Memphis Wrestling 1/24/2026 Episode #257

Maria and Dustin Starr are our hosts.

We see various wrestlers arriving. 

Tommy Rich is interviewed. He says this brings him back flashbacks to the old days and he's glad to be part of the show. 

He says this is where he started out. Silas Mason interrupts. Dustin says he's not supposed to be here right now. Silas says he's the NWA champ. He says Tommy's time at the top was a cup of coffee. He says the wildfire burnt him up. Tommy goes up to him. Silas says he sees the wildfire in his eyes. He says he will put him down if he thinks he can stand up to him. 

Marko Stunt interrupts and asks what he's doing. He says he's known him for years. He says he became NWA champ and his head blew up. He says he won't come in here and disrespect the legends in the building. 

Silas calls him a sawed off smurf. He says this is the only heavyweight title in wrestling. He says he won't respect any of them until they can put the respect into him. Marko says they will find someone to beat some respect into him tonight. Silas says it's been a while since the gold has been defended here. He says he'll take anyone on.

We go to break and return. Dustin is hyped up.

We see clips of K-Toomer and John Dalton fighting last week in a battle royal.

K-Toomer vs CJ Blaine

CJ dropkicks him and pounds on him to start. CJ enzugiri's him. KT superkicks him. KT overhead suplexes him. CJ codebreakers him and KT black hole slams him. KT death valley drivers him. KT running shining wizards him. CJ is out and the match is over.

Thoughts: The size differences here were incredible. It was a quick squash and the finish looked good, whether it was supposed to look like that or not.

K-Toomer is interviewed after. He says he's a man of ethics. He says he should have won the Grind City Rumble and should have been able to regain the title he never lost to begin with. He tells Big John Dalton to come out here and get knocked out like his daddy did.

Big John then comes out and hits Toomer in the gut with a chair. He hits punches on him. Toomer punches a chair into his face then chairs him. They get in the ring and fight. John hits a spinning forearm. KT hits punches to the gut and refs try to break it up. John spears KT and leaves him laying.

Someone named Clown tries to stop John. He's Toomer's best friend. John world's strongest slams him.

Thoughts: It was an okay little scuffle here and it was nice to see some big guys going at it. 

We see Major Curtis getting riled up with the fans and drinking beer.

King Cobra is interviewed. He's got a trophy in his hands. He says everyone knows about The Cobra Cup. He says there's been bad publicity about the rules but he doesn't handle that, he just supplies the cup. To qualify for this cup, in Round 1 you have to win a tag match, in Round 2 you have to beat your partner and Round 3 is the finals. They talk about Tim Bosley winning last year and then winning the title off of it. Cobra confirms that.

We see two people, who I think are wrestlers meeting up out in the woods. The one makes the other drink moonshine and chew tobacco. He tries to spit out of the tobacco and the other guy spills the moonshine on him.

The LA Hustlers ("Roughshot" Lamont Potts and "The Notorious" Bradley Diggs) The Disorderlies (#1 and #2)

The Disorderlies are two guys in medical scrubs and masks. Potts takes down one of The D's and pounds on him. The D back body drops him. Potts takes corner lariats. Potts jumping side kicks him. Diggs comes in and boots one of The D's. Diggs slams him then gordbusters Potts onto him for 2. The Hustlers go for their finisher and two wrestlers in camo come out. One of them has a whip. One of The D's then rolls up Potts and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a short one and not much of note with The Hustlers getting distracted and pinned.  The D's were definitely not expected to win this.

The King Cobra Cup Red Bracket entries are announced. We have The Shocker, Bobby Ford, Chris Lexx and Shawn Aries in the red bracket. 

The announcers talk about The Cobra Cup. 

We see an interview with Diana Taylor from last week where she talks about Su Yung putting her out by spraying mist in her eyes. She says she'll be looking for her at Superbout 5.

Diana Taylor is then interviewed. She says she hasn't heard from Su. She says they should up the ante in their match. She says they should do a Memphis Street Fight.  

Diana Taylor vs Momma Money

They lock up. DT throws her down backwards and boots her. DT's face is banged off the mat. MM corner splashes her and boots her in the corner. MM running hip attacks her for 2. DT hits shots to the gut.

We go to break. We see clips of King Cobra talking to Tommy Rich and they pose for a photo. We return from break. MM sleepers DT. They both fall over backwards. DT hits back elbows and facekicks her down. One of Momma's buddies, CJ Money, trips DT. MM rolls her up for 2. DT hits a ddt on Momma and pins her.

