Marigold 9/13/2026 Dream Star Grand Prix 2026 Day 7

Note - Smidt/Nozaki and Chi Chi/Shoko Koshino were both scheduled for this one but didn't happen.

Everyone in the Grand Prix comes out and poses in the ring to start the show.

Mila Smidt vs The Lady AI

MS backs her up in the corner off the lock up. A side headlock takeovers her. MS waistlock takedowns her for 2. MS hits chops and running euros her in the corner. AI flying back elbows her in the corner.

MS chops her and basement dropkicks her for 2. MS goes for a hold and AI ropebreaks. They trade chest forearms. MS clubs her on the back and bangs her head off the buckles. MS boots her in the corner then corner meteora's her. MS suplexes her for 2.

AI shoulders her over and hits dropkicks. AI tries to slam her but drops her. AI then slams her on the 2nd attempt. AI STO's her for 2. MS headbutts her then knees her in the face. MS does a rings of saturn with her leg hooking AI's head. She then submits her.

Thoughts: It was a shorter one and Mila won as expected. It was plain and nothing special at all. Mila's finisher looked good though.

Mai Sakurai & Shoko Koshino vs. Hummingbird & Megaton

SK and Mega go at it. Mega ducks a lock up and poses. SK isn't pleased. Mega does it again and is kicked in the butt. Mega grabs her and tries to dance with her. Hum then does the same with Mai. SK's team hits kicks on a kneeling Mega for 2.

SK presses Mega for 2 and Mega rolls her up. Mega's head is banged off of Mai's foot. Mai makes Mega run the ropes endlessly. Mai then trips her. Mai does a paradise lock on her, poses on her with SK and they both kick Mega in the butt. 

Mega throws streamers in Mai's face when Mai runs at her. Mega shoulders Mai over. Mega then grabs her whistle. she backpacks Hum and they do the stair stepper on Mai. Hum backrolls into a spinning headscissors on Mai. Hum basement dropkicks her for 2.

Mai legslices Hum for 2. SK comes in and lariats Hum. SK suplexes hum for 2. SK misses a corner charge. Hum 2nd rope diving headscissors her down. Hum dropkicks SK through the ropes. Hum is lifted for a bulldog for 2. Hum crossbodies SK, SK catches her and Mega pushes them over. Mega gets on Hum's back and they splash SK for 2.

Mega running bodyblocks Hum. Hum takes a double suplex. SK top rope splashes Hum and pins her.

Thoughts: Mega did comedy as usual. It was maybe acceptable as nothing went wrong, but it would have been better without any comedy.

Mai and SK get a gift from a sponsor after. It looks like a drawing of some sort. 

Aleah James & Diana Strong vs. Darkness Revolution (Misa Matsui & Rea Seto)

The heels hit the faces from behind before it starts. The heels then beat them up outside. Misa eye rakes DS and chest forearms her down. DS is sent into the post. AJ and DS are whipped into each other outside.

Rea hair throws AJ inside then stomps her. MM boots AJ in the corner. MM ties up AJ in the ropes and chinlocks her. MM knees AJ in the back for 2. MM running knees AJ in the corner. AJ double boots MM out of the corner. AJ hits forearms on MM then flying forearms her twice. AJ crossbodies MM for 2.

DS hits short arm lariats on MM. DS backdrops MM then pumping knees her for 2. DG takes a basement dropkick over the 2nd rope then MM crossbodies her against the bottom rope. Rea baseball slides her against the bottom rope. Rea then armbars DS.

DS counters a double suplex and hits her own. AJ hits chest forearms on Rea then flying double knees her in the corner. AJ bulldogs Rea then fisherman suplexes her. AJ top rope crossbodies Rea for 2. Rea backslides AJ for 2 and AJ takes a double boot. Rea low single leg dropkicks AJ. Rea armbars AJ and DS breaks it up.

