says the time might have passed. MB says he was in the same shoes as him after The Great American Bash. Tav says MB attacked him and says it was different.

MB says he forgive him before and they won the tag titles. He says when they are together, no one can stop them or take away the good memories. MB asks himself what he was thinking. MB says he's not proud of what he did and asks him to do the same and put this behind them. MB says they need to learn how to do this together and not let success take over their friendship.

MB says he loves him like a brother and is sorry. Tav says he forgives him and says let's get things rolling again. Tav says MB is his dog for life. They hug. MB then zig zag's him and hits mounted shots on him. MB throws him out and Booker says, "a sucker is born every minute". MB throws Tav into the rails.

MB grabs a chair and pillmanizes Tav's ankle. Officials then check on Tav.

Thoughts: See this is one of the things I don't like about wrestling. I think they could have played with this angle for weeks and had a lot of fun pretending they'd turn on each other and so forth. I think people would have gotten into it and cared. Instead, they had to do the usual wrestling turn and now they will feud and blah blah blah.

Kendal Grey is at a doctor's office with Wren. She says she's fine. The doc says she's had trauma and it's affecting her head, ear and taking her off balance. The doc say it can cause dizziness. KG wants a timeline but the doctor says there isn't one right now. She says she took multiple hits and it delayed her recovery time. She says KG won't be cleared and she wants a sports psychologist for her mental health.

Cruz Montana and EK Prosper vs The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes)

Brad waistlock takedowns EK then he front facelocks him. Brad shoulders him over and gyrates. EK then trips him and gyrates. EK dropkicks him then struts. Brad back elbow him. EK flips off the buckles and dropkicks him for 2. 

RS tries shoulderblocks on Cruz. Cruz hits corner chops. RS goes up and over and Cruz backrolls into a cutter on him. EK slams RS then Cruz flips off of EK's back onto RS. 

Brad is rolled into and overhead german from EK. Brad goes out. EK double dropkicks the heels out. We go to PiP break and return.

Cruz takes a dropkick + spinebuster combo. He then gets it again. Cruz superkicks RS then death valley drivers him while he's in the air. EK comes in and cleans house. He lariats RS over the top and superkicks Brad. EK asai moonsaults Brad. EK basement dropkicks RS from the apron and top rope diving blockbusters Brad for 2.

Brad shotgun dropkicks EK and flying pumping knees EK. RS slingshot spears EK for 2. EK leg lariats RS. EK is popped up top and he hurricanrana's RS down for 2. EK and Cruz do stereo dives out. Jackson Drake dropkicks Cruz outside. The ref ejects Drake and Myka. EK high kicks RS. RS backslides EK and Brad holds EK's feet. RS pins EK.

Thoughts: I liked it. It was a quick moving tag. They didn't go as far as the Van Dux tag did. It was better than I expected but I don't think Cruz losing tag matches like this is good for him.

Saquon Shugars is interviewed. He talks about the history he has with Tony D'Angelo. He says Rook can learn that he's up never while SS is up next. Tristan Angels comes in. He says SS can't even get dressed properly. TA says he's championship material and the others are below. SS says he's outside the club tells him to go watch him win the title match tonight. SS says he's up next and TA is up never.

Kelani Jordan comes out to talk. She says she set a new standard when she won the NXT Title on her first try. She says she doesn't to post pictures or her @ss on Instagram. She says she puts her money where her mouth is. She then brings up Wren and talks about how she debuted on Raw. KJ says to get used to seeing the title on her shoulder as it's not going anywhere. She says no one does it like her.

La Catalina of AAA comes out. She congratulates her and says it's hard to rise to the top. She says she won the Reina de Reina's Title at AAA and is here to take women's wrestling to the next level.

Zaria comes out. She says she better be in the conversation about dominant champs. She says she doesn't see either of them unifying titles. Cat mentions Thea. Zaria says it was a fluke. They argue.

Thea Hail comes out and says it's about time someone talked about her. She says she can hand with anyone and the fans know it. She says she's the youngest in the ring but she's finding her footing. She says she has proved she is championship material as she tapped out the Women's North American champ and just need to do it in a match now. Zaria hits Thea and all 4 girls fight. Thea and Cat hit hip attacks on the heels on the ropes. Thea and Cat then do Thea's dance.

Tony D'Angelo does a video. He says people don't change and carry their past with them. Tony says Saquon is on his own and is still the little brat. He says Rook screwed up the first day on the job trying to take him out. He says they don't change and he doesn't either. He says he's still the toughest SOB in NXT and the once and future NXT champ.

We see Grayson Waller running on a treadmill for the 3rd time. He was shown twice earlier but I didn't mention it.

Shiloh Hill does a video. He says Naraku and his HOA are making threats about his mist experiments. He's in a lab and is studying the mist. He is testing the different kind of mists. He then sprays himself with a version of the mist without acidity. We then see him talking to raccoons and he isn't aware of it.

Robert Stone is interviewed. He says he wanted to enhance the tag division. he says he's bringing back The Dusty Rhodes Tag team Classic. He says there will be 14 teams from AAA, Evolve, Raw, NXT and SD. He says it starts next week. The Creed Brothers come in. Julius is happy and Brutus asks who they got. Stone says they need to wait and see the brackets. Julius says there will only be one team who are two-time winners and it's them.

#1 Contender's Match - Tony D'Angelo vs Saquon Shugars vs Mason Rook

The three argue. SS takes shorts from both and is double lariated over the top. TD backrolls Rook for 2 then spears him. TD topes Rook outside. SS hurricanrana's TD and hits mounted shots. SS neckbreakers TD. 

Rook shoulders SS over. Rook powerslams both opponents, slams SS onto TD and sentons both for 2. SS dropkicks Rook in the corner. TD germans SS. TD germans Rook while Rook release germans SS.

Rook drops TD chest first on the mat. We get a 3 person tower of doom spot with TD powerboming them down. Grayson Waller stops running on the treadmill in the back. We go to PiP break and return.

Rook gets a 2 count on Tony. Rook takes shots from both opponents. SS sunset flips Rook, making him backdrop Tony in the process. SS short arm lariats Tony. TD is thrown out and SS dropkicks TD through the ropes. TD slingshot legdrops Rook for 2.

SS dropkicks Rook. Rook corner splashes SS. Rook forearms TD and TD rolls him up for 2. TD jackhammers Rook for 2. SS tries to pin Tony with his feet on the ropes and is caught. SS enzugiri's TD. TD overhead belly to belly suplexes SS into the buckles.

TD overhead belly to belly suplexes SS into a sitout bomb from Rook. Rook and TD trade shots. TD jumping knees him then lariats him over the top. TD goes with him on the landing. SS double stomps Rook while Tony holds him and Rook falls down on Tony. Rook corner cannonballs TD and SS 2nd rope diving tornado ddt's Rook. SS top rope splashes TD but Tristan Angels pulls the ref out. SS slingshot plancha's Tristan and they fight outside. 

TD pops up Rook but his back gives out. Rook standing blue thunders TD. Rook top rope splashes TD and spins him.

Thoughts: This was Rook's biggest win so far and it was an upset. The first half went well but the second half wasn't as good as I'd say it was just average. Saquon got launched on the double german spot and Rook held up pretty well.

Grayson Waller runs down and holds his title up at Rook.  

Overall thoughts: I liked the opener and it beat my expectations. I didn't like the Darkstate tag. Borne had to do the lame turn on Tavion like always. The Vanity Project's match was fine. Shiloh Hill's video where he talked to raccoons was something original. The main was average. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 as it was okay enough.