Thoughts: It was short and not that good. They both seemed to get hurt on the sleeper botch.

We get the Blue Bracket for the King Cobra Cup. Major Curtis, Sevyn Cruz, Vashawn Harvey and CJ Blaine are in the Blue Bracket.

The announcers talk. Next week's show has Mike Anthony vs Ray Sanders.

NWA World Title - Silas Mason (c) vs "Hangtime" Marko Harris

Marko was chosen by Stunt to face SM. Tommy Rich is on commentary for this.

SM pushes Marko off the lock up and poses. Marko side headlocks him then hurricanrana's him into the buckles. Marko is put up top. SM catches Marko off the buckles. Marko dropkicks him out of the ring. Marko goes for a dive and SM pulls Stunt in the way. SM chops him outside then chops the post when Marko moves. Mark topes him outside. Marko rolls him up for 2 and is hit with a stun gun and lariat. Marko kicks out at 2.

SM pulls Marko's arms back. SM bearhugs him. We cut ahead. Marko super kicks him in the gut and sunset flips him off the 2nd rope for 2. Marko flying forearms SM then corner lariats him. Marko 2nd rope euros him for 2. Marko crucifixes him for 2. SM goes for a thrill ride and the ref gets knocked down.

SM powerbombs Marko. Marko Stunt checks on the ref. SM grabs Stunt. Tommy Rich comes in the ring. He hits punches on SM then lariats him. Marko 2nd rope diving cutters him for 2. Marko tries it again and SM catches him with a thrill ride. SM pins him.

Thoughts: It was an alright bout with the crowd getting into it. Marko lost as expected but he looked good and didn't look out of place at all. This didn't get a ton of time but it was enough. We cut ahead at one point and I'm curious as to how much we missed.

Overall thoughts: It was an okay show. We had 4 matches. 2 were squashes, one wasn't good and the main was fine. The crowd was into it, the presentation was good and it was nice to see Tommy Rich and Silas Mason. There's nothing you really need to see here but it was an unoffensive and acceptable show. I'd give it a 5 out of 10.

We see clips from last week's incident with K-Toomer and Gunshow.

Aaron Roberts is interviewed with his manager Justin Case. Justin said their spring break is a little different than yours - they like to break arms and legs. They ask for someone to be brought out so they can have some fun and do that. Justin said if you got a problem with Aaron, you settle it in the ring and asks for an open challenge.

Open Challenge - Aaron Roberts vs "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt

Ryan gets nailed from behind then takes punches. Aaron hits a nice big boot. Aaron corner splashes and lariats him. Aaron then vader bombs him for the win.

This was a short squash here with Aaron looking good.

Aaron pops a beach ball in the crowd after then is interviewed. Aaron asks if this is all they've got for him. He said he wants the biggest and the baddest. He then says he's not done and wants someone else.

Open Challenge - Aaron Roberts vs "The Genetic Nightmare" Mike Anthony

Aaron beats up on Mike as he gets in and hits some nice punches. Mike returns fire with punches then is body blocked. Aaron misses a corner splash Mike hits a jumping high kick. Mike picks up the win in an upset!

This was another real short one, but it made sense as it was an upset. This was Mike's return apparently, so that really works then.

Mike grabs a chair and sits in the ring as Aaron has to be held back.

Storybook Prince Gaston is dressed up in a belly shirt and his partner says their plan will happen. They said they love the plan but there's one person who won't. Gaston calls James Ellsworth and says the plan is happening tonight.

Derrick King does a promo. He says Ray Ray Sanders will come back and be better. He said they will take the tag titles and take out The Posse for good.

We see a clip of a Tim Bobsy match where he beats Austin Lane. "The Franchise" Shane Douglas gives him the title belt after.

Austin Lane is interviewed. He said it's hard to watch himself losing to Bosby. He said he doesn't know if ever lost 2 times in a row like he just did. He said Bosby was the better man, but it makes him ask what's next for Austin Lane? Austin says it's time to bring in new young talent to prove himself against. He said he needs to prove to himself that he is still "that guy".

Best of the Best Challenge - Austin Lane vs Kenway

Lane rushes him and misses then Ken does the same. They trade forearms then Ken hits punches. Ken flying dropkicks him then 2nd rope superplexes him. Ken exploders him and rolls with it to try and pin him. they trade forearms then Ken takes a pumping knee. Lane guillotines him then grounds him with it. Ken picks him up but goes back down and Lane wins via submission.