DS catches MM's crossbody and Rea dropkicks them over. AJ kind of senton's Rea's back for 2. AJ brazilian kicks Rea. Rea then hooks both arms like a tiger suplex and pulls her into a pin. Rea's team wins.

Thoughts: It was an acceptable tag. There was nothing too special here but there were no major issues with it either.

The heels are given a gift from a sponsor in the ring for winning after.

DREAM STAR Grand Prix 2026 Block D Match - Nagisa Tachibana vs. Shinno

They trade wristlocks. NT side headlock takeovers her. Shin headscissors her. NT front facelocks her and wristlocks her. Shin reverses it. NT headflips out and armdrags her. NT dropkicks her. Shin flying forearms her.

Shin hits chest kicks for 2. Shin boots her in the leg. NT crossbodies her for 2. NT running corner dropkicks her and bulldogs her for 2. They trade chest forearms and Shin goes down. Shin knees NT in the gut. Shin is popped up and she dropkicks her. NT ropebreaks.

NT suplexes Shin for 2. NT walks up the ropes for a twisting crossbody but Shin kicks her down. Shin then sharpshooters her. NT ropebreaks. Shin kicks NT while she's down. 

NT hits chest forearms then suplexes her three times in a row for 2. NT walks up the buckles and twisting crossbodies her. Shin holds on and tries a pin off of it. Shin high kicks her and running knees her for 2. Shin spinning forearms her and pins her.

Thoughts: It was acceptable. Shin looked decent as usual and brought some energy and NT did her usual offense. Shin getting the win was a bit of an upset here.

DREAM STAR Grand Prix 2026 Block A Match - Natsumi Showzuki vs. Erina Yamanaka

They shake hands and EY pulls her into a northern lights suplex off of it. Nat rolls out and EY throws her back in. Nat then rolls out the other side. Nat hits chest forearms and buzzsaw kicks her outside. Nat runs at her and is popped up to the apron. 

EY running facekicks Nat then flying knees her in the corner. EY bronco busters her. EY then kneels on her for 2.  Nat flying knees EY in the corner. Nat then corner neteora's her and rides her with the the meteora. They trade forearms while holding each other's wrists.

Nat armbars EY. Nat ties up her arms and EY ropebreaks. Nat meteora's her through the ropes for 2. EY meteora's her. Nat reverse ddt's her but EY no sells it. EY suplexes her for 2. Nat rolls her up for 2 and EY rolls her up for 2. Nat high kicks her and meteora's her for 2. Nat rop rope diving meteora's her and pins.

Thoughts: It was an acceptable match here. Nat was a little better than usual and showed some personality here with Erina. I don't think it was one of Erina's best bouts though. These two had some chemistry together.

DREAM STAR Grand Prix 2026 Block B Match - Mayu Iwatani vs. CHIAKI

Chi boots Mayu during intros and facewashes her on the bottom rope. Mayu takes her down and kicks her in the back. Mayu flying headscissors her out. Chi pulls Mayu out and boots her in the face. Chi sends her into the seats.

Chi does Nagisa's pendulum kick to Mayu over the 2nd rope and gets a 2 count. Chi facewash kicks her over the bottom rope. Chi chops her and Mayu chest forearms her. Mayu spin kicks her. Mayu backrolls her and basement dropkicks her. 

Chi iron claws her. Chi corner spears her then corner cannonbals her for 2. They fight on the buckles. Mayu hurricanrana's her down. Mayu misses a top rope splash and Chi spears her. Mayu superkicks her then Chi powerslams her. Mayu cannonballs her against the bottom rope for 2. 

Mayu hurricanrana's her for 2. Mayu corner dropkicks her. Mayu top rope splashes her for 2. Chi pulls the ref into Mayu. Chi then boots the ref on accident. Chi grabs a chair and hits her in the gut with it. Chi then basement dropkicks the chair in Mayu's face. Chi burning hammers her for 2. Chi sitout powerbombs her then spinning sitout powerbombs her for 2. Chi top rope diving legdrops Mayu and pins her.

