EPW Wrestling 1/3/2026 Episode #223

Gene Jackson and Joey Gross are on commentary.

Parental Advisory (Gage and Dubbs) talk about facing The Country Gentlemen. They say they need this win. Gage says he's got his end and needs Dobbs to get his end.

The commentators welcome us to the show and say there's an NWA takeover this week.

Tyler Franks vs Shawn Aries

They lock up. SA backs him up in the corner. SA hammerlocks him and trips him. TF seatbelt pins him for 2. TF then piefaces him. SA backs him up in the corner. SA misses a shot and is eye poked. TF forearms him. SA running lariats him. 

We go to break and return. SA kicks him while he's down. SA asai moonsaults and TF gets his knees up. TF eye pokes him then bottom rope flipping side neckbreakers him for 2. TF stomps SA's arm. TF knees him in the back and does a head and arm lock. TF dropkicks him.

TF hits euros in the corner. SA back elbows him. SA hits chops then hits a big lariat. SA back elbows him then pumping knees him. SA atomic drops him then dropkicks him out from behind. SA tope con hilos him and lands on his feet.

SA springboards and is hit with a TF knee. SA misses a dropkick and takes a back fist. SA disaster kick's him for 2. SA misses a 450 then misses a spear that sends him into the buckles. TF rolls him up for 2. TF goes up and over and backdrops him. TF twisting suplexes him for 2.

TF piefaces him. SA hits a big punch then a flurry of punches. TF stomps the foot. TF euros him down. TF springboards and is caught with a spear. SA shockingly picks up the win.

Thoughts: Big upset here with SA beating TF. They tried. It was acceptable but I think the smaller ring size didn't give them some of the mobility they were used to as they were close in on a lot of moves.  

The Initiative (Trace Lee Hunt and Jason Genesis) vs The EOG (JT Williams and Tye Miller)

Miller dropkicks Hunt early. Hunt takes a double hiptoss then a legdrop and senton. Jason takes an atomic drop into a facekick and running ssp. Hunt takes a double kick and a double neckbreaker.

Miller goes up top and Jason hits him. Miller takes a powerplex for 2. JT hits shots on his opponents in the corners. Jason half-nelson supelxes JT then Hunt suplexes JT. Miller is whipped into a lariat for 2. Miller side headlock takeovers Hunt. Miller is then held for a single leg codebreaker for 2. 

Miller's head is banged off the buckles. Miller enzugiri's Jason then hits Hunt with one. Miller goes for the tag but JT is pulled down off the apron by Jason. Miller hits a bad standing spanish fly on Hunt. Hunter Dabbs is out there beating up on Jason Genesis. Hunt takes an assisted blue thunder bomb and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a quick and fast paced bout. It wasn't the cleanest. I was surprised it didn't get more time. EOG were really moving well here and hit a bunch of double teams. 

Dakota Gage pulls Dabbs off of Jason outside. Gage is limping.

Madi The American Badi is interviewed by Allen Pounds. Madi tells Allen to shut up. Madi says everyone is in on this and she says she wants a rematch right now. Corinne Joy, the 2025 EPW Queen of the Ring, comes out. Joy says she understands why Madi is upset but says she should be in line since she's Queen of the Ring. Lil Bit, the EPW Women's champ, comes out. 

Bit says she doesn't care what either girl has to say. She says they are ruining her celebratory moment. She says since they want to interrupt her, she will take on both to stop the yapping.

Commissioner Swiss comes out. He says they are wasting his TV time and says they are lucky they are on his show. Swiss agrees to the triple threat and says to get off his show.

Moses Cain vs Prince Moulay

MC throws him back off the lock up. PM kicks him then hits a nice dropkick. PM springboard heel kicks him. MS then hits a nasty lariat to the face. PM is thrown into the corner. MC hits a hard chop then a corner splash. MC throws him then legdrops him for 2. 

MC headbutts him then bearhugs him. PM ear claps him then lariats him. PM tries another lariat then MC hits a big black hole slam for the win.

Thoughts: It was a squash but it worked. MC looked big and bad and Prince sold well for MC.

EPW Women's Title - Lil Bit (c) vs Madi the American Badi vs Corinne Joy

Madi goes after Bit before she gets in. CJ is armdragged by Madi. CJ tries a pin on her then thesz presses her. Bit breaks that up and throws CJ down backwards. Bit knees CJ in the gut then running boots her. 

Madi short arm lariats Bit and CJ. Madi hits running corner hip attacks on both opponents. Madi foot chokes CJ in the corner. Bit hits Madi from behind then germans her. CJ rolls into a double dropkick on her opponents. Madi double germans her opponents together.

Madi misses a 2nd rope move when CJ is pushed. CJ backcrackers Bit. CJ legslices her back for 2. Madi hits CJ win the belt and is DQ'd. Lil Bit retains the title.

Thoughts: What we got wasn't that great here with a lot of things not hitting clean. They didn't waste any time here though. I haven't seen a lot of DQ's in three-way's.

Madi beats up both opponents after. The announcers say Madi lost it and Madi blames the ref.

Cabana Man Dan is interviewed. He's on his retirement tour. Dan says he's excited to have part of his retirement tour run through here. The Order come in. Dorian Vain asks who told him he was allowed to be here without asking. He asks who he thinks he is. Dan says he'd hate for Vain's title to go home with him on his retirement tour forever. Joey asks if they got a title match and Vain says absolutely. 

The Country Gentlemen (AJ and KC Cazana) vs Parental Advisory (Hunter Dabbs and Dakota Gage)

The Cazana's offer handshakes then boot them off of it. Gage's head is banged off the buckles. The Cazana's run into each other when The Advisory moves. Gage hits gut punches on KC then AJ is sent into KC in the corner. Dabbs monkey flips AJ. Dabbs is sent into AJ. KC monkey flips his own brother on accident in a poorly done spot. 

Dabbs dropkicks KC. Gage corner spears KC then Dabbs dropkicks KC off of it. AJ trips Gage and bangs his knee off the post. KC foot chokes Gage. We go to break and return.

KC slams Gage. KC then struts into a legdrop on Gage. AJ slams Gage. KC is flapjacked onto Gage. KC kneels on Gage and pulls his arms back. Gage's knee is banged off the mat. Gage spinebusters KC. Gage sells his knee hard and struggles to get to his corner.

Hunter and AJ get in. AJ catches his top rope crossbody. Hunter is caught with a double chop + russian legsweep and is pinned.

Thoughts: Parental Advisory lost as expected here as they blamed Dabbs' injured knee for the loss. The crowd wasn't into this one too much for some reason whcih frustrated KC. I didn't like that monkey flip spot The Cazana's did as it wasn't done well and is too hard to buy in general. It was what it was.

Dabbs yells at Gage after and blames him for the loss. Gage points at his knee then Dabbs kicks him in the leg. Dabbs then leaves while Gage is down.

Gage and Dabbs' dad Tony Dabbs comes out and helps up Gage.

Overall thoughts: There was nothing too great on this one but it is a more local indy and a certain level of quality should be expected. The announcers did a good job as usual and they set up some stuff for future shows which was good. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 as it was a bit of an average night and oddly, the NWA guys didn't really impress.