This was a short one here and it was fine. Ken's a nice looking face and may be able to do something someday.

Lane refuses to let the hold go after.

We see clips from last weeks battle royale.

Van Vicious and Jason Vain vs Uncle Mikey and Colton Cage

 

Mikey takes shots from Van to start then Vain puts Mikey in the corner and chokes him. Mikey has his head banged off the buckle then Vain pounds on him. Vain slams Mikey then Van grabs Mikey's hand and tries to make him tag. Vain and Hollywood Jimmy choke out Mikey in the corner then Mikey rolls up Van for 2.

Van clotheslines Mikey then Mikey is thrown out. Mikey comes back in and we go to break. We return and Mikey is still getting beaten up on. Mikey hits chops on Van then is pulled down by the hair. Mikey takes a chop on the ropes, Cage blind tags himself in then slides under Mikey and rolls Van into an upkick. Cage hits a big knee then 619's Van.

Mikey is tagged back in, though he's out of it. Cage goes up on top and is hit down then Mikey rolls up Van and wins it.

I get what they were trying to do with the faces getting the surprise win, but the finish could have been done a little better.

Mikey and Cage are interviewed after. Mikey says "we did it". Mikey says he taught Main Event Bradley everything he knows, but he didn't teach him everything Mikey knows. He said Main Event Bradley won't get away with trying to shave his mustache. he said he now has to deal with Memphis Michael and Michael isn't having any of it. Mikey challenges Main Event Bradley to a hair vs hair match. Cage gets on the mic after and said he can beat Van Vicious anytime. He challenges him to a one on one match and says if he wins, he should get Hollywood Jimmy in a match after. The heels don't like that idea.

Mackenzie Morgan is in the back and Big John Dalton goes up to him. John wants something from her and Morgan said he's been getting in her way. He says he's her friend and Morgan says there's no friends in wrestling. He tells her that she can't trust Cassandra Golden. He said he has heard some stories and he will try to have her back.

Women's Title - Cassandra Golden vs "Dangerous" Diana Taylor vs Mackenzie Morgan vs Nyxx

Nyxx takes down Diana and they catfight. They go out and Nyxx pounds on her. Golden takes down Morgan as Nyxx keeps pounding on Diana. Golden shoulders Morgan then splashes her in the corner. Morgan does a running hip attack on Morgan then battles Diana. Diana clips her then bulldogs her.

Nyxx forearms Diana and samoan drops her. Morgan shining wizards Nyxx for 2. Morgan and Golden trade forearms while Nyxx and Diana fight up top. Nyxx goes down then Morgan superplexes her while taking a powerbomb from Golden.

Gaston and his buddy come down and give Golden a chair. Golden thinks about hitting her but lets it go. Golden picks her up and hugs her then the two argue with Gaston. Nyxx then gets the chair and nails Morgan and Golden. Golden is ddt'd on the chair and Nyxx wins the title.

It wasn't too long and certainly not long enough for how many people were involved here. Seeing Gaston in his underwear was not something I wanted to see.

Overall thoughts: Not as good as the last ep. It started off well with Roberts and Anthony and kind of went downhill from there.

K-Toomer, the master of Fat Jitsu has returned.

Big John Dalton is with some of the fans and Lince Dorado comes in. Lince says we have a spring break open challenge tonight.

K-Toomer is interviewed.  K said it's spring break and he should be the new Memphis champion. He said he's got a match tonight but it's not going to be a match, it's going to be an execution. He said all you will hear tonight is, "Toomer's gonna kill you". He tells Gun Show that he's coming for the title tonight.

Gun Show comes out. He said Toomer's the man around here and tells him he has got his chance at the title coming. He said until then though, he'll be watching his back. K-Toomer says respect and says he has his back too. He said he wants him at 100% and at his best. He said he doesn't want anyone questioning why he's champ when it comes time.

Reverend Ash Taylor has some people he's trying to get money from for his collection plate. Ray Collins throws the plate down and gets beaten up for it.

Brother Bruce vs Ray Collins

Ray jumps Bruce and runs right in. He hits punches and pounds on him in the corner. Bruce comes back with a forearm and a throat trhust. Ray lariats him then dropkicks him. Ash Taylor gets on the apron and gets hit, then Bruce nails Ray from behind. Ash brings out Brother Red, whose a big dude and Red goes to chokeslam Ray. Big Swole Justin Cole then comes in to make the save.

