Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Mayhem 9/16/2026

We are in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Don Callis and Mauro Ranallo are our hosts. 

Steve Maclin vs Rhino

SM hits Rhino while he's on the ramp coming out. Rhino's head is banged off the apron edge and off the steps. Rhino hits punches in the corner and hits a corner spear. SM then sprays him in the eye with pepper spray. 

Refs comes to check on Rhino. Rhino wants the match to continue even though he can't see. Rhino swings at him and hits him. Rhino hits short arm lariats. SM pulls the ref into Rhino. SM then low blows Rhino and the ref rings the bell again, seemingly DQ'ing SM.

Thoughts: It was short and shenanigans from the start. I didn't like Rhino still getting offense in while supposedly blinded.

SM hits mounted shots on Rhino. SM punches the ref out and hits Rhino in the gut with the chair edge. SM stands on Rhino's head while he's laying on a chair. SM then conchairto's him. They then bring the stretcher out for Rhino. SM then sends one of the doc's into the steps. 

Steve is then escorted out of the building. He says he'll see Adam Copeland on October 3rd.

The hosts then talk. 

Rohan Raja vs Capitan Suicida

Aurora Teves is with Raja.

RR wristlocks him. CS headflips out and armdrags him. RR rolls him over for 1 then side headlocks him. RR shoulders him over. Cap flying headscissors him then tope con hilo's him outside. 

Cap goes up top and is crotched. RR dropkicks him there. We go to break and return. Cap spin kicks him in the gut and rolls into a cutter on him. Cap top rope swantons him for 2. Cap superkicks him and RR black hole slams him for 2. Cap superkicks him. 

Cap gets distracted by Teves and RR flying knees him from behind. RR jumping flatliners him and pins him.

Thoughts: What we got was alright here. They did work pretty well together and it's too bad there had to be heel shenanigans. It's also too bad it didn't get a ton of time. I would have liked to have seen what this developed into.

RR hits mounted shots on Cap after. RR then pulls Cap's mask off. RR then holds the mask up. RR says Andrade El Idolo is nothing and says this is his category. He then says, "How you know, b!tch?".

Crazzy Steve talks to Psycho Mike in psych ward hallway. He says he's been trying to tell him what to do but maybe Mike isn't listening. He says Mike needs to learn and says no more whispering as he grabs him. Mike then grabs him and says, "I am listening". He says he will be what he wants him to be.

Priscilla Kelly says this is more than just a moment. She says winning the MLP Women's Title is the cherry on top of everything she has done. She says she's not just hard working and you can't top the experience in her brain. She says walking into MLP Rising as the Women's champ...words can't describe it.

Bryce Hansen vs London Lightning

Hansen has his First Faction stablemates with him. Hansen side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Hansen armdrags him then dumps him over the top. Hansen then topes him outside. Dan Maff then comes out and lariats Hansen and London.

Thoughts: We didn't get much of this before Maff interfered.

MAff burning hammers Hansen. Psycho Mike then comes out with Crazzy Steve. Mike hits Maff with the kendo stick then knocks him off the apron. Crazzy Steve then hits Mike with the kendo stick from behind and puts his fingers in his eyes. Steve then hits him with the kendo stick again.

Evil Uno and Stu Grayson are outside Josh Alexander's door. Stu bangs on it. Someone comes out and says Josh heard Stu's message in the ring loud and clear and all further discussion will take place in the ring. 

I will not be covering the main. Priscilla Kelley won the title. I didn't think the title change was built to and the title change is a bit suspicious since Scott D'Amore, the booker, just broke up with Shaw.

Overall thoughts: I didn't see all of this, but what I did see was nothing special. They really went over the top to try and get Steve Maclin some heel heat and Raja was similarly allowed to get some big heat in his match. The three matches I saw were all short, one-sided and 2 of them had non-finishes. I didn't really like what I saw all that much and thought it was below average. I'd give it a 4 out of 10.
