AEW Collision 1/24/2026

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/01/aew-collision-1172025-collision-maximum.html

This aired against SNME

We are in Orlando, Florida. Tony Schiavone, Excliabur and Paul Wight are on commentary.

"Hangman" Adam Page vs Katsuyori Shibata

They forearm each other. Page throws him out and sends him into the rails. KS' head is banged off the commentary table. KS facekicks him off the apron and sends him into the rails. KS forearms him against the rails and misses a flying kick. Page facekicks him over the rails.

They fight in the crowd. Page then running boots him against the rails. Page fallaway slams him. KS boots him out of the corner. KS is thrown out. Page springboards and is caught with a boot. KS suplexes him on the apron then holds on for one on the floor.

KS kneebreakers Page outside onto the knee. KS pulls on the foot inside then figure fours him. We go to PiP break and return. KS hits chest kicks. Page blocks one then they trade chops. KS eye rakes him. Page corner lariats him then KS flying facekicks him. They repeat the spot and trade german suplexes. They forearm each other down at the same time. They get up and trade forearms. KS low blows him then goes for an armbar. Page rolls him up off of it for 2.

KS sends him to the apron. Page hits deadeye on the apron. Page top rope moonsaults him outside. KS blocks a buckshot with an STO. KS traps Page's arm and pulls on the neck. KS misses a corner dropkicks. Page lariats him. Page buckshot lariats him and pins him.

Thoughts: Page won as expected here. I didn't like the deadeye on the apron not meaning much. That should put someone down, especially Shibata and it was ultimately meaningless. They also no sold a few germans here. I didn't like this.

Don Callis talks to Ricochet on the golf course with Davis and Doyle. Alex Marvez appears and he is asked how he got here. Doyle and Davis beat up somebody on the golf course behind them. Ricochet says GoA returns after wrestling in front of sold out crowds in Mexico. Don says Kenny Omega will get his against Josh Alexander and says Ricochet should worry about Jack Perry.

AEW Women's Title Eliminator Match - Kris Statlander vs Isla Dawn

Isla has The Grizzled Young Veterans with her.

Kris pounds on her in the corner. Dawn boots her out of the corner. Kris blocks a dropkick and catapults her into the buckles. Kris is hanging over the 2nd rope and is kicked. Dawn PK's her from the apron.

Dawn suplexes her in the ring for 2. Dawn hits leg kicks and euros. Kris punches her and Dawn high kicks her. Dawn backdrops her for 2. They fight on the buckles. Kris hits a nice top rope dropkick. Kris then hits a ki krusher for 2. Kris hits a single leg spinning tombstone and wins.

Thoughts: Kris won as expected. I was surprised there was no shenanigans here and I was surprised it ended as soon as it did. it was just a match.

Thekla appears on the tron and is clapping. She says Kris is so good and she's such a fan. She says it's so sad it's her last win as a champ. She says there will be other dumb b!tches. She spits on a Kris shirt and throws it in the trash can. She does the vulcan greeting and gives her the finger.

Jack Perry has a knife in the back. He says Ricochet took something from him more valuable than gold - a friend. He says Luchasaurus fought back from the brink of death so they would have a second chance. Jack says Ric took that from all of them so he will take his title and everything he has. He says that won't be enough. He then stabs a piece of wood.

Protoshita (Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher) vs Billy and Austin Gunn

They said Ace Austin couldn't make it here so Billy stepped in. This is a problem since The Gunn's never made up on camera after Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn turned heel a long time ago. This is KF's first match since the last AEW PPV and his first 2026 match. Don Callis is on commentary for this.

KF and AG go at it. KF backs him up on the ropes then waistlock takedowns him. AG wristlocks him and KF hits him in the gut. KF chops him in the corner. AG goes up and over. AG trips him and KF begs off in the corner.

Billy tags in. He tells KF to suck it on the lock-up. KF elbows him in the back of the head and Billy shoulders him over. Billy then poses. KT tags in. KT slaps him then Billy punches him. KT hits him again then flying lariats him. Billy is distracted and sent into the rails.

We go to PiP break and return. Billy boots KF in the gut and hits a fameasser for 2. KF misses a corner facekick and is hit with a 310 to Yuma for 2. KT forearms Billy out. AG spinning flatliners KT. Billy takes shots form the heels then a superkick + forearm combo. AG forearms KT and misses a corner charge. KF corner facekicks AG. KT spinning falcon arrows AG and pins him.

Thoughts:
It was an alright match here. They kept things moving and it didn't go long enough to where KT and KF could no sell things. The Gunn's lost as expected but they got nothing out of their big on-screen reunion here.

Don Callis raises his men's hands after. Kazuchika Okada comes on the ramp and KT wants at him.

The Demand do a promo. Ricochet says he's so sorry about Luchasaurus. He says they send their apologies and all the luck Jack can get. He says where better to have their rematch then in his hometown of Las Vegas. He says he will need all the luck he can get. He says we all know a jack is a jester and a joke. He says Jack will be another loser amongst a sea of losers who expected to win big but lost it all. Ric says Jack will find out soon why he is out of this world.

The Grizzled Young Vets wrestle. They say AEW is where rats like Ortiz and Eddie wrestle. They say they cheated to beat them. They tell them to get used to looking over their shoulders. Drake says they have no problem using weapons if they want to. Eddie Kingston says he doesn't think they are tougher than him and dares them to make a move.

Mark Davis and Jake Doyle vs Jordan Oliver and Alec Price

Jack knocks over both to start. AP hits forearms and backhands on him then is bodyblocked. JO gets on Jake's back. Mark germans him down. Jake's team hits running corner attacks and throws their opponents into each other. Jake slams JO and AP's head is banged off the comemntary table.