There wasn't much to this one before the DQ.

We see some clips of Memphis Wrestling at the Memphis Grizzlies basketball game. Tommy Dreamer and Bubba Ray Dudley showed up and they had a match way up in the stands. Tommy and Bubba got the win and the Memphis mascot got involved.

Big John Dalton goes up to two guys named Gio and Draco. John needs a partner and neither one of them are interested. 

Open Challenge - Lince Dorado vs Zay Washington

Zay flips him over with the arm then Lince trips him. Lince shoulders him over then Zay cartwheels out of his springboard armdrag. Zay hits a hurricanrana but Lince cartwheels out of it then Zay hits armdrags. They dropkick each other at the same time and have a stand off.

Zay backflips into a headscissors takedown then goes for a dive but takes a Lince kick. Zay then takes a baseball slide off the apron to the floor. Lince top rope crossbodies him to the outside.

We go to break as Lince puts a chinlock on and we return with Zay getting out of it. Lince hits chops then Zay hits chops. Lince suplexes him then takes a spinning high kick off a missed moonsault. Zay hits clotheslines then jumping neckbreakers him. Zay hits a powerslam for 2 then Lince handspring back cutters him. Lince hits a superkick and a brainbuster for 2.

Lince goes up top and misses an SSP. Zay then misses a top rope 450. They trade punches and Lince hurricanrana's him. Zay reverses it and rolls him up for the surprise win.

This was a good one. Zay totally held up his end of the bargain here and didn't look out of place at all with Lince. The crowd was into it and they didn't overdo it. Good stuff here. 

The Posse do a promo on Derrick King. They say nobody believes in him anymore and say his boy Ray Ray is in the hospital. They say this isn't over until King is put in the nursing home.

I think Storybook Prince Gaston is on the phone with James Ellsworth. They said they won't let him down but there's been some hiccups.

#1 Contenders Tag Team Battle Royale

Rocky, the mascot for the Memphis Redburns is Big John Dalton's partner. Rocky hits a stunner then a bunch of people take a crossbody. We get a bunch of eliminations in a row and Rocky the mascot is thrown over the top by Jason Vain. Magma the masked wrestler is thrown over the top then Van Vicious goes over too. Jason Vain and Gio go at it then someone else is gone. We have 4 people left - Gio, Draco and The LA Hustlers. They all brawl and Roughshot, of the LA Hustlers essentially throws himself over. Roughshot then pulls Draco over. The other LA Hustler, Bradley Diggs, gets a chain and nails Gio. Gio is then thrown over the top and the LA Hustlers win it. They become the #1 Contenders for the Tag Titles with this.

They kept it moving and it was short. Seeing Rocky the mascot fight in this was entertaining. 

Barnabus the Leader does a ringmaster gimmick and brings out Maurice the Strong. He talks about how strong and big he is and says he will permanently eliminate K-Toomer.

Maurice the Strong vs K-Toomer

Toomer hits some big kicks and knees then is slammed. The Gunshow comes out then Toomer hits a big saito suplex. Strong takes an exploder then Maurice iron claws him. They do a test of strength then Toomer hits headbutts to the chest. Toomer double chops him then Barnabus gets in the ring. Maurice is given a crowbar then Gunshow grabs the crowbar. Gunshow goes to spinning lariat him but nails Toomer instead on accident and Maurice picks up the win.

The finish worked for the storyline they are doing and what we got of this was good heavyweight wrestling.

Maurice and Barnabus thank Gunshow after then Toomer and Gunshow are in the ring. Toomer is upset and Gunshow tries to explain himself. Gunshow tries to leave and Toomer grabs his arm.

Overall thoughts: A real fun show with a hot crowd and a good presentation. Zay Washington really showed up against Lince Dorado and the Gunshow/K-Toomer stuff was good storytelling. This may be a small indy, but somehow most of their roster is bigger than AEW's roster.

Championship Wrestling From Memphis Episode #5 3/27/2021

I've never seen this promotion before so I am not the most knowledgeable about it. I just had some spare time and wanted to do something different. Most of the wrestlers are just your local wrestlers and I'm not going to be too hard on them.

We were shown clips of Brett Michaels winning the Cobra Cup and then getting jumped by Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson. They broke Michaels' trophy.

