NWA World Tag Titles - The Immortals (Kratos and Odinson) vs Blunt Force Trauma (Damage and Carnage

Dam has the tattoos and Carn doesn't. We are told BFT is now done with Aron Stevens.

BFT attack from behind to start. Kratos is sent out. Carn is then sent out. Dam takes a corkscrew euro to the back of the neck. Odin knee drops Dam then low sliding lariats him for 2. Kratos chest clubs Dam in the corner. Odin misses a corner charge and goes shoulder first into the post.

We go to break. Carson Drake is with Lockjaw, Aron Stevens, Mondo, Slade and The Slimeballz. Carson wants a team name. Sage says they should be, "The Slimeballz of Fire". Mondo wants to be, "The Gutchecking Machines". Rant comes up with a name with all of their names being the best pals. Carson says they need a proper name for this group of winners. Aron says they are "The Federation of Champions and The Slimeballz".

Silas Mason's NWA Title is on a chair. He grabs it and says time's up for Thom. He says he's coming to get him then screams.

We return from break. Odin is down and Carn does a trapezius hold on him. Odin takes a corner lariat and splash. Dam shoulders over Odin for 2. Dam trapezius holds Odin. Odin hits a mcgillicutter on him. Kratos and Carn get in. Kratos back elbows him then flying forearms him in the corner. Kratos powerslams him then 2nd rope moonsaults him for 2.

Dam spinebusters Kratos. Carn rolling spears Odin. Carn superkicks Kratos and Kratos jumping knees him. Kratos pele kicks him. Carn takes a flapjack + 2nd rope euro to the back of the head and is pinned.

Thoughts: BFT hadn't been around lately. I don't know how they got this shot but it was obvious they weren't winning. What we got was fine though as these two teams usually put a decent bout on. BFT's going to need another manager since Stevens has left them.

Natalia Markova does a promo. She says it's been a long time with her and Shotzi Blackheart. She says she was getting started while Shotzi was established. She says doesn't chase anymore and is then standard. She says Shotzi faces passion and says it's not about the past. Shotzi interrupts. She says she won't let her forget she couldn't beat her 6 years ago. Matt Cardona then asks Nat if she has seen Billy Corgan but she says he has left.

The Paige Sisters and Tommy Henry do a promo. Kylie says they would have won if Joe Cazana wasn't out there in their match with AJ and KC Cazana. Ken says the match elevated them. Ken rips TVMA. She says Tiffany Nieves isn't a wrestler yet alone a tag wrestler. She thanks The Hex for igniting the tag division again. She says they gave them a real tag team to go up against.

The Holy Grail do a promo. EC3 says mistakes have been made but not by them. EC says the tag titles are their quest. He says The Immortals will have to put their name to the test.

NWA Women's Title - Natalia Markova (c) vs Shotzi Blackheart

Nat waistlock takedowns her. SB armdrags her. Nat side headlocks her. SB stomps Nat's foot. Nat thesz presses her and pounds on her. They roll on the mat. Nat blocks her boot and hits forearm. Nat bulldogs her. Nat split leg drops her for 2.

Nat is on the apron and SB flying kicks her down. Nat's head is banged off the buckles. They fight on the stage and SB lariats her there. SB gets a 2 count on her inside. SB boots her out of the corner then hanging headscissors her over the top rope. SB lariats her from behind then chokes her on the ropes.

SB corner cannonballs her for 2. They trade shots. SB knees her in the face and Nat cutters her. SB chops her and Nat tells her to bring it on. Nat hits chops and high kicks her. Nat spinning facebusters her for 2. SB neckbreakers Nat for 2.

SB hits kicks and suplexes her into the buckles. SB misses a corner senton. Nat dropkicks her off the buckles. Nat spinning heel kicks her in the corner then double arm dddt's her. Nat then pins her.

Thoughts: It wasn't technically great but Nat brought some spirit and energy to this and I was alright with this one. It kept my interest and Nat did what she was supposed to do in this.

Thom Latimer does a promo. He says tonight is the night he goes face to face with Thrillbilly. He says every time they face off, their lives are in the hands of the gods. He says they know they could get hurt or die out there. He says they both know someone will lose and Thom says he doesn't want to be that guy. Thom says he wants what he used to have back. He says he needs to tell himself that he's bigger and better and deserves it. He says he needs to tell himself that he will kick his @ss and become NWA champ again. Thom says let's do this.

Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox do a promo. Trev says he sits around and thinks about the time he was champ. He says he watches the show and sees The Slimes and Silas as champ. He says he sees Latimer getting another shot and says why not him? He says he's a 2x NWA champ and says why can't be a 3x NWA champ. Knox says he's asking the right questions. Trev says being a 3x NWA champ sounds good.

NWA World Title - Silas Mason (c) vs Thom Latimer

Matt Cardona hits Thom during his entrance and drops him. He boots him on the floor. Matt comes in the ring, says he's in the ring and wants his title shot. Billy Corgan comes out and is shocked. The announcers bring up Corgan telling Cardona, "the next time you are in the ring, I'll give you a title shot".

The officials talk and we are told the match has now changed and is now a Peach Tree Streefight.

Peach Tree Streefight - NWA World Title - Silas Mason (c) vs Matt Cardona

Thom is being helped up outside. SM pushes Matt back on the lock up. SM slams Matt. Matt hits a chop and forearm and that just gets SM mad. SM headbutts him and corner splashes him. SM back body drops him. SM is back body dropped to the apron.

Matt eye rakes him outside and bangs his head off the apron. SM chases Mat to the back. They then come through the other side and Matt boots SM down steps. SM chops Matt's back. Matt dropkicks SM through the ropes. Matt hits forearms. SM is busted open.

Matt hits a broski boot twice. SM boots him out of the corner. SM calls for The Southern Six. Alex Taylor comes out and chairs SM then Matt ducks. Alex is thrown out and SM is sent out too. 

We go to break. Dragon Nihan does a promo on Mims. He says he's one of the rising stars of the NWA but says not today. Mims says he won't say Nihan won against him. Nihan says he destroys careers and erase names. Mims says he wants more and will get more. They fight next week.

The Immortals do a promo. The Good Brothers come in. The Good's say they are next but they come in pece. They say congrats. Doc says there's no heat but a little bit of beard. Doc puts them over and says they hope they see them for the tag titles the next time they see them. Kratos says they were pumped to see them. Kratos says that match will be too sweet.

We return from break. Matt hits forearms on SM then pulls his throat down over the top rope. Matt chairs SM in the gut. Matt trips him into an open chair. Matt misses a chair shot and it rebounds off the ropes into him. SM hits a big lariat. Eric Smalls comes out. He stomps Matt from grabbing the chair. Matt grabs him by the shirt. Eric goes between his legs. Eric is caught between SM and Matt. SM tells him to leave and Eric punches SM in the crotch. Matt then kicks SM in the crotch. Eric and Matt pound fists and Eric punches him in the crotch.

They trade forearms. SM powerslams him for 2 when Trevor Murdoch pulls the ref out. Trev points at SM. Matt then ddt's SM. Matt swings at Trev and Trev spinebusters him. 

SM charges at Matt, Matt puts the ref in his way. Matt hits a throat shot and double knees him in the corner. SM powerbombs Matt for 2. Matt throws a chair at SM's head and hits radio silence off the buckles for 2. Matt grabs a chair. Thom Latimer comes out and takes the chair from Matt and gives him the finger. SM hits a thrill ride on Matt. SM bodyscissors him, ties up the arms and chokes him. Matt submits him.

Thoughts: This was just typical NWA stuff. They had a perfectly fine singles title match set up that was built for weeks and we end up not getting it. Instead we get a circus with Cardona, Knox and Murdoch, Billy Corgan and Eric Smallz. The match just was what it was with endless run in's. Maybe they will be able to make sense of all of it in next few weeks.

Silas mounts Matt after and talks trash. Thom attacks Silas after and hits him with a chair in the gut and back. 

Overall thoughts: This promotion just makes you shake your head week after week. Even if things go well, creative has to stick their nose in and tries to turn a lay-up into a 360 between the legs slam dunk that ends up missing. They hyped up Latimer/Silas for weeks and in the end, we didn't get it. We got Matt Cardona vs Silas instead. A million people got involved and we are left with more questions than answers. The first two matches went fine at least and they did a good job with recaps and setting up things for next time, but we ultimately didn't get what were promised. I'd give this a 4 out of 10 and was disappointed by it.