Jake lariats JO and throws him hard into the buckles. Mark sliding forearms JO and tries to kneel on him to pin him. JO hits shots to the gut and chops. Mark slams him and misses a senton. Mark misses a corner splash. AP pump kicks Jake then hits forearms on Mark. Mark pops him up and is dropkicked. AP runs up the ropes and blockbusters MD.

JO dropkicks Jake. Jake catches AP's tope outside and throws him head first into JO. The jobbers backs are rammed together and they take stereo slams. AP takes a pilrriver and JO takes a black hole slam. AP and JO are pinned.

Thoughts: It was a short but entertaining squash. The spot where the jobbers were thrown into each other was pretty wild. It was nice to see some bigger guys run over smaller guys for a change.

Don Callis gets in the ring. He says he has something to say to FTR. He says he had a vision of pain and a vision of him owning the tag titles. He says his dream came true with Davis and Doyle.

FTR and Big Stoke interrupt on the tron. Stoke says Don is a liar. He says if Don says it's day time, it's night time and if he says it's yellow, it's purple. He says the people you should believe are FTR. He says FTR are truthtellers and upstanding citizens. He says they will be announced as still the tag champs after the match.

We see Darby Allin driving somewhere. He says he has a friend who knows a thing about being reckless. We then see him skateboarding with Bam Margera. Bam tells him he needs to be safe. We see Bam fall while skateboarding.

AEW TBS Title - Willow Nightingale (c) vs Julia Hart

Hart piefaces her to start. Willow shoulders her over twice and I think they botched a spot between that. Hart crucifixes her for 2 then willow fisherman suplexes her for 2. Willow hits corner lariats on her. Hart double throat chops her. Hart walks the top rope and diving headscssors her. Willow back elbows her out of the corner and 2nd rope dropkicks her.

Skye Blue comes down and distracts Willow. Harley Cameron comes down and fights with Blue. Willow misses a corner cannonball and Hart neckbreakers her over the middle rope. Hart hits mounted shots. We go to PiP break and return.

Willow is kicked off the 2nd rope and goes down to the ramp and floor. Willow's head is banged off the buckles. Hart walks the railing top and Willow suplexes her on the floor.

Willow corner cannonballs Hart for 2. Hart does the tarantula to her. Hart spinning ddt's her for 2. Hart does an octopus to her. Hart top rope moonsaults but Willow gets her feet up. Hart hurricanrana's her for 2. Willow chops her then hits a doctor bomb to win.

Thoughts
: It was alright. Willow won as expected and Hart took some hard shots and bumps here. There wasn't any great logic or story to this. Harley and Skye got involved but left as soon as they came.

The Rascalz are in the back eating food. They talk about how nice the place is. Dez doesn't know why Cru want to fight. Dez says it's because they are the new kids on the block. Zach says they have a debacle as it's 3 of us and 2 of them. Reed says they should draw straws and they agree on rock, paper, scissors. Reed keeps losing and they all pick the same thing each time. They say with Reed's support, they can't lose.

Alex Windsor says her and Jamie Hayter don't have any history and they should make some. She says neither of them back down from a fight. She says it's time she won some gold and says it's time she won some gold that she can take home. Jamie says she supposes they need matching outfits then.

Andrade El Idolo vs Magnus

Idolo is fighting a CMLL guy here so I wonder if his heat with CMLL has been squashed?

Idolo wristlocks him. Mag spin kicks him and Idolo hits forearms and chops. Mag springboards and Idolo puts him down into the mat. Idolo facekicks him and chokes him on the ropes. Mag is sent hard into the buckles and goes down.

Idolo back body drops him. Idolo facekicks him then chops him down. Mag flying headscissors him out. Mag goes for a dive and is forearmed down. Idolo takes a selfie with a fan and then puts his number in the phone. Mag is sent into the steps. We go to PiP break and return.

Mag is crotched up top. Idolo hits 3 amigo's for 1 when he pulls him up. Idolo ties up Mag's arms and unties his mask. Mag cradles him for 2. Idolo back elbows him and chops him. Mag dropkicks him in the knee and low single leg dropkicks him. Mag lariats him over the top. Mag topes him into the commentary table.

Mag top rope swantons Idolo for 1. Idolo trips him into the buckles. Idolo hits a hard corner meteora for 1 when he pulls him up. Idolo spinning double underhook drops him and pins him.

Thoughts: Idolo won here as expected and was pretty cocky about it. He pulled up Mag on pins and kind of toyed with him some. I wonder how CMLL feels about that. It was a longer and one-sided bout but it was acceptable. They mentioned the girl again after Idolo won so I'm sure we will see her again.

Idolo does a taped promo after. He says Callis brought him here as he can win the title. He tells Swerve he wants the AEW World Title and Swerve in his way.

CMLL World Heavyweight Title - Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs Roderick Strong

OC comes out with RS. CC has Yuta with him. Tony Khan holds the title for them for a picture as CMLL usually does pre-match photos with titles. Mox is on commentary.

CC is pulled into the post. Yuta then bangs RS' leg against the post. OC orange punches Yuta and CC lariats OC. RS flying knees CC twice. RS goes for another flying knee. CC puts the ref in the way. CC giant swings RS then neutralizers him to win.

Thoughts:
I liked it. They started out aggressive and CC mostly worked the knee all match here. It was stiff and they had a good wrestling match here. CC won as expected as the CMLL Title was on the line.

Overall thoughts: It was a heavy wrestling show as always but the opener was the only match I really had a problem with. The stars weren't really in action as usual and there weren't a lot of storyline developments, just a lot of okay wrestling. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 as it was okay enough and I'd say the main was the best match of the night.
