Ring of Honor on HonorClub 1/1/2026

The last show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/01/ring-of-honor-youtube-special-episode-4.html

We are still in NYC at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Ian Riccaboni and Caprice Coleman are on commentary.

Bandido & Jay Lethal vs. The Swirl (Blake Christian & Lee Johnson)

Band beats up on the heels to start and pounds on BC. Lee boots Band in the corner and chokes him with his feet. Lee back elbows Band for 2. Lee and Band double clothesline each other. Lee stomps on Band then BC stomps on Band. BC yanks Band's arm over the top.

Band is double teamed in the corner. Band boots his opponents out of the corner and top rope tornillos both. Band goes for a tag and Jay pulls his hand away. Jay then tells he heels to go after Band. Band takes a half-nelson suplex and a springboard 450 for 2. Band pushes the heels into each other and grabs Jay.

Band hits punches on the heels then Jay hits a lethal injection on Band. Band takes a top rope double stomp + death valley driver combo. Everyone then beats up on Band. The ref then calls this off.

Thoughts:
It was more an angle than a match. I have no idea why Jay turned on Band here.

Jay takes off Band's mask after. Adam Priest and Tom Billington save Bandido. Jay then puts Band's mask on.

Serpentico vs. Bryan Keith

They compete for cheers to start. BK shoulders him over nd gets tripped. Serp flying headscissors him then rolls him up for 2. Serp la magistral's him for 2. Serp is on the 2nd rope and is headbutted down to the outside. BK facekicks him outside. BK eye rakes him and bangs his head off the buckles.

BK knee drops him for 2. BK hits knees to the gut. They fight for a suplex and BK is suplexed. Serp flying forearms him and kips up. Serp running euros him in the corner. BK misses a corner charge and Serp headscissors him down. Serp jumping flatliners him for 2.

Serp sunset flips him off an exploder attempt. BK hits a hard lariat for 2. Serp superkicks him out and topes him. BK tiger drivers him and wins.

Thoughts: It got a lot of time and was an okay bout. It was nothing you'd remember but Serp had some nice counters, they kept it moving and didn't do anything too crazy.

Deonna Purrazzo & Madison Rayne vs. MIT (Billie Starkz & Diamante)

They shake hands and the heels go for shots off of it. The heels take back elbows then Dia takes a double suplex. Dia is booted in the gut and the side of the head. DP powerbombs Dia for 2. MR hits forearms on BS then BS fires back. Dia is flipped into a shiranui on MR. BS top rope swantons MR and pins her.

Thoughts: This got more than enough time to play out. It had a couple sloppy moments here. I thought it was just average.

Lance Archer vs. Steve Gibki

SG piefaces him and hits punches. Lance shoulders him over then facekicks him. Lance spinning uranage's him. Lance chops him in the corner. Lance hits running back elbows on SG. SG superkicks him then dropkicks him. SG's tope is caught outside and Lance chokeslams him on the apron.

SG charges at him in the corner and is footpressed down. SG is up top and is step up knee'd. Lance hits a blackout and pins him.

Thoughts: It was the same Lance squash we have been seeing for years now. He won pretty easily as usual and I wouldn't expect anything to happen off of this.

Darius waistlock takedowns Lee then armdrags him into an armlock. Lee knees him in the head and legsweeps him. Darius dropicks Dean. Kom springboard double stomps Dean. Kom running dropkicks Dean. Kom is speared into the corner and double clubbed on there.

Bravo hits punches on Kom in the corner. Bravo corner splashes Kom. Bravo slingshot cutters Kom for 2 then chinlocks him. Kom takes a double hiptoss then is double stomped on. Kom takes a double gorilla press drop. Kom is popped up and armdrags Lee into a pin attempt for 2.

Thoughts: It was an okay match here. They kept thing things moving. There was nothing too great in this but it was okay for midcard filler.

Deonna Purrazzo and Madison Rayne talk in the back. MR says this business is all she knows for 25 years. She says tonight was emotional as it's the end of an era for her. She says she knew it was coming and said she lost a piece of herself when her dad passed away. She says she's trying to re-find her purpose and self by coaching the next gen. She says that's Deonna and not her anymore. She says she couldn't have asked for a better partner or a better night. She thanks her and says it was emotional in the best way.

Aaron Solo vs. Hechicero

Solo offers a handshake and Hech gives him one. Hech does his pose. Hech  grabs him by the leg and Solo side headlocks him. Hech armbars him then cranks his other arm back. Hech shoulders him over then la magistal's him for 2.

Solo armdrags Hech and dropkicks him out. Solo tope con hilos him. Solo top rope double stomps him for 2. Solo is pulled down off the leapfrog and legdropped. Hech hits chops and punches in the corner. He hits mounted corner punches on Solo. Hech pumphandle splexes him for 2.

Solo hits forearms and lariats on Hech. Solo neckbreakers him. Hech tries to catapult him into the buckles but Solo 2nd rope double stomps him off of it. Hech powerslams him and rolls him up for 2. Hech step up knees him in the corner then flapjacks him. Hech rolls him around the ring and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a shorter and mostly competitive match. Solo lost as expected here. It was acceptable.

Fight Without Honor Six Man Tag Team Match - Dalton Castle & The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) vs. MxM TV (Johnny TV, Mansoor & Mason Madden)

The heels throw down a Christmas tree on the stage and stomp on it. The faces go after the heels. JTV is slammed on the stage. The faces put the christmas tree back up and then get hit. Taya Valkyrie boots Trubo. Dalton is put in a red sack and stomped. Turbo takes a leg lariat + spinebuster combo.

Taya spits an onion at Truth outside. Taya and JTV then make out with the onion. JTV hits the boys with wrapping paper sticks. Dalton throws giant ball ornaments at the heels. Dalton gets the ornament stuck trying to get it in the ring.

JTV runs at Dalton and he bodyblocks him with the ornament. Mansoor tries to give Turbo a present then tries to hit him with it. Turbo punches it in Mansoor's face. Mansoor tries to do it to him but there's a brick in the present and he hurts his hand.

Madden hits Dalton with a christmas tree. The tree is dropkicked into Madden. Turbo spins the tree around on his shoulders and hits the heels with it. Madden knees Turbo in the gut. Madde then throws the tree at the faces.

Madden and Mansoor try The Runners' double elbow spot on Dalton but Dalton moves. Taya grabs Dalton. JTV tries to pie Dalton but nails Taya with it instead. JTV is pushed into Taya then Dalton germans JTV. Dalton takes an atomic drop and a spinebuster. Mansoor takes a double team slam. Madden hits a side effect on Turbo.

The Runners do their double elbow drop spot. The Runners put 2 tables in the ring. The Runners then get hit with low blows.

JTV kicks a present into Truth. The Runners are tables inside and outside the ring. JTV and Mansoor are up top. Dalton throws a ball ornament at them and they get double crotched. JTV is thrown through a table outside and Mansoor takes a double superplex. Mansoor then gets pinned.

Thoughts: Holiday hardcore matches are always a good time and this was no exception. They had a bunch of fun spots here and tons of chaos as expected. The faces naturally won. I enjoyed this.

Overall thoughts: The match were mostly all random here. The main was the best thing on here. We had a big swerve in the opener with Lethal turning on Bandido for unknown reasons. That was made stranger by the fact that Lethal joined up with Blake Christian, who he was feuding with a few months prior. We only had one squash here thankfully, but had a few other matches with obvious outcomes. It was a little more tolerable than usual and a couple of the champs actually made the show for a change. I'd give this a 5 out of 10. The main was really the only thing worth seeing here.