Brett Michaels comes in with a bat looking for Steel and Dotson. He was told they aren't here and he says he is taking them out if he sees them.

Dustin Starr and Maria Starr welcome us to the show. I think they are husband and wife.

We see the remains of the Cobra Cup and Michaels comes out.

Brett Michaels vs Jay Smooth

This is Jay's debut. Jay takes a hard ride into the buckles and takes a spinebuster. Brett poses and hits a spinning clothesline for the win in a quick squash.

Precious tells Casandra Golden then would make a good team.

Justin Cole gets interviewed and immediately jumped by Mike Anthony with brass knucks.

We are shown a promo from Mike Anthony last week where he says he will accept Cole's challenge. We are shown clips from the match where Cole hits a twisting superplex and rolls up Mike for the win.

Also from last week, Van Vicious took the place of Derrick King and hits possibly Chriss Lexx in the back with a briefcase to win.

Cece Chanel is interviewed. She has a British accent and is happy to be here. Amber Rodriguez comes in and said she should be interviewed and not Cece. She tells her to watch the match and see how it is done.

Diana Taylor vs Cece Rodriguez

Diana hiptosses her and armdrags her. Cece blocks a slam and rakes her back. Cece then spanks her. DT comes back with some lariats for 2 but Cece evades a dropkick. Cece puts her in a sharpshooter with the arm hooked in the middle of the ring and taps her in a quick one. DT has to be helped to the back. Cece showed some personality here.

We get a commercial for "Suits U". It has a catchy little jazz theme song for a suits store.

Tickets for April 11th's show are sold out!

The Starr's do a promo for Pro Shingle.

King Cobra, a former Memphis wrestler, does a promo putting over the show. He said Memphis Wrestling is coming back and said is happy about The Cobra Cup. He said Dotson smashing the Cobra Cup was just gutless and it is like sticking an arrow in his heart. Cobra said there will be some reprocussions for that ansd said Brett Michaels will come back.

Yung Goats (Zay Washington and Aaron Roberts) vs The Crowleys (JackSYN and Otis Crowley)

The Crowley's have pretty cool masks for their entrance and one of them has smoke coming through his. One of them really looks like Kizarny.

Zay does a split legged moonsault off the top onto one of The Crowley's then Zay throws Aaron onto his opponent. A Crowley hits a sling blade on Aaron and one of the Crowley's comes off the bottom rope with a bulldog. The Crowley's trip Aaron into a stunner. Aaron hits a backfist and then flips over a Crowley. Zay makes a nice hot tag and a jumping neckbreaker. Zay then half and half suplexes possibly Otis. Zay then springboards off the 2nd rope for a cutter, which Otis breaks the pin on. Otis rolls up Zay out of nowhere and wins it. Zay can move for beinga little bit heavier and this was a short but decent match.

Humongous then comes out and has a black mask. Humongous chokeslams Aaron and we are told is an associate of The Crowley's.

Van Viciouss talks to Katelynn Black and Derrick King in the back. He says Nikki Lane is challenging Black and they all laugh. She says she will accept it on her own time. They then all laugh again.

We get a nice commercial for Tops Bar-B-Q.

Memphis's legendary announcer Dave Brown and Dustin Starr do a commercial for a shingles company.

Bam Bam Malone vs Action Jackson

This is Malone's debut. Jackson has a backpack with what Starr calls "Action Juice". He then says "When I say Action, you say Jackson".

Jackson is going to wrestle with the backpack on. Malone rolls out of a wristlock and hits a nice punch. Action goes for a leapfrog but leaps into an atomic drop. Jackson gets his back banged off the top rope chain then is back suplexed for 2.

Malone slaps on a sleeper then tries to grab some of AJ's juice. AJ tries to mount a comeback but gets a dropkick. The announcers discuss what could possibly be in the backpack and Dustin says he should put a cushion back there to lessen falls. Action comes back with a bulldog but Malone evades his asai moonsault. AJ hits a single leg dropkick and cannonballs him in the corner.

Malone hits a flying kick off the ropes for 2. AJ recovers and hits the sliced bread for the win. Not bad at all for a lower level indy and AJ is a fun character.

Our Slam of the Week is Steel and Dotson destroying the trophy.

Chris Lexx vs Derrick King with Van Viciouss and Katelyn Black

This is King's debut for the promotion. Lexx shoulderblocks him down to start and King accuses him of a hair pull. Lexx ducks a lariat and armdrags him down. Lexx hits a nice right hand. King stalls for a bit and Lexx sits up on the top rope. King slaps him hard and knocks him down to the apron.

