Memphis Wrestling 1/24/2026 Episode #257

Maria and Dustin Starr are our hosts.

We see various wrestlers arriving. 

Tommy Rich is interviewed. He says this brings him back flashbacks to the old days and he's glad to be part of the show. 

He says this is where he started out. Silas Mason interrupts. Dustin says he's not supposed to be here right now. Silas says he's the NWA champ. He says Tommy's time at the top was a cup of coffee. He says the wildfire burnt him up. Tommy goes up to him. Silas says he sees the wildfire in his eyes. He says he will put him down if he thinks he can stand up to him. 

Marko Stunt interrupts and asks what he's doing. He says he's known him for years. He says he became NWA champ and his head blew up. He says he won't come in here and disrespect the legends in the building. 

Silas calls him a sawed off smurf. He says this is the only heavyweight title in wrestling. He says he won't respect any of them until they can put the respect into him. Marko says they will find someone to beat some respect into him tonight. Silas says it's been a while since the gold has been defended here. He says he'll take anyone on.

We go to break and return. Dustin is hyped up.

We see clips of K-Toomer and John Dalton fighting last week in a battle royal.

K-Toomer vs CJ Blaine

CJ dropkicks him and pounds on him to start. CJ enzugiri's him. KT superkicks him. KT overhead suplexes him. CJ codebreakers him and KT black hole slams him. KT death valley drivers him. KT running shining wizards him. CJ is out and the match is over.

Thoughts: The size differences here were incredible. It was a quick squash and the finish looked good, whether it was supposed to look like that or not.

K-Toomer is interviewed after. He says he's a man of ethics. He says he should have won the Grind City Rumble and should have been able to regain the title he never lost to begin with. He tells Big John Dalton to come out here and get knocked out like his daddy did.

Big John then comes out and hits Toomer in the gut with a chair. He hits punches on him. Toomer punches a chair into his face then chairs him. They get in the ring and fight. John hits a spinning forearm. KT hits punches to the gut and refs try to break it up. John spears KT and leaves him laying.

Someone named Clown tries to stop John. He's Toomer's best friend. John world's strongest slams him.

Thoughts: It was an okay little scuffle here and it was nice to see some big guys going at it. 

We see Major Curtis getting riled up with the fans and drinking beer.

King Cobra is interviewed. He's got a trophy in his hands. He says everyone knows about The Cobra Cup. He says there's been bad publicity about the rules but he doesn't handle that, he just supplies the cup. To qualify for this cup, in Round 1 you have to win a tag match, in Round 2 you have to beat your partner and Round 3 is the finals. They talk about Tim Bosley winning last year and then winning the title off of it. Cobra confirms that.

We see two people, who I think are wrestlers meeting up out in the woods. The one makes the other drink moonshine and chew tobacco. He tries to spit out of the tobacco and the other guy spills the moonshine on him.

The LA Hustlers ("Roughshot" Lamont Potts and "The Notorious" Bradley Diggs) The Disorderlies (#1 and #2)

The Disorderlies are two guys in medical scrubs and masks. Potts takes down one of The D's and pounds on him. The D back body drops him. Potts takes corner lariats. Potts jumping side kicks him. Diggs comes in and boots one of The D's. Diggs slams him then gordbusters Potts onto him for 2. The Hustlers go for their finisher and two wrestlers in camo come out. One of them has a whip. One of The D's then rolls up Potts and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a short one and not much of note with The Hustlers getting distracted and pinned.  The D's were definitely not expected to win this.

The King Cobra Cup Red Bracket entries are announced. We have The Shocker, Bobby Ford, Chris Lexx and Shawn Aries in the red bracket. 

The announcers talk about The Cobra Cup. 

We see an interview with Diana Taylor from last week where she talks about Su Yung putting her out by spraying mist in her eyes. She says she'll be looking for her at Superbout 5.

Diana Taylor is then interviewed. She says she hasn't heard from Su. She says they should up the ante in their match. She says they should do a Memphis Street Fight.  

Diana Taylor vs Momma Money

They lock up. DT throws her down backwards and boots her. DT's face is banged off the mat. MM corner splashes her and boots her in the corner. MM running hip attacks her for 2. DT hits shots to the gut.

We go to break. We see clips of King Cobra talking to Tommy Rich and they pose for a photo. We return from break. MM sleepers DT. They both fall over backwards. DT hits back elbows and facekicks her down. One of Momma's buddies, CJ Money, trips DT. MM rolls her up for 2. DT hits a ddt on Momma and pins her.

Thoughts: It was short and not that good. They both seemed to get hurt on the sleeper botch.

We get the Blue Bracket for the King Cobra Cup. Major Curtis, Sevyn Cruz, Vashawn Harvey and CJ Blaine are in the Blue Bracket.

The announcers talk. Next week's show has Mike Anthony vs Ray Sanders.

NWA World Title - Silas Mason (c) vs "Hangtime" Marko Harris

Marko was chosen by Stunt to face SM. Tommy Rich is on commentary for this.

SM pushes Marko off the lock up and poses. Marko side headlocks him then hurricanrana's him into the buckles. Marko is put up top. SM catches Marko off the buckles. Marko dropkicks him out of the ring. Marko goes for a dive and SM pulls Stunt in the way. SM chops him outside then chops the post when Marko moves. Mark topes him outside. Marko rolls him up for 2 and is hit with a stun gun and lariat. Marko kicks out at 2.

SM pulls Marko's arms back. SM bearhugs him. We cut ahead. Marko super kicks him in the gut and sunset flips him off the 2nd rope for 2. Marko flying forearms SM then corner lariats him. Marko 2nd rope euros him for 2. Marko crucifixes him for 2. SM goes for a thrill ride and the ref gets knocked down.

SM powerbombs Marko. Marko Stunt checks on the ref. SM grabs Stunt. Tommy Rich comes in the ring. He hits punches on SM then lariats him. Marko 2nd rope diving cutters him for 2. Marko tries it again and SM catches him with a thrill ride. SM pins him.

Thoughts: It was an alright bout with the crowd getting into it. Marko lost as expected but he looked good and didn't look out of place at all. This didn't get a ton of time but it was enough. We cut ahead at one point and I'm curious as to how much we missed.

Overall thoughts: It was an okay show. We had 4 matches. 2 were squashes, one wasn't good and the main was fine. The crowd was into it, the presentation was good and it was nice to see Tommy Rich and Silas Mason. There's nothing you really need to see here but it was an unoffensive and acceptable show. I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
