EPW Wrestling 1/24/2026 Episode #226

Gene Jackson and Joey Gross are on commentary

From last week, Cody James and Chris Styles talk in the back. They say The Order things they run roughshot around here. Mr. Swiss, the commissioner, comes in. He says they have a tag match tonight. He says if they don't win tonight, they are blacklisted. He says they won't work for EPW and he will call every promoter so they don't get booked back up north.

The commentators run down the card.

The Country Gentlemen (AJ and KC Cazana) vs Cody James and Chris Styles

Cody and Chris are blacklisted from EPW if they lose here. Chris has the long hair and Cody has the shorter hair.

Chris side headlocks AJ then front facelocks him. AJ rams him into the buckles. AJ backs him up into the buckles again and we go to break.

We return from break. Chris hits gut punches on AJ in the corner. AJ clubs on Chris. AJ misses a corner charge and is back body dropped. KC then gets hiptossed by Cody. KC and Cody the fight. KC is flapjacked on the buckles then Cody running lariats him for 2. 

AJ knees Cody in the back from the apron then KC drops Cody with a punch. KC slams him then struts with a legdrop. AJ 2nd rope elbow drops Cody. AJ clubs on Cody's chest. Cody hits shots to the gut and is hit with a kneelift. 

AJ drops KC onto Cody. KC stomps Cody's fingers and bangs his head off the buckles. AJ punches Cody in the corner and rakes his face on the top rope. AJ corner spears Cody then runs into a big boot. Cody boots him away and tags in.

Chris dropkicks AJ out then backdrops KC. AJ is tripped onto KC by Chris. Chris top rope elbow drops KC for 2. Cody goes up top and is crotched. Chris takes a russian legsweep + running back elbow and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was an acceptable match with The Cazana's winning as expected. There was nothing wrong with this. Cody and Chris are supposedly not blacklisted for losing this bout. 

From last week: Makkari Kandy tries to shake hands with Raven Black in the back. She says she won't shake her hand. Kandy hits her hat and the girl spits. Kandy says she doesn't have time for this as she has a title match.

Makkari Kandy is interviewed by Jaxx Roxx. JR asks about the issues between Kandy and Raven. Kandy says she was taught to be respectful in wrestling. She says she went to shake Raven's hand. Raven wouldn't and spit on the floor.

Raven Black comes out and interrupts. She says Kandy wants to come out and be a crybaby about her not shaking her hand. Raven says respect is earned through violence. Commissioner Swiss then comes out. Swiss says we aren't about to do this and he doesn't care about none of this. Swiss confirms that they want to fight. He says they can fight but not today. He says the best thing they can do is get out of his arena. Swiss says he has a show to run and tells them to hit the road.

"All The Way" Ray Collins vs "Kickflip" Isiah Cone

Cone does a skateboarding gimmick.

Cone boots him in the gut and side headlocks him. Cone dropkicks him for 1. Cone side headlocks him. Ray misses a dropkick. Cone forearms him. Ray lays on the top buckle and is kicked in the ribs. Cone chops him in the corner.

Cone bangs Ray's arm off his shoulder. Ray 2nd rope dropkicks him. Ray boots and foot chokes him in the corner. Ray chokes Cone over the 2nd rope. Ray snapmares him and chinlocks him.

Cone jawbreakers him. He hits chops and forearms. Cone spin kicks and spinning forearms him. Cone running facekicks him in the corner then hits a lightning spiral for 2. Ray boots him off the ropes. Ray is popped up and rolls Cone up for 2. Ray boots him in the gut.

Cone facekicks him then hits a pop-up backbreaker for the win.

Thoughts: The finish wasn't the cleanest but it was an acceptable match otherwise with Cone being the face and Ray being the heel. They didn't do anything too wild here.

Zay Washington vs Prince Moulay

PM does some goofy shimmies during his entrance.

Zay boots PM and mocks his shimmy. Zay forearms him. PM boots him in the gut and chops him. PM side headlocks him and hammerlocks him. PM jumps over him, slides under him and rolls him up for 2. Zay then chops him down.

PM dropkicks Zay out. Zay bangs PM's arm off the top rope then pushes him shoulder first into the post. Zay backdrops him for 2. Zay chops and clubs him. Zay hits corner spears and gets a 2 count on him. 

PM hits punches and forearms. Zay chest forearms him on the ropes. PM springboard back elbows him and sends him out. PM tope con hilos him outside.  PM gets a 2 count on him inside. Zay hits elbows to the back of the head. PM superkicks him in the gut. Zay exploder slams him and pins him.

Thoughts: I like Zay. Everything he does connects, he has a tough demeanor and I liked his exploder finisher. PM's young and trying but some of his stuff comes off of as comedic when I don't know if it's supposed to. 

Moses Cain vs "Brown Sugar" Chuck Swann

MC is a big dude. Swann dances a bit as part of his gimmick.

MC stares down Swann. Swann flicks something in his eye and tries to punch him. MC no sells it and isn't bothered by his punches. MC throws him then hits shots in the corner. MC throws him then corner splashes him. MC punches him in the gut and boots him down. 

MC chops Swann in the corner. Swann hits punches and MC knocks him down. Swann ducks a lariat and knees him in the gut. Swann dances into a forearm on him. Swann spinning ddt's him. Swann does a spinarooni and is thrown on a ddt attempt. MC lariats him. 

Swann blocks a black hole slam and pins him with a roll up off of it.

Thoguhts: I was surprised to see Swann here. It was a shorter bout. Swann wasn't quite as fiery as he needed to be but MC was fine as the big man here. There were a lot of gut shots in this.

MC flying facekicks him after then hits a black hole slam. 

We see a promo with Parental Advisory talking. They say they need this win vs The Country Gentlemen. We see clips of them losing to The Country Gentlemen. We then see Hunter from that team turn on his brother Dakota.

Hunter Dabbs vs Dakota Gage

This is a brother vs brother match.

They lock up and rolls on the ropes. DG clean breaks HD. DG is backed up in the corner and piefaced. HD says he's always been the better one. DG slams him then shoulders him over. HD dropkicks him but DG brushes it away. DG armdrags him.

HD blocks a slam and DG holds his knee. HD thinks about kicking him in the knee but doesn't. DG rolls him up for 2. They argue in the ring. DG offers a handshake. HD slaps him instead of shaking his hand. They slap each other and hockey fight. 

Their dad Tony Dabbs comes out with Jaxx Roxx. Their dad breaks it up. He says this is enough and they are brothers. He says it's not worth it and says it stops right now. He tells them to shake hands and make it up now. The Iniative then come in and chair Gage and Dabbs. The dad is beaten up too. Gage is tied up in the ropes. Dabbs is put in tree of woe and their dad takes a spike piledriver. A female valet comes out and spray paints the dad's chest. 

Thoughts: We didn't get a finish here as the brothers' dad ran in and broke it up. They all then got attacked by The Initiative and this is likely going to lead to something. They had the right idea with what they did here and of course, we will have to tune in next time to see how this plays out.

Overall thoughts: There was nothing must see here but nothing offensive. It was an okay show and it was pretty good for the level this promotion is at. We got some follow ups from last time, we got some things set up for next time and everything made sense. The commentators are good and they have a nice little thing going on here in EPW. It wasn't a bad watch at all and I'd give it a 6 out of 10.