Thoughts: At least Mayu didn't lose easily here but I really didn't like the second half of this bout. Mayu kicked out of too much and the stuff with the ref was a bit too much here. I thought they were having a decent normal match too before they started doing all that stuff.

The local mayor talks for a bit prior to this. The girls in the main all come out with balloons.

Miku Aono & tWin toWer (Chika Goto & Kouki Amarei) vs. Komomo Minami, Victoria Yuzuki & Yuuka Yamazaki

Goto and YY go at it. Goto backs her up on the ropes then she shoulders her over. Goto giant swings YY. Goto boots her while she's down. She then forearms KM and hip attacks all 3 opponents on the ropes. YY's team puts balloon nooses around their opponents and they go into the stands. They fight in the stands but it's not real serious.

YY gets sent into Yuz and Goto stands on one of them. YY forearms Goto down in the stands. The girls then get back in the ring. YY basement dropkicks Goto for 2. Goto samoan drops YY. KA running facekicks YY then facekicks her over the 2nd rope for 2. KA cartwheels off the ropes and double crossbodyes her opponents. KA slams KM onto YY and tries to pin them together.

YY 2nd rope dropkicks KA. Yuz comes in and running dropkicks KA. Yuz flying headscissors her then dropkicks her over the bottom rope for 2. Yuz takes forearms from Goto and KA and is double shouldered over. KA suplexes Yuz for 2.

Miku gets in finally and dropkicks Yuz. She corner dropkicks her and kicks her in the back twice. Yuz wants to tag out but her partners won't tag in. Miku kicks her in the back and Yuz spin kicks her in the gut. Miku swinging slams Yuz and chest kicks her for 2. Yuz hip throws Miku.

Miku high kicsk Yuz then backdrops her for 2. They trade forearms. Yuz boots her and pumping knees her. Yuz running superkicks Miku and Miku high kicks her down. Goto and KM get in. KM rolls her up for 2. KM and YY double basement dropkick Goto.

Goto double lariats KM and YY. Goto giant swings KM. Goto corner splashes KM for 2. Goto chest forearms KM. Goto takesa double bulldog then a double basement dropkick for 2. YY and Yuz dropkick 2 girls out. KM top rope plancha's multiple people outside.

KM swinging fisherman neckbreakers Goto for 2. Goto takes superkicks to the head from KM and Yuz. Yuz and KM hit stereo top rope double stomps on Goto for 2. Goto emerald flowsion's KM for 2. Goto sliding lariats KM for 2. Goto air raid crashes KM for 2. KM sweeps Goto and rolls her up for 2.

KA takes out YY and Yuz. KM then takes a double backdrop from Goto and KA. Goto running dropkicks KM. She goes for the pin but KM reverses it and tries a pin on her. Goto flips KM with a lariat for 2. Goto backdrop uranage's KM and pins her.

Thoughts: Goto is from the city they are in, so she was more over than usual and won here. I didn't like all the screwing around outside and I would have been fine with this one if it wasn't for all of that. Kouki didn't do a ton as usual and KM's team weren't put over that big. Komomo did have a good showing though. 

Goto's team is given balloons for winning. Goto talks on the mic after and poses in and with the crowd. 

Aleah James and Diana Strong are interviewed in the post-show interviews. James complains about Rea's team cheating and Diana said they did good as a team. Jame says they aren't taking it anymore.

Overall thoughts: The opener was plain and not that good. Megaton's tag was half comedy but it was still acceptable. Diana Strong's tag match was also acceptable. Shinno/Nagisa was acceptable and Shinno looked decent here. Erina/Showzuki wasn't bad. I liked the first part of Mayu/CHIAKI but then Mayu kicked out of too much and they had did some shenanigans with the ref that I didn't like. The main wasn't super serious and Goto's team won since she was in her home down. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 and say it was average as we had some decent stuff but some stuff that could have been better as well