Lexx really sells the slap and King hits a nice punch. We go to break and return with King in full control. King hits some nice Lawler style punches for 2. King hits a neckbreaker for 2 and pulls at the hair. King hits a nice boot in the corner and bangs Lexx's head off the mat. King goes for something in the corner but gets the second rope and goes down.

Lexx comes back with a spinebuster for 2. Lexx does a people's elbow type of move but drops a headbutt at the end.  Lexx comes back with a euro uppercut from the 2nd rope. Van gets on the apron and gets knocked down then Black pulls on Lexx's foot. The ref argues with King's seconds and Van nails Lexx with the briefcase. King then wins it with a superkick.

Lexx really really sold here, maybe a little too much which slowed down the match. King was very good all throughout working the crowd and just being an effective heel with great punches.

Overall thoughts: Not a bad show at all. Obviously, it's a local indy so you're not going to see the crazy moves and dives that you might see in other promotions. However, we saw a lot more of the basic fundamentals of wrestling that you don't see much of elsewhere, and that was nice.

USWA Memphis Wrestling TV 2/13/1993 Review

We got some clips from a Lex Luger vs Jerry Lawler USWA Title match.

"This match is being wrestled out of protest. Next time I come out, you guys better have a mirror for me." - Lex Luger

Love the white picket fences in this arena

Luger won after Brian Christopher interfered and threw him a chain, with which he hit Lawler with. We got about 6 minutes of highlights and the crowd was hot but it didn't look good.

Eddie Marlin came out and said people weren't going to be stealing belts. He then said each man would be fined $5,000 and he would go get the belt back personally.

Love the Marlin flop and the nasty flying chair Brian takes

They had a small brawl with Lawler getting his head hit off of a stall and Marlin being thrown into a table.

"I am the new Unified champion. I trashed Lawler in the ring and I trashed him back here afterwards." - Luger

Lex said he'd come back and put his USWA title on the line against Lawler.

"Lex Luger, you may be bigger than me, but you're not bigger than me and all of the USWA Nashville fans. I'll prove it to ya tonight." - Lawler

Brian Christopher vs Jeff Jarrett
Christopher has Luger, Prentice and Samples with him.

Brian asked Lex not to come and watch the match, then said okay, come and watch the match.

Samples trips JJ | "It looks like a little tarmac from under the ring tripped Jeff Jarrett there." - Luger

"I think his shoelace was untied." - Luger

JJ won by DQ when Samples came in. Not much to this one unfortunately. It was half stalling and half shenanigans with little wrestling of note. JJ took a 3 on 1 beatdown until Lawler saved him.

We got a PG-13 promo.

"Everybody else is out of style. They the Atari and we the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis and all that." - Wolfie D

They did a rap on competition:

Jerry Lawler vs The Rock N Roll Phantom

Lawler won by DQ quick when Samples/Prentice got involved. JJ and Brian came down for the big brawl.

Brian provoked Lawler after, challenging him and King chased him down and nailed him.

They showed The Rock N Roll Phantom and Bert Prentice having a jam session:

Not much was shown here as JJ won by DQ after a guitar shot.

JJ said he too knew how to use a guitar and would put the Phantom on his back.

Eddie was supposed to be there for a match with Doug against the Harris', but wasn't. He said he'd beat up Eddie if he showed up late again and Eddie walked in.

Eddie said Doug ditched him at the airport during the tag title tournament a few weeks ago. He said he said Doug talking crap at the airport on TV.

"You have a little problem and it's called jealousy." - Eddie Gilbert

Eddie said Doug was the king of nothing and said let's talk about it in the back,

Doug jumped Eddie.

Jeff said he was gonna get payback on the Phantom and bring weapons too.

"You'll never see me on TV without my hair." - Samples | "Does that mean if you get your head shaved you're gonna leave or what?" - Dave Brown

Samples had a match coming up with his hair on the line and said with the Bruise Brothers, there's no gamble because they can't lose.

The Brothers won quick with a double boot on Alzado. Pretty safe squash for a change with them.

Overall thoughts: This wasn't a very good episode. I really only liked some of the clips of the Lawler and Marlin vs Christopher and Luger brawl and not much else. The matches were wastes of time and the promo's weren't good enough to make up for it. Skip this.
